9.6 Excellent (586 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really appreciated the kindness and thoughtfulness of Sebastian and staff- a cool box provided for our picnic food, early breakfast when we were leaving. The pool was a big hit for a relaxing time before dinner, towels provided too. St Beniot des Ondes is a lovely picturesque settlement with fine views across the bay and a clutch of excellent places to eat within a couple if miles. Our favourite place to stay during our holiday.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast,parking,location,hosts,dog,shower.
Cons: Nothing at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast, facilities and room. Enjoyed having the garden and pool to use. Handy for visiting Cancale and St Malo.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed the quiet area, lovely cosy garden with nice swimming pool and turtles! I definitely recommend this place for a relaxed moment away from the buzz of touristic places. Only 5 rooms and nice breakfast setting in the morning. You surely feel welcome and at home.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host was attentive and helpful. The decor of the bedroom was very well done with attention to detail. Good to have a kettle in the room. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. Lovely garden with pool.
Cons: Nothing, all was good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Located in between Saint Malo and Mt St Michael, but you should have a car ! Owners care about the guests by themselves. Breakfast is almost all-inclusive hotel size but with a very personal touch, local dishes and products. Several places to eat within a walking distance with the prices much lower than in more tourist places. Hotel can be used a base to explore the region for several days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: At a great location (both B&B and area), the hosts were friendly and although they only organize breakfast (which was very good) they offered to set a table in the evening where we could eat fresh 'fruits de mer'. Also, the room was very clean. Truly a B&B we can recommend!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We could see the sea opposite our room. Our bikes were safely stored in the garage. Tea and coffee facilities.
Cons: They didn't have a room with single beds. But the bed was wide enough to roll up a blanket and use it as a divider down the middle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location, impeccable property, very clean and well organized. Every morning Mickael was present in the breakfast room willing to answer our questions to give us direction and advise. Very good breakfast So nice to find every evening on our bed a small sweet something. Wonderful stay Again many thanks, you made our vacation better
Cons: Nothing to complain

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice, clean and cousy room with view towards sea
Cons: Sea is actually quite far, you cant really touch the water. Internet could be faster. Not easy to find the place. You need to be precise with address 7bis. Be ready to have breakfast in the owners living room
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very pleasant place. Quiet, intimate, nicely decorated. You may feel it as a distant home. Enough space for long walks ... flowers ... sea birds ... Romance is in the air. And no, don't be afraid, you definitely can touch the water without much trouble. But remember, it's a wild ocean beach. You will find no palm trees, no white sands, no crystal waters. Don't go there with fancy shoes ... Better prepare your sandals ... or your own bare feet :)
Cons: You can't get anything more without spoiling the local charm ...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were made very welcome. Lovely big room and the breakfast was excellent - not just croissants! We would definitely stay here again.
Cons: It is difficult to find in the dark - it is on the road from Hirel to Cancale and not in Hirel. Very confusing if you don't know the area.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good location, close to Cancale and Min Saint-Michel. Wonderful breakfast and very caring host.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful view. Great breakfast. Location convenient for both Cancale and Mont St Michel
Cons: Fairly small room, no wardrobe, not much within walkable distance
8.3 Excellent
Pros: At 1st the homemade bread, cakes and jam are excellent. The quality of the breakfast is very nice, esp the espresso. The hospitality of the host and hostess is excellent. The accommodation fit our expectations, we had an en-suite, the bed is big (King Size) and there is an attic with big window looking to the beach, a working desk, a relaxing chair and 2 asian style on the floor massaging/yoga mats (super cosy). We highly recommend this place and we will come back to this place again one day. A little note : the host and hostess only speak French, but I think that is not an issue at all as nowadays with a mobile phone and internet, everything can be easily translate and communicate is possible.
Cons: - The stairs to the 1st floor is quite narrow. - The check-in time is a bit late (it shows 17:30, but when we were on the way we received an email said is 18:00). - Though the bathroom is with light but the shower “cabin” is a bit dark. - Though the room is big and with lots of lights but could be nicer if above the bed or near that area a little bit more light. - it would be even more nice if there is a working desk in the room.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Our hostess couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Veronique is such a very nice person and L'Oisette a beautiful property, spacious, quiet with lovely furnishings and a very comfortable bed! She gave us lots of helpful suggestions and also managed to fit in a round of golf with my husband! We plan to go back!
Cons: The only slight inconvenience was having to drive somewhere for dinner

