Pros: Very nice welcoming, beautiful rooms, i love the location thanks to the nearby forests and surrounding nature, it was just a wonderful stay and I have absolutely no downside from this hotel!
Pros: Very friendly staff. Quiet place for relaxing after work. Very satisfied with this accomodation! Highly recommend !
Pros: Everything. The place is superb. Quiet but not isolated, country-like but not boring, cosy but not small, and so clean...really, I wouldn't know how to foul it. Plus, there is a fine local pub with Pilsen beer just round the corner. Who needs more?
Guests can enjoy garden views. At Penzion Folbr, the rooms have a desk and a flat-screen TV. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, rooms at the inn also feature free WiFi. At Penzion Folbr rooms include a seating area. Guests at the accommodation will be able to enjoy activities in and around Dlouhá Lhota, like hiking and cycling. Prague is 50 km from Penzion Folbr. The nearest airport is Vaclav Havel Prague Airport, 60 km from the inn.
Pros: The hotel is not big, comfortable and located in a silent village place. If you don't like to live in touristic places in Prague and would like to know how Czech people really live I recommend to spend 52 km from Prague center to this hotel (better if you have a car, but anyway - there are buses from Smichovkske nardazi bus station to the village - Dlouha Lhota). Hotel is new, rooms are clean and very comfort, good breakfast. Bathroom is perfect. Beautiful design of the hotel. You can pay for the room and restaurant by your credit card. If you think to have a pleasure flight by light airplane there is Pribram aerodrome in 5 km (I recommend to see okair.cz as the best flight price).
Cons: There are almost no outside infrastructure objects in that village, just beautiful places. For shopping (even food) you have to go to nearest city - Pribram. No fridge in the rooms, no air conditioning. However, if you spend much time outside the room and use it mainly for sleep at night - it doesn't cause much discomfort.
Pros: Nice and calm place, ideal for rest. Amazing services, nice people, everything clean and functional.
Pros: We spent just one night in the pension on our way from Chesky Krymlov to the airport (the pension is very comfortably placed for such a stop if you have an early flight), and it felt very pleasant with nice rooms and big balconies overlooking the quiet countryside. The owners were very nice and the breakfast was good. I wish we could stay more!
Pros: All was great, facilities, view, great breakfast and great hospitality
Cons: We have paid more than agreed. On booking and on our confirmation price was in EUR, payment at the property in local currency. But exchange rate at the property was so bad (with now explanation why it is different than official, which we have showed to the staff) that the price charged for room was higher.
Pros: Arrival was excellent, dogs received some cookies and lots of cuddling from staff. We had a room with big balcony and dogs just loved this. Both dinner and brakfast were exellent.
Pros: Hotel is located in quiet and peaceful surroundings. Room was really comfortable and clean. Wi-fi working perfectly ;) Very nice breakfast. Very hospitable owners and staff :)
Pros: The have very good lamb in the menu. It was tender and tasty. The receptionist was welcoming and willing to accommodate us the best possible way.
Cons: I would appreciate more vegetables for breakfast for vegetarians.
Pros: Very nice rooms and friendly staff
Located in Budínek, 49 km from Prague, Chalupa Budín provides a garden and free WiFi. The accommodation features a sauna. Units are equipped with a flat-screen TV, a kitchen with a dining area, and a shared bathroom. A microwave, a fridge and oven are also provided, as well as a kettle and a coffee machine. Guests at the country house can enjoy a continental or a à la carte breakfast. Chalupa Budín offers a terrace. In addition to an outdoor pool, the accommodation also features a children's playground and shared lounge. The nearest airport is Vaclav Havel Prague Airport, 59 km from Chalupa Budín.
