Guest House Pri Malkiya is located in a small village of Leshten, and offers on-site restaurant, as well as a shared kitchen and a large garden. Rooms at the Pri Malkiya guest house are all provided with satellite TV and contain a private bathroom with a shower. Free WiFi is offered in some of the units. Public parking is possible in front of the property for free.
Pros: The house looks very old but in the same time when you get in it is clean and fresh. The kitchen is well equipped. The BBQ place/spot is awesome. Recommend everyone to try the breakfast-it was very well prepared, handmade, made from home made products.
Pros: The location of the house is excellent-really close to the center of the village with amazing view. Old style house, but really well adapted to modern conditions. Was very clean and the host was really nice and welcoming. The breakfast was all from home made products-banitsa, home made yogurt, blueberry juice and jam-all superb in taste! Next time I go to Leshten undoubtedly I will book the same place.
Pros: Very nice and clean place, friendly atmosphere and host, delicious homemade breakfast!
Pros: Everything is great with Pri Malkiya but undoubtedly the best thing was the host Isuf (the son). He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a fantastic stay. He was really friendly, his English was perfect and he was happy to sit and chat and tell us about the area. The location was perfect, in a quiet mountain village away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, and a perfect base to explore the surrounding area. It is in the centre of the village and easy to find (on the left side down a small lane next to the restaurant in the centre). There was no-one there when we arrived and weren’t certain if we were at the right place as there is no sign on the door but we rang the number and Isuf arrived in less than 5 minutes. The accommodation is perfect - it is a large house on 3 floors with 4 bedrooms, a shared dining area, sitting area and kitchen, and lovely views across the valley from the top floor. Our room was on the small side but it didn’t matter with all the shared space available. The double bed was comfortable with sockets next to the bed. The ensuite shower room was clean and nicely decorated with plenty of hot water for the shower. The kitchen was large and fully equipped with oven, hob, kettle, microwave, deep fryer, coffee machine, and all the utensils, pans and crockery you might need. The whole place is spotlessly clean and wifi is good. There were no other guests staying so we had the whole house to ourselves, it felt just like being at home. Isuf came back the next morning with an exceptionally delicious traditional breakfast - a huge banitsa, jam, yogurt and berry juice - all homemade from local produce. The secluded garden is immaculate and very pretty with lots of flowers and bushes; it would be a lovely place to spend a sunny summer’s day. We loved everything about our stay here and would gladly come back again and stay longer - it is definitely on our list of wonderful places to revisit!
Cons: Wish we had longer than one night here - will be back some time!
Pros: The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They prepared for us a delicious breakfast with home-made products. The house is cosy and has a beautiful garden.
Pros: Excellent breakfast and beautiful garden for relax.
Pros: You really feel like at home. The host and his family are beautiful people and they offer the entire experience of hospitality, natural friendship and make you feel as you wanna turn back to old friends.
Pros: The breakfast was outstanding: home-made food prepared with care. The place is extremely cozy, the host unintrusive and very helpful. The surroundings - tranquil and picturesque. Excellent countryside getaway.
Pros: The frendly atmosfere. The willingness to help. The soft and butifull envirenment. And the food - this is making the difference!