Pros: Véronique was a splendid host real friendly and helpful. Amazing location , very quiet next to a golf course at 30 minutes by car from Saint Malo and Cancale. We staied in the wood house with our dog, very comfortable. Kind conversation in the morning during the great breakfast. All was wonderful! Ancora grazie e un caro saluto a Véronique!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely breakfast. Charming hostess. Fantastic views onto the golf course which joins on to the garden. Very peaceful setting.
Cons: It is an English thing. I hate to mention it as Veronique would make us a cup of tea at any time, but we do like to have a kettle and cup and saucer in our room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed was incredibly comfortable, breakfast with fresh orange juice, croissants, farm eggs and great coffee was delicious. Veronique is the best bnb host we have ever experienced. She is welcoming, charming and knowledgeable of the area. It felt like we were staying at the home of good friends. Restaurant recommendations and bookings were outstanding as well. With our limited french language skills, it was very relaxing to converse easily in english (Veronique speaks a number of languages). We really loved everything!
Cons: All great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The house is wonderful in quite neighborhood, a lot of trees, flowers, singing of birds waking you up in the morning. The host was very pleasant, breakfast amazing, all the stay we were feeling relaxed and enjoying each moment. Things to improve-internet. Also, for finding the house gps is must.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location gorgeous, very peaceful, view over golf course. Pleasant walks close by. Great for visiting Mont St Michel, Honfleur, St Malo etc Breakfast delicious, fresh fruit, ham, cheese, bread etc etc ! Free access to kitchen where we could make tea / coffee when we wished. Lovely terrace where we were able to sit and chat to other guests - even offered wine by our wonderful host Veronique ! Clean towels every day. LOTS of space in the room, huge bathroom with fantastic shower. Finally - but most importantly Veronique the host, is a delightful lady who made us feel so welcome and we chatted to for ages "putting the world to rights" ! We have toured France for years and stayed in numerous places - some very good, but L'Oisette is simply the best ever !
Cons: The only negative for us was that on this occasion we couldn't stay longer - hopefully we will back one day !
10.0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent stay in a peaceful location which our whole family enjoyed ... quite an achievement given the wide age range! The owner/host provided amazing hospitality and the accommodation is extremely comfortable, with a tasty, fresh breakfast every morning. Her advice certainly helped us get to know the local area & the extensive local facilities (eg golf, tennis), as well as exploring further afield in Brittany & Normandy. Highly recommended.
Cons: The only point to bear in mind is that the owner/host lives on site and therefore it is not technically exclusive use but we really appreciated the interaction and did not find the situation intrusive at all ... indeed quite the reverse!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Veronique was an excellent host, very welcoming and a perfect golfing partner. It was a lovely location not only for golf but the surrounding area was very interesting. L'oisette was idyllic and very relaxing. Will most certainly be back.
Cons: Everything was perfect.

We stayed in the family suite which is really big and comfortable, the beds are excellent and we could sleep very well. Roz-Landrieux is a very quiet and peaceful place, close to charming small towns but also perfect location to visit Mont Saint Michel. The kids loved the swiming pool, the animals and the fast wifi connection. The breakfast was extraordinary! fresh fruit, crêpes, cakes and omelettes, everything was delicious. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owners were very friendly and made my family feel very welcome. The kids loved the parrots and the cats. We felt like guests.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The energetic and happy attitude of our hostess was delightful. She was quick to answer questions, share about her life and served up an AMAZING hot breakfast that seemed to go on and on. My kids loved the family room with its fun loft bed, the pool, and the sauna. The little kitchen was sufficient for our little picnic dinners.
Cons: There was a strong animal oder on the property, possibly to be expected on a farm. My parents room had a strong smell of smoking which seemed to subside over our time there. Possibly the previous guests had not kept the "no smoking" rules. The parrots that live in the house are fun but noisy at Breakfast.

