Pros: The hotel was well signed and easy to find. The parking lot was secure and behind a locked gate. There are several restaurant options within walking distance and reception was happy to provide recommendations. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. There was nice varietry at breakfast -- eggs and bacon as well as rolls, cheese, meat, yoghurt, and fruit.
Pros: Everything was great. The "happy hours" are really nice. We recommend this hotel to everyone
Pros: Very nice hotel. Nice rooms. Great lication i Jicin. Friendly staff and good breakfast
Pros: A lot off booking hotels could learn a lot from this hotel. I think it was the best hotel we stayed on booking.com. Our family really liked it . More than I expected.
Pros: Great cozy hotel with nice spacious rooms with a comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and informative, and the breakfast was diverse and delicious. The location was right in the middle of town, close to shops and good restaurants.

Pros: Great hostess, comfortable bed and specious room. Delicious breakfast!
Pros: very good breakfast, large room, very helpful manager
Pros: Amazing service and one of the cleanest rooms I've seen. Our host did all she could to make our stay perfect and helped us with all our queries, even though we had to use google translate for few issues. Included breakfast was really good and more than we could eat. We even got the breakfast in the room on some mornings.
Cons: No complaints.
Pros: There were too many things what we liked:) First of all - I think she was owner, really nice lady, helpful and friendly. We called that we are coming bit later and she said no problem. Our room was huge - 2 separate rooms everything was clean and nice, also bathroom. Bed was comfortable and bed linen were bit scented, that was nice surprise:) In the room was refrigerator with cold beer and other drinks (for money). Tea and coffee were free of charge. The place was really quiet, in the middle of residential area. They have there nice parking lot for car´s, so if you are travelling with the car, it´s good advantage. The place is really close to the centrer - max 7 minutes to walk. And the breakfast - I can say honestly that it was absolutely SUPER! The table cas nicely covered. For the breakfast we got fried eggs, different sort of bread, different sort of ham and cheese, joghurt, fruits, juice, water, coffee (coffee was good, the best during our trip in Czech!), some sweet cake. Very rich!!! Now I can say the best during our trip in Czech! And in the morning the lady made us the pleasant surprise! Once again, thanks! You will definitely get more for the money you paid!!! Suggest!
Pros: We got an upgrade for free from a room to a suite - very nice living room with plenty of space. The place is a good base for the Cesky Raj, town center is a comfortable walk from the property. Owner is very nice and helpful. Breakfast is incredible. Very good value for money.
Cons: May be this is my personal problem, but I wake up early in the morning if the room is not dark enough - so this is the only improvement I could suggest: a bit better light isolation.
Pros: I totally recommend this hotel. The owner is such a warm person. She is so friendly and helpful. She takes care of each guest like a member of her own family. And this is something very special. My room was huge and very comfortable. Also my bed was big like the airport :-) :-) :-) In 1 bed 4 people could sleep easily. Breakfast was delicious. I think it is the best place to stay in Jicin!
Pros: A lovely hotel a walk away from the centre of Jiçín. The hostess was lovely, very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and included a lounge with tea making facilities. The breakfast was great- both cooked and cold food.
Cons: The blinds in the bedroom don’t cut out the light very well
Pros: Outstanding nice and friendly hostess. She upgraded our room for free. Super clean and tidy, tastefully decorated rooms. Free parking place. Quiet location, close to the city center. Fresh and tasty breakfast.
Cons: Coffee, though prepared from the machine by the hostess, was tasteless and watery.
Pros: The lady that runs the place is fantastic. 5 star hotels should take lessons from her. I felt like we were the most important guests in the whole world. We got upgraded to a suit with no charge, the breakfast was catered to all our needs and the location is superb for Jicin and Cesky Raj exploration.
Cons: Some minor cleaning issues, the shower head was defective and some cleaning should be done to the blankets on the sofa. But really I'm nitpicking
Pros: Good parking next to the hotel. We got a spacious room there. The owner was really nice, breakfast was great, we enjoyed our stay there. Good location for traveling around the national parks, a great hiking ground in the cliffs only 5 km away from the hotel.
Cons: Not much, maybe the comfort of the bed could be improved, also there could be a restaurant on site. We went to one the owner recommended and didn't enjoy the food there that much.

Pros: Clean and nice
Pros: Very nice and clean room. The hotel is above a restaurant so very convenient for food. Very easy to walk around town from the hotel and also close to many hiking areas.
Pros: Breakfasts at the Hotel Jiczyn were great! Everything was fresh and the service very helpful. I recommend dinner at the Rieger Hotel. Thank You!
Pros: The staff, coffe, breakfas - everything is perfect as usually Motorcyclists - there is very secure car park.

