does not really deliver the value for money that similar hotel chains offer
Pleasant friendly reception staff. Bed was comfortable given the price paid for room. Food ok for the price and parking on site. Free wifi. Does its job for a one night stop over. Bathroom had a lingering odour. Room quite stuffy.
Clean, cheap and cheerfull Aircon was not very efficient, car park was not securred;
Its sitaution near the autoroute and Troyes city centre In common with other Campanile Hotels I have stayed in, our rooms were in urgent need of refurbishment.
Easy access from motorway. It's not deluxe but it is clean & friendly. None really.
Leaving Massively over priced "shoe box sized" rooms. Some very rude and unhelpful staff. Restaurant service appalling.
Plenty of bathroom space. Nice restaurant. Very friendly young man on Reception. None
Good, clean bathroom and comfortable bed.
Clean Tidy and functional Nothing
peace and quiet
Friendly welcome, excellent service at dinner, great food, good breakfast and attentive staff Bed was a bit hard!
We were greeted warmly, & shown to our room which was newly decorated & comfortable. Dinner was excellent, but the wine was rather expensive. Breakfast good. We thought the hotel was good value.
Very enjoyable - excellent food and good service. Relaxing stay in quiet farming country - would stay here again. None that we could think of
The quiet location and the friendliness of the staff made the stay very relaxing If I was staying in the summer I would want to have a fridge in the room
The silency, the space, the friendlyness of the waitors/waitresses, the food and the service the lack of parking
excellent food, and the rooms were clean and well maintained basic facilities in the rooms ie no fridge. We did not check the bill before leaving and were charged for a supposedly included breakfast.
There had been attention to detail in the refurbishment and it has an inviting and pleasant feel to the hotel It was a little cramped and there was a lack of closet space
Shower in the room we were allocated was simply a drip and anyone with a full head of hair would have been unable to wash/rinse it
the staff were friendly and the food was excellent. the hotel layout is very good. our room was a good size with plenty of room for 2 double beds which was ample for our family of 3. no we were fully satisfied
The staff made every effort to help us with any language problems and were always helpful Lack of draw space and shelves in the wardrobe for people staying longer than a weekend
Pleasant owner I chose monkfish - just this side of rubbery served with brussel sprouts and slivers of red pepper - bizarre concoction. Citron sauce bitter. I have eaten all over Europe in last 6 months and this was second worst meal altho it claimed to be a restaurant gastronomique. I felt queasy for days after Room shabby -needed a thorough overhaul. Bathroom very shabby. I always use Active hotels and this was not up to the standard I have come to expect.
Location, excellent bed, kindness, restaurant, atmosphere. Bathrooms need some refurbishing
The hotel was beautiful and the staff were professional and the food outstanding!
The hotel was delightfully situated and the rooms comfortable. The dinner was excellent and good value for money. The manageress is English, which may be a put-off for those wanting the full French experience, but was charming and helpful. Only one thing: the shower, which was over the bath, was one of the hand-held variety and, without a shower curtain, this means that water gets sprayed everywhere. We would have preferred a wall-mounted shower with a shower curtain. It's a minor point, though.
we sleep well and have a excelent dinner and breakfast
The decor of the room was very pleasing with good quality furnishings. It is also good to have your own private door straight into your room from outside in the grounds of the hotel. It was October but the central heating was not on. We did have an oil heater in the room but it didn't feel enough. The room felt cold and damp and the bathroon just ran with condensation. We were booked in for several days but only stayed for one.The hotel grounds looked neglected.
The evening meal choice for out of season on a Monday was the best we have ever had at a Logis-- we still talk about the meal to friends --the wine choice was excellent value and the owner was passionate about further regeneration of the sawmill -- such a great cost The rooms are in need of some tlc but the owner will get there with great cost investment -- but the evening meal is the high point
Lovely welcome. Superb food. Friendly & helpful staff No shower in bathroom. Some modernisation of room/bathroom would be good.
Whilst en route for the south of France, this was a wonderful find for an overnight stop and just over 4 hours driving south of Calais. We were given a very warm welcome, the room was entirely satisfactory, the beds more comfortable than many and the food was excellent. The hotel possibly needs a bit of care to the external decor but, overall, we were thrilled with our find and strongly recommend it.
