Friendly Helpful Staff /Health Pool Facilities /Golf Course/Grounds/ Quality of Restaurant Food
The staff are wonderful. Hotel shabby and swimming pool small
Break fast and serving staff--very good
relaxed atmosphere, fantastic food, chilled weekend location. would have loved to have a spa treatment but all booked up (we only booked hotel at last minute). noticed on visit to ool that gym closurehad been delayed - would have been useful to have u[dated the website or emailed an update prior to arrival.
the gardens, the golf course, the value for money (as it was on special offer) and a lovely buffet breakfast
clean and tidy, gym not bad, plenty of breakfast available be aware gym closing for refurbishment so check if needed!
friendly helpful staff the spa was a disappointment - all in need of refurbishment
Breakfasts, Outside Pool Room was too hot. Bar prices very unreasonable
the wide range of leisure facilities
Good friendly all round service. It took three trips to reception before I could get into my room!
clean comfortable and excellent breakfast the location and lack of disabled parking spaces
Exellent breakfast,comfortable beds.
There was a lovely view of the countryside from the bedroom window and it was really peaceful. The bar and dining area were modern and there was a varied choice of good food on offer during breakfast.
i have stayed at this hotel before and was close to all amenities.
Tea/coffee making facilities clean towels Duvet cover not very good ie old/dirty, when having a shower the bathroom floor was a pool of water and dangerous had to mop up with towel, no sky tv + only 4 chanels.
good breakfast first room offered was stuffy and damp, we requested a non -smoking room when booking, were given a new room that was a non smoking room , not sure why we were not offered this when checking in.
Comfortable and surprisingly quite considering the location. Friendly staff. Excellent dining room with breakfast well organised.
There was a restaurant with a reasonable evening menu and a bar. Breakfast very good. Not enough TV chanels.
The room was extremely comfortable and quiet. The staff were very polite and helpful. The bathroom was a little shabby and the towels were very thin.
Friendly staff That mattress
I was impressed that the owner?/manager of the hotel made personal contact with his guests Lack of adequate car parking - but the hotel can do nothing about that
The proximity of where I needed to be and the breakfast. The bar prices were quite reasonable. The rooms were very small and dated. The mattress was uncomfortable. It was a big step down out of the bath. One of the receptionists was quite unfriendly.
The hotel was very clean and friendly and the rooms were small but comfortable. We were very impressed with the evening meal in the hotel.
Breakfast ! Small rooms, uneven floors in bedrooms, lack of car parking and very poor bathroom facilities.
The food was very good - we stayed for b and b and dinner and all staff were very friendly and helpful. bed was rather lumpy.
Clean and a nice sized bath Shower temperature varied and got very hot
The staff are helpful and the room was very comfortable. The bathroom was very small.
room clean and tidy small portion on full breakfast
Parking is hit & miss
Convenient location. Room 4 was a single room with a double bed, and noisy air-conditioning unit outside the window.
The location is excellent being central to Arundel, and close to the castle. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. Great pub on the ground floor.
The location was good. Bar man Michael efficient and friendly It was Easter and the restaurant service was poor. Very slow and seemed unable to cope with the number of guests. The bathroom was dirty on arrival, lots of long hair in the sink and on the floor. Again it would appear they were too busy to cope.
The friendliness and willingness to help and inform of the staff
Convenience for Arundel. Breakfast. A little dirty. Room small.
Room to small, decor tired, some minor repairs needed
went to a wedding room and bathroom a bit cramped
The staff were great.Hotel was clean and comfortable. In great location fot visiting the castle.
FRiendly staff ! The car parking price - surely you could get passes for tyhe public car park for your guests! They do at Arundel House Hotel !! Also think your Chef should learn to poach eggs without cooking them in vinegar. Apparently he has to do that to stop them separationg !!
Convenient location. Efficient handling of group meal in the evening The rooms were not very warm. we had to ask for the heating to be turned on
Very friendly and welcoming staff nothing
The hotel was a delight... wonderfully luxurious bedrooms, with lovely little touches like dressing downs and slippers and chocolates on your pillows each evening. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, in particular the pool and sauna area, and the staff were the perfect combination of friendly and professional. The food available in the restaurant was a "foodies" dream - a real culinary experience - and not too expensive considering the sumptuous surroundings. Breakfast was included in the room rate, and the usual offerings were available, but in addition you could have far more opulent dishes such as smoked salmon - again, wonderful! In all, we very much enjoyed our stay and were most disappointed to be going home! I will most definitely be returning! The only possible negative (and it really is rather down to personal taste) is the heat of the bedrooms. Even without the radiators on, and with the windows open, it felt warm... so although I would not let this put you off, only pack light weight pajamas!
Lovely rooms and the restaurant was fantastic. Pillows were a little hard for my personal taste.
Comfort of Room
The staff were personally delightful but very obviously badly trained - a management problem, I suggest.
