Pros: Clean room, well equipped. Quiet environment Lovely people!!! Fantastic breakfast We will come back :-)
Cons: You need to use your car if you want to have diner.
Pros: Very welcoming, lovely spacious family room and fabulous breakfast
Pros: Everything. Bedroom, bed, breakfast and position in lovely village close to the motorway and the town of Troyes. Charming hosts.
Pros: Everything! Perfect!
Pros: This is our 3rd one night stay at Ome Sweet Home. We love stopping over on our way back to England from the South of France. The service is outstanding. Yves and Chantal are passionate about their business & it really shows. The breakfast was the best we’ve had with most things home made. We asked last minute if we can have dinner there and they managed to accommodate our request so we cancelled a restaurant booking we had in Troyes. We had the best evening starting with a selection of homemade canapés and drinks for our Aperitif by the pool & a 3 course dinner that was so delicious. The atmosphere was so friendly and we loved talking to the hosts and the other guests for hours. Thank you Yves & Chantal we will be back to spend a few days next summer and explore the area properly.
Pros: The hosts were kind, friendly and hospitable. Breakfast was lovely Pool great Room spacious and super clean Close to motorway.
Cons: Nothing. It was a lovely stay
Pros: Our hosts went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was perfect. Breakfast was great, amazing coffee... See the stars from the pool area at night. Beatufully decorated inside and out.
Pros: Very accessible room for my husband who uses a wheelchair. Amazing breakfast! And location perfect for travelling from UK to the south.
Pros: The room was spacious, clean, modern and well-equipped and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Dinner was had together with the hosts and other guests. The 3-course meal was expertly prepared by a professional chef and was delicious, so too were the wines that were served. Breakfast was outstanding, comprising fresh fruits and juice, breads, cheeses, preserves and coffee. The facility is not far off the autoroute and is well worth the visit. The hosts, Yves and Chantel, could not have been nicer. A truly very pleasant experience.

Pros: Excellent accommodation in a quiet village easy drive from Troyes which was an interesting and historical place to visit. Good breakfast and attentive hosts.
Pros: We liked everything about the property. We were well looked after by Suzanne and Daniel. They even found space for our boat.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like
Pros: Fantastic house, room was lovely as was the bathroom with a choice of double shower or roll topped bath. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The old centre of Troyes was only 10 minutes drive away with a good choice of resteraunts.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: The owners are very friendly. Everything is extremely clean. There is a free standing bath, so that is special, and a shower size xxl. The bathroom is almost as big as the room, and there is a separate toilet. I expected a cat or dog, but no pets life here. For some people with allergies important to know. Free parking in the courtyard.
Cons: There is a desk, which is a luxury. But only one socket. The owners said they'll arrange for more outlets there.
Pros: Breakfast Excellent. Location Quiet, Hosts very friendly. Would recommend to anyone. There is only one bedroom that we used, but we had the entire first floor to ourselves. The bathromm is huge with a double shower, double sinks and a slipper bath and seperate loo. No bidet!
Pros: The hostess was extremely pleasant and helpful. The bedroom bathroom and toilet were immaculate and beautifully decorated. It was a comfortable temperature throughout. The bed was very comfortable, the WiFi was fast and easy to access. Breakfast was extremely nice with a good variety of things to choose from. Homemade bread and jams as well as pancakes. It was a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend it.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like. It was all very good.
Pros: We received a very warm welcome. The entire upper floor was ours with very good bathroom and bedroom. Breakfast was homemade very good and enough.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
Pros: Very Warm welcome nice family atmosphere very interesting art work throughout the property. Attractive bedroom and en suite facilities. An excellent breakfast and good guidance as to where to eat in the evening. Most enjoyable experience.
Pros: Wonderful bed, great large bathroom Art all over the house. Very appealing to the eye. Host and hostess are wonderful people and try to make you comfortable.
