Pros: We loved everything about woodpaddock. The hosts Dave and Denise were so genuine, friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure guests have a great stay. The whole place was spotless and the gardens are amazing. The bed was so comfy you didn't want to leave it but once you have tried the breakfast it gets a bit easier to do so, especially for the pancakes with fruit and maple syrup and full cooked ! For what you receive at the woodpaddock for the price of the stay, the value is outstanding. Do not hesitate to stay here.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely place with great character great bar and comfortable bedrooms
5.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good
Cons: Hotel on website is completely mis sold in terms of how it looks vs how the rooms really are and it is wildly over priced for a poky small dark room (single and double both very poor)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Room comfortable. Restaurant was also good and met our expectations.
Cons: Room was very good but there is a lack of power points near the bed. Reception didn’t seem as efficient as it could have been - training a new staff member? Not enough car parking for guests. I was asked if I wanted to book parking and replied yes - but there was no reserved parking and I had to park on street in an insecure area.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great steak in the bistro. Very good breakfast in the morning. The staff also accommodated my bicycle in their lock-up shed, which allowed me to relax knowing it was safe. I appreciated the quick response to my query about bicycle storage.
Cons: I slept poorly due to noisy neighbours. The walls were very thin and my neighbours decided to test the hairdryers at around 1am. Better soundproofing would help - but I accept that this is what you get in close proximity to others.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room comfort
Cons: Shower was ‘hand held’

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful room and very friendly staff. Unfortunately our wardrobes had a problem with the sliding doors which meant once we have removed the tea/coffee tray we struggled to move it back in order to hang clothes. Did report it on our arrival but too short staffed to deal with. Mentioned it again when we checked out. A fresh bottle of water in the room each day was a real bonus. We did not have any meals at the hotel due to visiting family down the road for a bit family function.
Cons: The window blinds let in too much light in the mornings. Perhaps a inner blind during the summer months. Also a little more help with the faulty wardrobe doors, they did check to see if we could use another room but all booked up so felt it was a bit 'tough luck'
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff were very accommodating, originally we was booked into a joining room and could hear everything going on next door, we notified the reception of this. They did everything they could and luckily they had another room available for us and it was an upgrade! Very happy with our stay.
Cons: The milk in the room for the tea and coffee was out of date, and the kettle needed a little clean, other than that a perfect stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Service was amazing - we arrived at 2am and a personalised note on the window advised number to call and waiting time. Food outstanding, as was the coffee, and everyone was so helpfull. My washing was even folded and returned to my bag!
Cons: It couldn’t have been better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was very tasty and served promptly. Room was just right for our needs and the bathroom had everything required.
Cons: N/A

Pros: The breakfast was best I've had for a long time .. sugar at the cereal dispensers !.. never seen before always a pain .. bakeries, juice, cooked breakfast a Tea ALL exactly how I like it. Lovely sprawling old property - staff really nice and helpful and not up there own...
Cons: Not sure if part of the property but the woodland restaurant (or what ever it was called) was slightly poor experience.. we booked but on arrival given a long list of items not on menu (we could have been told at booking) .. I asked what was in the special 'Game Pie' - the waitress had to consult the kitchen which is acceptable, she return after some while to say the chefs didn't know and it didn't say on the packet !.. daughters soup needed re heating and had a hair in .. to be fair when the food came it was quite tasty.. just didn't get off to a good start and these days with allergic reactions in the headline someone should know the ingredients of all food being served.

8.5 Excellent
Pros: Central village location so close to all shops etc.... Really really friendly and accommodating staff, hats off to them! Private car park. Big portions of afternoon tea!
Cons: Only single glazing windows which let a little noise in. There was painting ongoing which I understand is unavoidable but there was still the off-putting smell. The rooms are getting a little bit dated so could do with a revamp soon to modernise them. Strange plug fittings (not standard UK 3 pin) near the bedside table so cannot charge your phone next to the bed. Only minor things so overall really happy with our stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Pleasant hotel in a nice location. Friendly staff and good facilities. Nice breakfast with good choices.