Pros: Imagine this, you wake up to music of the birds , open the windows to see the woods behind and the lush greens reminds that you are away from the city life. Chalupa Budin is a countryside cottage the justifies its name in all ways. Me and my wife particularly loved the huge spacious kitchen, the warm wooden bedroom, the European cottage architecture and the excellent hospitality of Thomas. The free parking inside only added more relief. If you are a star gazer, then watching the skies from here wont disappoint you as well. Its the best place to unwind, spend some own time and lie down in the grasses. The breakfast is also great here, but since the kitchen was so good, we cooked some of our favorite dishes as well.
Cons: There is nothing to be added in this section.
Hotel Panství Dlouhá Lhota is located in Dlouhá Lhota, 58 km from Prague, and offers accommodation in a baroque chateau or a chateau stables. The property features a restaurant with a summer terrace, as well as a private smokehouse. All rooms are non-smoking and feature free WiFi, a minibar, phone and a satellite flat-screen TV. Gym and tennis courts are also available. The hotel also offers car hire. The nearest airport is Vaclav Havel Prague Airport, 44 km from the property.
Pros: Fresh air very very historical and quite
Pros: Old palace restored with quality and taste.
Cons: Difficult to find.
Cons: no elevator, no air conditioning and no windmill for hot days
Pros: It is propper **** place!! Nice people working there. Big park with celtics runes on big stones and nice lake. Tennis courts, spa, swimming pool. Perfect for company events, weddings and as romantic place for couples. Restaurant with very good food. I have already made reservation again and will be returning shortly!
Cons: In general all was ok! No big issues during stay and we enjoyed it!!! Just maybe litle more comfortable bed would not be bad, but my girlfriend likes it so... And if I will be VERY strict now - restaurant waiters were little chaotic ;) but really just a little! (for example - on the restaurant garden : if one waiter is delivering 2 coffes and second running behind him with 2 more coffees whole way out it delays other orders. They could use a small tray and just one will take 4 coffees so customers will be waiting for order shorter time, BUT they were VERY NICE and POLITE to customers and food was very good so it was not a big deal - just recommendation to work with them on things like this...:) )
Pros: Great place with nice castle park. Awesome breakfast, great food in connected restaurant and very good equipped gym and nice pool in price of hotel room with spa for additional fee.
Cons: No elevator in case your room is at the top floor. In case you go to spa, gym, pool or restaurant you have to walk outside, which is not pleasant in the winter.
Pros: We loved the restaurant - service was great and the food was beyond our expectations. The staff was in general very helpful with great attitude. The swimming pool & wellness area is also nice. It was a good short get-away from Prague.
Cons: There were several hick-ups during our stay. Firstly the pool was quite cold and there were kids running around the wellness area - it was after 8pm, so not a good thing, if you want to relax. We stayed in the old part of the hotel and you could hear a lot from the surrounding rooms (someone woke us up at 5am). We were also charged extra fee for ordering a cappuccino at breakfast (no one said it is for extra cost), which was awful. In general the place is missing a homey feeling.
Cons: Great place to relax
Pros: An extraordinary place. An old castle.
Cons: A staff that actually spoke English would be appreciated.
Pros: The facilities are nice and look new, tasteful restoration of an old castle, nice atmosphere of the compound. All was clean. Staff was nice and welcoming.
Cons: The price for the accommodation was quite high already and then one has to still pay for additional entrances to the wellness, which is weird (especially if as in my case the sauna had 45 degrees only). It was also a bit annoying that one has to book the wellness in advance - so you need to plan when and for how long you want to go there and then organize your day accordingly, which is uncomfortable. Also, you pay for time limited entry to the wellness (e.g.hour and half of sauna), so then you need to keep track of time, which does not allow to relax properly. The location of the hotel is all right, but there is not much in the direct surrounding, so car is a must. Our main reason for the trip and selecting this place was the wellness which was at the end quite a disappointment. The breakfasts were only ok, if you want cappuccino for example, again you must pay for it as in the breakfast is only tea and coffee - for the price of the accommodation I would expect a bit more. Food in the restaurant in the compound was not the best either.