Cons: Stairs. Ground floor would have been better, but I do not believe that they had a room there, so I will not mark them down for that. The room was on 1st floor, and was very appealing.
Located in the centre of Laubressel, La Coraline is 15 km from Troyes and 7 km from the A26 motorway. It offers free Wi-Fi access, a terrace with a children’s playground and a shared living room with a fireplace. Rooms at La Coraline are individually decorated and feature a wardrobe and a private bathroom with a shower. Breakfast can be enjoyed every morning at the property and evening meals can be served on request. This property is an 18-minute drive from Forêt d’Orient Golf Course and 15 km from Auzon-Temple Lake. Free private parking is available on site.
Pros: We stopped here on our way up from Malaucene on our way to Calais. Laubressel is extremely quiet and small. The owner is French speaking and unfortunately our French isn't adequate (slightly embarrassed) but, we did seem to muddle through and were directed to Troyes for something to eat (about 15 mins away) before getting some sleep. Breakfast was eaten with other guests around a large table, fresh coffee and croissants were served for us but, there were other options too. In the morning we went in the opposite direction (I have forgotten the name of the town) to a lovely lake (the owner did give us a map to help us get around) where we spent a few hours before heading towards Calais. The family room was adequate for what we needed a double bed for the adults and single beds separately which works if like us you have teenagers. There is a kettle and tea and coffee in the room, and it was certainly value for money. Of course their was WIFI too. We had a warm welcome on arrival and I would certainly recommend this.
Pros: Great breakfast, friendly owner.
Cons: Cash only is a bit of a faff.
Pros: Very picturesque village. Lovely house and family very friendly.excellent meal.wine and breakfast Very good.
Pros: I would like to say that we where felt very welcome form the off , The room was clean and had a bathroom with a shower which was lovely to use after a long day on the road. Car park was spacious and very safe.
Pros: The owner was very welcoming and the room was very comfortable. The house is beautiful
Pros: Beautiful house, very peaceful, great hosts
Pros: The owner is lovely and made us very welcome. The house is beautiful and is located in a very attractive and quiet residential area. The room was very comfortable, great shower and delicious breakfast. You are surrounded by lovely countryside but a supermarket, petrol station and major road network are all within easy reach. The tranquility of the surrounding area made it great to sit out at night and relax. Well worth a visit.
Pros: The charming hostess Catherine and her husband who made us very welcome. We had a lovely dinner with other guests and spent a very pleasant evening. We would definitely stay there again
Cons: I have some minor mobility issues and there are steps throughout the property but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment of our stay.
Pros: Approx 15 minutes drive from Troyes which is a beautiful city. Property is located in a lovely village. It was immaculately clean, our host was friendly and provided a great breakfast.
Pros: Great location closed by the motorway but not too closed. Really pleased being in the countryside, in a real quiet area. Owner was ready to delivery the key at the minute we arrived. Owner was charming and make the stay pleasant.
Pros: Breakfast was perfect!
Pros: We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the garden. Veronique is a lovely host and provided helpful information.
Pros: Beautiful house beautifully decorated. We had a lovely room anthe breakfast was very varied with lots of home made produce. Highly recommended
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like.
Pros: Great reception from the hostess and a beautiful room, especially the bathroom is top notch. Good to have access to the kitchen for preparing an own meal if needed and making coffee or tea. The breakfast is excellent with home made bread and jam, and also delicious fromage!
Cons: The wifi didn't work so well in our room.
Pros: Good location
Cons: No milk in bedroom with coffe making facilities coming to think of it no milk in room for our morning tea
Pros: Beautiful accommodation, lovely hostess, amazing breakfast.
Pros: Very comfortable, good decor clean . Breakfast was excellent.
