The location, the staff, the hotel ambience No porter available for luggage to room, parking arrangements, no english tv other than bbc world
Hotel was generally very clean and staff were very helpful Parking facilities were not 'onsite' and subject to frequent unavailability.
The room was spacious and the decoration was stylish and refined; the kettle, tea and coffee were most welcome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a quiet, restful weekend with long walks in the park of the chateau. everything was fine!
the position of the hotel was excellent. Lovely rooms, good service.
Clean room, English speaking receptionist, staff generally polite and helpful No restaurant and only a very limited menu. Wine not served by the bottle with the meal, we were forced to buy it by the glass, very expensive.
A great hotel in a lovely town, a nice relaxing experience.we will come again
The location is perfect to visit the wonderful castle (it's just across the street) and also to go shopping or eating. It was silent, clean, comfortable, with a nice mini-bar and coffee/tea set. We chose the hotel to stay for one night and continue our trip, but we found it so nice that we decided to stay one more night. The staff was also very kind to allow us to have our bikes in their depots (so we could feel safer by not leaving them attached to our car). There is a public parking just in front, but also there are more parkings all around the area (we had no problems since we stayed during the weekend, but it seems that Tuesdays and Fridays it's forbidden to park because of the street market)
Spacious well appointed warm spotlessly clean Nothing
Great place, fantatstic location right at the Chateaux
The hotel has a wonderful location across from the chateau and tourist information in a very quaint town and building. This is the cleanest hotel I have ever seen, the air is incredibly fresh and the rooms spotless! Wonderful breakfast too!
the staff was very helpfull. The accomodation was ok.
You can walk to the famous all-france-open golf course. Some staffs are not kind. Hard to find the hotel.
Golf and tennis courts, swimming pool. Close to Versales and miniature France park. Free wi-fi. Breakfast for extra pay
Quiet and accessible
Friendly and helful staff, good location (5 minutes from Versailles, and I am sure in summer Golf players enjoy the stay and the swimming pool). it was very calm, children friendly and we had an excellent dinner in the hotel's restaurant (very good quality!)
Room very comfortable, clean and quiet. Didn't like the staff who were somewhat indifferent to us and other guests. Staff could do with improving on their customer skills.
Well located for travellers from Calais to the South of France. Quiet location The pillows were absolutely appalling - like light marshmallow - and that made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The restaurant and bar personnel had the classic Parisian indifference to good service, which should have been trained out of them.
Room service dinner ordered 9pm took 1h40 to arrive. As some consolation, they removed any charge for this without question.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Helpfull, English speaking staff, excellent facilities, very clean No English tv channels
Wonderfull setting , comfortable room The food was excellent with an extensive wine list, however it was very expensive.
Delightful setting. Beautiful hotel with great staff. Good facilities. None
Ambiance both internal and external The restaurant did not do justice to the hotel - being only a little more than adequate whilst the Hotel was substantialy more than adequate.
Exterior outside is excellent. The room for double is bad. Double room in this hotel are in poor location (attic) .The money I have paid 275 euro is not worth for the room like this.
a beautiful chateau a wonderful stay
The Chateau was a unique experience, which was exactly what we were looking for on our trip. It was very well maintained and the rooms were spacious. The proximity to Paris was key for our trip.
Oustanding facility Concierge could be more helpful in arranging activities
The restaurant service Was very very very ineficient And we wait one hour after sieting to be atended.
The beauty of the buildings and grounds Three flights of stairs to climb to the room
The walk around the lake. the view from the room. No proper shower-only hand held.
The restaurant had a good ambiance and good food, although we did have to wait 30 minutes before getting any attention. We were placed in an annex to the main hotel (this was not clear from our booking) and then at 07:30 the hotel started loading laundry into a truck directly below our bedroom window.
Completely renewed, high standard. Sympathetic crew. Close to the RER station, 45 minutes from Paris Austerlitz. Calm, historical little town, some restaurants. Marvelous shower closet. Generous buffet breakfast. Easy parking.
The hotel was convenient to our journey to the South of France and proved to be the best IBIS hottel of the three that we used during our trip.
A great location. Ideal to relax and watch the wildlife on lake. Rooms nice / clean. The walls are wafer thin. We could hear next door talking and even the zip on their suit case !! We stayed away from the attached restaurant after having a warm and over priced beer on arrival. That worked in our favour as the all you can eat Chinese buffet about 2 mile away was great and a lot cheaper
Stayed for 1 night in a family room which was simple but clean, spacious and comfortable with a lovely view across the lake. 2 of the 3 single beds were on a mezzanine level with the 3rd separable by a sliding door. The hotel was comfortable and clean but needs updating. The mezzanine in our room was a lovely feature however the staircase was very open with no bannister, also there was quite a large gap at one end of the railing. My 7 & 3 year old loved sleeping up there but i was a little nervous! I think i would have been happier to have the double bed up there! There was a lovely little balcony outside though i felt it was quite unsafe, especially for children, having just one guard rail at around adult waist height, the doors were secure though, so it was not possible for the children to get out onto it on their own.
clean and cheap hotel. The bed was to small en bending in the middle
Quiet, peaceful and surprisingly modern refuge from a daily hassle. Rooms with cathedral ceilings are decorated with understated elegance and there is a splendid view to the pond and woods from the terrace and panoramic windows. The Wi-Fi in-rooms was free and impeccable. Full bathroom was clean and with just perfect fixtures The only drawback was lack of restauration or room service in August. The nearest restaurant (chinese) was in the shopping center 4 km away.