Pros: The breakfast was incredible. The welcome and friendliness of the owner was faultless. Very family orientated. Because its a working farm nt all areas are spotlessly clean, but it's worth the little compromise to stay at this wonderful place. The breakfast room and all aspects of the bedroom were spotless.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff were super helpful, location was excellent and the people you meet at the hostel are friendly too.
Cons: I thought that they could have aired the private rooms with some ventilation, and cordoned off the shower area so that water doesn’t splash everywhere.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I want to thank stuff members, who were really helpful and curious. Special thanks for Nanae-san, for finding time to tell me more about Japan.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: While travelling you can stay in all sorts of hostels, but sometimes you come across a pearl, like Edd hostel. I am so glad I stayed here! Not only has it a perfect location in lovely town Dol, it is also closeby beautiful cities and attraction. There are food shuttle services to Mont Saint-Michel. What made my stay the most perfect is the friendly staff. No matter the hour of the day, they are always open to have a nice conversation with you or to give you insider tips. What I loved as well are the showers. It has decent space to undress, while in most hostels I stayed at it had to be in the same cubicle as the water. The beds are really comfortable. Thank you for my pleasant stay!
Cons: Everything was perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The ambiance is so relaxed, it’s clean and for anybody! The staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful. We really felt at home and next time we’re in Bretagne, we’ll definitely come back!
Cons: Nothing to complain, really. There’s no kitchen at the hostel but we didn’t miss that at all
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a modern purpose built hostel and has excellent spacious bedrooms and all the basic facilities you would need. It is across the road from the train station (but no noise) so it is very useful for traveling around the area. Bus stop to Mont St Michel is also close. Cycle routes are great in the area and I cycled there from St Malo. All the staff were very nice and really helpful. Supermarket, laundry and town centre nearby. Highly recommended
Cons: Nothing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location can be a little intimidating if you're not familiar with the region, but in fact Normandy is so well-connected by bus and train that staying in Dol was the perfect way to incidentally broaden my perspective of the region. I picked the hostel for its affordability and proximity to Pontorson, where the Saint Michel half marathon (and purpose of my trip) started from. The staff at Edd are amazing, personable and welcoming. Emily, the owner, seems to have created the perfect space for travelers to feel both at home and inspired to keep exploring. The wifi is great and works even on the front porch if you're lounging to enjoy the sun. It's also located a two-minute walk from the train station which is perfect for going to other areas of Normandy and then having a great home base to return to. On a personal note, Emily also went out of her way to help me find transportation to Pontorson as the particular weekend I was visiting wasn't very conducive to using public transport. Not only did I end up with a ride to the race--I also made three new friends in the car full of runners that I joined to go to the race!
Cons: My breakfast was a little cold but at three euros, it's really affordable and the coffee was good.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: privacy in the dormitory, good organization of beds
Cons: price is high for a hostel near the trainstation

Pros: Very kind owners (they only speak french but with a bit of effort you understand each other), great breakfast, Good bathroom and room.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The house and the room are in perfect condition, very clean and styled well. The furniture and facilities are new and not cheap. View from the room is perfect. You can see a pond with fish right under the window. The breakfast is tasty. You can use the terrace with a table. When it was raining the host organized a dining table inside for us.
Cons: You have to keep in mind that the room is in a family house. The hosts live on the ground floor and rooms are on the 1st. It means that there is no private entrance and you will meet the family most of times when you come in or out. It's not a disadvantage, you just have to know this. However the family is very friendly and helpful. And you have to be ready that they don't speak English at all.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely garden and terrace which the owners didn't mind sharing, lovely modern clean bathroom and toilets, great home made jam to spread on your croissant, would definitely stay again if in the St Malo area

Pros: The owners were very helpful. We fed the location into our Tom-Tom and it took us to the edge of a field and announced that 'we had reached our destination'. 9.5 Excellent
Pros: The surrounding area was quiet and the hotel was easy to find. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and car park were very clean throughout. There was a lot of variety at breakfast which was replenished before it ran out. The pool and pool area was very clean and a lovely space. There is a Supermarket and bowling with a restaurant only a few minutes walk away.
Cons: It is set in an industrial estate, but as we stayed over a weekend it meant the area was quiet.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very quiet and clean. Swimming pool was great although a little too warm.
Cons: In middle of commercial estate.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Pool lovely and warm and open when we needed it. Hotel and grounds spotless.
Cons: Needed a chair outside for my husband to have a pipe (he's disabled)
6.3 Good
Pros: Clean hotel. Comfortable beds. The lady on reception was pleasant and helpful.
Cons: This hotel is situated in what I would describe as a small industrial estate. It is sterile and charmless. No fridge in room and eating in room not permitted. Therefore, not suited to families in my opinion. Why it has Saint Malo attached to its name is anyone’s guess as it is quite a distance from Saint Malo (30 to 40 minutes’ drive).