Pros: The staff are very friendly and welcoming! The setting is spectacular and lovely! Try to get there during the daytime - driving at night can be tricky!
Cons: The breakfast could have been a little more elaborate. It was delicious bonitsa and coffee.
Pros: Very friendly staff. Nice and comfortable room, very clean. Food at the restaurant is delicious. The sunset from the courtyard is just splendid.
Cons: would be good to have something to attach the towels in the bathroom.
Pros: Excellent hospitality. Great location and some great food, too.
Pros: We absolutely like it all! The property is on the top of a small hill and has an amazing view to Pirin and Rila mountain. The owner and his family are very nice and helpful. The food is delicious, we had a fish from their family fish farm and a homemade pumpkin pie (tikvenik) and it was all really good! The rooms are clean and warm. We would definitely recommend Kalpacite guest house and for sure will come again! Thank you!
Pros: The hotel has an excellent location and everything is as described in Booking. The food and the comfort of the rooms are great!
Cons: The time to get there but it has nothing to do with the hotel :)
Skenderovata House has a garden and a terrace in Leshten. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, room service and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi. Staff on site can arrange airport transfers. At the guest house rooms come with a private bathroom. A continental breakfast is available each morning at Skenderovata House. Dobrinishte is 50 km from the accommodation.
Pros: The place is charming, comfortable and packed with history. The owners are very helpful and assisting. We had a nice lunch when we arrived, which was convenient, but also tasty. The breakfast unclouded to the room was banica( traditional pastry dish with feta), honey, yogurt, tea and coffee. I could not imagine any better start of the day. Our first afternoon was rainy and we stayed in the house, you can hear the rain taping on the next house stone roof... it was so romantic and calming. One can also stay in the garden or inside around the fair place. We had lively time there and will visit again. If you are after relaxing new experience I can only recommend the house and the village.
Pros: Very calm and relaxed atmosphere. Silent and beautiful place with nice garden and great view. Delicious home made breakfast.
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, home made and brought to the guest house by the super friendly hosts.
Pros: The house's authentic with amazing view and great hosts. Breakfast was great, homemade and delicious. Silence's broken by only the birds's singing.
Pros: Helpful and friendly owners. Delicious breakfast but it was all deep fried bread stuff. amazing quiet location and a beautiful view from the tarrace.
Cons: In the ad is written that the room had a tarrace and a balcony, well there isnt a balcony amdthe tarrace is shared with all the rooms. Plus the room was a bit too small

