Nice place, standard equipment but correct. Nice people at the reception desk. They couldn't find our reservation, but as there were free rooms, there was no problem.
Good location with scenic views. Enjoyed boat hire with reasonable cost.
If u need to stay around eidfjord it's a really good choice!!
Nice view over Eidfjord and lake from the restaurant. Personell is trying to make something of it. To expensive for what you get. Hotel is quite dated. Not really mountainview rooms. Thin walls in the rooms. Beds are small and not good. Just enough food for breakfast. Orangejuicemachine broken. I don't know how other hotels are in this place, but I wouldn't recommend this one.
good place, quite, good service
The staff was very pleasant and ready to help when needed.
Even when the internet should have been accessible only in public areas, it was possible to connect in one part of the room. Surroundings of the hotel were beautiful. Interesting history of the hotel - also documented in the lobby. Very good dinner - both food and service. Nothing
Possibly the best hotel I have ever encountered in 21 years of business trips to Scandinavia! And excellent value, too
Fantastic old hotel in the wilderness. Amazing location. Very historic. Rooms are a little run-down and bathroom was very small. But they were still very comfortable and the plus points made up for it.
We did not like this old hotel that there is nothing to do there and around -- will not come again
The Fossli Hotel has an exellent location near the waterfall. Also it's the most convenient hotel for tourists who are travelling by car. Staying at the Fossli Hotel, you feel yourself very close to nature, its beauty. It's brilliant that the history is preserved at the hotel. We loved this silient peaceful hotel and will be glad to visit it again!
Beautiful place, near waterfalls. Very kind staff. Nice old-fashioned little lounge with fireplace. Good breakfast and tasty dinner.
Courtesy of the staff. Spectacular setting overlooking a deep canyon from our rooom and overlooking a dramatic waterfall.
I liked the position of the hotel, the old style, the nice touches like the fireplace, piano, etc. Claudiu from the cafeteria was very helpful in making us feel at home. The waterfall of course is amazing and the view from the hotel just great. First room that was given to us was bad, although they had other rooms free that were looking much better.
The hotel receives too many travel groups during summer time. Some of the rooms are too close to the 'busy' elevator, which are very noizy even in late evenings. There aren't many choices for dinner buffet or breakfast, as there are mainly prepared for travel groups.
