Pros: Amazing place to stay with fantastic hosts... the house is very special. Loved the little touches- thank you!
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully decorated room, very clean with a lovely comfy bed and a garden to sit outside in. Isabelle is a delight.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast, lovely host , excellent facilities , would thoroughly recommend to others
Cons: Lights in the room still glow a little after being turned off , also room temperature was quite warm -.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host, great location
Cons: The Wifi - our room (Chamber des Parfums) seemed to be furthest from the WiFi router and most of the time we could not even get a signal. We got around this by going down to the sitting room but it would have been nice to be able to use the WiFi in our room. The signal strength outside the other rooms was much better.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome, very comfortable, close to city centre, congenial atmosphere around shared table at breakfast plus very easy to find - no sat nav issues!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, very lovely property.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What a brilliant place.Welcoming staff(owners) and fantastic breakfast. Location for visiting local sites is great and the station is nearby for those using it. A nice quiet place to stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved the huge double shower and delicious smelling toiletries. Free water and coffee available 24/7 was a lovely touch too. Breakfast around a beautifully laid large table was a delight with other guests. Nice to have eggs cheese or ham if wanted too- alongside good bread, butter, fresh juice, pastries and conserves ...and fruit kebabs or fruit salad.
Cons: We were on the second floor in a beautiful bedroom but the WiFi was unreliable. This meant we had to come down to the lounge communal areas to access the WiFi....not a huge problem but some guests might find it frustrating
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly very central
La Cour Des Carmes - Arras - Building
2
9.8 Excellent (129 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at La Cour des Carmes places you in the heart of Arras, within a 5-minute walk of Place des Heros and Arras Hotel de Ville. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic personal service! Claire Marie have great advice for what to visit and where to eat. The room and property were absolutely spotless! The location is very close to the pedestrian areas near Place des Héros and the Grand Place.
Cons: Claire Marie has a central court where you can park your car, which is very secure and nice! The challenge comes in finding the entry (it’s a very narrow alley) and negotiating the tight turn into and out of the courtyard. But cars do fit! If you’re nervous about the alley, there is pay parking in a small lot downhill a bit or on the street (it may be free parking overnight, but check).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was beautiful, the room the place, the breakfast. We were made so welcome it as lovely
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice place, away from the street, but only 5 minutes walk from Place de Hero’s. Big rooms, very cozy. Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful hostess.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was a very nice, charming place in a very quiet back street in the centre of a busy town. The breakfast was amazing and set us up for the rest of the day.
Cons: It’s a very narrow lane to get to the property but I have a Land Rover Discovery and I managed it with my wind mirrors set in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a lovely find- an absolutely beautiful place. It's tucked away off the main road- a quick walk to amenities, but perfectly quiet. Our host was just brilliant and very helpful with restaurant recommendations and sightseeing. We look forward to our next visit here!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is hidden off of the main street so is very quiet. Our host was very friendly and helpful with reccomendations for dinner and things to do. Breakfast was delicious with many selections to choose from. Would stay again if ever in the area. A great base for visiting some of the World War 1 war memorials in the area.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation was well situated for our needs. Having a secure garage for our motorcycles was a big plus. The room was very clean and comfortable and facilities were first class. I look forward to our next visit
10.0 Excellent
Pros: La Cour des Carmes was delightful from the decor and comfort of the property, central location and the charming owner Claire-Marie. Would recommend without hesitation as an Arras place to stay.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hotel was excellent. Staff very attentive, and the decor was outstanding. Rooms were spacious and really comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was superb. Thank you
Cons: The only negative, was the shower. You had to run it for a while to get it warm, and it never got hot. Such a shame because otherwise there would be absolutely no negatives to say.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I have travelled a great deal in my life and this is possibly the best small hotel I have ever stayed at. The owner greeted us and let us check in early. We were wet and cold from motorcycling so it was greatly appreciated. He had also arranged a secure place for me to park the bike. The hotel is in a lovely old French mansion that has been renovated and decorated with great sympathy and taste. Our room overlooked the garden at the back of the property and was very large, comfortable and stylish. Breakfast was perfect and the best of our recent trip in France. Arras itself is charming and the property is less than a ten minute walk to the main squares. Thank-you Jean-François and staff.
Cons: We only spent one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were lucky enough to be e mailed in advance and we’re being upgraded to a junior suite. We arrived at the property, rang the bell and the owner could not have been any more helpful and friendly. The whole stay was impeccable, very good room facilities and right in the heart of Arras.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and comfortable room. Easy to find parking. Fairly close to the town center.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was perfect. The owner helpful, courteous and spoke excellent English.
Cons: Parking can be tricky
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast buffet offered a wide range of food and was enjoyable
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is a gem. It is a converted convent with an old facade. Once inside it has lovely proportions with a delightful dining room looking out over a beautiful garden. Our host Roman was very helpful and friendly. Our room was on the second floor and had all the facilities we needed. It was quiet with a modern bathroom. The breakfast was extensive with excellent quality food.
Cons: Access is tricky as there is no space to park a car outside the front of the hotel.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We appreciated the quality of the work to renovate and redecorate this historic property. The owner has excellent taste and the interior of both common rooms and suites is to a very high standard. Breakfast is varied and delicious with savory items as well as pastries, yogurt, fruit and cereal. We were sorry it was too late in the season to spend time in the lovely garden accessible from the dining area. Wifi was good throughout the property.
Cons: We had a larger suite on the third floor. The stairs were somewhat steep and narrow making it a little tricky to bring bags up and down, though Jean-François was quick to offer assistance.

