Location and the price was nice. it's like a cozy little family owned country hotel. They even delivered our luggage to the train station. nothing particular.
room and service I like all. It is a good hoitel
The Staff application to the festive promotion was excellent, staff were very committed and produced an excellent service overall The parking arrangements were a not flexible enough, the staff could have applied themselves to 'working' in the stadt parking (P2) area, opposite the hotel, a little better due to the relaxed Christmas rules and regualtions - thereby saving many guests the extra driving up the ice/snow bound hill onto a poorly surfaced parking extension area.
comfortable till now,, No
Restaurant was very nice and clean, and breakfast was very good. The economy room we booked was not in the hotel but located down the block about 200 yards away. The room was very clean but also very small. The bed consisted of two single mattresses placed together in a single wooden frame and every time you moved it made a lot of noise (like a very squeaky floor). There was no internet in the room. There was one computer terminal in the main hotel that was available for free in the daytime/early evening only.
The breakfast and the bathroom.
Nice country atmosphere and friendly staff
Good location for sightseeing, friendly staffs, very nice breakfast!! Room was also cute (separated guest house). Door lock at room was sometimes not working when locking by key from outside. No clicking feeling of the lock, just feel like key was slipping in the lock. Better to fix it. I will tell the room# if necessary.
Very nice food/dinner and good view at Hotel restaurant. Room temperature was too hot and could not adjust it by my self
Surroundings are magnificant, hotel have great atmosphere, the "wine- lady" was more than excellent. The train almost running through your room every 10 minutes, the old man at the restaurant was ironic beyond friendly, the food was ok but very German.
Courtesy of staff, style of rooms, riverside location, breakfast overlooking the Rhine, opportunity to walk though the vineyards on Hoellenberg the poor mark for comfort reflects dim bedside lights - so dim as to make reading in bed impossible. I did draw this to the attention of the hotel on check-out
The building. The sumptuous furnishings. The decor. The rooms. The food. The dining experience. The breakfast. The dining room staff. The price. The free parking behind hotel. The collection of historic photos on the walls. The reception staff. No help with luggage. Not told of the elevator. Not shown room. I have already written re these points to the hotel but they did not detract from the enjoyable stay. Smoking is allowed in the semi enclosed terrace, thereby denying it to non-smokers. When I ticked the "excellent" for staff, I was specifically referring to the dining room. Very noisy railway is only forty yards away.
Close proximity to River Tours Train noise at all hours of the night was like staying next to an Airport.
The hotel staff was very kind. We arrive late when the kitchen was closing but they could offer us some salads and fish. The environment is nice and the decoration classic with old furniture.
Being offered a better room than first reserved for us. Good service staff prepared with information on the time tables of everything moving and the "weinguts" in the area. The towels had a sour smell - perhaps they were folded before entirely dry?
Traveled in Europe for 21 days, this was the best Hotel that we stayed in. The staff was beyond excellent, I would say Perfect! The suite was incredible. The Chef in the restaurant was a Master, the best dining experience we had on the trip. The wait staff in the restaurant was excellent. a very special thanks to Herr Boris, we arrived a day before our reservation and he found a way to let us stay that extra day. If we didnt have plane reservations already we would have stayed several more days. One final note The view of the Rhine river from our balcony was beyond description, I kept telling my wife, "Its good to be a King!" When we go back to Germany we will be staying here again. Not one thing. People made comments about the trains, well its like that at 90% of the hotels along the Rhine. My suggestion is to travel with a sound machine, we do and we slept like babies.
We were delighted with your historic hotel.... our room was beautiful and well appointed. Our meal in your restaurant was world-class gourmet... truly a culinary experience of the highest quality. The cleanliness of the room could be improved.... stained carpet and abundant spider webs inside the top windows.... not up to the standard of a hotel of your quality.
Amazing rooms!!! Great value for money. The breakfast buffet was rather poor. though the staff ready to offer better range on request
Breakfast was very good, staff very friendly and welcoming Nothing
Breakfast is good. There is a lift in the hotel. Room is quite at night. Good recommendation by the staff for a restaurant for dinner. The room has no view. There are stairs in the room to the toilet. No staff around between 7pm to 7am.
Excellent hotel. Clean, modern and comfortable. The room was a little on the small side but very comfortable.
Food was good + central location
Parking, centrally located and good breakfast Bathroom old
personal atmosfere and quiet at night
The excellent reception both by the owners (I think so) and empoyées; the breakfast service was very good too. I have nothing to mention against this hotel.
Position of hotel good and central. Clean rooms and breakfast reasonable. Rooms small and thought very expensive for service received. No one on reception after 6pm.