Pros: The house is amazing, the host Sabri was very welcoming and nice, showed us a great place to have delicious dinner, since the restaurant in the house was still not open for public...There is a very nice place to cook and enjoy dinner outside, whatever you want or bring and make on the grill, but we arrived kind of late in the evening, and were not prepared to cook/grill.In the morning,he offered us coffee, very delicious homemade banitsa and homemade raspberry juice...Overall GREAT experience and next time we will stay for more than one night!!
Pros: We are absolutely super Happy with our choice to stay at Godpodevi house . It was great experience . We are going again next year for sure and we already send friends there and we will continue to spread the word for this place !! The best time of our vacation we had at this place !thank you ,thank you ,thank you!!!
Cons: There was not a single thing to not like there
Pros: Great mountain location, beautiful nature, sustainable construction with local materials. Friendly host and family..
Guest House Fudulski has a garden and a terrace in Dolen. Boasting a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. Rooms come with a balcony with views of the city. At the guest house, all rooms are fitted with a patio with a garden view. The shared bathroom is fitted with a shower, a hairdryer and free toiletries. All guest rooms feature a wardrobe.
Pros: Authentic house with magnificent landscapes around plus the silence reigning there. The only sounds one can hear are birds’ chirping and bees’ buzzing. Unforgettable experience for me.
Cons: Probably only the darkness in the common room (and corridors between rooms) due to the small windows but that’s an old Bulgarian house so it’s quite understandable.
Pros: Cute decor Friendly staff Great facilities in the common areas for groups such a barbecue, fireplace, tables, kitchen, and terrace It was quiet and peaceful, though it's obvious that guests sometimes come to organize parties
Cons: The doors were not well insulated, we could hear everything happening in the hallway No reception area, we didn't know where to check in
Cons: Everything were perfect , wonderful place!
Cons: Only issue was the bathroom.
Pros: very good location, very good food in their restaurant, pleasant facilities
Cons: lack of choice for breakfast - you eat what you are served... rooms were not very clean (dirt on the ground, dust everywhere)... staff is not very well trained... toilet tank not working (had to open it every time after use and press the floater so it can fill up again)...
Pros: Everything about the house was simply well-managed and charming. The road to the village is well-kept. The food was delicious and the host was nice.
Pros: I loved the property! The houses are new but build in a traditional style with great attention to detail, well equipped and have an amazing view! The hosts are really hospitable - will definitely visit again!!!
Pros: The place, nature, view, food, friendly staff.
Cons: Everything was just amazing!
Pros: The whole village is exceptional. The property is not far from the interesting historical houses and the most beautiful parts of Leshten. Clean and well maintained, bedding was comfortable.
Cons: The property is a somewhat tasteless mixture of an old-style architecture and modern amenities (kind of) and poorly chosen plastic imitations of wood (the common areas' floors, for example). The result is a 'style' with a questionable taste. What I missed the most in this new building was the typical feature of the old Leshten houses: the large covered patio, usually the size of a room where you could sit and enjoy the view and have breakfast or dinner around a full-size table (knows as 'cherdak' in Bulgarian). Every old house has one. I understand the desire of the owners to optimize the space by filling it up with rooms which bring revenue instead of the charming but 'useless' from a financial point of view open patio but this deprives the property of an important traditional and very enjoyable feature. The narrow balconies don't really make it up for this as you can only have a smoke there at most (if you smoke...) The immediate area around the property is stuffed with newly built similar oversized guest-houses which gives it a bit of the fake feel of a Las-Vegas type version of the beautiful traditional Bulgarian architecture. The room was too small to even open our suitcases on the floor without blocking the way and having to jump over them. The beds were taking up all the space.
Pros: Great house with a very large patio and the best view in the village (a magnificent one!). Very tasteful & with a personal touch. Much better than the somewhat uniform big new hotels there with a fake authenticity (had the chance to stay in some of them last year...) Highly recommend!
Pros: Heaven on earth if you want a complete rest and relaxation - amazing location, breathtaking view, friendly owner, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, clean and cozy house, huge garden, pet friendly. We simply loved it.
Cons: The house has three double rooms (6 people max). If you happen to be staying with strangers in the other rooms might be a little awkward in terms of privacy.
Pros: Leshten is an amazing village and Dimmi House is a real haven - spectacular views and decorated with love.
Pros: the nature. But that does not compensate the very uncomfortable situation when you need to share the house/ kitchen/ garden/ veranda with a group of noisy strangers
Cons: We booked for a Friday untill Sunday. When we arrived there was nobody to welcome us so we called the landlord. We were told on Friday that we have the house for ourselves. On Saturday evening a family arrived consisting 3 grown ups and 2 small children. They told us they booked 2 weeks before. They were with 5 persons and had the 2 small rooms ( with 4 beds) Anyway, the nice calm relaxing place turned into a very noisy children playground. We packed our bags and left this horrible and unknown change of situation. We were lied at and the house is defenatly not suitable for different visitors. Firs5, when we were alone in the house it was nice, but after the others arrived there is just a lot of frustration and no space. So unless you like to be settled up with complete strangers in a to small house, do not go there.
Pros: Perfect location, amazing view. The house was well equipped with all kinds of utensils. Very cozy and romantic place. We had everything we needed. There is a huge yard with tables and table tennis. The balcony is really breathtaking.
Cons: There was a bit of dust. It needs a bit more cleaning. I couldn’t find a hair dryer, you could leave one if there isn’t any. Otherwise, it was perfect :)
Pros: This place is amazing! We regret that we stayed for only 1 night, next time, we'll definitely stay longer. The area is simply beautiful, with breath-taking views from the terrace.
Pros: We enjoyed the view from the balcony of the house.
Cons: Our visit to Dimmi House was an utter disappointment. On the day of our arrival we were informed that we will not be accommodated in the (large) room we had booked and paid for more than a month ago. The host had simply decided to accommodate other people there instead. We were given a lot smaller room and were not compensated in any way. We had paid fully a week ago in accordance with the property's policy, so there was nothing we can do. On top of that we had to wait more than 40min in front of the property for the people who clean the house to come and let us in, although we had informed the host about the time of our arrival. The host ignored out phone calls several times while we were waiting. The property itself was poorly maintained. There was knee high grass everywhere and some areas around the house were not secured - the house is built on a vertical cliff and one can easily walk right into the abyss. I'm really happy we didn't have pets or small children with us. There were spiders in our room and cat paw prints on our bed sheet. There were no toiletries in the bathroom. This is by far the worse experience with a property we've ever had.
Pros: Everything is beautiful, an amazing place! Great for complete relaxation.
Cons: There is nothing that I did not like, the place is beautiful !
Pros: - The attention to detail in this house is really impressive and charming - The view from the top floor balcony is one of a kind - The bedrooms are clean, authentic, and peaceful - All the appeal of a village life combined with city convenience - fully equipped bathrooms, kitchen, etc.
Cons: - Could not have been better! Thank you!
Pros: Emotionally speaking - you will fall in love with this place: hand-crafted interior details, vintage styling in every corner, heritage combined with individual spirit..we were really charmed by the magnificient view. Rationally summarized: - friendly host & easy communication/accomodation - warm and clean room - great location (next to the local restaurant and gallery) - fully equiped kitchen - great view from balcony - welcome drink We will come back for sure! Thanks, Anriette!