Pros: The place is nice. The staff is young and lovely. The place is nice and the restaurant is very good and open all day until late evening
Cons: Many hidden charges, expecially at the SPA, that are added one on the other. I was staying in a superior room, but I understood that there is just a small difference with the regular room. The equipment of the bathroom is very basic. Just two towels. One small and one medium. Not a big towel for shower.
Placed in a quiet, secluded area in the Brdy Mountains by the Nový Rybník Pond, the Penzion Nový Rybník guest house boasts of a mini brewery that brews its own beer brand. The rooms are modernly furnished, they feature a private bathroom and a TV and provide a WiFi connection. The restaurant in Nový Rybník Penzion offers international cuisine and breakfast is served every day. In their free time, guests can relax on a terrace, play tennis, beach volleyball, football or table tennis, while children can have fun on the playground with a trampoline. Sport equipment can be borrowed on site. The Brdy area provides vast opportunities for hiking, cycling and mushroom picking. The Obořiště Bus Stop is reachable within 2 km. The Dobříš castle featuring a large park lies 5 km from the property. The town of Příbram offers an aqua park, situated 20 km away. The Svatá Hora Monastery, a pilgrimage place by Příbram, is within a 20-minute drive. Parking and bike storage is available on site.
Pros: Very quiet place - close to Prag
Cons: A la carte breakfast. More choices in buffet version
Pros: The property is in a good location and has some nice features - for example the back patio with natural lake. The food is ok.
Cons: The staff is except for one waitress extremely unprofessional. Unfriendly, loud, not helpful. Upon arrival it is unclear where the reception is. The waiter “welcomed” us coldly with no information. We got charged up front with a lot of confusion. Got one room card instead of two as the other one was lost. When asked for sauna and massage we received a business card with a number to call. The lady was on holidays the whole time of our stay with no substitute so the reason of booking this stay was gone. There is nothing else to do. No sauna or other treatments available. We were pointed to an upstairs room that faced the bad smelling field and highway view with back parking lot right under the windows. Employees go to smoke there and constantly chat loudly or unload stuff into kitchen from vans. It is not a great experience getting woken up by loud talking and cigarette smoke but had to leave windows open due to the temperature in the room. The rooms facing the lake were not occupied so I guess we got the cheapest room... Since there were not many guests we got a la card breakfast - overcooked omelette and a tiny coffee. When I ordered a double espresso with milk I was charged incredible 110 CZK. The room had a dirty sofa with cigarette burn in it. The bed was just terrible. Holes in the sheets and the mattress was soft and sunk in the middle so my daughter and I got sore back after just two nights there (we are both not heavy at all). The bathroom had dirty walls with dents in it and when you shower water goes everywhere... You could smell sewage in the room. All together a great disappointment. Will never stay again although we were planning to. An overpriced annoying experience at a place with a lot of (lost) potential.
Pros: Everything was very good. Staff, etc. They were very tolerant of my lack of knowledge of the CZ. language. I really do not expect everybody to speak my language when I am the guest in their country. I hate stairs-but the single room that I had was well worth the short climb.
Cons: The wind seems to blow the wrong way for a non smoker as myself. Seems the evil spirits are always against me for quitting .;- ( Coffee---needs to be 1 part coffee mixed with 2 parts hot water- then relax out on the patio and let the morning start. *Note: When you print your reservation- be sure it is printed as paid in that CZ money. Mine was printed as paid in Euros converted to US Dollars. so they thought I should pay again in CZ. After some time, and with lots of help we found that you could change the country and the currency on the Booking .com reservation statement. (The changing is separate and does not automatically change the currency when you change the language of the country) Then it showed in the CZ language that it was already paid in the CZ kroner. I thought at first it was peculiar that it said Euro, but thought it was due to booking company error. Not so. When first making and finalizing statement be sure it shows CZ currency and in the CZ language. You can reprint another statement in your own language and and currency equivalent after that.