The people and service - so friendly and helpful. The place - everything so nice and clean. no tea making facilities (as in most German hotels..)
location the wiev from our window in the room
This is actually restaurent. It is difficult to call it "Hotel"
The location was great and the staff very nice. No
Charming building and surroundings.
The hotel staff were very friendly and made us welcome. The atmosphere was lively and typical of the area.
The staff was very friendly and really tried their best. Great breakfast. It was a interesting hotel with strange sounds during the night. Woke up of knockings and pounds in the wall, couldnt really localize the sound. It wasnt natural. If you like a strange village with strange things happening and strange people, this is the place for you! My best memory of a long trip! The room planning was okay, but strange. Our superior room was not superior, it was very small. Strange poundings and knockings in the wall and floor in the middle of the night. The free parking was only free a few hours during the night. The free internet was only free when mentioning I read it on the booking site.
The people were friendly and the room was warm, if a bit basic. The dinner menu in their restaurant for the evening was very restricted, though well cooked. A wider selection would have been nice. The typically German-style breakfast selection was good and well prepared. The narrowish menu
Great area The room needed to be cleaned and the area behind the hotel was very messy, this is what we looked out onto from our room.
Super breakfast, relaxing environment away from the city (yet close enough to get into town by a short taxi ride). Was not impressed with the cleanliness considering the prices charged. Perhaps it was supposed to be part of the rustic hunting lodge-type charm of the facility.
I arrived at 10pm but they kept the restaurant open for me.
Friendly restaurant staff, dressing gowns in the room, swimming pool, secure parking
Very comfortable rooms and extremely friendly staff
Staff were helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and the hotel setting beautiful and peaceful
Excellent country location for walking/chilling out. The bedroom was quite dark and some colour would help to brighten up the room- we were located in the house in the garden.
Away from the crowded
I like to have rich Breakfast and better room.
Room, Grounds and Dining no
Location of the ex hunting lodge is great for a get away, in the hills, near the forests. We liked the chairlift down to the Rhine, rooms clean and comfy. Plenty of free parking on site, car would be essential here. Restaurant was excellent, dinner great and breakfast was one of the biggest food spreads I'd seen. Nothing, all great.
staff was very helpful; good location for christmas market
The room was a good size, extremely clean and warm and the bathroom had a good hot shower. Also the location was perfect for our stay.
The restaurant was excellent. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. At check out they helped me use their computer to access online checkin and print my boarding passes for Lufthansa. This was very helpful and more secure than using the internet cafe around the corner. We booked a balcony room which did give us an outside room and a view of the Rhine but the outside room was also street noisy and I would probably avoid this in future. There was also a lot of elevator and water flushing noise in this room due to it being on the first floor.
Good location. Lots of clean towels. No shower curtains.
it was easy walking distance from the KD Rhein Dock, almost mid town, 3 small blocks from the Famous DrosselGasse street.
Very quiet, far enough from the train line that cross the whole town. Good located, good breakfast and very nice staff. I do recommend this hotel and intend to come back in the next vacation.
We liked the location - very central and close to the Rhine cruises. Easy to walk into the small town.Comfortable room and easy parking in their car park.A good place to explore the Rhine. Great transport links if you need them.Friendly people as well. The trains run all night so it was great to be a little way away from the river to avoid being disturbed by the noise. You can easily spend a day in Rudesheim, but then there are lots of other places round about to visit. The Rhine cruises are very good if you like that sort of thing. A very beatiful area of Germany with many excellent castles to explore. The local wine is also worth the trip as it isn't that easy to find in other places. It wasn't worth paying extra for the balcony - too small and just a view of a street. Some of the breakfast food wasn't very fresh (to be precise, the orange juice had gone off and the scrambled agg tasted of fish, but perhaps we were just unlucky and I am sure the hotelier would have put this right had we had the time to discuss this at the time, but we had a Rhine cruise nto catch). The area seems to be catering for/attracting mostly older people - not many young people in the area, but this didn't bother us.
very nice breakfast, excellent location in center of city...located one block from trains....critical during hot weather when the windows are open...hotels located facing the train line (along the Rhine river) are very noisy
Very Friendly Staff,very helpfull.
Excellent food The parking facilities
Good location in the centre of small and pretty town near Rein, comparatively quiet, it takes only a few minutes to walk on the surrounding hills and see the marvellous scenaries of Rein valley and the castles. It takes approx 40 minutes walk to get to Niederwalddenkmal (a monument located in the Niederwald Landscape parkwas constructed to commemorate the foundation of the German Empire after the end of Franco-Prussian War). there should probably be more various choice of dishes for breakfast
their hospitality, they were very helpfull and really friendly, the food was good, we were only bed and breakfast but had a couple of meals there at night and they were very nice....
