Relaxed, quiet atmosphere. Very small closet as reception, with dangerous step through a wooden door nearby should be looked at, its a nasty accident waiting to happen!
An unexpected delight. Right in the centre of town, recently refurbished and tastefully decorated. Very helpful staff. No parking at the hotel, but we parked directly outside following directions from receptionist. A real gem. Breakfast was a bit basic and uninspiring - single toasted slice of bread and jam, although the coffee was fab.....
Absolutely stunning hotel with excelent service
Rooms large and comfortable. Menu del dia in cafeteria excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Unable to sleep due to noise from cafeteria, hallways and reception area throughout the night. For this reason we would not stay here again.
Much better than we expected a road side hotel to be. Spacious rooms and not noisy at all. Good food also.
Excellent restaurant.with a nice good value menu del dia and really good buffet breakfast with of plenty of choice. centrally located. Garage parking expensive, considering poor access and leaking roof in the garage. no free parking in the immediate vacinity
The room was pleasantly decorated. The service in the restaurant for breakfast was totally unacceptable. One coffee arrived, then the next, then the croissants, then about 15 minutes later, despite a reminder, the butter and jam arrived, together with the orange juices. The whole process tood 25 minutes and one coffee was only tepid on delivery. The dinner service the night before had been reasonable. When we mentioned our dissatisfaction at Reception, we were advised that they were short of staff and as we had not booked breakfast, they were not committed to providing it despite the fact that the restaurant was open. No English television although the Manager's Information Booklet said there was access to International television.
decent services, friendly staff the giant dirt and concrete construction pit outside our room billed as an "indoor swimming pool."
Comfortable room and friendly staff
Super hotel. Looks like a motel from the outside, but a palace when you walk into it. Decor is very nice and excellant value for money. Will definately stay again. Close to Guadix racing circuit which was the reason for our stay.
very good as stopover hotel nothing
Room was nice. Convenient location by highway. Internet service costs 12 euros per day, and didn't work very well. Breakfast in restaurant was expensive and not very good - 12 euros for toast and juice and coffee for two.
Very large accommodation, a suite really for the price of double room. Only view from window, (building partly completed) but it did not spoil our visit.
The Finca and it's rooms are decorated in a lovely Moorish style. The owner was very nice and welcoming as if inviting you into her home. We ate at the restaurant and had a lovely meal for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was very limited, would have liked more choice. Swimming pool looked a bit grubby.
Friendly, welcoming owners and dogs! Quiet, countryside location convenient for both Granada and Sierra Nevada. Lovely view of sunsets over Granada from bedroom balcony. Buffet breakfasts are good and three course evening meals are excellent value. The Finca has a rustic, Moorish charm. Difficult to find if relying on GPS/SatNav - use Finca Aldabra's directions!
Very pleasant and helpful hosts. Peaceful location with views over hills to the city. Access to the city was easy by car.
Everything was perfect. Just what we asked for, nice, clean, quiet, breathtaking views, the nicest staff ever.
The staff were charming and v helpful. The vista was lovely. The menu de noche was extremely good value and with local recipes.Aspects of the hotel were delightful. Lack of plug in the basin. The shower was badly fixed and adjusted so that we had to hand hold the fitting. After a day skiing, it would have been nice to have had a bath!
The rustic informality and the ability to just relax in the lounge area. The hotel and its staff made you feel you could relax. The rooms were very comfortable and the air-conditioning easy to work etc for warming or cooling the rooms. The hotel had a family atmosphere. The cuisine was local / traditional and very enjoyable. Considering other hotels around the cost was very competitive. Maybe an area for improvement would be the soap and shampoo facilities available, but nothing more.
The owners have spent a great deal of time and effort to produce one of the very few hotels that not only look like a Spainish farm but it has a very nice feel about it.Thoroughly recommend this hotel for that Spainish feeling none
It's a gem. Super friendly and helpful hosts (Enmma). Tastefully individually decorated room all with balcony. Very clean (and deep) pool, lots of shaded area for outdoor and very happening/relaxing out door porch bar area. You will be impressed how this little joint has everything! 3 coure meal at night at 15E with 3 choices of each course. Food (home cook) are at reasonable standard too.. highly recommend it if you want somewhere away from the fuzz and buzz of the city. Hot plate, such as eggs will be good if it's available on request.