Pros: fantastic breakfast, very close to the city center and cesky raj
Cons: we got room in a different building, so had to have short walk for breakfast
Pros: Comfortable room, great location, good breakfast with excellent coffee. Good starting point for trekking tours in the area. Very nice old town within short walking distance.
Cons: Unfortunately, despite we changed our reservation in advance and on time and the change was confirmed we have been invoiced with higher price (family room instead of double room) - 1/3 more than we should have been charged. Invoice in Czech only does not help to notice the mistake and clarify it at check out. This part was a bit disappointing even if the property as such is very nice.
Pros: The location was perfect being right next to the city square, everything was clean and it was great to have the restaurant right down stairs!
Cons: There was a few times it was loud and we could hear people in the room next door.
Pros: Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful.
Cons: A few parking spaces - not enough when the hotel is busy.
Pros: good location for exploring the mountain area. Very friendly staff. Breakfast very fine, if there are not too many guests.
Cons: wifi does not work in the rooms, only in public reception area
Pros: Location and food
Cons: 100F or 100dB. Recommend to install air conditioning. Window closed - hot, no sleep. Window open NOISE- no sleep either.
Cons: Smell from the kitchen, not a good value for money.

Cons: Everything was functional
Pros: Good location, friendly welcome, Internet working well, good breakfast. The restaurant on the premises is a nice place, with good choice of food. Convenient place as a base for sightseeing in the surroundings.
Cons: Just one thing: it would be good to have more light in the room we got. An extra lamp on the desk would solve the case.

Cons: Food not available on Sunday Evening, as the restaurant was closed , however the staff were able to direct us to another establishment. So all was fine

Pros: Very kind and helpful homeowners, that respect our privacy. Our expectations were exceeded, the flat was bigger and the layout was better as seen in in the photos. The destination "böhmisches Paradies" is very close and keeps ready breathtaking landscapes and hiking routes. Best price-performance for a young group of 7 people.
Cons: Sometimes the heaters where to hot or to cold (self service is not possible), but in general were happy. The chimney is beautiful, but has no pane. So the use is only possible if the roomtemperature is very low.

Pros: Great location in the forest and next to Prachovy Rocks. Green all around, huge well kept lawn/garden with birds singing everywhere.
Pros: Place, it s absolutely amazing. In the middle of the nature. Have no words.
Cons: Maybe rooms should be updated. I mean the design.
Pros: It is a nice hotel in the middle of nature and close to beautiful places. The hotel is quite big and beautiful. The food in the restaurant was delicious.

Pros: The location is very beautiful. Very nice and friendly staff.
Pros: Amazing location, surrounded by Prachovske Skaly. Perfect hiking base, nice place to stop for a weekend. Hotel itself is older type, but has everything needed for few days stay
Cons: Air conditioning in bathroom worked really loud
Pros: The breakfast and friendly staff were the only two things that we liked. Also the property is located in the amazing place near the Czech paradise. All other was just awful.
Cons: There was very cold in the rooms and it was impossible to heat them. In addition, the heating is not working several hours during the day. The mattresses were very bad and soft. We came up in the morning with backache. There was a party in the evening so the music was very loud till very late. Even in the farthest room we heard the music till midnight at least. Also several hours the restaurant was not accepting the guests because of that party. Finally when we ordered some meal it was very dry and hard (salmon with potato dumpling). In addition room has very thin walls, probably from carton, we heard every word in the next room. Sauna is just small heated room in large almost unheated house. Not nice. It was plenty of mold on the external walls and all facilities in the bathroom have to be replaced and room itself must be renovated. Sheets were not clean, with hair and stains.
Pros: Helpful reception staff
Cons: Unfriendly restaurant staff

Pros: quite peculiar architecture + good location if you are interested in visiting Czech Paradise, spacious room

Pros: Nice design of rooms
Cons: Staff was not friendly at all. The room was noisy during the night (because of other partying guests and also AC on the roof)

Pros: Perfect breakfast ! In the city center!
Pros: There was a very nice receptionist, good breakfast, all was clean. The room was spacious and bed comfortable. It's situated just in the city centre.
Cons: There is a restaurant on the ground floor which closes at 11/12pm, so you may expect a bit noise
Pros: Nice, clean room with fresh sheets.
Cons: There is no 24hour reception, so we couldn't leave our luggagge there and go for hiking. Wifi was quite slow.
Pros: The locality
Cons: The room was small and the whole flat smelled like pee. The sheets were black (which is never a good sign). The toilet made a really strange sound when you flushed it.

Pros: Though we booked a room in the Penzion, we were given a room in Hotel Rieger. The room as very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast too.

Pros: Nice location, close to Jicin and Prachovske skaly. Very quiet.
Cons: - Staff was not very helpfull and friendly - Price quoted in Eur and translated into czk with higher then official rate, although booking confirmation was in CZK - lights in the coomon areas were off at night - you could not even go to the toilett outside of your room - they do not accept credit cards and do not present this info on booking site. - Totally overpriced breakfast for children
Pros: The pension looked beautiful from the outside, and in the town, which was very mediocre, it was the one nice thing to look at. Pool was wonderful.
Cons: The third "bed" in the 3 person suite was not a real bed, more of a lounge chair and very uncomfortable (neck pains from two nights on it). It seems like it was just added to make it for "three" when, in fact it was not suitable. The bathrooms were moldy and dirty, and there is a constant smell of sewage coming from outside the door of the hotel. The first floor double suite smelled of sewage the entire stay since :-( Additionally, we came away from the two day stay with a stomach bug (vomiting, diarrhea) which we wonder if it may be from the tap water, which we drank. Perhaps not, no way to prove, but the smell was very unpleasant and persisted the entire stay.