My room was about 15 metres from railway
I liked the fact I was left to do my own thing, but the staff was always there if I needed them. The rooms were basic, but comfortable. I would have liked to been able to make coffee and tea in my room..
For six person in an apartment it was very spacious, very practical for many persons The lady in the reception was slightly confused and did not know where we should stay even though the booking was three months in advance
my room overlooked a vineyard, castle and Rhein River. Yes, Booking.com quoted me 25 Euros/night and when I got to the hotel, they charged me 30 Euros/night. It was only 5 Euros more, but what bothered me was the misunderstanding between the hotel and Booking.com.
Located in a the lovely village of Assmannshausen. Traditional German hostelry and full of character. The annex is some way away from the hotel itself and is directly alongside a very busy railway line. Noise can be a problem. Very limited car parking.
Had to stay in an Annex and not in the mail hoterl
We stayed in the apartments and they were nice. The food at the main hotel was very good for dinner. The room was large and nice.
Absolutely nothing. The lack of a clean and proper bathroom was my major disappointment.
The hotel is situated in a quiet country area some two miles from Stromberg village and about eight miles from Bingen on Rhine. It was very quiet, though this may have been due to the fact that we visited outside school holiday times While the accomodation was fine it was situated a good ten minute walk from the dining room!.(this was not known to us prior to booking - we would have booked elsewhere had we known).
Went to the Rhine in Flames and Rudesheim
Quiet and relaxed, nice atmosphere
The resort was huge! The rooms were fantastic! The restaurant food was really nice and realy cheap, be warned, they really fill your plate!! Breakfast was nice, eggs and bacon cooked for you. Staff really nice, some even help you with your phrase book. Tennis court closed (disused), not very happy as i had been looking forward to a game. For anyone who requires a cup of tea or coffee in your room take a travel kettle, powdered milk etc (I'm guessing it may just be an English thing)
The space of the room The fan make to much noise and no mini-bar
Kindness of receptin and personell, value for money, good food, green sourrounding
On our arrival the desk clerk accompanied us out to our car, took our luggage up to our room and then parkd our car in the hotel parking lot. He then had us check out our room before we checked in. Everything was a-okay.
The restaurant was very good for evening meal with great ambiance. The breakfast was not restocked and there was poor choice for people who came after 9am.
very friendly and helpful staff, great room overlooking rhine, good breakfast and lovely hotel
The staff was soo nice and helpful. The rooms were really spacious and clean. The food at the restaurant was excellent, I especially liked the kurbiscremesuppe. This is typical of European hotels and restaurants, but it was just too hot in the public areas.
All hotel staff are ok.
This small old European Hotel, had it's charm overlooking the Rhine River. the staff was very friendly, spoke English and was helpful in planning some day trips. The food was excellant and the breakfasts were the best we had during our 18 day stay in Germany. The room was large, the bed was firm and the bathroom was excellant for this type of hotel.
Nice location with terras and view over the river. Free parking. Enthusiastic reception. Fair prices for heavy and plenty local food. Redecorated rooms in old fashion Hotel Air circulation was poor, by open (double glass) window noice of traffic, train and ships.
The location of the hotel is very good, although it took us a while to discover how to cross the Rhine. The staff were friendly and efficient. The welcome from Felix could not have been better. It was a pleasant, comfortable stay.
Marco was exceptionally helpful at the front desk. Hotel had a great location-room view of the river was excellent..
Classical hotel nicely located in a park with free access to thermal pool. In addition, there's a bathing house with sauna's next to the hotel. Breakfast is excellent and paid parking is in front of the hotel. Since I did not like the single room they gave me, I received a free upgrade to a double room. The hotel is not very new and that includes the rooms - has it's charm though. Wifi should be free in my opinion.
Spa facilities, restaurant, location.
Very relaxed feel to the hotel, open almost 24 hours, easy to come in and out, the staff were always there and very helpful, the location is central to everywhere but quiet Free internet access would be ideal
The place, the spa facilities, the view, the spacious room, the food, the reception, the proximity to the Baderhaus On the whole all was good
Magnificent location with gardens and riverside walks with vinyards above. Excellent hot and cold breakfast buffet. Exceptionally quick check-in and efficient reception. Poorly equipped bedroom: mean thin towels, no robes, no mini-bar or refridgerator, tiny uncomfortable pillows.
