Clean rooms and location The breakfast, no channels on tv
We've stayed here a few times and it's always great! The location is perfect. It's walking distance to the gondola for heavenly, stores, food, movie theater etc. the staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and gave a fridge and microwave. The beds are comfortable and there is wifi. Can't beat the price! The hot tub wasn't hot enough.
The room was clean and had everything we needed while staying in Tahoe. Staff was friendly too.
First time in Tahoe, Went with the cheapest place my guy and i could find, But turns out: great value for location. We walked to the beach and to the shops/lifts and casinos. Staff was very friendly. Had both a regular king and also a suite with fireplace and jacuzzi (also for a good deal). Unless you're just super picky about not having somewhat dated decor or your breakfast, I wouldn't stay anywhere else for a higher price. What you read about the basic breakfast is true, but the rooms come with a fridge. To improve: Getting a toaster for some bagels/breads would be nice to carb up for a day on the slopes.
Hotel locality is great, easily accessible to most of the market places. Staffs are helpful in providing tourist spots information.. Break fast would have been better with little extra options and cafeteria area was too small to accommodate guest from different rooms
Right by everything. Room was clean and staff was friendly. We'd defiantly go back!
My SIL were so impressed with this place. We thought for the cheap price we were going to be staying in something gross and run down but this was quite opposite. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is amazing, and we had no idea how close they were to down town and the lake. We walked to both places with small children. We would definitely stay her again. Had a wonderful time.
The location is just 5-min walk from the Heavenly Gondola. Price is good. Breakfast was ok. Donuts, coffee, tea, banana, and apple. *the apple was just a little bit sour. Internet was ok. I was disappointed by the room service. On the day when I went to Heavenly gondola, the maid didn't clean my room. I was frustrated at that time since I expected to have a clean room after having tiring activities on top. Microwave is too small. Can't warm food with a big box.
1. Curteous and helpful front desk lady. 2. Tasrefly furnished. 3. Everything was working. Please pay attention to actual comfort not just looks of the unit. 1. Very loud heater - it was louder than gale force wind. 2. Untouchably very rough duvet cover and rough sheets. Thought about sleeping on the leather sofa. 3. Shower curtain and 2 pillows had unpleasant smell. 3. Pillows and cushiins were too heavy and bulky.
pet friendly, rooms and linens are clean and great location very high price for very cheap quality
Proximity to center hub of food, grocery and walking distance to lake and pet friendly. New upgrades inside and out ensure I will continue to stay here for my yearly visit. Nothing.
Short walk to Heavenly's gondola and the folks are friendly. However, the maintenance is lacking and the buildings/amenities are dated. Breakfast is fruit, donut, and coffee; wifi is minimally useful. Hot tub was nice after a day on the slopes. Good for the price.
Nothing Room is old, a lot of shady loud people that live out of rooms, the fireplace was broken worst decision I have made!
The staff was extremely friendly. For the price Charged, the room could have been a bit cleaner. It smelled like stale ciggarettes (non-smoking room). The bathroom was far from clean.
I did love the location. It was far enough away from the streets so you won't hear cars but close enough to walk to any place in walking distance. I loved how cute the green buildings were, just made them feel homely. Clean, beds were comfortable. Quiet. Staff very friendly. Water pressure was good. Loved the mini fridge came in handy with left overs. Great overall stay.:) When we got there, there were no towels in the bathroom. When we called the front desk and asked for towels they never came until we had problems with the TV. ( cord on tv gets loose and you have to unplug it to turn it on again). Shower had worn out spots on the floor. Furniture was randomly placed. TV cords were everywhere. Not enough outlets to plug in phones, computers, etc.
The rooms were large and clean with a lot of natural light, the beds were comfortable, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Great location by the Heavenly gondola. Everything worked; it was a cold weekend with lots of snow but the heater kept us plenty warm. They provide snacks in the room for fairly reasonable prices, which was a nice touch. The walls are thin, so sound carries. Our room had an adjoining room next door and we could hear a lot of music and talking through the doors that separate the rooms. Fortunately, any loud noise seemed to stop fairly early in the evening, so it didn't affect our sleep at all.
Great location, cheap price A little run down, but clean
Budget hotel, good location Hear people walking above - very shaky. Lot of people smoking outside. The room was old and dusty. Blanket was of low quality.
