The hotel was situated close to public transportation. The rooms were spacious, clean and quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked a beautiful court yard. We enjoyed our stay immensely,
We really do not have anything to say was a disadvantage. We have only positive things to say about our stay.
Very convenient location (7 mins walk from the Volksgarten S-Bahn station and a 1-min trip to Dusseldorf central station or 15 mins to Dusseldorf International Airport; tram 706 to the Old City), friendly and very helpful staff (English-speaking), spacious rooms, and the biggest breakfast buffet I've seen in Germany. And the price was delicious, about 1/3 of what I would have expected to pay for such stay. Had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Although we stayed for one night, I would rate our overall experience at this hotel as pleasant. The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to metro stop (just across the road), from which you can easily access city centre. The room was small but comfortable, had everything we needed in it - a TV, mini-bar, plenty of towels in the bathroom. The room was modern, nicely designed and v clean!
There were some construction work undergoing at the time that we stayed at the hotel. However, it was outside and did not bother us at all. I would say that breakfast for the price of 15euros is a bit too expensive, considering that you can choose from a variety of brilliant cafes and restaurants in the town that wouldn't cost you a fortune.
Reception was ultra-efficient. Friendly wake-up call at 5:30am and the taxi (that I just mentioned-in-passing the previous evening as being required, was already waiting for me.
The rooms should have 2 larger pillows to enable easy tv viewing from the bed.
I found the breakfast very good and diversified: fresh fruits, cooked dishes. The room was also good, warm and big and nice colors and good offer from the minibar. Very nice garden. Sauna was ok.
The position of the hotel is too far away from the city center and work. I would have like to have a terrace/balcony to have the possibility to smoke outside (because the rooms are non-smoking).
A modern design hotel
The pillow, was too soft
We spent a lot of our time in the Old town.We went on a City tour bus & took a trip up the Rhine
I cannot fault the Hotel, but it does say it's only 5mins away from the Old Town etc...It took us 1 hr to walk.It wasn't in an area that I found to be safe to walk after dark.We had to spend a lot of money on taxis.
I have stayed in this hotel many times already and every time I stay I enjoy it! The staff is extremaly helpfull, the breakfast are great and the rooms are very comfortable!
Very nice atmosphere in terms of staff and room design. The breakfast buffet is excellent!
The rooms towards the road a rather noisy during morning traffic.