Very quiet hotel with wonderful location, thermal baths and good breakfast. There was no fridge or minibar in the room.
Breakfast We stayed next to dogs that barked for hours while the owners were out.Staff said there was nothing they could do.They said it wasn't there fault!I have a responsibility to pay the bill and they have a responsibility to give a relaxing atmosphere. They didn't keep their end of the bargain and offered no reduction as a way of saying sorry.I left a comment card and send an e-mail but no response!!
Comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. No
Good location, surrounded with river and the park which is nice for the kids to run around but wish there is a play ground in the park. nice walking path up to the vineyard. walking distance to the centre. Good buffet breakfast, free access to adjacent thermal bath. in hotel spa centre, clean and quiet room. There wasn't an outdoor/indoor play ground area for the kids. No free internet access.
Made very welcome even though we arrived late. Nice breakfast.
The hotel had taken note of my disability and provided a suitable room on ground level. The location was ireal for joining a trip on the Rhine without being in the bustle and noise of Bingen Smoke from that section of the diningroom for smokers came into the part we were in, The room my son occupied had a distinct smell of smoke, but this cleared after the windows were opened.
Good bed, big room, welcoming staff, excellent breakfast
Perfect hotel, very good location and also really good bedroom and service. It is a good choice to stay.
Quiet , fresh air and nice , friendly staff ...
The hotel was good value. The room was fine with a small but clean en-suite bathroom. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was nice and also good value.
Very nice environment, very good breakfast and very very good service!
Nice price and nice location. The reception persons are very nice and friendly, and they provided me a internet connecting device for in room access. no TV, no house keeping service after one day stay ( I only stay for two days)
The hotel is located in a small, non touristy part of the Rheingau Region. The hotel had all the amenities needed at a great price. It was quiet, even with the train station across the street. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The pillows were too soft.
Very freindly and helpful staff. Hotel has no lift. Menus are in german so could not understand them.
Non freandly service One single toliet to 20 rooms the walls were paper thin you could hear snoring 6 rooms away as clear as day.the photo for the hotel is very misleading you are not in a vine yard .the rail way station is at the back of the hotel the main b49 road is at the front of the hotel and as for parking thats another story.the beding was no more than a throw the bed was rock hard with no give at all.i am ex forces and had more confort sleeping in a field with sanitation supplied to accommodate for the persons on site.
I would expect a shared shower at least on the same floor. Your description and pictures on your website is indeed misleading.
It's OK as expected by everyone.
Very helpful with stay as well as hotel restaurant. We were able to hear chatter and activity outside our room quite a bit while there.
Nice staff, superb view for the restaurant. Great breakfast. The room is a little bit old.
Nice ambience, golf club just at the hotel, very relaxing swiming pool and sauna facilities
Very good Spa & Wellness and good kitchen.
The entrance and reception are very nice. You expect much more good things after that. Rooms and balcony needs renovation. It's a wunderful place but the interior is hopelessly outdated. Restaurant is very, very simple. Service is o.k. but not more than that. They need absolutely guidance from someone experienced.
Friendly, competent staff and sufficiently equipped rooms Noise from very often passing trains
View plus the person that checked us in was extremely helpful. He made sure that we were happy with our room before we accepted the room. I highly recommend the hotel and the service. Again, the gentleman that checked us in was extremely helpful. Wonderful views on both sides of the hotel.
This hotel is located in front of railway. Then, so noisy all the day.
Availability Railway line outside hotel
The trains are loud because they are right in front of the hotel.
+ Convenient location, spacious rooms. . - Room too hot during summer. "Free" offsite parking was 500m from hotel.
The hotel is very conveniently located, clean and pleasant, the breakfast was good, the service was excellent - the staff were very kind and helpful the noise from the passing trains but this goes with the location - the hotel cannot be blamed for it
Access to Rhine River and to the village's activities Rooms a little overheated. Car parking arrangements.rely upon parking attendant as little space is available..Awkward access from car park through narrow back stairs to foyer. We booked a double room but were given a twin single. However they fitted us in for a solo Saturday night.
Really good room, warm and comfortable bed. Very clean and modern facilities.
Location was perfect for both Rhine and Rail Station Busy night time rail activity ideal for train spotters beware
This is a charming, comfortable, typical German gasthaus-type hotel along the Rhein River in Assmanshausen (5 km from Ruedesheim). The room was large and very nice with a canopied bed, bath tub and shower, and typical German country furniture. The breakfast which was included was outstanding. We enjoyed this hotel very much. It was hard to find the reception area because there isn't a sign that indicates it. Parking is off the premises, but we didn't have any problem finding a free place to park....though we had a bit of a hike.
