restaurant very good view from room good bathroom arrangements not good very smelly toilet seperate from bathroom withn no sink or ventilation so had to walk through bedroom to wash hands horrible, also bathroom had see through glass door which afforded no privacy at all,not proper shower, shower head half way up wall
Efficient. Pleasant restaurant. Nice town.
this is an excellent hotel true high quality french food everything was superb about this hotel very highly recomended.
The quality of the room fittings and the space and the quality of the restaurant. It is preferable not have a glass and only partially opaque door to the bathroom. The WC could have been situated in the bathroom, with redesign, so that hand washing could be done immediately.
View of Harbour. Efficiency of entrance, lift and Parking. Style of Restaurant. Cuisine - compared to similar hotels, looked better than it tasted.
Hotel propre et pratique, personnel très serviable, excellent rapport qualité prix.
Plenty of space in the room. Good, opening windows with a pleasant view onto the harbour, with moored boats. It would be helpful to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Excellent friendly helpful staff and wonderful food in restaurant. Good size room, with all facilities and lovely view of marina. Comfortable bed. Free use of Internet.
high quality hotel with lovely view out of windows, decor very good and feel of luxury not a lot to do in this location but for our one night stop over it was perfect
I can surely recommend this hotel for everybody who looks for relaxing holiday. The sea view room we had was just perfect.
Close proximity to the dock ie Dieppe, and also Le Harve, easy access to major towns and citys. lack of suitable parking for motorcycles
Vriendelijk personeel; mooi gelegen, fijn eten Smal bed
Comfortable room with lovely sea view. Restaurant very good. Friendly staff.
We enjoyed the situation close to the sea and the nice restaurant.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, while as the room was small it was still very neat and tidy and had all the usual basics etc. The staff were very friendly, it is a small hotel and I doubt they get many English staying here because it isn't on the usual tourist trail. Most of the staff spoke quite good English and with our smaterings of french we got on fine ! On the downside it perhaps needs a new coat of paint outside and perhaps a kettle in the room would be helpful. Our dinner the first night was great, whoever their chef is he deserves a "well done"! While as this hotel is quite basic I would stil say "go", the staff more then make up for the bad paint job!! Could have fresh paint on the outside.?
Proximity to chunnel was reason we chose this B@B!! Been before know area. Basic but comfortable, many eating places nearby.
Location Bathroom shower small
The hotel is clean, staff very friendly. Sometimes during showering hot water disapears.
The location of the hotel Breakfast over-priced
Good location, right on the seafront, though rooms without a sea view must have a pretty dull view. Reception staff were friendly. Lovely restaurant/dining room. The key to the door to our room was very tricky to get to work, and the door on to our little balcony didn't lock properly. Staff had forgotten to put up the Z-bed for our daughter in advance of our arrival (but were prompt enough to sort it out after we pointed it out to them).
Good cuisine, with excellent restaurant and room overlooking the sea. Very comfortable hotel in lovely small town.
Good location. Staff were accommodating. Fresh towels every day. Windows opened wide so lots of fresh air. There was no wardrobe in the room; when one arrived, it was so small even shirts could not hang properly. We were on the third floor (presumably because we asked for single rooms) and one of us was elderly. The rooms were cleaned well but teh room facilities were lacking - no kettle etc. and a dearth of soap and loo paper.
Location right on the seafront is excellent. Not the biggest room we've ever stayed in but immaculate and great views.Food very good in restaurant & reasonably priced. Good selection of wine, again reasonably priced. Staff friendly & helpful. Parking could be a problem in high season & at weekends as hotel does not have its own designated spaces. We arrived late on Sunday afternoon and drove around for quite some time before getting a space close enough to the hotel to unload.
Friendliness of Staff, charm of lounge/restaurant.
Good value. Yes, the rooms are small -but fine for a three day break. Freindly staff, excellent location for beach and restuarants.
Balcony overlooking the sea and the amazing cleanliness of the area...quiet, well kept town with beautiful flowers. Very good fish Restaurant on the most attractive yachting harbour. Good shopping facilities as a result. Beautiful countryside and coast. Parking just outside Hotel. Our room on 1st floor was small but workable and the beds were good - pleasant decor. Antiques on stairs, and dark furnishings produced an air of quality in an otherwise unfriendly stairwell. We were not advised that the excellent Restaurant would be closed on our 2nd (Tuesday) night, however I found the chairs quite impossible so probably it was as well. The entrance steps were very dangerous for older people; also there was no lift when it should have been feasible in this type of building. A grab-rail near the shower/bath is needed and the lack of shower screen meant water escaped to the bedroom... Not good... AND...our door lock was defective...most worrying.
cleanliness of room, sea view, excellent evening meal
Warm welcome, excellent restaurant
The food was excellent. The cooking was simply first class. No contest. Friendly and competent staff - we really enjoyed ourselves. We had a power failure on the last night. But... The hotel immediately gave us a 10% discount.
