Overview Reviews

10.0 Excellent
Pros: If you need to switch off from city life, this is the place to go. The Burrow is a small little world of its own. It reminds me of my favorite story book from enid blyton and laura ingals wilder. Close your eyes and you will hear at least 10 different birds singing, the water splashing by running ducks on the little lake, and the whispering sounds from the tree. The owner, Sue and Bill has proven that dreams do come true.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, quiet, relaxing experience. Sit on the verandah and chill out watching the birds on the lagoon. The hosts, Bill and Sue, are lovely, welcoming people. You will come away more grounded and ready to face the world again.

The Fridge full of fresh food for breakfast. Lots of fruit crackers chocolates on offer for snacks. We went to Dixon’s creek cafe bar and grill for dinner which Sue kindly booked for us and it was the best dinner we ever had. Steak and salmon were superb. No faults. Thank you Sue.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The linen on the bed was amazing, so soft and warm. Loved the fireplace and spa.
Cons: We would have liked to have been provided with some DVDs
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was adorable as well as being very clean and comfortable.
Cons: If I had to search for a fault it would only be that while the rest of our breakfast fixings were provided there was no milk for the coffees or cereal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the place very cosy. It was so close to the main town and a short drive to everything we wanted to visit. Thanks for a fantastic trip away!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and cosy little cottage stayed here with my partner for 2 nights it was clean comfy and can’t wait to head back
Cons: Nothing at all very happy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spa with bath robes, wood fire place, location.
Cons: Some of the light globes were out, apart from that no issues.
7.5 Good
Pros: I love this property however this time round was very disappointed with a few things which made our first night annoying see below. Breakfast rations were great as usual. Position is absolutely perfect. 1 minute from all coffee shops - hotel dining for evening.
Cons: It would appear that quality control was not as good as last time. Two out of 3 light bulbs in kitchen -lounge did not work so we could not read, -pillow on bed had been used and did not smell fresh all other pillows ok. - toilet seat broken . - not enough firewood kindling or firelighters had to go and buy our own at a cost of $15 and go to the woodshed and carry own in. Fire very hard to keep going even after good start. Bathroom plug need fixing chain broken. Butter knives would not cut toast nor fruit had to use a carving knife. Should not be rated as a twin cottage as there is only one bed which cannot be separated.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Cute and comfortable.
Cons: Out of all the lights only 1 worked in the living/kitchen area. So it wasn't very well lit. The cloth left for the dishes was dirty. The milk that was left in the fridge for our breakfast and coffee was out of date. Was used by the 2nd July, we stayed on the 12th! It was lumpy like yoghurt!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The cottage was clean and cosy. Loved the bed. It was so warm and comfortable. The location of the property is fantastic for access to the surrounding area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cozy Spa Nice bed to sleep on Location Secluded
Cons: There were ants in one of the cupboards. More mugs and glasses would have been ideal.

