Pros: beautiful views, staff was exceptionally friendly
Cons: only wish we could have seen more wild animals.
Pros: The location is spectacular. Unspoilt paradise. Amazing walks in private grounds through forests and crystal-clear streams with its own waterfall and rock pools. The architecture and decor is perfect, the views and the privacy of the rooms, each with its own private terrace, sensational.
Cons: If in winter choose a room with fire heating. It is impossibly wet for hot air heating. The plastic swimming-pool, on a fabulous wooden lookout across the jungle, is definitely a bit of a letdown.
Pros: Hector was wonderful! He was the only person onsite that we were in contact with. Even though the language was challenging for me in Spanish only, he had tremendous patience and kindness. The rooms felt like being in a tree house and my mom and sister also loved it!
Cons: The twin beds were very uncomfortable and they need better pillows. The road was very hard to navigate and should mention that a 4x4 should be needed, which I did not have! The pool was filled with tree pollen and I understand that would be hard to keep up but it did not look like it had been cleaned in awhile, so we did no swim in it.
Pros: the lodge is beautifully designed and crafted. it is exceptionally well laid out for views, sunshine, shade, and positioned on a gorgeous piece of land (55H if we got it right) next to the Park. stunning. Hector and Jose were awesome--gracious and so helpful.
Cons: pls stop using raid in the cabins--it is very challenging for someone with scent sensitivities. this is a jungle lodge--it is going to be humid and have bugs. from what we saw on the forest trails and other places at the lodge, the bugs were not a problem. we can live with a few mosquitoes as long as the bed nets are good (and they are) we are fine. also, as beautiful as the lodge is, it really does need a good thorough cleaning. nothing that spoiled our visit in anyway, but would certainly enhance the visit
