It was relaxed and reasonably comfortable. Too much noise from other guests. Not that they were particully noisy but sound insulation is very poor. Mediocre lighting in the room.
Breakfast and restaurant No drink available after 11 p.m.
i liked the warmth of the rooms and also the fact that people were very good at helping us and making life easy, yes the fact that theres no double bed, its two beds stuck together and you fall between the beds. this is all that makes it bad and also the location is not very good but thats not a big issue
The rooms are nice in the size. The beds are too soft. Every day, early in the morning, there was a lot of noise, caused by caterer.
Lokation near by highway Freezing cold at the hotel
Friendily staff , good food, cleanliness and comfort of my room Signage could have been better outside the Hotel
Friendly service in restaurant unsufficient light in rooms, semi-dark except bathroom
Large room and bathroom, good breakfast, (free) parking facility, about 25 minutes walking to the Tiel centre, helpfull personnel. Two single beds instead of a two-person bed, old-fashioned style, shower needs renovation, around the reception and in hallways is was pretty cold.
Convenient, good sized room, friendly staff. Maintenance could be better. The sink and bath drains were partially blocked, causing slow water flow. a fluorescent lamp in the bathroom took anything between 2 and 30 minutes to switch on. These faults were reported.
easy to reach. N/A
The rooms were nice and neat, and the bathroom quite big. Staff was friendly. I had not realized we needed to pay extra for the baby bed. The breakfast was a bit poor, nothing special, but then again I do not know what the standard is.
Good location in a small town not far from the motorway. Motel style rooms. Helpful staff and excellent food.
This is a very nice hotel and new. (Good food nice room) No problems
Nice and relaxing hotel; big courtesy of the staff; rooms very clean. Free parking for guests. No English language in the Restaurant Menu (but the staff was very available to explain).
good restaurant good rooms although ours was over the kitchen so a bit noisy all evening see above
We were welcomed with a smile and the staff were always friendly - the restaurant was excellent and goog values.
The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff was very helpful in giving us directions to our next destination. Had a secure place to store our bicycles (we were traveling by bicycle). The rooms were clean and comfortable. We could hear the diners downstairs in our room until about midnight but then it was quiet. The food in the restaurant was fair, not a great value for the price.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Very good food in the restaurant. Clean room, nice big bathroom, facilties good for the price. Pretty location and decor. It was exceptionally hot weather but unfortunately the windows only opened a short way and there was not even a fan in the room, which would have made it more comfortable. Also, it is very unusual these days for hotel rooms not to have a hairdryer, which meant I had to bring one with me from the UK,
excellant restaurant, very nice staff...good location for our purposes, very scenic. the stairs!!
Pleasant, comfortable hotel in the countryside.
Friendliness of the staff and quality of the food
The hotel is situated in a small village in the middle of the Dutch countryside. The room was modern and clean, the staff were very friendly and the quality of the restaurant was also a pleasant surprise.
Lovely location. Interesting to be able to watch (from our room) the river traffic on the Waal. Adjacent passenger ferry across the river to Tiel (nice town, good eating and shops). Quality of food good, but breakfast buffet rather restricted. Our room (apparently the honeymoon suite) had a splendid bath, but no stand-in shower. Bathing area separated from sleeping area only by a curtain.
Dinner was fine. The room was clean. The location was good and interesting. The ferryboat to Teil shuts down at 8:30 PM on week days and at 6 PM on Sunday. No fault of the hotel, but access to the city of Teil is linited at night.
Friendly, family atmosphere which is in stark contrast to the 'plastic' atmosphere of the big chains / groups of hotels. My reasons for choosing the Veerhuis was a mix of location and facilities. The food was magnificent! No
the restaurant food in the evening the breakfast was a bit limited
The restaurant & Location No TV channel in English
The location was good for me. The hotel is located on the quiet side of the river from Tiel and the river ferry boat stops at 8:30 PM on week nights and at 6 PM on Sunday nights. It makes for quiet nights on the quiet side of the river.
The friendly staff, river view, quiet surroundings, dinners Room is not worth the money
Beatiful view from room, good food.
comfertable friendley atmosphere, helpful staff. the hotel is excellent for relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquil surroundings. missing the last ferry and having to get a taxi. Access to hotel is the only drawback
A quiet country location with friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar and excellent restaurant. Would definitely stay again.
The friendly staff and the beautiful Christmas decorations during our stay. Breakfast with table service in a very nice looking restaurant. I really regret it that, due to our time schedule, we haven't been able to have dinner in the restaurant but will certainly put it on the calendar during a next visit in the area. I missed a luggage rack in the room and the "collection" of 4 very different coat hangers was rather comical. Some bath towel hooks and a well sized mirror near the room's door, not in the cupboard as now, would raise the points score for comfort.
Excellent and nice service. Nice location.
Excellent food None
Staff was pleasant and helpful. Location was great for attending a wedding next door at the Castle. The apartment I rented was much more expensive than a regular room but I thought the convenience of a stove and refrigerator would be worth the extra cost. As it turns out, there were no pots, pans, dishes, glassware etc! Not even a coffee pot! A bit ridiculous to call this an apartment! Worst part was a metal grate stair case that you had to use to access the apartment. Women attending a wedding next door wearing high heeled shoes would find it impossible to go up or down these steps!
Kind staff and nice food Noisy rooms due to bad insulation and proximity with the motorway
