Located in Draguignan, La Bastide des Selves is in a rural location, within a 10-minute drive of Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions of Provence and Eglise Saint Michel. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We have just returned from a two week holiday at Bastide des Selves. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel extremely welcome by Christian and his family. We stayed in the Zen room which was superb - excellent decor, clean and comfortable. We got to see the other three rooms during our stay and can confirm they are all equally as impressive. It is located on the top of a hill with great views and in a very quite area. Local villages are not far away and we travelled to the beaches several times during our stay, which were about a 40 minute drive. The breakfast on the terrance was lovely. The breads, croissants, etc. were freshly made every morning, along with delicious homemade jams, fruits, yoghurts and freshly squeezed orange juice. Christian spoke exceptionally good english and was a fantastic host. We hope to return in the future.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location, very quiet and wonderful views. Charming owners. Not suitable for people who can’t manage steps. We’ll be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Christian is an extremely nice and helpful host. The breakfast is home made and delicious. The place and the area are stunning.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Bastide Des Selves is a lovely retreat and we cannot rate our visit more highly! We stayed here during one night over a long weekend, but would come back and stay a week to relax in the cozy, comfortable rooms (we loved the Zen Room!), enjoy the sunshine by the pool, and explore the beautiful surrounding areas. Martine and Christian were impeccable hosts - welcoming us with a cool drink from the moment we arrived, helping us with a dinner reservation in a village nearby, preparing a delicious French breakfast (filled with homemade pastries), and escorting us to our car the next morning. We would absolutely come back here and stay for longer, and bring family and friends.
Cons: Everything was absolutely perfect.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice Bastide on the outskirts of Dragingnan, very pleasant hostess, fantastic bedroom and bathroom. Only slight disappointment was breakfast as no cold meats or cheeses where on offer. However a nice selection of breads and croissants are offered with home made jams.
Cons: Nothing to dislike
Guestazur - Draguignan - Bedroom

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Frank is a really nice host, who warmly welcomed us after a long drive. He gave us good tips about what to do in the area. The property is really nice and very calm. Frank has done a great job on building and decorating this place! Ideally to relax and get some sunshine. Ideally situated between the French coast and the Gorges du Verdon. We'll be back one day!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place totally exceeded our expectations and the host was extremely hospitable as well as friendly and helpful. The bedrooms, living room and kitchen area was incredibly spacious and the house itself was very clean and a pleasure to stay in. The location also was a great bonus, with the town centre being only a few minutes drive away and the beautiful cities such as Cannes and Nice were only 40 minutes to an hour drive away. Franck made us feel very welcome and did his best to make sure we had a great stay and even gave us directions to different tourist locations such as Gorge Verdon and the Hyeres Island. Overall we had am amazing time and would definitely recommend staying here. We are sure that we will return!
Cons: There was nothing that we could complain about.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I experienced Franck as a super warm, charming and welcoming host. The conversations, his attitude towards guests, the animals on the premises. Feeling totally welcome there. The house is well kept, 'thought of everything' equiped. An oases to enter. Hard to leave.
Cons: Nothing at all

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice place out of city, room was small but nice and everything was very clean.
Cons: Owners don´t speak english. Just sweet breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We booked Villa Manoe late whilst on a touring holiday. Although we had a little trouble finding it, what a wonderful place! Christophe and Marylyne were perfect hosts, and their family and friends (and dog!) were also most friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The property has a beautiful view across the valley and Dragninan. Although our room did not have this view it was spacious, clean, modern and comfortable. Being early June, the pool was cool, but looked so clean and inviting. Christophe cooked us delicious evening meals ( on request), which were professionally presented. The breakfast was also excellent.
Cons: Nothing really - just the pillows were rather hard, but the bed was comfortable.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and accommodating owners going out of their way to make the most of your visit.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view and surroundings
Cons: To find the right spot
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting outside of city with a charming host family. We stayed an extra day. The two dinners were the best we’ve had in three weeks in Europe. The man of the house is a super chef - and artist.
Cons: Hard to find, best yetbut again could have been our gps
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were exceptionally friendly and welcoming even though we arrived only moments after booking. Excellent home-cooked dinner. Very good value for money. The room was newly refurbished and spotlessly clean. Thank you!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Hospitality and friendliness of the host family was great. Lovely views and good location. Evening meal with the family and other guests made us feel very at home.
Cons: Not a big issue but only a single door between our bedroom and another room and therefore a little noisy. Would have left the second door in place to offset.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hosts the food pool and the bar were superb. Challenged the French to a game of Petanque. Excellent stay we will always remember.
Cons: Nothing just perfect.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Owners are extremely friendly and helpful, tasty breakfast, big swimming pool
Cons: Missing shower gel/shampoo, tv, view from the room (but very nice view from the swimming pool)