Location, pleasant bar for a meal and drink in the evening. Quite a lot of noise coming from hallway in the evening
Everything, lovely bedroom, clean airy nice bathroom and loo Nothing at all, it was lovely
As travelers we were delighted with the look of the place both inside and outside. Walking around the town and staying in the hotel gave us a real feeling of the area. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything we expected from the descriptions. Always be aware that most of the small villages in the countryside close for their mid afternoon breaks, so plan your meals accordingly
Lovely, excellent location and great restaurant Lack of airconditoning
Its situation.Comfort and Staff No
Well situated and friendly staff It is mainly aimed at elderly tourgroups
good view, large and comfortable room No door to the toilet
Great location and value! This is the place to stay in Rudesheim!
We had a lovely relaxing 1 night stay in Hotel Lindenwirt and enjoyed a lovely meal in the town. Lovely location with lots of shops.
As there was no pictures of the rooms available I was apprehensive, however to my delight everything was perfect! The hotel staff were super friendly, the room was amazing and the breakfast delicious! Althought we were in Rudesheim off-season; we had a lovely & romantic weekend. I highly recommend Hotel Lindenwirt.
Location, Facility...... There is great room for improvement on the response for the inquiry from customers. I e-mailed the hotel to inquire the walking direction from the train station to the hotel as I arrived very late. I emailed several times and fianlly made phone calls for three times one day before my departure. They agreed to reply to me but I never received any response.
Difficult to get a better location in Rudesheim, food not very good, breakfast not international, nobody spoke to you at breakfast, hotel reception good when asked. Food, very much tourist menu & prepared for the tourist market. But all the restaurants were much the same.
Very noisy rooms towards Drosselgasse. The loud music from the open garden under the window stopped 4.15 in the morning..
I loved this hotel. Great location, great building, great staff
The hotel was not super modern, but very comfortable. As we went in December we appreciated how warm and cosy it was and the bed was the most comfortable we have slept in.We did not realise we were speaking to the owner. he was very helpful and friendly. As a purely personal choice I do like ultra modern but the comfort of the Lindenwirt far outweighed this
Good location; hub of activity in Rudesheim. Great restaurant and beer garden.
It is located in the center of town. The parking was free. The breakfast was absolutely excellent. The Hotel has its own restaurant located on the famous main street in Rudesheim. The restaurant is very nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
The view of the vineyards and Rhein River was very nice. The location was convenient. The hotel is situated between two railroad tracks that pass approximately 100 yards on either side. The trains run several times per hour throughout the night. If you're a light sleeper, the sound may wake you.
We came to Bingen for an outdoor jazz festival and the hotel staff handled the event with flexibility. Around 19:30 the wind and rain stopped the music. We went to dinner and returned to find that the music had been moved into a conference room in the hotel. At check out I was charged for breakfast even though I didn't book or request the meal. The staff was very polite and removed the charge.
Room is very comfortable, outside view is good
Excellent location but....... out of date furnishings (espcially bathrooms) quite loud due to trains passing nearby
cleanliness of the room, view of the room
We had a problem with our eldest son who was arriving by train late at night. The front desk staff were absolutely terrific at helping us with anything we needed, particularly the young lady who was on duty the evening that we checked in. Extremely helpful and accommodating, she deserves recognition for her friendly and helpful attitude. Also, your restaurant staff were very courteous and friendly. I also appreciated the close proximity to both rail stations, the rivers, and the short walking distance to shopping. Although the restaurant food was delicious, I did find the prices rather high.
We requested a sheet or light blanket because the duvets were too hot. The staff said none were available. How could that be if they use sheets to make up the bed?
Great location and good breakfast, although pricey. Would only recommend it based on the location. I had nothing but problems with the bookings, starting with the booking process initially, which I was assured by booking.com had been sorted. Explained the situation again at the hotel, who made me believe initially that it was all looked after, then 2 days after nobody had any trace of the conversation and I had to forward my email confirmation following an hour of discussion to receive the quoted price. They also still have smoking rooms, so it can smell of smoke if the window is left open over night. I was offered a drinks voucher for compensation and was then initially advised at the restaurant (as they don't have a bar) that this was only for drinks up to 3-3.50 Euro. 2nd waiter was finally helpful, but it left poor view of the hotel.
very clean ,and very good location
Nice room, good view of Rhine river, excellent restaurant overlooking Rhine river, modern decor, underground parking with quick access to elevator. Price of buffet breakfast was too high for leisure travelers without an business expense account.
Exceptional service. Smart hotel. Good location. No air conditioning
