Pros: Price sounded good
Cons: They had no car available when I showed up to pick up my vehicle. They only had a pick-up, not a full sized car that I had reserved. Their excuse was that other people had arrived before me and all their cars were now gone. When I asked why my reservation was not held in reserve the representative hung up on me...I had to scramble to find a different company to rent a car at 10 at night at the airport to get me, my husband, daughter, and grandchild on with our vacation. No more Dollar Rentals for me and my family.

Bait and switch
Pros: There was nothing good about this experience.
Cons: At GSP, Dollar is off airport with no clear way to get there. After having to inquire at airport Information, I had to call them and then wait for them to pick me up. And then I rented a compact car, and when I got to the counter, all they had was a Ford F150 and a minivan!! I cancelled the reservation and went to Budget.

Pros: Check out was smooth and efficient (at 5:00 AM)
Cons: Checking in was extremely slow. The staff seemed poorly trained and took forever to process a customer. The lines were not clearly marked, and some customers inadvertently cut in line before being redirected by customers, not by staff. I ordered a full-sized car, but was told only a pick-up truck or a Jeep was available. I opted for the Jeep, but when the attendant brought me to it, it was filthy. It had never been cleaned from the previous driver. I was told I could bring it back dirty--as if getting a dirty car was okay. I started to drive the care off of the lot, only to learn the tank was empty. The attendant wanted me to fill it myself, but I was already running very late because of the slow service. It was another 15 minutes before he came back with a full tank. It was as if I was the first person ever to rent from Dollar.