Clean quiet room had frig and microwave, nice and comfy.bedspread was the only negative. Pool looked not so inviting
Location was great! Close to the lake and shopping center! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The nightstand and tables weren't cleaned. The fridge was dirty and it wasn't cold. Continental breakfast was a joke. We went the 1st day and that was the last of that. We'll be staying elsewhere.
The rate we paid was great. The room was a good size, clean enough and with a comfortable bed. They had a continental breakfast in the morning which was not bad. Staff was attentive and well trained. Nothing.
Great location fair price comfy beds. Great Taco place down the street walking distance to Lake casinos and shopping. Nice staff Needs updating. Toilet was wayy to weak. Scratches and scuffs all over walls. Wall ac didn't work too well. Generally just needs some love and refurbishing could be really great
great location and great breakfast (specially granola - very good) they didn't change towels or checked if more toilet paper was needed during room daily cleaning.
I loved how we could walk to the shopping and restaurants. We were able to walk to a hiking trail as well! We couldn't figure out how to get the heater to turn off or the AC to turn on. It was pretty warm in the room.
Free bike rentals was awesome. Toiletries included Advil and toothpaste. Themed rooms are a nice touch. Microwave, mini-fridge, and Keurig were convenient. Great deal for being so close to everything.
Such a cute little place! Great location, friendly & helpful staff. Easiest reservation/check in/check out ever!
Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Located within walking distance to the shore. Nice that they provide bicycles to use. Free internet. Room was a bit dark for my taste.
The staff was great, the room was modest but comfortable, and the location is great. A good price makes it a no-brainer!
At first glance, the hotel seems like a regular two star hotel, but when I saw the beautifully decorated, updated rooms and met the wonderful owners, Bill and Debbie, it easily elevated the 7 Seas to four stars. The breakfast that was included with our stay was fabulous! Bill was such a gracious host and made the most delicious waffles I've ever had--I normally don't even eat waffles. Debbie has the skills to be an interior decorator by the way she furnished the rooms. The wood shelf in the bathroom was both functional and absolutely gorgeous! My only regret was that we missed the happy hour because we had to go to a wedding. We'll definitely go back when we have more time to enjoy the place.
Location for a summer visit to SLT One star accommodations, old motor inn.
Very friendly staff. Excellent location. You can walk to Heavenly Village, the casinos, and the beach. The included breakfast was very good, something for everyone. My wife got the recipe for the breakfast casserole. Also the evening happy hour was nice. We checked in during happy hour after a long drive and it was refreshing to have a snack with an adult beverage. The room/bath had been remodeled and looked nice. I would definitely stay here again.
The helpful staff and the breakfast The eiderdown on the bed wasn't clean/fresh.
Hotel was not much to look at, but it was clean and a terrific value for the money. We had some wine, which we started drinking at an outdoor table, and the owners came along and gave us a platter of cheese, bread, and crackers. Of course, we invited them to join us, which they did. Very nice people.A few blocks from the beach, for which the hotel has passes.
Incredibly cheap, nice helpful staff, good location (if a bit noisy, located on the main highway) - not at all fancy, but good enough for the price.
Rooms near main road very noisy. Ask for updated rooms. Hotel owners are very nice and helpful.
The price was right
The value for money, given the location. The TV did not have a remote.
Very nice and helpful crew. Clean rooms/comfy beds. Affordable. Great location. I'm a basic guy. I don't need a lot of amenities. I found it to be perfect for me.
Staff pretty much left me alone and let me do my thing, and the room was comfortable enough.
The kindness of the staff and the price. My wife also liked the old fashioned wall heater. I can' think of anything.
The only thing that we found missing was the lack of coffee machine.
It's a nice inn. The lady at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. They recently replaced the carpet and beds so it was clean during our stay. This place is great if you don't care about the frivolous aspects of staying in a hotel/inn like a pool/continental breakfast/room service. The room I had was a spacious king and they offer free wifi and tv. It's close to some resturants, cafes, and grocery stores so the location is pretty nice. All in all, if you just need a nice place to sleep, it's a great choice for value. Otherwise, you might as well pay more for some other place. Showers are small, but then again...people are way bigger nowadays compared to when this inn was built (1950s) It's on Lake Tahoe Blvd, so you wake up earlier than you want from the traffic noise...but that's also expected if you look at a map.
Highland Inn was clean, comfortable and conveniently situated near Heavenly Resort and the Casinos. The room looked recently renovated with a fridge, tv, and new bed/bedding. Still a motel atmosphere. There were a lot of people in and out of the lobby area that did not seem to be staying at the motel.
