the staff the rug
We were upgraded and we arrived very early into Dubrovnik and the staff allowed us into the room early which was wonderful as it was a very wet and cold day. This has made a great impression on us.
Old 19th century style hotel with modern conveniences just outside walls of Old City
The hotel itself is great, centrally located etc but what makes this place special is its people. Everyone I interacted with went above and beyond to make my stay a pleasant one. They genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy! I don't have anything bad to say about this place
Location Breakfast standard, but not excellent for a Hilton
Staff was great and very accommodating. Restaurant menu choices were likited
Its location at the entrance to the old city and close to beaches. We were promised rooms with a view of the sea or the garden, but were given rooms at the back of the hotel with a view of an interior cement courtyard.
food, staff and all was excellent wish wifi was free
It was a very convenient position for exploring the city but could do with better lounge facilities - quite expensive and certainly not 5 star quality
Fantastic hotel and service, great place to visit. Could have more evening entertainment, but not really a problem.
Staff attitude and when checked online and arrived no rooms was available eventhough I Have been charge on may credit card
The staff was friendly and the location was good (short walk to old town). Our stay was not enjoyable. The hotel caters to over 65's, our room was on the ground floor and had a view of a hedge, the shower was not good, and the price was insane.
Relaxed friendly atmosphere.
I think the location is the best for visiting Dubrovnik. The indoor pool is large and has lots of lounge chairs to relax. the area also has two Jacuzzis, a dry sauna, a steam room and a wellness spa, all good. I think the hotel management could improve on signage. In particular the sushi restaurant is not easy to find.
situation , sight, beach, parking service is not always what can be expected of a five star hotel
A very good traditinal hotel, very good location. The size of the room too small for a 5 stars hotel The massages at the spa were un professinal. The Taverna restaurant was mediocar
The location of this fabulour hotel was perfect. We had a spectacular view of the city walls and the ocean. The balcony was screened for privacy. The terrace also had great views. The breakfast buffet was excellent. All the staff were helpful. The spa treatment - wonderful.
Hotel location. Nice view.
the pool and spa facilities as well as the location; from my room I have an excellent view from Dubrovnik medieval city I would not recommend the restaurant for dining. The food quality is not proportional to the price
free bundance of hotel towels by sunbathing area breakfast had great selection hotel very clean and spotless staff on reception very helpful. standard room was a bit small for price, although you have to accept it's little fault compared to hotel location.
Being next to Adriatic Sea and facing the old town of Dubrovnik and walking distance to the old town, the spa facilities in the hotel and the wonderful terrace where you can eat or drink and helpful staff makes Excelsior Hotel a perfect place to stay. Nothig at all.
Location & view. Food & service was also very good. Some of the rooms at the back are very small & look out onto a wall. We changed room after one night and the second one was much better. I would have liked tea & coffee making facilities in the room.
The hotel was centrally located in the walled city with access to easy parking. Spacious room with included breakfast. The Staff were amazing, friendly and filled with information and recommendations. Super friendly and in a beautiful city. We liked every thing!
The location. The discretion of the staff. The breakfast. The decor The smell from the sewage
The whole experience.
Beautiful old building, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff. No.
Very welcoming I arrived late at night and would have had difficulty finding the hotel if I had not been met by the hotel's porter. It is worth noting that there is no car park within 200 metres of the hotel, so it is preferable to be fit and agile, as Dubrovnik Old Town is full of steps and cobble stones.
location..location...location The fact that it was my birthday and I was given a cake and a gift. A la carte breakfast included..Beautiful little Hotel not one complaint
Everything was really amazing and beautiful
It is elegant but also very friendly and comfortable. The situation in the old town is full of character and the staff could not have been more helpful. I was on a winter break with my husband and I would recommend it highly. We did have to walk (5 mins) from the old town gate as cars cannot drive up to the hotel, but this added to the charm. No
Access to nearby tourist attractions were excellent. Hotel staff (receptionists, restaurant staff, cleaning staff, et al) were very friendly. Good quality breakfast was provided at a restaurant facing a square....good ambiance. Suggestions by hotel receptionists on 1) opening times of tourist attractions and 2) restaurant recoccomendation, 3) airport transportation were not accurate. They were all very enthusiastic and friendly, though.
Fantastic location in the Old City. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful stff. Hard to find and only accessible on foot. Older folk with baggage would find thid hard to do. We arrived about 11 p.m. and had to walk through the Old City with our bags. Someone finally directed us and we did get there.
The breakfasts were very good. The value for money was poor in that for a five star hotel there were no facilities, eg lounge, gym, pool, etc. We enjoyed our stay very much but did not think that the price or the five star status were merited.
No internet eventhough it is written that there is a wireless connection!
Clean & comfortable. Very welcoming and helpfull staff. None.
The position of the apartment we stayed in was excellent inside the old town of Dubrovnik and right near Pile Gate (for local bus to the bus station). On our arrival, the manager collected us from the central bus station, which was very kind. The floor of apartment needed a good clean, a fryinpg pan for the kitchen would be useful, and the is no internetaccess inside the apartment or outside the windows - the only potential access is the city's free WiFi network, that you might be able to pick up in a small outdoor area down the other end of town (We had a usb modem & bought a data sim card from Vip/Vodafone, which worked a little in the apartment). Still, we had a great stay here.
The location, value for money and the room was great. Plus the awesome wine bar, D'Vino, a few doors away!!!
The hotel is just inside the town, it's a very old building in one of the narrow streets of the town. We had a room with balcony, it was clean and very comfortable. It was just like home in the old city! Thanks for everything.
The best things about these apartments were their central location in the middle of the old town, the helpfulness and friendliness of the owners and the value for money they offered I found the breakfast somewhat repetitive with very little choice available however there was enough to eat and the hostess was lovely.
Perfect location in the middle of the old walled city. First rate modern accommodations you would expect in the best hotels. The proprietor, Pablo, was very attentive and assisted in arranging tours, airport transport, and recommending the best dining. Our room had a wonderful little balcony overlooking the quiet pedestrian street. Cafe literally right across the street, then becomes a night club. Nothing really. The location is right in the middle of town, so expect crowds and some late night noise.
