The location was perfect! Went to Colorado to see snow-- walked away with the best memories we could ever hope to make. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to enjoy Durango with family. The restaurant had an awesome breakfast to boot!
The staff was not very friendly-- felt they were annoyed anytime we attempted to ask questions. Didn't acknowledge us when we arrived and seemed in a hurry to do something else whenever we approached the front desk. Expected better front desk service.
Room was nice and bed was very comfortable.
This was supposed to be a non-smoking hotel, but smoke from other room(s) wafted into ours. First it seemed to be tobacco smoke, then the next day it was pot smoke. Needless to say, it took away the enjoyment of the stay.
Best hotel staff around. Wonderful spa and pool and room service was delicious
Very nice rooms, the staff was excellent. They offer a complimentary shuttle to the Durango airport.
Location and staff are excellent.
Shower was weak. Water was luke warm. Restaurant next door was slower than slow...45 minutes to get breakfast and it wasn't busy.
Very new hotel, great room at a great price
This hotel was awesome! Nice friendly staff and room was unbelievable... This is my new favorite place to stay while in Durango! Even though I live in Ignacio haha
Rooms are clean and comfortable.
Internet and cell phone access are poor.
Free WiFi. kids eat free at great restaurant. Wonderful pool. Wow! We loved it!
Bathtub faucet was broken. People around us were loud
The staff was great.
At 4:00 a.m., the smoke alarm in my room started chirping. It needed a new battery. Removed the battery, but it kept chiriping because it was hard wired to the hotel. Eventually had to completely remove it. But the staff was nice during this problem.
Staff, clean, restaurant, complimentary coffee in lobby
Bed was a little to fiym
The restaurant food was sub-par and not worth staying in for. The hotel front desk staff member was unwilling to change my room or check availability until 3PM for my second night stay.
Beautiful room, beautiful setting. EXCEPT...5-6 AM Garbage truck pickup just below our far room!
Req'd 1st floor room if possible. Hubby's ankle injury made walking difficult; with elevators it was OK EXCEPT were given last room on a long hall. No TV remote...clerk seemed to know this. AC wheezed loudly. 2nd class treatment. No breakfast. Paid $---
Good location, clean room
Hotel was overbooked, I had to wait a long time to check in and my children had to sleep on the floor.
Holiday Inn isn't as nice as the other hotels in this listing. I didn't like that we had to pay all the extras like the pet fee or breakfast.
I like the easy access to the rooms and the new modern decorations. Staff is friendly.
Did not really care for restaurant. I ate breakfast here only one morning
Location was good. The hotel is new and looks very nice.
We indicated 4 people at booking for 2 queen beds. However, there were only 3 towels. There was a dirty sock under the bed skirting and in plain view. The bathroom does not have an exhaust fan so it a sauna and water dripping everywhere after showering.
Great over all location, design and feel of the hotel
The beds were too stiff
The fireplace was awesome.
The sheets were dirty, as well as the microwave and refridgeration. We had to ask for soap and request our linens to be changed. Did not expect this for a holiday inn.
The front staff was very polite and helpfull.
The beds and pillows were so bad we barely slept.
The room was very clean.
The girls at the front desk were a little rude to us. We stood there for a while and there a girl just sitting on a ledge and she finally got up to ask if we need help.
The front desk staff was helpful, friendly, and tried to make things right.
Greeted by bathroom hairs...quite a few...is not what I call clean. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant...just lovely when a person comes out of the kitchen with their dog! And the waitress was sick, kept wiping her nose, then rolling up silverware.
The room was clean and the hotel was new.
It seemed very expensive for just a room with no perks like a view or breakfast. Lumpiest pillows ever!
Staff told me on the phone that the pet was a $25/day refundable deposit, but it's actually nonrefundable $25/stay. Our room was not cleaned between days because the staff told us to leave our pet sign up at all times, which was incorrect.
The room with the ice and soda machine had mold growing in and on the walls. The walls had been ripped out but no one was working on the problem during the 5 days we stayed there. The room was not sealed off exposing the guests on the 2nd floor to mold.
It was on my way to my next destination, but inconvenient to restaurants and stores.
It was poorly designed. Had a safety hazard in that the doorstop for the room door was placed on the floor in front of the mirrored closet doors where one could easily trip and perhaps break the glass.
Beautiful new hotel. The rooms were nicely furnished and clean upon arrival. Great flat screen with full DirecTV service. Nice fridge and microwave. Comfy beds and pillows. Indoor pool was clean and fun.
Although technically within 'walking distance' of downtown Durango, not a convenient walk, as it requires walking along a busy highway and crossing highway intersections. Staff was very friendly, but paid little attention to details.
Very nice accommodations with a restaurant/bar on premises. Good location, within walking distance of the Animas River trail. Not close enough to walk to the downtown area though. Staff is friendly and the rooms are great!
Couldn't tell you since I had to cancel the trip but still had to pay for the room.
I will never ever for any reason use Priceline again. There should have been more warning about cancelations or changes. I ended up paying for a room I could not use.