When you stay at Cosy Wood House in Laubressel, you'll be steps from Forêt d'Orient Natural Regional Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The place was very clean
Cons: No fan or aircon in the room and we couldn't have the doors open because there were no fly nets and other people staying there had a dog which kept trying to come in the room. 3 other people arrived last night and their kids were running up and down the decking outside our room at 5.30am, there is no privacy from other people staying here
Pros: This was the second time staying at this hotel. I used this hotel as a stop off point while traveling to the south of France from the UK. I got to check out the local area on my second visit and was very impressed and would return to see more of the area. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and breakfast was great (extra cost but worth it).
Pros: There is a very nice living room with the kitchen that all guests could use, also there is a good size patio with tables and chairs to relax. Room was also nicely decorated.
Cons: Bathroom did not have a door, so it made it very awkward to use toilette or to shower as the other person who was in the bed could see/hear everything in the bathroom. This was very odd! Never been anywhere where bathroom did not have a door. Also, there is an extra charge of 20 euros for checking in after 19:00 (late checking in fee) which we only found out after we made a booking and paid for accommodation. We arrived at 20:30, and although we paid for the accommodation at the time of the booking, we still had to pay 20 euros for late check in which makes overnight stay at this place very expensive.
Pros: Beautiful and extremely comfortable stay, brilliantly located off the motorway and half way stop to or from the Alps. Amazing breakfast and fantastic sincere hosts. Will return next year for sure.
Cons: The only think I can think of is a bike store may be but not essential as plenty of room in the house.
Pros: Great facilities in shared kitchen Comfortable room Everything seemed new. The room had a fully equipped kitchen but nothing was working so had to use shared facilities which wasn't a problem just strange.
Pros: A charming wooden built gîte en route from Calais to the South. Not far form Troyes and the A26 / A5. A very quiet village. Very welcoming hosts and a splendid breakfast spread for the family. Restaurants are pithing 1015 minutes drive away.
Pros: The accommodation, once found, was clean modern and more in line with Gite than bed and breakfast accommodation. The facilities were new and an effort had been made to set up a good business.
Cons: Bearing in mind that the accommodation had been booked and paid for, nearly 7 months ago the welcome was sadly lacking. It was as if our arrival (we were 10 minutes late) had been forgotten. The accommodation he's not as described, and the picture shown on the website is completely misleading. It was as if you were going to a prestigious house and then directed to somewhere else it was not nearly as attractive. The breakfast as an extra what's offered at 10 euros per person extra it was not value for money the whole experience left us feeling a little hungry, disappointed and quite cold and almost taken advantage of. It is only the quality of the accommodation which was excellent that keeps us from concluding that this was to be judged as a poor experience. it is a great pity because it has the potential to improve and we hope that it does. If you require a clean place for a one-night stopover to sleep en route to another place and can make your own arrangements for breakfast, you will have no cause for complaint. If you seek a little more than this, you are at risk of being disappointed
Pros: Everything great breakfast shower bed sheets quilt pillows, if you are in away disappointed with this property there must be something wrong with you
Set in the Orient Forest Regional Natural Park, Le Breuil is located in Piney, a 25-minute drive from Troyes and a 30-minute drive from Nigloland attraction park. This pet-friendly accommodation offers free public parking at a location nearby. The guest house comes with a open plan kitchen and a living room fitted with a flat-screen TV. Guests will find a bedroom upstairs as well as a bathroom fitted with a shower and toilet. Beds are made upon arrival and towels and linen are provided. There is also a courtyard equipped with outdoor furniture and barbecue. Bike storage in a outbuilding is possible. Coffee, tea and sugar are are provided and a bakery can be found within 100 meters. Montier-en-Der is 40 km away while Vatry International Airport is 65.5 km from Le Breuil.
Pros: Having had someone attempt to steal my motorcycle in France last year I based my hotel search this year on having decent parking for the bike this year. Le Beuil fitted my needs perfectly as parking is behind a tall gate. The owners were very friendly although their English was limited it was still better than my French and we had a funny half an hour chatting with them.
Cons: Nothing, the property was great. The local shop was a tad expensive.
