Warm welcoming hotel beautifully decorated with antiques. Good situation for day visits to Florence, Chianti, and less than three hours from Rome. Great restaurant with delicious food. very helpful staff.
very nice place is better than the photos.hotels stuff are very professional and friendly at the same time.nice location large and beautiful garden and also nice pool the main courses of the restaurant could be better.only this.
very nice hotel, beautiful landscape, and over all the super-friendly and helpful staff, warm welcome and a very pleasant stay. the terrace restaurant is just as great as the rest of the hotel and staff - delicious, friendly.....if there is a place to recommand - this is it, no doubt. it was a wonderful and quiet stay, definitely to be repeated.(and for outlet hunters: the mall is close, prada not far either..... - thank you villa rigacci, we will hopefully be back soon! our time at villa rigacci was too short........this was my second stay, but definitely not my last. one thing: the car-navi might not know the address, so make sure to head for "reggello", and then towards a little village called "vaggio" - you will find signs and very helpful people for further directions then if necessary.
it is a very good hotel with a very good combination between hospitality interesting and comfortable rooms and good food! The personal is very friendly and the surrounding are nice!
It is not just a hotel. It likes a home. The owner is very kind. Feel very good. The historical building is well maintained. Room is good in size and clean. I like the antique furnitures very much. The dog is cute.
staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful...food was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed in the hotel
We loved the setting in the Tuscan hills, the wonderful staff, the charm of the old villa. The pool was also nice and the villa was located in driving distance to many of the cities we wanted to visit. (Siena, Lucca, Chianti) The beds were two twins pushed together and lumpy. Windows needed screens to prevent bugs from entering room and pool chairs were dirty.
Everything about the Villa Rigacci was wonderful - the owners and staff went out of their way to make the Villa a comfortable and welcoming place. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful.
The villa was perfectly situated for the factory shops, the room rate and location were what first attracted me....it has a lovely long lane entrance, beautifully Italian, and looks very peaceful and inviting....we had an evening meal, and the food was better than excellent, especially the ravioli, delicious....the male receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly and very professional..... Great room, very traditional, great view and no noise, but the bed was hard.
The staff was great! The facilities were nice and this hotel is a great deal for the price. The restaurant was delicious also. You need a car though to get there.
What we were expecting: nice and clean
Absolutely nothing. It was a horrible hotel and I would encourage everyone to avoid it. It was dirty. TV and air did not work. Tile in bathroom was cracked. The room smelled of urine. If it had not been so late I would have left. I almost left and slept in car. If I had to do over again. I would sleep in car before staying there. The switch us to another rm, w/ argument but not much better
good location staff, electricion was bad
Leaving it in the morning! The hotel is in what I would describe as an industrial area used by truckers for access to the motorway. It was dirty and run down, however, to be fair the room appeared to be slightly cleaner than the rest of the hotel. There is no way this hotel should be allowed to market itself as a 4 star hotel. I would give it no more than 1 star. It badly needs an overhaul.
Basic hotel, closed to the expressway, quality/price ok
very close to "autostrada" / Firenze is very close, if you go by car not very clean, but ok ...
It was the best solution to spend 1 night between 2 shopping days.
I did not like it at all. No restaurang open, no services, very poor breakfast etc, etc.
free parking. The hotel room was very cold, the bed very uncomfortable and the staff very unpleasant. It's definitely not worth 2 stars.
The place and the restaurant The price of the restaurant
The hotel is in a great location- close enough to Florence and the shoppings malls. The views and the sunset over the hills are fantastic . The restaurant was very good and the staff were brilliant.
Even though the room was not luxurious, we enjoyed having the space for 4 adult women. The quiteness was wonderful but we were not far from the hustle-bustle of a-1, Firenze, Pizza, etc. Very convenient location. The dining room was wonderful in comfort and food preparation. The only thing that I disliked was that our dished were not washed by cleaners. We had to wash our own dishes.
Great location and well away from the tourist in Florence....
Lovely rural location some way from Fiesole, car essential. Bedroom was in block away from hotel, quiet and spacious. Just what we needed when going to family wedding nearby. Good breakfasts. Shelves needed in bathroom!
The staff were very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. We had a very relaxing time in a very beautiful setting. No
Overall, this is a very good (family) hotel: big swimming pool, a very nice and rich breakfast buffet, comfortable (airco), nice&friendly staff, nice mountain view, etc... . The food in the restaurant is also very good: freshly prepared pasta! Free internet would make this perfect hotel complete.
The position of the hotel was quite fantastic, over looking the Tuscan hills. The owners were very helpfull and accommodating and the food in the restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced. If travelling by public transport from Florence it is worth contacting the hotel directly as it is in fact no where near Molin del Piano! There are buses, but it requires a little planning! well worth the effort though...
The staff were very accomodating, spoke good English to back up our poor Italian and were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with excellent views. The restaurant is very good value and the quality of the food was superb. Only grumble was that the sofa bed was unconmfortable and needed a new/thicker mattress...
The hotel is in a lovely hillside location. It is an elegant building with individual styled rooms. A place to relax in. The directions to the hotel are far from clear and it is not anywhere near the village which is the postal address
We accidently came across this enchanting place 5 years ago and we have always dreamed of coming back and at last we have. It was just as perfect as I remembered. Dinner was a delight. We sat on the terrace every night eating beautifully prepared food and drinking good wines overlooking a peaceful valley experience. There are frequent buses from Fiesole (6km from the hotel) to Florence.
We loved staying in this village. It had plenty of restaurants and open cafe's. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and could not have been more helpful.
the view was very good. the staff in general were good. the original accomodation was very poor for self catering. ie no plates glasses cups forks knifes etc. the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and you could hear the neighbours using their toilets. there were several "trip hazards in the grounds, especially near the pool, which the old saying " photographs never lie" can be proved incorrect here. Even when we were moved into the main building, at no extra cost for which we were grateful, no cups tea-coffee making facilties existed.
Beautiful location. Warm welcome. Flexible arrangements.
The place, arcitecture and swimingpool There were no windows in our room
Excellent food. Great location if you want to get away from everything. Peaceful and relaxing. Need a car to get around as taxis are expensive and no public transport.
Very beautiful setting, very relaxing. Good food.
short train ride from Florence, close to outlet malls, placed in farm, great pool with lovely views of hills, very helpful staff and facilities were excellent.
the staff is gorgeous everithing was perfect .simona is wonderfull aldo we got there very laty 2 am in the morning she waited for as to make check in . one word perfect place with very nice people.
well connected to highway but in the middle of nature - very good location if you want to go shopping at the outlets and not far from Florence No heating control in the room
The wineyard, staff, the room, the surrondings, the food, the wine.....
Nice family hotel fealing. Nice dinner served by lady of the house. The room was very romantic, only the shower had strange arrangement letting all the water on the bathroom floor. The pool area wasn't too nice.
The stuff is very helpful, great restaurant con cucina tipica italiana.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice location.
Our goal was to visit the shopping malls, the hotel is nearby roadway and shopping Malls. Personel was kindly, my special thanks goes to Antonio, he was really friendly and helpful. Next to the hotel on the corner you find a good pizzeria. Hotel restaurant in weekend not open.
Reasonable, nearby major shopping outlets, free parking and pets allowed. Spacious room. Breakfast could be better with a better spread. Cheese and eggs on request.
The only thing was that it is very close to the main atraction, THE MALL. Erything looks like eighties (in the bad way): the rooms were never renovated, the heating wasn't working properly, the shower wasn't working (almost) at all, etc