Auto heat/AC. Very clean and modern looking. No hair dryer. Pricey but all of So Lake Tahoe and Stateline is pricey.
The location was great and the day clerk was very helpful. He helped me with traffic advice and alternate routes to my destination. The room heater worked really well, which was nice! The phone did not work and my items would not stay plugged into the outlets. There was a power strip under the desk, but it was pretty full and hard to reach. I felt as though I was imposing when I asked for help at midnight to get the people upstairs to finally stop playing ball with their dog. The night clerk said he would call, but I never heard the phone, and it made no difference anyway. Lucky dog got to play for a few hours!
The room was very old, the smell of cigarettes was very strong, even though it was a non smoking room. There were at least 4 cigarrette stubs in the hallway next to our door. The towels were dirty with dark spots.
I do like the location, clean, bathroom was set up nicely. It was very noisy. when it rained it sounded like there was no insulation in roof could hear the rain just like my RV. no sound proofing in walls could hear everything from next door. gaps around the door. Very uncomfortable bed. stiff as a board.
cheap clean basic fairly large room ,friendly unitrusive staff very close to heavenly No real amenities but a clean budget room with decent beds and clean linens
Located To sort mattress. April 19-21/2016 Doesn't work jacuzzi.
Location was good. The towels had makeup stains on them, the room smelled, the pool was broken. It was a cheap hotel, and it showed.
near where i needed to be. cheap, no hot water for a shower, none.
wireless internet was too slow to be functional
Location was OK, but that's about all that was good about this place Office not open 24 hours. Parking lot fills up quickly, hard to find parking. Found trash in room. No coffee maker. NO SMOKE DETECTORS IN ROOM. Pull out sofa bed blocks only entrance to room when bed is pulled out.
near heavenly gandola attraction it was too expensive . for the price i pay there was coffee only from 7 to 9 am .. i mean who does that !!
Great for a place to sleep on short notice, and nice customer service. Our bathroom door didn't fit the door frame. So the door either didn't close or got stuck.
Nothing Pure scum. Filthy and STINKY room. Outdated. Smelled so bad that we checked out within 25 minutes.
Motel was beautifully decorated and clean. Beds were comfortable and our hostess was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again!!
The Paradice Motel is what I would consider a triple threat Bc not only is the location A+, but the staff goes above and beyond to be accommodating and the property/rooms are very clean which is always my main concern.
Everything was great we'll see there many times in the near future
I would prefer to have a coffee maker in the room rather than having to go to the front desk for coffee service.
The motel was clean and fairly quiet. I could hear traffic noise, but nothing from the adjoining rooms. For the price, the room was fine.
Yes, but it would take more than 15 words
great for price--basic and clean, good beds, good location, easy to find. plenty of room, perfect for just a quick overnight trip
Cheapest place in SLT. Conveniently located. Absolutely no amenities - no coffee maker in room, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, wi-fi was not free. But definitely ok as a crash pad after skiing!
They gave us keys to a room that had not been cleaned from prior customers. Walls in the bathroom had nasty stuff all over them, i'm not sure what it was. The room smelled and did not look clean at all. Hotel staff was very rude. People were hanging out in front of their hotel rooms drinking and partying all night and we did not get a good nights sleep.
Front Desk Staff very friendly Need some improvements on the amenities.
location, price, cleaness of the room was poor. no warm water at tap most of time
Honestly the only thing I enjoyed was, wait no I didn't enjoy this stay at all. Worst rooms I've ever been in. Stuffing was coming out of pillows, drool stains left on a case flipped inside out, and the towel rack in the bathroom kept falling off the wall. This was by far the worst experience I have had at a motel. Everything which says a lot because most things don't bother me.
Close to lake and casinos. Great shower Sink clogged, too close to road could hear traffic passing all night Poor tv and choice of stations very limited, wifi costs extra
The only good thing about the room was the cleanliness, it was way over priced, small, wifi is not free, and they didn't even have a full roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. I travel a lot and this was probably the worst hotel for the money spent
LocateLocation is great Everything else. Tv didn't even have an avc connection, brought my own player for nothing. Not even a little fridge and microwave? What the hell is it, 1987?!