9.5 Excellent
Pros: We loved the host's attention to detail and helpfulness. The interior of this grand old house is uniquely decorated and furnished, and very homely with many delightful little special touches. We had a transport hiccup and were late arriving; Anne met us with a smile and a welcome drink, and kindly offered us use of two lovely bicycles. She also made delicious scrambled eggs for breakfast, and made sure we had something in our hand, such as water and biscuits, when we left the property each morning.
Cons: The property is some distance from facilities in the town, which is fine if you have transport, although use of bicycles is offered.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The decor is quirky and interesting (don't choose this if you only like Laura Ashley interiors!), the hostess very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was very generous and extras were freely given. The room has a sitting area with T.V. and was spacious, with a comfy bed.
Cons: Rather overpowering air fresheners.

Pros: The Pink Flamingos were wild

9.5 Excellent
Pros: If you’re looking to stay with locals that make you feel just at home and fulfill your every need this is the place to go. We were not only welcomed in a tasteful nice room right next to the sea but even got a free upgrade to a sea view room! Our host provided us with a delicious breakfast as well as some sightseeing tips and chitchat. We really felt welcome during our stay. The house is situated right on the beachfront and the location is perfect for day trips to Mont Saint-Michel, Saint Melo or other surrounding areas. A super market and some restaurants are also right outside the building. All in all a perfect spot if you want to visit Bretagne! If we ever come back to the are we will stay there for sure.
Cons: One minor suggestion for improvement might be to change the mattress. For our taste it was a bit too thin. But that could not make our stay any less perfect.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The owners were truly lovely, and they treated us to an aperitif in their living room before dinner, then suggested an exquisite restaurant where we had one of the best meals we can remember!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was reasonable bearing in mind that it was a continental breakfast. The room was modern and clean with a very good shower.
Cons: There was no sea although it is described as Sur-Mer. No idea one would have to travel to actually see the sea.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was excellent, with the plate of seafood the star of the show. The owners are very professional and the restaurant very popular with locals wanting fine dining at a reasonable price. Breakfast equally good, with fresh croissants and bread from the boulangerie opposite, and a novel boil- your-own egg bath.
Cons: The superior room was a bit small, but did have a view over the bay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was 5 star, in our opinion would rate a michelin star. The staff worked as a team brilliantly. Very nice touch to see were a choice of boiled eggs , unusual in Europe but a nice change, together with all the other things normally found.
Cons: There was not a thing we did not like.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The friendliness & helpfulness of the staff. The excellent facilities for a 2* rated establishment, especially the tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The restaurant. The pristine cleanliness of the whole establishment.
Cons: Coffee machines at breakfast buffet, now standard it seems. However they are very easy to use & versatile with tea & hot chocolate available too.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good beds – medium hard. Clean room. Boiler for water in room (and coffee, tea). We took the menu (seafood based) in the restaurant: Superb treatment of fresh commodities. The ‘cidre’ was our 2. best during our visit (Curious for #1? Go see ‘Ferme Cidricole Hugues Desfrièches’). Watched the tide come in during our dinner – impressing. Breakfast was value for the money. Could repeat the visit if we had the chance
Cons: Room facing the road. Occasional noise from traffic from 6:30.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The restaurant, is the outstanding feature. We had two excellent dinners here at sensible prices. The restaurant has a panoramic view across the foreshore to Mont Michel Bay. For a seaside village, it is remarkably unspoilt.
Cons: The bedroom was fine, but not large. Breakfast was OK, but not the same range as the two other hotels where we stayed on this trip.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Though breakfast closes early, there was no pressure to make us leave Happy staff Enjoyable dinner
Cons: Room smelt a bit if the window was left closed. No latches on window to hold it open Breakfast should finish at 10 instead of 9:30
6.3 Good
Pros: The 24-euro evening menu excellent; the room and bathroom were fine, as was the buffet breakfast.
Cons: The town was featureless, and the sea rather a distant mirage, with acres of intervening mudflats. The view from our attic room could only be seen when standing up. NO LIFT (reflected in the low score for Facilities and Comfort) Wifi only available next to Reception desk, and unreliable at best, which elicited a Gallic shrug from the lady of the house. The man at least did try to help!
7.5 Good
Pros: close to the sea, big room and confortable
6.3 Good
Pros: The restaurant offered excellent food. It was clean although very basic. The views from the restaurant.
Cons: There was a complete lack of atmosphere at this place. We were not able to get into the car park as people using the restaurant used the car park and no priority was given to hotel guests. The bar closed very early as there there is really nothing in the local area this was rather disappointing.