Pros: Jaqueline and Didier went out of their way to help when our car broke down and we had to check in much later then expected. They also let us leave later to give us time to amend our travel arrangement. They were very friendly and kind which made a big difference because we were feeling quite stressed.
Pros: Very quirky house with its own secluded garden Parking is behind a tall gate which closes off the property. Good facilities for cooking and bar & supermarket are both within easy walking distance.
Cons: Mattress a little thin & laid on pallets. Very Bohemian! Steep spiral staircase made it difficult to get luggage into bedroom. I didn't bother. Very difficult to find. Even the locals did not know where it was & I called at a house no more than 100ms away. FYI If you park in the parking area on the opposite side of the road to the church an face away from the church it is the first property on the left down the unmade road in the right hand corner of the car park
8.3 Excellent (1,713 reviews)

Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. This hotel has 8 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great location. Family room quite big , space and clean. Very friendly staff. The Hôtel restaurant was average. Breakfast was typical French. Lots activities around and nearby to Troyes and Épernay. Recommended !
Pros: Lovely quiet hotel located about twenty minutes drive from the motorway. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The added bonus for us is that pets are welcome, including in the dining room.
Pros: The bar & restaurant team were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The hotel facilities were not as advertised. The air conditioning was not working, the bathroom is very old, with a separate toilet the extractor fan did not work. Bath had mold around it, shower was a dribble.. When we complained we were offered another room... same problems, turns out the air con is turned to heating in October ( no sign or notice for this on controls) Do you walk into a hot room, turn this AC on.. end up in a even hotter sauna! Not a 4* star. Basic facilities ie AC should be stated on description. Bathrooms are in desperate need of updating. Generally the Privilege suite was very tired. Lovely bar staff, great restaurant team! Reception helpful but reluctant to speak English.
Pros: Quiet setting for this hotel.
Cons: The lift broke down as we arrived. However, the staff were all extremely helpful in enabling us to get up and down to our room from reception. Full marks for customer service.
Pros: Location was good
Cons: The air con could not be switched off and kept us awake. We were charged for breakfast when we did not have it !
Pros: It was convenient, secure and comfortable,
Cons: Limited range of cocktails.
Pros: The location and the comfort after a long drive
Cons: Some staff could have been friendlier
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff Lovely location
Cons: Mattress could have been firmer
Pros: Nice and plesant staff. Good dinner
Pros: We loved the fact there was a pool and its proximity to the champagne area
Cons: The decor is very outdated really needs updating
Pros: An excellent peaceful hotel in beautiful location with very good food. There is plenty to do in this area.
Pros: Comfortable rural stop over on journey back to Calais from S. of France. Good value, large rooms with free wifi in room. Plenty off free parking spaces in safe location. Great as a base for a few days if exploring the area including nearby Troyes.
Cons: Breakfast and dinner menus expensive although a la carte restaurant looked good. We drove into Troyes (20 mins) where there were lots of restaurants.
Pros: The hotel staff were helpful on arrival and when we had dinner. The quality of the food was more than we expected and the dining room service good. The room had been freshly decorated and was a good size and well appointed.
Cons: We had some difficulty finding the hotel from the directions given on the booking confirmation - more detail would have been helpful. The satellite navigation system did not provide coveraage of the area.
Cons: Expensive restaurant compared to quality
Cons: This is a hidden gem....we shall definitely be going back!
Pros: Size of room. Helpful staff. Location is picturesque and close to main motorway. Golf readily available on flat parkland type course
Cons: Bit shabby in places showing signs of wear. Breakfast average spread for 12 Euro PP (automatically added to bill) but with many wasps and flies due to location in forest. Not necessarily Hotel's fault but disappointing.
Pros: Duvet was very warm, blanket was not easily obtainable
Cons: The rain! But that was not their fault
Pros: The surroundings of this hotel are amazing - and the rooms are large. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The wi-fi did not work so I had to use the hotels network in their office to get online with my computer - this was a bit of a bother. The hair dryer in my room did not work - to fix this they opened a vacant room for me to dry my hair - this was also a bit inconvienent.