What a fantastic find! understated luxury, helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive staff, delicious food in amazing setting, large grounds, swimming pool....Attention to detail in every respect makes Clos Masure De Campagne a very special boutique hotel. We hope to return.
This is a pretty and well-tended country site with some interesting features. Our ground-floor room in a stable-type block was tastefully decorated and equipped with all the necessary facilities, including a kitchenette. A traditional breakfast was served in the homely surroundings of the main house. There were signs that some end-of-season maintenance was due - a loose socket and tap in the kitchenette, a shower head which kept slipping down and a rather off-putting smell of damp in the bathroom. Our main disappointment was that the restaurant was unexpectedly closed, necessitating a tiresome trip into Dieppe at the end of a long day's travel.
Very helpful. Lovely location. Good food. Well designed room. Like it a lot. The walls of the rooms are quite thin.
The peace and quiet. The restuarant was closed, and the nearest place to eat was 20km away.
Tastefully decorated and elegantly maintained countryside hamlet
The evening meal was excellent and in very chic surroundings The accommodation is too pricey for what it is. Also the service levels did not match the pricing.
The location in a peaceful area and the layout of the buildings. There was no coffee making facility in the room and the restaurant was fully booked so we could not use it.
The location, beauty and size of the property. Plus the feeling of being in the countryside with the horses on the property. The best part was the meals we enjoyed that were cooked by one of the owners of the property (Jean-Francois). He is an excellent cook. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. There wasn't anything that we didn't like about the hotel.
Nice design hotel. Renovation not finished yet (July 2009). In the middle of nowhere. Also, it seems like the male couple running the hotel is eager to squeeze every single penny from the guests. Example? Charging a 6 year old kid for breakfast.
The location is great; so is the view of the hotel and the view of the grounds. Restaurant was NOT gourmet, hotel room was poor. Prices far too high. The hotel room was awful (small and run down).
If you want to stay in a Castle, this is a nice one. Pay the extra for a better room. We had the cheapest room (still quite expensive) in the attic. Very small room. Meals were also very expensive, so we did not eat there nor did we take the 14€ each for breakfast. Overprice meals. Rooms too small for the money.
Its idillic setting and old world charm. The stair case! It was magnificant but a lift to the upper rooms, (even if it were a 'staff' lift) would have been much appreciated.
I loved everything!!! The food was great the staff was the best. I hope to go back one day soon!!!
it is a loveley place for a nice weekend away
The restaurant wine list was unacceptable - no wines were offered at an even sane price; shame that such an excellent facility should spoil itself in this important way.
the architecture no hot water + being waken by staff before check out. Would expect some form of concern from the Hotelier.
The wonderful food and a great room
A beautiful place, location very calm, ideal for relaxation
The hotel was really beautiful and clean. The location of the hotel is perfect: relatively close to beaches and most interesting places in Normandie.
Very attentive staff, Lovely big rooms perfect for families and big spa pool. Large spa pool but children not allowed in. Small stream runs through the hotel grounds but no fence on side with garden - need to suppervise little children very closely!
The hotel was in a charming location with very helpful friendly staff. The rooms were excellent - perfect for a family. Enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.
Lovely room in a gorgeous setting, Arriving at 6pm on a Sunday and the restaurant was closed as was the whole of the village and anything else within half an hour drive. We booked in for breakfast and the waitress couldn't understand our limited French sk decided we hadn't booked in and tried to ignore us. Not helpful when you have 2 kids with you!!!
Very clean room, relaxing location, excellent traditional French food Had not appreciated that the "suite" meant one double bed and a double sofa bed.
The hotel is ideally locared only 100 metres from the beach and same from the centre of town
The bed was surprinsingly good in this very over-estimated superior room. I would not recommend the annex of this hotel that you find a few streets away from the main building on the sea-front. Nothing indicated, photo wise, that we were not in the main hotel but in some other building with only a view of buildings of the 70's period. The breakfast was correct but difficult to get a real warm and welcoming smile from the people serving it ... Oooh, and I had parked my car in front of the hotel and got a very nice and long scratch on the hood made with a key of some sort by some very welcoming inhabitants of this fine city ... I will definitely not go back there if I can prevent it ...
Nothing - I was most disappointed with this hotel Location: totally on-street with no allocated parking. Appearance: shabby and in need of a total refurbishment. The public parts (stairway etc) smelled musty and not ventilated. The decoration was dull and ancient. Our room: stank of tobacco smoke and had not been aired. The en suite facilities were the tiniest I have ever encountered and there was no privacy from the room due to the louvre doors. The breakfast - raely have I had a more petit petit dejeuner - one small croissant, one small piece of bread, no cereals or meats and cheeses - and for this we were charged €8 each! Daylight robbery. And having to checkin at another hotel was the last straw. There are no staff in the hotel at night - poor security.
