Pros: What a gem of a place. Loved it and loved the hosts. This is a converted farm building, so a bit basic, and thoroughly lovely if you like old Swedish buildings. The hosts were lovely and told me all about the history and how the houses are built. Incredibly quiet location. Totally dark outside and no sound at all. I would definitely come back.
Cons: Nothing at all. It was great :)
Pros: Wonderful location and fantastic hosts. Located close to the river, Õsterdalālven where you might take a refreshing morning swim. Be careful with current!
Pros: Hospitality : the hosts were so kind that they brought us on our way something we forgot! Breakfast was excellent, in the garden as well as inside the guesthouse in case of rain. We enjoy swimming in the river, doing SUP, trampoline, playing table tennis and darts. It was also possible to play volleyball! The room was spacious and comfortable, typical of Dalarna, in a red wooden house. We warmly recommend it ! And there is a very good Thai restaurant nearby.
Pros: Beautiful setting in the countryside. The owners have done an amazing job remodeling, everything is brand new. Maria and Eric have been very accommodating to our every need.
Pros: Nice place ! Wonderful Breakfast!
Pros: Very cosy room, love to details and very lovely hosts.
Cons: Not a thing:)
Pros: Great location and excellent accomodation
Cons: Clean quit everthing you need was available in your room or shared kitchen . Staff was very friendly Great view
Pros: very friendly accommodating staff, providing great facilities for our baby. fantastic breakfast options and a beautiful calming location. rooms were well equipped and clean.
Pros: Nature is amazing
Cons: Everything else was bad. 0 hospitality
Pros: The landscape
Cons: It was dirty like it hasn't been cleanned in ages. It has no ventilation (the windows were sealed).I couldn't breath properly overnight due to the humidity , the lack of ventilation and the dust. It was the Worst hotel I've ever been to. We've been put in a kind of barrack with no shower and no kitchen(supposedly was included).

Pros: Good breakfast. Excellent shower.
Cons: Rooms were on the cramped side, price was high, but this is Scandinavia, so it's expected.
Pros: The place was as promised. Recently refurbished tastefully. We were allocated a bigger room, that was comfortable for a family of 2 adults and 2kids. One of the best restaurants in the town was right downstairs, with excellent breakfast. IKEA and Kupolen shopping centre was just a 15 min walk away. The parking right next to the hotel was reasonably priced with few places always available.
Cons: Though the stay was most been positive,we did have a negative experience. My wife cut herself bad on a nail in corner of a bed that was difficult to notice. Thankfully it wasn't one of the kids. We found the staff at reception a bit cold to the issue, not even a 'sorry' was forthcoming.
Pros: The location was very good. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was excellent.
Cons: Limited WiFi was inconvenient. Pillows were not comfortable. Bunkbed did not feel safe (steps and guard were found on the side). Notice in the room said to call for assistance when needed and menu for room service, however, there wasn't a phone in the room and was told phones are not provided and room service is not available.
Pros: Delicious breakfast. New repair. Super bed.
Pros: very nice personell, including checkin (free upgrade! :-) ) , the cleaninh lady and restaurant personnel. superb breakfast!
Cons: busy restaurant at dinner ended up being a bit of Murphy; we arrived at 8 but had to come back 40 minutes later. then an order was mixed up and we had one person waiting for another 15 minutes; paying bill took long because of the orders were lost. but the total restaurant is very good, including food and people were very nice and helpful translating the menu.
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Spacious room and bathroom. Plenty of options for breakfast and very good food. Self check-in and out was very easy and really great after a long day not wanting to have that interaction with staff :) no iron in the room but we asked at reception and were given an iron and ironing board promptly. Great service and would definitely stay again!
Cons: Quite a few loud, strange noises at night! We also couldn't get the TV in the living area to work. I belive it said slippers and a robe were in the room but these were not available - not a huge problem for us but may be for some. Beds are a little too soft (definitely sleepable but not to my liking) Other than that it was great!
Pros: Perfect brekfest and service.
Cons: Room was too small.