When you stay at LOGIS Le Tadorne in Piney, you'll be steps from Forêt d'Orient Natural Regional Park. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The hotel is a series of connected buildings, its quaint but charming. Also its a myriad of stairs and hallways at first glance, but after the first breakfast it turns out to be quite simple. This all depends on which room you get. The rooms with a second bed, actually have a folding couch with springs. Good for children, not for bigger adults. I think up to 1,7m and 70Kg its allright for a night. We had the room above the bar, so the traffic on the road passes in front of our room. The insulaton is very good, and it was friday and saturday morning is not too busy. The breakfast is very good. They offer fresh orange juice, from a manual machine. NIce for the kids to turn the handle ! There was jam [ more jelly with a colour, could be better ], cheese, ham and a variety of bread, fruit and yoagurt and cereals. There is a terrace, so if the weather permits you could sit outside. There are rooms in the courtyard 'au calme' , but these only have a single double bed. The restaurant is good too. They have a daily dish and a choice of menu's. Perfect stopover, or to scout the area.
Cons: The airco did not work. I forgot to tell the reception. It was not cold or warm, but we always switch the 'fan' on to generate some background noise to prevent sudden noises to wake us up. But without it we slept quite good. Also the staff right below us [ bar /breakfast ] were very quiet and did NOT wake us up early.
Pros: Loads of character, friendly staff, great food
Cons: Very limited parking
Pros: Good location away from motorway. Good functional rooms and very clean. The restaurant is excellent. Private parking available and if full, free public parking is next door. We returned to this hotel mainly for the restaurant as the menu and the food are excellent. It is worth the few extra kilometres to eat here and it is very peaceful.
Cons: No hot selection for breakfast despite having to serve yourself. I managed the waffle machine. The option to boil even one egg would have improved the experience. I could not find any breakfast tea only fruit tea. Not good value for money. €11.00 for a waffle and some bread! The bar did not have any of the bottled beers on their list.
Pros: This is a lovely rustic typical French hotel. Quaint and charming. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic but then so is the price. The pool is wonderful on a hot day. And last but certainly not least dining in the courtyard was a highlight, great food and good service. Not to be missed.
Pros: Very quirky hotel, pool, friendly staff. Great breakfast.
Cons: Resturant menu was very French, with 3 children we struggled so ate elsewhere.
Cons: Service at restaurant was poor. Too much traffic
Pros: It was our 2nd visit we had a triple room which was HUGE (very big) and extremely comfortable with a bath shower and dressing room. Dinner was great we went for the 6 course menu and tried lots of different flavours and types of food. Not cheap but excellent value and superbly cooked. Breakfast was excellent also if a bit expensive at €11 each.
Pros: The hotel itself was comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay there. We went for a long walk in the natural forest, down by the lake, which was about a 20 minute drive away. The general atmosphere in the restaurant was quite awkward (i.e. there was no background music, the waitresses did not smile, and most couples were whispering which made us feel like we also had to whisper), however one of the waitresses was kind enough to tell my husband that what he had ordered was quite "particular" (it was offal, which he had not realised) - and he ended up ordering something a bit more normal. The breakfast buffet was of good quality, also.
Cons: The reception staff were not very helpful; for example, when we asked for a local map, the receptionist gave us one and then walked away, leaving us in an empty reception room. I would expect a receptionist to at least point out to us where the hotel is on the map, and give us some local tips, without even being asked. In addition, we had hoped that the location would allow us to go on a long walk in the local area, but the most recommended sights to see were only accessible by car from the hotel.
Located in Villechétif, Villa de la Croix is a 3-minute drive from Forêt d'Orient Natural Regional Park and 7 minutes from Stade de l'Aube. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, multilingual staff, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