Cleanliness, attentive staff, quiet, comfort. Excellent restaurant next door.
Efficient and friendly atmosphere. Car park spacious and secure. Nothing caused us a problem.
The hotel was a clean, friendly environment. The breakfast was also good, with a variety of choices. The room was quite small and because we had a cot in our room it made the room even smaller but it did what we wanted it to do, which was give us a clean, friendly place to stay for a night.
Friendly staff - willingness to accommodate our need for early breakfast plus choice at breakfast time The rooms were looking a bit old and tired and my daughter's room had a cracked sink and a tile missing in the bathroom
Ease of access to hotel from roads to Troyes, and access to and from room (hotel all on one level)
The welcome by the manageress , her willingness to arrange dinner for us, and the comfort of the room as an overnight stop
Friendly staff and good breakfast Small rooms
Although basic the accommodation was clean and acceptable. There was no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room.
Its proximity to the motorway They had no knowledge of my booking - but accepted my booking ref and alloated me aroom
Rooms could be a larger
Clean and good overnight stay while travelling from Calais to Switzerland
The hotel was easy to find. It is a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for. Don't expect luxury but fine for a stopover. Ideal place to visit the shopping outlets. Free easy access wi fi in all rooms. It is on the outskirts of the town and backs onto open countryside. If you want to pay more and have a bit better room there is a Campanile in the same compound. There is a restaurant in the Campanile (but see negative comments) but no others within walking distance. Food ok. Premier Class advertise there is a 15% discount at Campanile Restaurants. It must say in the small print "at participating restaurants". The one here does not offer the discount but the prices are reasonable anyway.
I am not convinvinced that the sheets on the bed had been changed before our stay! We stayed in room 52 on the nigh of 20th Feb
Easy to find. Lovely staff!! Very small room and nowhere to get any food in the evening.
convenient, basic and cheap. Drain not great on the shower in one room
site of room very quiet, but was spoiled by being able to hear neighbours coming and going from next door room during early hours of the morning. room walls too thin
Absolutely fine for an overnight stay. We called to say we'd be arriving later and the receptionist was delightful, when we arrived the night receptionist was also a joy. A little bit off the beaten track, little difficult to find at night, but it was fine all in all.
This is a great place for a stop-over. The room was basic but fine for one night. Everything was in good order. The parkland setting was a bonus, especially the exercise equipment ouside. Very nice after a drive. Breakfast was basic but at €4.80 for all you could eat we're not complaining. Indeed I found some others' comments puzzling. "Difficult to find"-no it wasn't. "Staff don't speak English"-so what, it's a cheap French hotel. Learn a few words and bring a phrase book! "There's no restaurant"- but the Campanile was available next door. Some guests were noisy and the soundproofing wasn't perfect, but again for the budget that's not too bad.
It had a great area for children activity area. Very important for travelling families. The wc does smell abit but everything was fine and good value for money. The restaurant next door was bad though.
Indoor swimming pool and sauna. very poor room access and awful smell
The friendly welcome and excellent breakfast with a very secure car park. Tea and coffee facilities, a rarity in a French hotel.
Easy to find, very well placed for travelling through France. Good cleean and very good value.
The room was very comfortable, and room service was very good. And, more important thing, in the tv we can watch hungarian program! Nothing.
friendly staff, excellent restaurant, comfortable clean rooms, good value
Good price for an overnight stop travelling through France. No wifi - had just broken! Decoration of room was very dated and dowdy and the bed very saggy.
Clean and tidy Background city noise
A very friendly motel which allowed our dog to accompany us. Also a very good choice and range of meals in the Restaurent Our Satnav took us straight to the hotel, but without it , the hotel may be hard to find.
Good room and breakfast They had not received out online booking - we were lucky to get a room
We booked this hotel because it had a restaurant. When we arrived we were told no we couldn't use the restaurant as it was being used by a group. We feel this should have been made clear when we booked. We ended up having to walk over 2 miles to get a meal.