Located in Leksand, Hotell Leksand is a 5-minute drive from Leksand Sommarland and 6 minutes from Leksand Golf Club. Featured amenities include luggage storage and coffee/tea in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: I knew I was in Sweden when I saw the breakfast room! The food was good as well. We had come to Leksand to visit distant cousins and found that Hotell Leksand was a good place to stay while we toured the Leksand area.
Cons: We might have chosen rooms that weren't right by the front door but we did not ask for the rooms to be changed.
Pros: Parking available outside, at times.
Cons: No breakfast served before 08:00 (we have been offered breakfast bags when checking out early before). Small room, with a tiny bed and very few utilities. The window opens right out to a sidewalk where people pass by. Lots of noise from beer joint across the street until late in the evening. Very expensive for the type of hotel.
Pros: The location was convenient.
Cons: No early breakfast was offered ( it was last year) They increase the price by a large amount from last year probably taking advantage of the local event (siljanrunt cycle ride)
Pros: Very kind staff Good location Nice room
Cons: The pillow i had was pretty worthless The shower was very small
Located in Leksand, Korstäppans Herrgård is on a lake, a 3-minute drive from Leksand Sommarland and 9 minutes from Leksand Golf Club. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. This hotel has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The area was beautiful, with a great location
Cons: Much more run down then is portrayed in the pictures. They do not have any air conditioners and we were put on the 3rd floor. The room temperature was about 90 degrees. No fans available. Now I realize Sweden was experiencing a very unusually hot July, but it was not tolerable to stay there. Ended up switching hotels, for one with a ventilation system,. Ended up having to pay almost 500 US dollars, and never even stayed, because we canceled after arriving.
Cons: More friendliness and service from personell at breakfast. Bad selection of teas for breakfast. Only flavoured varieties, not even any standard Ceylon breakfast type...
Pros: The staff was very friendly and made every effort to make sure our stay was enjoyable. They went out of their way to make sure my wife had gluten free options and made sure we were comfortable. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the view of Lake Siljan was beautiful. We didn't speak Swedish very well, but the staff spoke English well and helped us out a lot. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Pros: Great breakfast Close to the city centre
Cons: Relax zone and gym opening hours are limited - at weekends closes at 9pm and opens again at 10am. We stayed one night and because we arrived later, we didn´t have change to use this facilities.
Pros: breakfast was basic but good, cheap parking place for motorcycle or car, quiet room
Pros: Good location. Clean.
Cons: Room was on the small side but fine for one night.
Pros: Good breakfast buffet close to train station nice tidy spacious room
Cons: Longer bar opening hours
Pros: Easily accessible, comfortable rooms (with blackout curtains) and an excellent breakfast
Pros: location, breakfast
Cons: No free tea or hot water Charge of parking in the parking lot in front of the entrance
Pros: All services were at good level, except the retuarant
Cons: The restuarant’s service quality during the dinner time was very poor! it took more than an hour for a salad and a sandwich to be ready while only 4 tables were full. when we asked why would be the reason for the delay and why they did not tell us in advance, surprisingly we were told ”that is how it is and we can not do anything for you!” we aksed for the bill and it took another 15 minutes for us to realize we need to go to cashier to pay! this hotel seriously needs to train their restuarant staff. If I stay there again I will plan to have my meal somewhere else
Stay in the city centre, within walking distance of Norra Backa shopping district. Indoor pool, gym, sauna. 15 minutes from Romme Alpin ski facility.
Pros: Breakfast is excellent
Cons: The selection was OK. I'm vegan and had to make due with rolls, jam and tomato beans.
Pros: Good location, nice staff
Cons: Building a bit worn down
Pros: The selection that breakfast was supposed to have
Cons: 1. Breakfast. Many of the items that was supposed to be there was out and the fillip was poor almost not existing. The facility was not well planned and it was to crowded. As for example, there where no plates for over 15 min. And we ended up leaving with just a cup of coffee. 2. The room was dirty, the cleaning upon arrival was poor. we chose not to have any cleaning during our stay. 3. price wise I can say that I have lived around the world, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Paris and NYC. I payed mor or less the same price in Tokyo and NYC as I did in Borlänge, even do the hotels I chose in Tokyo and NYC/Manhattan Central Park, was in luxury class.
Pros: The location was great, close to restaurants and cafe shops. That was a saving point.
Cons: The family room was extremly small for a family with two children. It felt very crowded and claustrophobic.
Located in Insjon, Insjöns Hotell is in a rural location, within a 15-minute drive of Leksand Sommarland and Leksand Golf Club. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Perfect for a one-night stay with our 6-month old son, who slept very well in his own bed. Also very close to the train station!
Cons: The room keys are attached to this extravagant lumpy plumb-bob thing. Very unpleasant to keep in your pocket. Seriously need to upgrade to keycards. Some of my windows were missing curtains, including the bathroom.
Pros: breakfast was good, room is ok
Cons: the man at the reception looked depressed, no smile in the evening nor in the morning
Pros: It was only a short walk from the trainstation. Very friendly staff and beautifully situated. It is the only hotel in town but you don't need to look elsewhere anyway. Thanks.
Pros: location was ok Wifi was ok
Cons: My room was very poor, dusty and very old furniture. the bathroom was also very old fashion. in the evening there is nothing to do. I travel a lot, but last 10 years, I haven't seen a room like this. Dinner was acceptable but too expensive for the food you get.
Pros: very nice location
Cons: very old room and furniture, bathroom is cold
Pros: Breakfast was supposed to be available until a certain hour but its freshness did not match the whole period.
Cons: The general atmosphere was welcoming but a clear shortage of staff was apparent in the reception as well as the dining room
Pros: The location. The beds, though narrow, were comfortable. The staff were pleasant and friendly. The weather was good too (excuse me for being facetious!)
Cons: We had expected a higher standard. There was not much storage space, no drawers, except for small drawers in the bedside tables, with a cupboard and shelves beneath. The "comfort tray" was very basic. No small fridge. Toiletries consisted of two small plastic tubes of shampoo/body wash (rather nice), that was all. The handwash liquid was a cheap brand from the local Hemköp - it could have been put in a neutral bottle instead, perhaps? There was only one hook in the shower room, on the door, which made it difficult to store toilet bags. Breakfast was OK, with lovely coffee, but watered-down orange juice. Nice bread. The first morning the soft-boiled eggs were excellent, the second morning the whites were not fully cooked.

Pros: Made my own breakfast in the pentry which had a good-size fridge
Cons: Single beds don't have to be so narrow(?) and it would be nice with a comfortable armchair and some channels on the tv.
Pros: We stayed there for a night before an early ice hockey tournament. A perfect place where to sleep if you just want to do so (sleeping).
Cons: Could be extra soap and body lotion in the room.
Pros: Noisy in evening. They music bar close at 2AM. you can hear the noise in the top floor. The bath room is not good. There is no soap and shampoo.
Cons: Location is good.
Pros: The hotel arranged for separate beds on request and they were comfortable enough. Breakfast buffet better than expected. Generous checkout time.
Cons: Extremely small bathroom with a "fold out" shower wall.
Cons: heavy noise in the night

Pros: Atmosphere and a stuff were very friendly
Pros: Nice atmosphere Friendly stuff Very helpful