The room was decently clean and the stafff was friendly. The rooms were freezing. I couldn't see my breath, but i definitely had to keep my arms under the covers. I traveled with several work colleagues and they all complained about the temperature. The room was very basic and reminded me of an army barracks room. Everything was the bare minimum. Did it have a toilet? Check, but it was the cheapest toilet available. The shower was just a drain in the floor and you bathed next to the toilet. Did it have soap and shampoo? Check, but it was an all in one dispenser on the wall. I would never stay here again.
The staff The room, air condiotionant, tv only in french
Quiet place, clean. however, a bit expensive
The Food and the smokers room
Functional but difficult to find, but this was probably my fault for not printing-off a detailed map
Nice large double bed. The room smelled badly of cigarettes, and when we asked to move, the manager said there were no vacant rooms, although it appeared to us that quite a few were unoccupied. We found his attitude unhelpful.
Possibility to enter late at night. Possibility to stay until noon and not until 11 o'clock We had some difficulties in finding the Avenu des Andes
friendly staff, good location, quiet room
Nice restaurant - conveniently placed near motorway for overnight stay on long trip.
We used the hotel as a convenient stopover on a long road trip and found the room comfortable and well equipped (for the price) and the food in the restaurant was good.
We only stayed 1 night and for that the hotel was perfectly adequate the staff were attentive and welcoming. the staff did have problems coping with a rush of people to eat and drink early evening when the receptionist was having to double up as a waitress. i admit that i only checked the invoice carefully when I returned home and I would have appreciated a breakdown of how the cost of dinner was calculated as it appears to be far higher than I would have anticipated - I realise I should have queried it at the time.
The friendlyness off the staff
Recently refurbished and therefore facilities improved Breakfast choice very limited
the hotel is near by the motorway the food and the little beasts in the bedroom
Hotel conveniently near A10 and was very good stop-off point on journey south from Calais to Languedoc. Very pleasant hotel - clean, comfortable and with helpful staff. Sunday night dinner was disappointing - Roti de boeuf was as tired as we were!
Pleasant service, nice location with a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
i was surprised by the cleanliness and the look of my room, well done! 100+ euro with the breakfast is a lot
The staff at the recetion Too noice
Beautiful room, stunning location. Staff were initially unhelpful and unwelcoming. Ultimately they proved themselves excellent but were initially very surly.
The support from the management to find a solution for the fact they did not receive the reservation from you. Restaurant was also very good.
Fantastic location No TV or internet in room.
It was a short stay. We were not able to get reservations at the restaurant but the lovely hotel clerk helped us with reservations in a town near by which was wonderful. The women who was at reception when we arrived was terrifically helpful, and very sympathetic. Made us feel very welcome and well cared for.
Beautiful hotel set in stunning grounds, with a really superb restaurant. Not cheap, but a great treat.
The awesome building and ruines in a most beautiful surrounding is realy astonishing. The rooms are very clean and rustique. I can recommend this hotel to everyone! The pro's are too astonishing to think about the (bad) con's. The service sucked. Everyone was polite, but not everybody has a good comprehension of English. The reception desk was not at all in accordance with the grandeur of the hotel. Arriving at 22u15 in the hotel: they could not give me something to eat (whatsoever), the only thing they could do, was to poorly direct me to the Mc Donalds... (this is no joke!). If you see this hotel, nobody would believe this story...
extremely impressive building
The surroundings and teh restaurant. Spa out of order, gym poor quality. No tv in room.
The meal was exceptional. The service very polite and welcoming and the site itself was very beautiful They could improve providing information about the abbey and its history - unless I missed anythign obvious!
The choice of breakfast food was great and the facilities available in the room was ideal The choice of food for dinner was very poor and did not cater for foreign tastes and was undercooked.
Quiet environment, close to several restaurants and fast-foods. Mini-bar in my room. The rooms would need serious refurbishing. Free internet would be appreciated in the light of the room rate.
We could check in after 23:00, which was not so at many hotels. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept on. The staff could speak English well. Our first room smelled like smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. However, we were able to get another room.
free internet service, good F&B, nice room noisy (close to airport), construction work going on
