An average guesthouse among many in the town.
For the money, I would stay in one of the other many guesthouses (nha nghi) in the town. The bed was one of the hardest we've slept on in all of our 5 months in Asia. The floors hadn't been mopped in a while and were dusty. And the bed sheets had cat footprints on them, and when we unfolded one of the blankets, there was dried cat faeces stuck to it. The owner seems nice enough and not negligent or trying to pull one over on you, but just an indication that there probably isn't much tourist traffic through this guesthouse.
The view was great. looking out onto the bustling street in the daytime and watching the flotilla of boats being paddled by on the way to the pagoda was a delight. The A/C worked well and bathroom facilities were cleanest I've encountered in mid-value hotels in Vietnam. The staff were friendly and the owner's son speaks adequate English so communication was easy.
Would've been nice to have had proper bath towels instead of hand towels to use after a shower.
