Pros: Friendly and efficient staff and a car that worked! What more could you want?

Cons: We booked a special car but when we arrived a compat car was assigned, we tried to dxplain but the employee didn't try to help at all. The worse thing was when we got to the parking lot, there was no compact car available. Later they had to gave us a med size car. Unfortunately when we drove to the check out point, the lady couldn't let us out as we should have a compact car. What a service!

Pros: Professional roadside assistance company. Cheap rates.
Cons: Remote rental location. There was a shuttle, but an extra step if you have a lot of bags. Unprofessional customer service at the counter. Zero help on the actual car lot. Extra charge to drop off if you are not staying near the airport.

Extremely expensive to add days
Pros: The car was ok
Cons: I had sick family and didn't know how long I was going to need to keep the car. I initially increased it by 2 days which was another $80+. There was an emergency so I had to extend it by another day and it was $150+.

Service and Everything else
Pros: Horrible line and service. Car window was down when I got in and smelled like smoke. The car was a very long walk away and overall plan to NEVER rent from Dollar again. The rep who checked me in was not helpful and said I needed the name of my insurance. I have never needed that before and she just didn't seem very concerned about my experience.

Pros: Car was nice. Return went smoothly. Attendant pointed out some scrapes on the vinyl bumper covering when I was exiting. It was good that I filled out a damage report or else I would have been charged.

Cons: They werent open when we landed so i had to cancel the reservation. Booked with Avis who was open instead.

Pros: I booked a one way rental but did not receive any notice that one way bookings could not be paid by debit card.
Cons: Lack of communication between Dollar to Kayak, Kayak to the customer. The customer should not be surprised upon arrival of new policies that would prevent them from renting a car.

pick up process was pathetic!
Pros: value for money
Cons: Pick up at the BWI airport was bad. The attendant was not available for timely help and over pick-up process.

Incredibly friendly staff
Pros: The staff at both the pickup and dropoff were very friendly, and when our train got switched and we had to change our dropoff location they were very accommodating.
Cons: The only issue we had was that their computer went down on the dropoff day and it backed things up a bit, but that's not really their fault.

Cons: Showed up for my 7am reservation at 6:45. Nobody was there. Find out they don't open until 7. 7 comes and goes. Wondering if it's a holiday I forgot. Agent finally comes rolling through at around 10 after 7. I guess their company tardiness policy is "screw it just show up whenever"

Pros: Fuel economy
Cons: Customer service rep at check-in desk provided little information about the process of getting the car in the lot, such as: go to the section marked "compact", keys will already be in the car, the attendant in the booth at the exit will ask you for your license and paperwork, do you need a map, etc. She did tell me to go to the lot to the Compact area, but that was t. So, I selected a car in the lot, assuming that what I was doing was correct, I drove to the booth at the exit, and the attendant said I had to turn around and get another car--the one I was in needed an oil change. I will never use Dollar Rent a Car again. Ever. What happened to basic customer service? Nothing fancy--just basic customer service.

Pros: The car was clean and had great gas mileage. It worked fine. Once I was helped in up the car, the service was very good.
Cons: It took 30 min. in line to pick up the car with only 2 people in front of me. The car was ok. No Automatic headlights, which I would expect. The bluetooth didn't work properly in the car. Being in a state that you have to have bluetooth, this should be part of all cars.

Car in poor decision
Pros: The check in process was pleasant and the drop off was as well.
Cons: The car was not the cleanest. There were many dents, and scratches around the car. The quality of the vehicle was horrible, it made a thumping noise while driving.

Great service, great car
Pros: Staff are very friendly. Got a slightly larger car than I originally ordered since it was a very busy weekend and they were low on stock. The car itself was spotless and drove great.

Rental center too far from airport
Cons: Airport shuttle service was slow and crowded. Way too far from the airport. This isn't just a Dollar thing. All the rental companies are there. Poor planning by BWI.

Pros: Speed at which they conducted business.
Cons: I did not like the option of cars. I paid for the option of what cars were available. They only gave me an option of Economy size. Their was a garage full of cars and then I was charged $15 extra to get a full sized vehicle.

Cons: Long line for car pick up. Only 1 car to choose from in economy class.

the good and the bad
Pros: That I got an upgrade to a mid-sized car when there were no economy or compact cars available for the economy price
Cons: That the economy car I had reserved wasn't there and I had to walk all around the lot finally going back to the check out counter.

It didn't happen
Pros: I got there and they said they didn't accept my card. 5!3 very same card I've used to rent from Hertz. I do get that every rental car place is different, but I really think the entire system in which cars are rented needs an update.
Cons: Not knowing how much money they were going to hold before hand. Not knowing what card types they do and do not accept.

Cons: Threatened that compact car would be 2 door. It was not. I didn't want to pay anymore $$ on this rental, so I didn't upgrade, but I felt the pressure. Just tell people it's a 4 door. I was traveling with baby so 4 doors very important.

Pros: We had issues with pick up. The counter staff were incredibly slow. Also, there were no staff to assist us when we went to pick up the car. We has to wait about 5 min before someone showed up. Other than that the rental was AOK. The car was clean, the rates were very good.

Bait and Switch
Cons: On Kayak it said we would be getting a FULL size car but when we arrived they said we were getting a COMPACT. We didn't size car and insurance. Unfortunately I had not printed the page with the agreement before I left home so I had no reference. The whole situation felt like we were at a used car sale. Not good. We won't be back.

Pros: Convenience. No hassle. Everything was quick and easy AND I got to pick my own car out of the "Compact" area! :)
Cons: Car smelled like smoke. As soon as I drove away, the light went on for low air pressure in one of the tires.

Great staff, good car, weak pick up/drop off proce
Pros: Really great staff to interact with; friendly and helpful. Car was a full size vehicle, very clean and in good operating condition.
Cons: Service was very slow in pick up; a long line with only one agent for too long a time; eventually a second agent appeared. On dropping off, it was not easy to determine the exact drop off location. It was NOT at the airport and being unfamiliar with the area, we drove around and around trying to find it.

Absolutely the worst customer service; disorganize
Pros: That there was actually a car available
Cons: Service representative was rude. I did not receive the type of car I reserved but discontinued any resolution on that end as the customer representative was combative. No direction or available staff on the rental lot.

Pros: Cute car, easy to drive.
Cons: When we dropped off the car, no one was at the site but a girl that told us to just leave the keys in the car and they'll email us a statement. Everything went as she said but I felt uneasy leaving a car, parked with the keys in it, without any supervision.

Hidden Fees or False Advertising?
Pros: I liked the advertised price of $25 per day for a compact car, but that was far from accurate. Maybe I neglected to read all the fine print, but I don't think it was provided anywhere near the advertised price on Kayak.
Cons: After I extended my 3 day rental by two days, Dollar said they had to charge me the weekly rate which was significantly higher than the daily rate for some unknown reason. On top of that, Dollar added a mysterious list of unknown taxes and fees to the final bill. In the end, I payed almost $50 per day for a car advertised as $25 per day. I definitely feel like I got taken on this one...but never again Dollar!

Computers were Down
Pros: The people were pleasant enough.
Cons: When I arrived at BWI the systems were down. We waiting for 30 minutes for them to come back online, with no luck. You'd think they coudl just check out the cars and do the papaerwork manually, but they did not. I ended up going to budget.