Pros: The Talbot Hotel always is great and that nice little town of Oundle is always worth a visit. The hotel is in the middle of town. Parking is easy right next behind the hotel.
Cons: If you have a room facing the inner court be aware that there are air con machines making noise and switching on and off all night long.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and location perfect to fit my travel arrangements
Cons: Difficult to immediately find somewhere to park. Location of the carpark isn't obvious
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location, style of property, garden and very nice staff.
Cons: Food mediocre. Rooms pretty but not enough storage. Nowhere to put toiletries or even toilet bags. Could be easily remedied.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great choice and excelent
Cons: Maybe not using plastic bottles? at the bedside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I'm a wheelchair user and often find accessible rooms are sometimes not fully suitable. I was pleasantly surprised. The room was large and well laid out. The bed was a perfect height for transferring from a wheelchair and very comfortable. The bathroom had a roll in shower/wet room and again was very large which hasn't always been the case in some older hotels I've stayed in. There was enough room so that the floor around the sink and toilet didn't even get wet/slippy! The staff were all lovely and attentive. The restaurant food was good and plentiful. I really couldn't fault anything. I will definitely book again if I am in the area!
Cons: I can't think of anything other than I was only staying just one night. I wish it has been more. Maybe next time!

Pros: Josh at reception was fantastic. Along with the lady ( apologies as I dont know her name). He explained about the local area and also was accommodating. Rooms are simple basic and do the job. When you are travelling for work, luxury rooms don't matter to me given it was just for a night.
Cons: N/A

Cons: Only, the fact that the room window was overlooked by private houses. Nothing can be done about that, but adequate curtains are fitted.

7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good and cooked exactly how we liked it. The Malay Chicken Curry, in the evening, was wonderful, the best I've eaten outside a speciality restaurant. The staff make this place, they are all so lovley.
Cons: Everything was fine. If I had to be picky it would be about the lack of toiletries for the price we paid to stay. We would have liked some conditioner and a shower cap. There was a shower gel unit in the shower and separate shampoo left for us though.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful food for both breakfast and evening meals. Very comfy bed. Ideal location for exploring the local area.
Cons: Nothing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent!
Cons: Room 4 hairdryer needs replacing with a 21st century type hairdryer. Wifi in that room also not great.

Pros: I stayed in the orchid room. The breakfast (especially the toast) was amazing, and I liked how the hosts let you get on with your own breakfast. The nearby garden was lovely. All in all was very tranquil and I will definitely be staying again in the future. Much better than I was expecting for the price!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place, the garden is lovely it's like a self catering chalet rather than a b and b with a microwave, fridge and even a washer, we were lucky enough to have fantastic weather so able to sit on the veranda. There's a lovely walk to the orchard which takes you past the residential alpacas. Most important to us is that dogs are welcome, overall a beautiful place
Cons: Going home
5.8 Okay
Pros: Room.was spotlessly clean with nice.white bedding. Breakfast was as promised with daily fresh bread.milk.orange juice. Good room for a couple.
Cons: Garden and driveway strewn with rotten apples which could poison our dog. Ponds need cleaning out .stagnant water even in greenhouse.parking area badly needs attention as well overgrown with weeds. Shona did not know nearest pub or eatery. Told at 9.55 that check out was 1000. Then walked away not bothering to ask if we enjoyed our stay or was every thing up to standard. We even had to take our dog disposable bags away with us for 2 days as not told until i saw Steve and asked him on 3rd day. Overall a disappointing experience when it reads so well Just needs outside to be tidied and weeding done plus ponds and stream sorting out. Lets it down very badly
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just perfect and my dogs welcomed and suitable places to walk them which was a bonus.
Cons: Directions for finding property could be improved. Adding directions from all sides rather than just from one side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, peaceful ,lovely walks for our dog Ollie Self contained similar to a gite, very cosy, outlook to gardens beautiful Hosts very nice Spotlessly clean Had a lovely meal at the Rising Sun in Leverington ,10 minute drive and it’s dog friendly
Cons: Can’t fault the premises or grounds
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean & tidy with beautiful gardens. Exceptional muesli! Steve & Shona were great hosts without being intrusive. Good shower with an endless supply of hot water.
Cons: The kitchen would benefit from a sink or dishwasher.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Shower was fine. Bed was comfortable.
Cons: We booked the Orchard cottage but were moved into another cottage with a terrible view of dead trees and an ignored pond. Breakfast was poor: we expected continental but we only got some milk, kids cornflakes, 4 slices of bread and jam. With a little more effort, like adding yoghurt, cereals or granola, some cheese, the breakfast would have been fine. Dates for all biscuits were expired and tasted like it! Two of the nearby restaurants that were recommended in the booklet were closed 4 years ago! Not good value for the money, either upgrade services or reduce the price.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly. Beautiful garden. Barley the dog is just lovely, we were actively encouraged to pick and take home free fruit. A real beautiful little haven.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and lovely setting.

Pros: The bed was 2 singles pushed together, I find this really uncomfortable when staying in a hotel and purposely booked a larger room than a double so we had a big bed .