The staff were friendly and accomodating and made the stay very enjoyable Too short!
Comfort, friendliness, service and overall value for money No
Excellent all round service and facilities
This was our second visit to your establishment and like the first visit everything was perfect. The staff, food and environment was just perfect, and we shall be back.
Room was absolutely amazing, decor was well thought out! Staff were friendly, would highly recommend. Nothing to complain about, hotel was perfect
Decent room, good value Meal, pleasant staff, good value
Facilities we used were good. Staff friendly Breakfast could have been better. Virtually no fresh fruit. Hot selection not very hot
It was central to were we wanted to be
A very clean and comfortable room, nice to see for once that hot water and plenty of when needed, comfortable bed and a modern flat screen TV!. Free Wi Fi in the bar area . Very comfortable stay.
First class breakfast Evening meal was poor quality
Friendly staff, lovely food! Easy to get to with good parking. Slightly noisy in the morning with kitchen staff working just below window but nothing to moan about.
The staff were wonderful and the food was absolutely fantastic.
Friendliness of the staff, quality of the food Excessive noise of the Bedroom doors on closing
The room was very clean and tidy and had a great decor.
Clean, well decorated with friendly and efficient staff.
Beach Front Location / Friendly Staff. Having to pay £2.50 every day to park outside in the street /Only Itailan food on the menu / No restaurant [closed] having to eat in the Bar.
Very attentive and professional people within the team operating the Burlington Hotel not applicable
receptionist looked after our check-in needs well. (Early departure next day, so great care to ensure we had a quiet room.) very basic furnishings - not representative of a four star (this explains the following two answers)
Clean, comfortable, bar open till late. Minor quibbles. They got the bill wrong. They charged my account after one night even though I was staying for two. Also they might turn the disco music down a tad lower in the bar than on the dance floor. Can't hear what anyone says!
Light, well furnished comfortable room with sea views to the side, balcony and windows that opened.
Convenient location for visiting local college. Noisy room due to water/gas pipes near room
The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The room was clean and comfortable with nice decor. the bathroom was very strange. You had to go up stairs to get to the main part of the bathroom but the ceiling didn't get any higher. As my boyfriend is 6'4" he had to stoop whenever he went to the bathroom and even I at only 5'6" couldn't stand in the shower. In this respect I'm pleased we only stayed one night in the hotel as it wasn't very nice. Also the noise from the nightclub was excessive - it kept me awake for an hour or so, perhaps better sound proofing would be good. However, it was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again if I was staying in the area.
The staff was absolutely wonderful - very friendly and helpful, and not homophobic! My partner and I felt very welcome, and we have already recommended it to both gay and straight friends.
We were upgraded to Honeymoon suite - which was lovely after 48 years of marriage!!!!
Excellent position with a very good bar facing the sea. The Italian menu in the was very good and the food was excellent.
I like the location of the hotel and thought the real fire in the lounges was a real treat loved them. Our room was very cold as the heating wasn't on and I think it could do with a bit of updating but other than that the room was a lovely size and also the bathroom too.
It was near the castle that we wanted to visit not enough staff,
Great situation, right beside Arundel castle / main street Bathroom poorly decorated / cheap fittings. Would expect better for 90 pounds / night
location in the middle of town on site parking
I thought it was very relaxing,I loved the decor, and sitting in front of the fire.I loved bieng in the centre of Arundel, didn`t have to walk far for anything.Loved it.
very friendly and comfortable, nice area. no
Lovely room and pleasant staff Nothing I didnt like but the food was only average
Noise from basement disco No lift
Excellent location..staff were lovely and very friendly..highly recommended! We loved it!breakfast was nice and hot..brilliant!!!! Wish we could have stayed longer..THANKS So much!
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel was right on Arundel high street which was great for us as we don't have a car and it was easy to access all the shops, restuarants and cafe's. The castle is a short wlak too although closed till April 20011!. For a short break it was great.
Quiet pleasant surroundings, hotel and staff. In Room 3, no paper tissues and TV could only find one channel
This is a wonderful hotel, great rooms and great service. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and some of the nicest and genuinely friendly hotel I have found (in the world!)The rooms are spacious and clean. The location is wonderful, especially for watching the lunar eclipse! All round 10/10! Leaving too soon!
The building is good, the rooms were a fair size and the water pressure was good. The service was poor other than a couple of the young women who were trying hard in poor circumstances. No toilet roll or soap in the room, net curtains had insect frass on them, wallpaper torn, furniture creaky, bed big enough but the mattress was incredibly uncomfortable. No pillow cases on the spare pillows and no spare blankets. The bar area was not clean and was plagued with fruit flies in November. The floors were not clean, the glasses were not polished, litter was left where it lay. The windows in the dining room were filthy. The decor was tired, though that could have been forgiven if everything else had been up together. The breakfast was poor, no choice other than full english or variations of and no brown sauce.
The relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and cosy rooms. The bed was not great; the mattress was not new I think and the springs were far too noticable..
Good view, picturesque and all that Breakfast doesn't start until 07:45, not much use for the business traveller
Good value food however some more attention could be paid to the cleanliness (which was not bad, just not perfect). Difficult to find reception on arrival (in the restaurant not the hotel entrance).
comfortable room and quiet hotel Major part of the restaurant menu was not available Carvery was disappointing
Easily located ... ample parking ... efficient reception and room allocation / check-out ... crisp and clean laundry ... good bedroom size - clean and tidy ... courteous and helpful service staff ... 'value for money' carvery ... quiet, uninterrupted nights sleep. 'Tired' and damaged decor throughout, badly in need of a make-over ... TV inoperable (lack of remote controls and freeview box power lead) despite managers assistance.
The carvery Late breakfast on Saturday morning
Quiet and relaxed atmosphere
staff were friendly - you got what you paid for. Great location for Brighton and surrounding areas Music was a tad loud although we were pre-warned about it before hand. They had live music from 7pm-11pm and then night club noise until about 2am!
The Victorian decor in the bar and the hotel Serious lack of light bulbs in the room. Poor service at breakfast including very weak and undrinkable coffee
The entertainment went on for too long into the early hours for room that weren't sound proofed
Good location for Beach House Park Bowling Greens Clean comfortable rooms No information for use of television sets
Staff are very friendly Hotel is very old
the staff were very helpful when we needed to find a restuarant. na
The location was most probably the best feature of the Hotel. Good central position and was easy for my meetings around the Worthing area. The room was not 100% clean, Karaoke was on until 11.30pm on a Monday evening when we had to rise at 6am - not ideal and especially when the staff didnt tell us!!! Parking was difficult and had to park down a dimly light alley way, again not ideal.
The breakfast and the bar and the price for drinks The toilet in room 8 was not flushing
rooms are poor
Huge bed! Bathroom needs updating, no BBC on TV
Friendly staff Musty hallway
friendliness of staff and other residents the shower
The location The bathroom, the restaurant food & service
served a good breakfast and receptionist was very helpfull. Right on the sea front and close to town. Room was damp and needed decorated. The windows are poorly fitting and the wind kept us awake the whole of one night despite trying to jamb something in the handle to keep the window closed. The shower is hopeless and barely gives a trickle of water. There was hair in the plug hole. The bed does not have a quilt/duvet but only has a very worn blanket.
Location and friendliness of staff. Hotel very tired, room and bed very old and to a poor standard. very limited food (do not eat there!), room very expensive for what it was.
the staff (ESp Michael and Maria) were outstanding Only that despite what seemed a reasonable tarriff we actually had to pay over £500 for two nights (3 people) so pretty expensive for a rather tired hotel. However staff and "atmosphere" excellent.
sea view room in need of redecoration
friendly staff, car park.good bar prices for area price of breakfast,so didn't have it
Value for money Very hot in the corridors
Came for a short break, Great Location, room and food was very nice. Breakfast good value. Staff very helpfull and friendly
Spacious room and comfy beds. Excellent breakfast Everything was very good - just wish I could have had dinner at the hotel but local relatives had this organised (at home)
Our stay was a very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The only comment I would make is that my sister was cold in her room - but fine once in bed! This, of course may be because we didn't arrive until late, perhaps after the heating had been turned off.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food in the pub bar was really excellent and good value.
Food and service were very good and nice log fires / atmosphere. I think the rooms could have been more inviting - we had to move from the first room as the bathroom was dreadful and the room very small.
Customer Service was very good. Staff were helpful.
Very happy with the accommodation as a whole, absolutely ideal for what we wanted, i.e. an overnight stay. We had a funeral to go to nearby in the afternoon and did not want to drive there and back from our home in one day. The breakfast was exellent, as indeed the snack the night before in the bar. Easy to find and the car parking was good.
We were very well looked after by the family running the B & B
We were very impressed with the friendlyness of the staff the cleanliness of the room. The cup of coffee on our arrival, and everything really.
friendly welcoming staff and lovely garden area, also the breakfast was exellant.
It was self contained,so allowed for privacy.Ensuite bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Hosts dogs allowed in dining room
Very relaxed friendly atmosphere with a good standard of room and facilities. The b and b is ideally situated for visits to Arundel, Goodwood and Chichester.
The B&B manager was wonderful, made everything perfect for us and we couldnt thank him enough. What a splendid host, thank you so much No
Privacy; excellent facilities including extras such as refreshments in the room.Good dog walking close to hand. No
beautiful hotel lovely room good food and really nice people
Fresh and clean and attractive No comfortable chairs
Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Clean and tidy with lovely garden Door to room did not lock. Shower cubicle very small