The owners, Inma and her husband were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Inma spoke good english. We felt like part of the family. Breakfast was "continental" buffet style and the optional evening meal had a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts. A glass (or two) of wine was included in the price. The food was very good "home" cooking. There is a terrace bar with views of the lights of Granada in the evening and a small pool which was clean. Our room with a balcony had rustic charm and an efficient air-conditioning system. The location had wonderful views and was convenient for the Sierra Nevada and Granada both just 15 minutes drive away.
The hotel was centrally located for the town making walking around very easy. Its location also made it central for car excursions to the nearby Sierra Nevada and surrounding countryside. The hotel itself was clean, the staff helpful & pleasant and its restaurant had a pleasant ambiance. Overall a good experience. A mini-bar and beverages would have been welcome in the room.
This hotel is absolutely brilliant. The gym and spa are lovely, the room was luxurious, the breakfast was delicious, and without exception the staff are the friendliest I have encountered in Andalucia. I saw some comments on booking.com that the area is a bit run down - it is true that there are buildings that are unoccupied but this creates the charm of the place and I found the area completely safe. Hotel Comercio is a goldmine in the centre of a real Andalucian town. I love it and I hope to return soon.
The central location, and the staff were very courteous and helpful Some of the surrounding buildings were in a porr state of repair, which could put people off.
clean, comfortable, spacious rooms, good decor, pleasant and polite staff very basic fitness equipment, rather gllomy atmosphere in breakfast room so went elsewhere
Friendliness, comfort and food. Access street is narrow and parking difficult if hotel parking already taken.
proximity to city sights . A lovely restored building. The spa was closed on sunday
Nobody of the hotel staff speaks English, that is a problem if you want to have tourists from abroad.
Hotel Comercio was sheer luxury - what a treat! The staff were really friendly and the room was lovely. Guadix is a down-to-earth place to visit. Highly recommended.
very friendly and truely hospitable staff; quiet location but city centre; good restaurant with excellent value for money lunch and dinner menu
The location was fantastic and the host and hostess could not have been more accommodating to our family of mom, dad, 5 kids (1,5,11,14,15) and grandmother Directions were a bit vague and the English translation not very clear. But it was well worth the difficulty. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Evening meal was very good and service was fine.Room was clean and comfortable.Restaurant was quite impressive. A bit difficult to find because it is on the slip road back on to the motorway. The main complaint was the couldnt care less attidude of the staff about giving us breakfast. No suggestions most unhelpful, ended up eating a croissant from a plastic packet from the bar with a cup of camomile tea.Not the best start for the day.
Due to a function it was quite noisy until the early hours of the morning.
to much noise in the corridor
Clean room. Free parking on the street. Our room was small. The bed was very narrow and its legs were very unstable, so the bed was shaky for all the movements. The mattress was uncomfortable. We spent 2 nigths: on the first night we slept badly, on the second one we pulled out the additional mattress from underneath the bed and we slept better.
This was a typical small village Hotel, Rooms a little small, but clean and adequate.A Party in the restaraunt (Christening) all afternoon, meant that we could not get a meal,so had to go out.Ideal for an overnight stop to visit Granada, with out the Crowds. Beautiful views of the snow covered Sierras' Traffic noise from an ill fitting gully outside the hotel was annoying.was reported to staff, but will any thing get done about it!!?they did not appear suprised.
It's an excellent value-for-money accommodation. The hotel and the restaurant is a family business, they are very friendly (despite of the fact that they hardly speak English). The restaurant itself is also a good value-for-money place. We have dinner there 3 times - it's much better than in Granada for 25£ per person. The location is very convenient if you are on your own car to visit Sierra Nevada or such a nice place as Ronda or Nerja (all are fantastic one-day trips). Public bus to Granada is also good to use (if you know the time-table) Everything is good, especially given the price is very modest. It might be a little bit noisy if the locals celebrate something in the restaurant (however, it's nice to feel a local atmosphere). The main advice - learn basic Spanish - otherwise, it might be difficult to fulfill your expectation (e.g., to eat what you want).
Beautiful location in the Sierra Nevada, great base for hiking, picturesque village, friendly staff, good breakfast, really nice clean and modern rooms, excellent value for money
Very clean, very comfortable, nice staff - best value for money!
A Budget hotel at a fair price ( cheap and cheerful ) goes the saying. we did four nights and were pleased in general - you get what you pay for the desk staff were generally pleasant although some of the serving staff were decidedly unfriendly unhelpful and ignorant which prompted us to use other establishments for food and drink - I would suggest that this is not a truly international hotel
