That the bar closed early
The breakfastt for ten euros was amazing, including a gluten free area with gluten free bread and its own toaster! The variety of foods from fruit to yogurt to eggs and ham and a board of cheeses and homemade jams was really unusual. It was the best breakfast we had on our six week stay in Europe. Also, the room was clean and quiet, and the bathroom was adequate.
However, our flight got in late (around 1 am) and we had to wait in line for 30 minutes to be checked in upon arriving at the hotel - there were only two desk clerks, and one was very slow. We stayed at Bewleys/Clayton's twice: when we arrived to Europe and also on our way back to the U.S. Coming in, the walk to the hotel shuttle seemed far, and we waited a bit for the shuttle. On the way back we found a shorter way from the terminal to the shuttle, and it was waiting. The ride from the terminal to the hotel is 10-15 minutes, so from the time you leave the terminal, it can take up to 30 minutes or more before you get to the hotel.
I stayed at this hotel to be close to airport for early departure. The Free shuttles are FABULOUS, run all the time, drivers nice/helpful. Hotel room was quiet and HUGE! Only suggestion I can make is offering different types of pillows. Mine were the very firm big ones. I will definately stay here again.
Bright and clean and affordable
A bit far from the Airport.
Really nice front desk staff, 24h airport shuttle, easy to get into the city center, good value for money
Not the cleanest - time to replace towels, linens, and carpet, also no toiletries except some pump hand soap - made for an interesting shower...
The free shuttle to and from the airport. We just took the Aircoach from Dublin city center to the airport, which dropped us off right next to the Bewley's airport shuttle. It took less than half an hour from Dublin to our hotel room!!! Next morning, we hopped on the shuttle for our morning flight and were at the terminal in 15 minutes! The staff were friendly, the lobby was luxurious, the room was super clean and smelled super clean too! The sheets, bed linens, towels were all very clean.
The TV in the room was super old! Just get some small flat screen and put it on the wall like we saw at another hotel. We don't really watch TV, so could do without it in the room. However, the TV that was in the room was an old CRT and occupied so much space on the table! We could certainly use that space had the TV not been there. Again, just get a cheap medium-size flat screen LCD and hang it on the wall! We would have liked better control over the temperature in the room. It was not uncomfortable, but a bit cold. We appreciated the two armchairs and a table in the room. However, the armchairs looked old and had some tears in the upholstery. The sofabed in the room was unfolded and had linens and pillows on it! We only needed one bed, but found 3 beds in the room (one double and one twin bed plus the double sofa)! The sofabed should not have been unfolded for us - we did not need the room to be filled with sleeping surface for 5 people!!! It's an easy fix - considering how many rooms the hotel has!
Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great customer service. The food and pub were fantastic
Nothing - food was dreadful
Staff, food, service, overall a parking lot that pretends to be a hotel
Price Close to airport Shuttle Bus Lobby Restaurant
No temperature control in room
It's a really nice hotel for when you're flying out
Wow, the staff at this Bewley's were amazing given especially given the chaos of guests arriving from the airport or tour groups. Each time we had a question, the staff members treated as though we were their only concern.
We stayed two separate nights, and on the second it was a bit warm in the room that is not air conditioned. Out of a three week stay in Ireland in July, this was the only evening where having air conditioning might have increased our comfort. So don't let the lack of A/C hold you back.
Wonderful staff, very helpful. The location was perfect for a quick overnight stay while in Dublin and having to leave the next morning for a flight. The view is awesome of the airport, you get to see airplanes flying in and taking off, without the noise of course.
The hotel was close to the Dublin airport with a free shuttle to and from. The room was comfortable and the staff was nice.
The hotel restaurant was expensive.