Cons: Room 1104 was a bit dark and it was cold as no sunshine ever reached this part of the hotel. A mosquito ner on the bathroom window would be nice because all the time there were motts drawn to the light. In the morning we could smell the breakfast cooking.

Cons: The signs pointing the location are not properly situated. You could easily be off on the wrong track, so do not trust the GPS signal.

Pros: The pool was great and had many pool toys. Great view. Restaurant was good. There is a nice kids room with some fitness equipment. Nice yard with comfy grass. Lots of places to sit with your family. Staff were very hospitable and tried their best to help.
Cons: The water in the bathrooms were lukewarm. The shower head was broken and we couldn't wash properly. The rooms are old and need renuvation. The TV did not receive any channel. Shared kitchen needs some more pots and pans, and the sink needs repair. Owner and staff do not speak English.
Pros: Swimming pool. Lovely garden (nice for kids as well). Nice and very helpful staff. Renovated rooms. Totally clean. Restaurant and bar attached open late (try the Mich mach!).

Pros: An absolute gem! Mira was the most welcoming host. The place is tastefully decorated with lots of art pieces and paintings. It did feel like home to us and we loved the village and the mountains nearby. I recommend Dolen and the Gates to anyone looking for something off the beating track.
Pros: Village some km away from the main street. Old rural house which was renovated in a gentle way, with a community kitchen, a nice bar and a garden. Also, an old lady's restaurant 100 m away.
Pros: Wonderful rooms in a wonderful property in a wonderful village reserve with wonderful hosts :-)

Barbecue facilities can be used in the garden, which also features a children’s playground. Many traditional-style Bulgarian houses can be viewed in the village. A swimming pool with natural mineral water can be visited just outside the village, approximately 7 km away. Shuttle services are available upon request.
Pros: Excellent view, privacy and overall experience!
Cons: The personnel on the phone was rude and unhelpful. We were not sure if someone will be waiting for us for a late check in as we tried to request 3 times over the phone. On my third attempt they even hanged up on me because they were not willing to help at all. I needed to escalate to booking.com to organise the matter. As a result, Nikola (the manager) was the person who welcomed us at the spot, waiting for us in the late hours. He was really professional and hospitable, and I’d like to that him for that. The staff reporting to him, however, has absolutely no understanding whatsoever from customer service - rude and unprofessional. We visited the restaurant opposite the church for drinks the second night. We were treated extremely badly which you would not expect to get in a place where they serve a shot of rakia priced three times higher than normal. Apart from the above, the place where we stayed was magical - the villa, the nature, Leshten. I highly recommend visiting!
Pros: The balcony
Pros: Friendly staff, good location, great scenery
Cons: The facility was not aware of our booking. Not sure which side the issue is
Pros: The room was nice.
Cons: They do not have a reception. We did not know where to go in order to get the keys, etc so we called the number we had from booking.com. We were directed to a local restaurant ... the guy there was very busy working as a waiter and said he does not have time to deal with us (a few times)! That is me, my wife and two kids. They also claimed I have not payed - I did that at the time of the reservation by paypal. After two hours of real struggle we were finally in our room. I spent at least one hour more extracting proofs that I have paid ... We would never deal with these people again.
Pros: The atmosphere is great - you can feel the real spirit of Bulgaria. People are friendly and supportive. And the rooms are clean and tidy.
Cons: There were some issues with the water - we didn't have at all but I believe it was an accident; also, the room was pretty cold, but I have to say it wasn't cold season and the cold front was a surprise.