Cheap and affordable. Literally right across from Heavenly Gondola, 5 minute walk to restaurants and casinos, 10 minute walk to beach. Manager was super helpful when I asked about Heavenly and other water activities. He gave me a bunch of brochures.. A lot of them had coupons inside. :) overall, it did its purpose. Provided my boyfriend and I with a bed to sleep on and a decent bathroom. We were outdoors most of the day and Tahoe was just a quick stopover during our road trip, didn't want to spend too much, so $60/2 nights was a great deal in my opinion. Not that I would use it anyway, but our room was right in front of the pool. It had chairs in it and was dirty, an eye sore. Nevertheless, it wasn't a big deal at all. Rooms and bathroom could be cleaner, but again, I'm not complaining.. For the location and price I got, I actually expected it to be worse than it really was.
Nothing at all Very dirty rooms, had ants and spiders in the bathroom. Carpets were dirty ony thing done by maid services is making beds. Not AC only a fan. And no one was ever in the office.
The management was very accommodating to us. The room was clean and a good deal for the price. There was no air conditioning in the room but there was an adequate fan.
Great location for the price. Very friendly staff and adorable, spacious room!
Quite, all day parking, easy check out, great walking distance to the gondola, very dark room, plenty of space. Overall i just need a place to sleep while i wasnt snowboarding and this did the job. Pillows and bedway too hard, shower was very tiny, as well as the curtain for it, remote only did volume and channel control, shower head was ancient found a hair in my bed but not that big of deal really,
The motel is right across the street from the ski resort which is very convenient! Dirty motel. Buy a fitted mattress sheet for the bed instead of using a plane sheet. Found dirty socks under the bed. Fix your your cable TV so it doesn't cut out every 15 sec. Overall, cheap place to stay but I probably wouldn't stay here again.
Dirty and disgusting. The room is dark. Show drain clogged. Won't recommended.
Great location, and great price!
Literally 1 minute walk to shops. First we got there and the staff tried to put us in a room where you could see t hr ought a hole in the door. The inside of the door had been repaired (horribly I might add). They ended up moving us. The pool hadn't been working in ages, nor the hot tub. Free breakfast was cereal that sits there all day. Who knows how old it is. The wifi is so slow it really is useless. No ac! We came back in the middle of the day and our door to our room was wide open. With no one around with our stuff up for grabs for whoever dared. They told us this is common practice. We stood there for 5 minutes, still no maid in sight! Our door was the only one open! We prepaid our whole 6 night stay through kayak. When my husband went to return the key to the office she tried charging him $50 for not flushing the toilet one day (there plumbing was horrible. Had to flush 2 or 3 times each time!) The maid who seen the toilet apparently got sick and had to go home! So we had to pay her! Lol This place is such a joke!
Not worth the money Rooms outdated , no AC , mold in showers , no smoke detectors , doors don't lock properly , cramped toilet area
Room smelled like smoke. Bathroom needs remodeling.
After reading the reviews for this hotel I was unsure if I was going to enjoy my stay at the hacienda. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very gracious. The spa tub was very nice. Definitely worth the price. The hotel itself has a cabin type of appeal. It was a very comfortable stay.
Location is nice. Close to Heavenly and Safeway It says breakfast included but it was ONLY cheap donuts from Safeway! I chose this motel instead of others just because they had breakfast. Not even continental! This place must be forbidden to advertise as breakfast included.
Owner was very nice and accommodating. Fridge and micro. Larger rooms. Property is dated and needs some renovation.
Front desk staff was nice, good location, quiet, ac worked well First room smelled strongly of urine. Asked for a different room, was given one without question. That room was better, but still an odor. Everything is run down and dirty. Cobwebs in bathroom.
Park your VEHICLE..you will not need it ..while you are staying here !!! Staying a Budget Inn on South Lake Tahoe was great! I could walk out my door and walk straight to the water within 2 minutes my feet where wet! The pool is clean and heated..for cool nights! The air works greart and the bed was comfortable for a good night sleep. I rented a bike just a minute away and rode all over, Great location in the middle of town. Fantastic coffee and sandwich shop, cvs, Rent water or ski gear, all is across the street. Italian, sushi, burgers, waffles, every type of food is wking distance. I caught the nifty 50 Trolly and went to the casinos a few times, took about 5ish minutes!
Easy to find, helpful hotel staff, clean spacious rooms, good bang for your buck! The pool was empty :(
Location was excellent, very quiet in the evening with clean rooms good option for the money. You can hear street traffic in the morning not good for a light sleeper no worries if your a heavy sleeper.
