Pros: Gas mileage
Cons: Near-Freezing Temperatues, but defroster fogged up windshield vs. Clearing it, making it very dangerous to drive. Had to open windows and shiver in order to keep it clearer long. On day 2, with near freezing temps again, same thing, then discovered it only cleared the windshield if I put climate co rols on defroster, set on AC, COLDEST SETTING, and fan on high. Rip off. If this is what usinh kyak means, getting what dollar rep called a "wild card", I'me done with you.

Good deal for the price and gas mileage was excell
Pros: Staff at Dollar were very kind and polite. The car was ready when I arrived and performed well for the duration of the time.
Cons: The car seats looked stained, the passenger side of the car had been somewhat damaged and scratched up and the trunk area was scratched up...guess a previous renter was not very careful. Things like this happen:(

Ordered van for 7; got SUV for 5
Cons: We reserved a van for 7 people- for 4 adults and 2 children in car seats and luggage for all. Despite reserving it and getting confirmation 4 hours prior to pick up, we were given the keys to the biggest vehicle available -a SUV for 5 people. When we went out to the car and discovered the inadequacy, rental office had immediately closed and was locked. The receiving office refused any adjustment in price so we ended up paying for a larger vehicle and also having a 68- year old man crammed into the trunk for 2 hour ride.

Terrible location + no signs
Pros: The price was good and the car was fine. Employees all very courteous.
Cons: Service a bit slow and pickup/dropoff location is horrendous-- no signs and not in same location as major rental companies.

Pros: I got the car, it worked.
Cons: My kayak deal was for $108. Dollar rental charged me $200 for the rental. I'll never book a car through kayak again

Pros: Customer service was fine. Car was fine.
Cons: Too many additional fees. The car ended up costing much more than other rental companies. I will be going elsewhere in the future.

Cons: The add on insurance cost doubled the estimated price. My decision to buy but it doesn't seem right.

Car wasn't what I expected!
Pros: There was no knowlege of the class of vehiche I was renting until I got to the counter. It cost me $25.00 more per day to get a Ford Focus!! Never again.

Pros: Check in was really easy and efficient.
Cons: I asked for a fast pass for tools. There was one in glove compartment that wouldn't attach to windshield so it was useless.

Pros: Most of all the price - renting a car for 10 days at most of the other rentals was as much as $650 . Dollar was less than half the price. The car was clean, in good repair & got me where I needed to go with no worries. Thanks!

Cons: they said they did not have a reservation for me then charged me walk in rate 100.00 dollars more then gave me a small car which had been smoked in. never use dollar again

Employees are rude
Pros: The car handled well and was comfortable despite its small size.
Cons: The employees were rude. The woman checking in cars on my return day was down right foul. Could not muster even the slightest shred of politeness. The shuttle driver on my return was the only one who possessed any customer service skills whatsoever. The car also smelled like food when I picked it up, which was disgusting. It's a good thing their rates are cheap.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
Cons: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE...CHOOSE ANY PLACE BUT HERE!!!!!!!!! Dropped off by shuttle from Hartford Bradley airport. 12 people in line in front of me, was told most have been waiting over an hour. Cars were available, two employees working the counter but utter and complete incompetency caused me to wait on line for over 85 minutes for a car. Just this year I have rented cars 8 other times so I think I know how these things should go. There were cars available the delay was 100% from having just a horrible grossly incompetent staff. When a third person tried to help one of the two women working the counter yelled at him that "they had a system'. That same woman, instead of apologizing to customers about the wait was complaining to them about how hard she had it!!!! When another employee finally stepped in to help he did not assist the next person in line angering the poor guy who was next. Another guy asked for a full sized car, he went out to pick up the car they assigned to him and it was a tiny Kia. He came back in and they made him wait an additional 20 minutes to redo his paperwork for a correct sized car. When I finally did get my car, I was told they were 'pre inspected' so they would not give me a form to write down any scratches and dings on the car at the time of rental. Nor did anyone even offer to do a walk around with the car... they just handed me the key and told me what spot it was in. The car was covered in marks so I wrote them down on the back of my contract and had to interrupt a woman to sign the paper. In case you think I am making any of this up or exaggerating, I have photos of the line and the clock on wall the time I got there and the time I left. No 'deal' is worth this horrible service.