Pros: The host was very Kind and helpful. He arranged a Bike rental for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owner of the hotel is the most helpful and friendly person. He was very happy to provide information about the area but beyond that able to meet all of our request. Despite the fact hotel is 2 stars the property has a lovely new interior, great facilities. Pool is of a great size and very comfortable sun beds. Since the pool is not busy at all feels like a private pool. The best thing about the hotel is that is super clean and hygienic. The grounds might not be huge but again very lovely. Breakfast was very tasty just lack of warm food as in general in France is difficult to find English type breakfast. Great locations close to villages and an amazing vineyard Château Rosaline
Cons: Non applicable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Setting was beautiful, access easy, hosts were exceptional, breakfast fresh and great, good coffee, room small (compared to US) but very comfortable and very clean, bed comfortable (slept great) can't say enough good about the accommodations and service.
Cons: A larger sitting chair would have been preferable but French rooms are just as they are. We Americans are spoiled. Lobby chairs and patio furniture very comfortable.

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: That we lived through the night and got to leave in the morning
Cons: The owner did not answer one of my texts or pick up one of my calls. They answered my husband because he spoke a bit of French. The room décor featured a Chucky doll that was dressed like a Buddha. A bit hard to shower with that looking at you. Fled to the Hotel Victoria. Thank God they took us. Disputing the bill because they refused to refund 2 out of 3 nights after we only stayed for one night

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Unique location in medieval village in the remains of the ancient castle. Small but pretty room with beautiful views of the lower village. We dined twice in the restaurant and the food was excellent. We chose to sit on the terrace which had delightful garden aspect. Some people dined inside in a cave-like room inside the castle. Great little walk down old steps through tiny lanes to village.
Cons: I would have preferred a shower instead of hand-held rose over bath. Breakfast not great value at 17 euros.

Pros: The views from the rooms are amazing, looking over the village. Although the hotel is located on a hill, it is easy to reach. The staff of the hotel is super friendly and very helpful. The swimming pool at the hotel is great for relaxing.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: friendly staff, good food
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The swimming pool is great. Clean and well maintained. The view is also great. The owners are accommodating and flexible. The rooms are correct , nice to have a balcony Breakfast is fine , some more choices will be nice .
Cons: My wife and I had a diner at the restaurant and the food was not really good . With a better food quality and a lunch available we would have probably ate there often. Would be nice to have a biger TV in the room. A more reliable wifi will be nice too.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: - peaceful location, swimming pool for relaxation, comfy beds, more than enough towels, separated bathroom and wc. - very kind staff-due to the traffic accident, we came to the hotel very late in the night: I've called the reception and they gave me a code for entering the hotel and the key waited for us on the reception desk. This was really priceless!
Cons: Nothing.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Hotel. No locks on either the toilet or bathroom. Sliding door lock broken. Toilet seat downstairs broken. Breakfast very basic. Staff difficult to find. Bedroom maid very nice. Toilet door opens inwards? Ok for an overnight stay, but would advise that attention is paid to the above.
Cons: Location. View. And friendly chambermaid.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A well located budget hotel. Extremely good value, home cooked evening meal (3 courses for 18 Euros). Fine for a one or two night stay - although you probably wouldn't want to spend your holidays there, despite its excellent location. For what we required all the essentials were good i.e. rooms clean, very comfortable bed, lots of hot shower water, breakfast fine, friendly staff who helped us with our heavy bags as there are steps up to the main entrance.
Cons: Somewhat bizarre 70s décor, wooden bedhead and dressing table in room, although clean, was somewhat battered - no doubt this is why it is only 2 star. Hazardous extension lead from the TV across the room to the bedside light. The extension socket bar was hanging in mid-air behind a bed and the extension lead which crossed the room had been stuck down with sellotape. I would have thought this would be contrary to regulations. On October 5 the pool was unusable with dirty water although the weather was good - presumably because maintenance had been discontinued for the winter.

Pros: The owner was very friendly. The hotel was closed when I arrived but they had given me a code to enter building and instructions to get to my room. Breakfast was fine, juice croissants, bread, coffee and yogurt. Sometimes internet connection was not good in the room but it was manageable. Nice garden in the back.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfiest bed and pillows.
Cons: We had no shampoo and no conditioner, no body soap, not even hand soap.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. When my car got towed away they helped track it down. The breakfast was typical French. A croissant, half a baguette, butter and jam with deliciously strong coffee. Nice bar and garden to sit in. Short walk to the Old Town and to the Rhone American Cemetery.
Cons: Only minor negatives were no shower curtain and no closet, or anywhere to hang anything. There was a chest with 4 drawers, but no place to hang a coat or shirt.