Staff was super helpful and responsive at night
The room was clean; the office staff was nice and courteous; air conditioning worked very good. i read previous review after i booked and was horrified. However, either the hotel changed drastically or some people don't know what a bad motel is like. The other reviews were unfair i feel. could use better lighting in the room; in room coffee would also be nice since the office did not prepare the complimentary coffee as early as i awake
Stuff was very friendly. far from gondola
Enjoyed our stay; found it last minute during a ski trip we wanted to extend. Everything from the front desk service to the decor to the comfort of the beds was a cut above other places I've seen in South Lake Tahoe. The outside is the most dated part.
The staff was every friendly. The hotel was decent, it was definitely not the Marriott but we had 7people with us and during the new year all the hotels raise up the prices. The hotel was okay for a one night stay
Location - Great! Room quality - Good! Price - Fair! Bed comfort - No too good! :(
Good location. Nice small hotel for budget travel.
i didnt like one thing about the apex inn. the service was terrible, the rooms were way too small and they charged me extra for having a couple friends over at the room. overall very bad experience.
Clean, fridge, and easy access. You can hear every word from the televisions and people in the other rooms.
Great little spot away from Stateline. We wanted something closer to the beaches & with a more local feel, the Apex was it! Rooms are small but clean & have everything you need. Well definitely be back!
It was cheap Staff was rude, room smelled very old, no fan just a heater, bed was not comfortable.
Nothing everything we had are 1 year old with us we checked in to the room and first they put us behind the trash can so we got in the room and opened the drawer in the room and there were needle Caps so we dident even stay in the room
- Clean - Cheap - Good Location - Microwave/refrigerator in room - My room was at the back of the parking lot and was very quiet - Could hear next-door TV through wall (bring earplugs)
Great location for South Lake Tahoe. Less than a mile from the casinos and heavenly gondola. Short drive from Emerald Bay and Camp Richardson. Perfect for a weekend getaway on a budget. The rooms were covered in wood paneling so it felt like being in a little cabin and was very cozy. The TVs had a pretty limited channel selection. The WiFi was also a little slow.
The price was right and the buildings are old and a little bit shabby with zero landscapping, but my room was clean, very comfortable and lacked for nothing. Refrigerator, microwave, TV, plumbing--all were in good repair. The floor in room #8 is very bumpy and unevern. A little bit annoying, but it's well padded so I would say it's more of a distraction than a danger. Might cause trouble for someone with balance problems.
Nothing the place was disgusting. It was zero degrees outside and our heater stopped working as well as our water. We asked for a refund and they said no because it happens when you stay in Tahoe. I'm disputing hi now but recommend finding a different place that won't treat you like an animal in the dead of winter when you wake up at 6am seeing your own breathe and shivering.
good enough for the money. no frills, but for staying close to skiing without breaking the bank, it gets the job done.
The staff was polite and curteous, they accommodated my pet even though they didn't have to. The room wasn't anything special but it was nice and cozy, it had its own heater, refrigerator and microwave. The location was great, a couple blocks away from Safeway and Ihop and about 1 1/2 miles away from Heavenly. Good hotel if you're budget conscious. The carpet was damp (most likely from a problem in the foundation as there were minor lumps in the flooring under the carpet). The walls were very thin, we could hear people in the room across the hall from us talking clear as day and the room above us had loud squeaky floors in certain places but overall good little hotel for the weekend if you're on a budget.
The cozy room with the sana
The room was pretty much as expected: clean, warm and featuring all the amenities listed on their website. The staff was friendly and efficient. It's located right in the center of South Lake Tahoe with easy access to plenty of local restaurants, casinos and hiking spots and is extremely convenient. Most of our destinations were within a mile of the motel. My only complaint is that some of the bath towels had light stains on them. They were obviously clean and had been washed but it was still a little off-putting considering the quality of the rest of the room.
For a cheap one night stay, this place was perfect. Close to everything in Tahoe, easy to get in and out. Like other reviews have mentioned, the place looks like it was last renovated in the early 80s and it isn't particularly clean, so I wouldn't recommend it if that matters to you
Small dirty, poor lighting no amenities tiny shower I can believe I paid $170 for a night at this room. Terrible.
Location. Walking distance to casinos and the beaches at Tahoe. Small room, run down overall. For the money spent ($130 a night), a very poor value for the money. I know it's high season in Tahoe, so rooms are expensive and at $130 a night, compared to rates at other motels near by, this was less expensive, but I got the feeling that because of the location, the owners here don't have to work very hard to sell out. It shows.