6.8 Good
Pros: the breakfast was a great end to our stay there were so many different options the resturant was nice and clean the food was nice also. the staff were great helping us with our personalised experience going above and beyond for my partner and i thank you very much for a nice night away.
Cons: however the room was not clean there was thick dust everywhere and there was mold in the shower on the walls not what i expected i dont mean to be rude i just like to be honest, thank you for a nice night away we did enjoy ourselves.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The surroundings were beautiful. Bathroom was lovely.
Cons: The bed sunk into the middle and was so uncomfortable. The accomodation is overpriced. The staff were unfriendly. The restaurant is overpriced.
9.5 Excellent
Cons: Food expectations were much higher given the food options for dinner. Wait staff skill level in restaurant needs polishing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I stayed in a twin room and it was unexpected that we also had a lounge. It was pretty much an apartment. The views were amazing. The room was clear and big enough to make it feel like home. Loved the robes, so snuggly. After a day of wine tasting it was great to be able to come back and feel so relaxed. I think this is the best accommodation in the Yarra Valley. The staff at reception were fully accommodating and friendly. I also recommend booking Yarra Valley Rides for your personalised private wine tour.
Cons: We arrived there in time for breakfast before we started the wine tour however was disappointed to see the only option was the breakfast buffet. I don't like buffets as I don't eat $30 worth of food. It would have been great to have an a la cart option and to have been served freshly made coffee or juice from the staff, instead of having to figure out the pod machine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and views of Yarra expanse of valley views Very courteous n helpful staff The restaurant served reasonably good delicious food.
Cons: The apartment units are not easily identified by their room numbers. And some rooms are located on 2nd /3rd floors which become inconvenient by stairs when we have heavy big luggages.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Booked 2 nights separately and was given 2 different rooms to stay at however Katie from front desk was kind enough to upgrade us to a garden view so we can stay in 1 room for the 2 nights. Room was spacious and comfortable and the view was lush and green
Cons: Spent my birthday dinner there and the F&B staff were quite short and abbrassive with us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved we could have a light lunch by the fire with a glass of your wine and then really enjoyed the meal at the restaurant in the evening the rooms are great with an excellent view all in all very happy with the whole experience Thanks
Cons: I really couldn't say I found anything I didn't like
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and view over breakfast Delicious wine tasting Perfect for a romantic weekend
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The restaurant was over priced for the quality of the food.

Pros: The extra touches like the hamper of food provided. Breakfast cereal, bread, honey from their bees, bacon, eggs, biscuits!! Also that the owner drove us to our wedding venue and even came to pick us up too! An awesome feature was that all four bedrooms had an ensuite!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT AND PLENTIFUL, ROSEANN WAS VERY HELPFUL AND MADE US FEEL RIGHT AT HOME. VISITED THE WINERIES FOR LUNCH THEN BACK FOR A COSY LATE AFTERNOON BY THE FIRE TOTALLY RELAXING
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cute little cottage, plenty of room to relax, some goodies left for us on the bench and bacon and eggs for breaks in the fridge. Radio was great while getting ready to head out. Having the fire lit for us while we were out was amazing. Great value for money.
Cons: Would of loved a blind on the kitchen window, bit creepy at night haha, but that’s about it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved DixiGlen. Roseann was so hospitable and made us feel extremely welcome. Breakfast supplies were amazing, including their own honey which was sensational; the beds were comfy; the kids loved the toys and games that were in the cottage and the fire was super cozy. Nothing was too much trouble; the pets/animals were friendly and loved a pat and the location was great. Thanks so much.
Cons: We had limited mobile reception, wifi would have been helpful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The inside of the cabin was beautifully presented, very clean and loved the well maintained grass area out the back with little patio. Also had a large spa and large shower which was a surprise. The breakfast hamper was more than adequate. The lady owner is a beekeeper and the honey was very yummy, mum and I even bought a jar each of her honey. Loved the door plaque she made with my name on it which I got to keep. The location was just few hundred meters away from the venue we were going to for a wedding (Immerse) which is why I chose it. Loved it and if ever needing to stay in the Yarra Valley again I will stay here.
Cons: Cannot fault the place or staff.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent and cottage very comfortable. It had a nice stove pipe fireplace and was very cosy. The owner had kindly lit in for our arrival.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: My only grizzle is we didn't stay long enough to enjoy this rural farmhouse.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything else, quaint setting, customer service, real honey and a fireplace. Fantastic!

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfy bed and good size room and bathroom for a couple. Breakfast offering was very good. Well located to surrounding areas of interest
Cons: Wifi signal was very faint, no 4g phone signal either (Vodafone). Not a lot of privacy with the shared verandah, but it was a nice sitting area. Lighting in room very low, considering outside light can’t be used if you want privacy with the curtain closed.
6.8 Good
Pros: The location
Cons: The pictures made it look more cosy
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: It is advertised as a Bed & Breakfast but when we got there breakfast was an extra $20 each. In all my travels when I have stayed at a B&B never have I had to pay for breakfast as an extra. Also there was no lounge facilities. I might as well have stayed at a motel.
Cons: I might as well have stayed at a motel. If they want to charge extra for Breakfast they should not advertise them selves as a B&B.