Pros: Loved the pension, beautiful drive to get there, amazing lake views, delicious Czech breakfast, great restaurant
Cons: the place was closed and none answered the phone other guests that were there told me the receptionist gone at 9 - while I informed them I'm coming at 11p
Pros: Babfriendly environment
Cons: You cannot walk all the way around the lake
Pros: Excellent food! Perhaps the best lamb roll I have ever tasted. Very nice and professional staff
Cons: Lights in our apartment were not ideal for family with children. No dim light option, all lights too bright. Bad when you have a sleeping child there. Also door to barhroom can only be opened to sides and an automatic light from the bathroom will lighten the whole room up. The room for massage was too cold
Pros: Breakfast and dinner are actually THE reasons I would go back. I've been in a lot of places in that area, and everywhere you get the same stuff for breakfast like bread-cheese-sausages,... except here! They have a breakfast menu, you can choose between continental, English, ... all very good - the breakfast is then prepared for each individual - there is no buffet. Also dinner is exceptionally good, I tried a couple of different selections and they are all great (burger, steak,...)
Cons: I was there for business and had a room without a desk, even not a small one, and no seat - no way to work in the room. Another "weak" point is they serve the breakfast as from 8.00 and not earlier. If you are there for business and you have an early appointment, then starting with breakfast at 8.00 is too late and not possible.
Pros: Heavy breakfast with nice bread and pastries; really good lunch and dinner kitchen. Location in nature on like, safe, quiet and clean
Cons: No kettle in the room and no fridge to dispose of guests. It's understanding in fully taking into account a strong orientation for using the penzion restaurant only. The owners should consider installing a vending machine with drinks. Some guests like a privacy and opening hours of the restaurant are limited. Taking breakfest should be possible earlier and at the restaurant tables. Performing liquid soap and shower gel should be added to the the amenities also. In my one person room tracing over the desk in niche was dark, will be nice to have in reserve a desk lamp for providng the guest when requested. By open window and wind from the lake side, cigarette smoke from the garden restaurant was strongly felt in the room

Pros: easy parking, good restaurant
Cons: The city itself
Pros: Nice location and easy to find Good for a basic rooms Evening staff very friendly
Cons: Booked 2 bedroom suite, but it is not a 2 bed suite. it is a 1 bedroom with beds also in the main room Note to say guest had to be quiet after 10pm, but as it was a pub the people drinking in the pub were noisy until after 11pm Food on Sunday night was very very limited as they had run out of most things breakfast was poor. A few things on a table. Not what i would call a breakfast option. So we cancelled it for day 2 and 3. No coffee in the rooms, but there was a fridge and a kettle
Pros: I love this place.
Cons: The room needs a full length mirror
Pros: Relatively good value for price.
Cons: Lack of english speaking staff
Pros: The food was really good (if you are ever there try the homemade marinated hermelin (spicy) and/or ribs (slided off bone)), the breakfast was good, so was the coffee. They brew their own beer that's also really good (try the dark one). The rooms are named after beer :). The room was good sized (with a high ceiling), the mattresses firm. All was as described. A really really nice stay. The location is great for cycling or walking and there are some interesting things to see nearby (Vojna memorial prison and The biggest mining museum in Czech)
Cons: The "boss" (we don't really know if he was the boss, but probably) was super nice and spoke english well (it's not our first language either). The rest of the staff was also really nice but spoke almost no english :), but they have an english menu for the food, so it's not impossible to order. It's not something I didn't like, but if you aren't used to conversing in "alternative" ways :) maybe prepare some czech sentences for the basic things you need.
Pros: The hotel has local brewery with its own beer!
Pros: Awesome beer and nice food for the really good price. Comfy rooms. Quite and nice surrounding.
Cons: Thin walls between some rooms but quite at night anyway.
Pros: Perfect! With delicious restaurant and great beer (own brewery). Great experience.
Cons: The street get little bit noisy in the morning
Pros: Croissants were incredible. Somebody, please, remove their plate, I’m on diet ))) Beer is very tasty, no need to go somewhere, everything is at your place. Pork knee is something, very tasty.