Located in Saint-Laurent-Blangy, L'Olivier is in a rural location, a 2-minute drive from Nautical Base of Saint-Laurent-Blangy and 5 minutes from Grand Place. Free self parking is available onsite.

Pros: Everything about the property, friendly welcoming hosts in immaculately kept property. Lovely breakfast, great parking option when traveling by car and convenient enough location to get into central Arras. A bonus is the welcome from Jac...
Cons: WIFI coverage poor in upstairs room, but was fine on ground floor. Really not an issue but may need addressed for future guests.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect - the host Isabelle was very welcoming and helped with directions and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was also amazing!! Our dog had a great time enjoying the garden and relaxing in the shade and very family friendly as we had a little 4 month baby. Thank you to Isabelle for making our stay so wonderful! We hope to return soon!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The accommodation is well located and very comfortable. The host is very friendly and supplied a very nice breakfast
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great, fresh, and healthy breakfast. Nice and very clean room and complete bathroom. Very good beds. Excellent and very friendly hostess, nothing is too much for her to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Covered and safe carpark. Location good but could be a bit to far from Arras city for some people if you want to walk. By car just 10 min and there are plenty of parking facilities in the city.
Cons: Carpark could sometimes cause a problem as it's first in, last out system.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent and you could help yourself to as much as you liked. Everything was freshly baked and delicious. You could choose your breakfast time to suit which made it all the more enjoyable!
Cons: Slightly further away from the centre of Arras than we would of liked, but there was an excellent bus service right outside the property so if you wanted to venture into the city you could. Because we were attending a French wedding, we didn't have time to explore the city, so the location did not matter to us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality, lovely rooms paired and a wonderful breakfast. We couldn't have wished for a better place. Highly recommendable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very charming and likeable host, who answers very friendly and patiently every possible question, gives great tips, what to do, to see and eat. She even booked us a table in a restaurant, after finding out, which one would be perfect for us ( and it was). Very cosy, clean and quiet room. Fantastic breakfast with fresh fruit and even cold cuts. The center of Arras can be reached in less than 10 Minutes by car.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent every day. The hosts were excellent, and made us very welcome.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast. Comfy bed. Good reception from Nicholas who was very helpful. Garage parking very good. Handily placed 10 minutes from motorway.
Cons: En-suite has no door only a curtain. No restaurant within walking distance its a three mile drive into Arras and the restaurants there in the main squares are primarily burger bars and pizza places. Please note L'Olivier is not a hotel but rooms in a private house. The owners work and access is not available until 6pm.

Pros: Virginie is so welcoming, her breakfasts are typically French locally sourced and delicious. Accommodation clean , parking secure, we used a taxi recommended by Virginie to go to Arras. The history in this area is vast . Thank you for a great place to stay .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything, from start to finish everything was first class. Virginie (who speaks great English) couldn't have been a better host. Virginie leant us some excellent books so that we could read more about the area and it's history and told us the best places to eat in Arras which was just 5 minutes away. We had a wonderful breakfast which included a selection of local cheeses, fresh bread, croissants, home made jam and cake. We were given plenty of extra servings of coffee and everthing was perfectly presented and served in the dining room of Virginie's beautifully decorated art nouveau house. Thank you for a fanastic time, we would love to return.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: A very beautiful house and setting. Accommodation was in a converted barn but was roomy and very comfortable. . Very good bathroom and walk in shower. Fluffy towels. Breakfast is served I. The main house and my host was very nice and thoughtful. Breakfast was lovely, all fresh . Home made jams.
Cons: Need your own transport to get to Arras. I walked there and whilst it was an interesting walk it took an hour. It was worth it tho, bars, restaurants were good and Arras is an interesting town.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, well-informed owner. Delicious breakfast. Lovely, comfortable room and fabulous shower
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was just fantastic, the location was so easy to find, easy on site parking, the room was stunning, the owner was so lovely and breakfast was excellent. We will definitely come again. Thank you Virginie!

Pros: Beautifully appointed room and shared area (though we were there on our own and had no need to share) with some special touches. The garden and surroundings are also lovely and peaceful. Delphine was wonderfully helpful and prepared an excellent breakfast for us. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.
Cons: It was quite difficult to locate a restaurant which was open in the evening and also in close proximity. We didn't realise that there was a microwave to use on the premises which could have provided a simple alternative.

Perfect for us to relax and break the journey to Paris. Perfect location if you want to visit the WWI battlefields of the Somme (Vimy, Notre-Dame de Lorette). Pros: A wonderfully restored Chateau in the heart of the French countryside. It is the perfect place to relax after a long drive or a day touring the local WW1 battle sites. It is also close enough to Arras which is worth visiting. There are many restaurants in Arras notably Mezzaluna for vegetarians which was a very good. Jannick is the perfect and most welcoming host at Le Chateau .

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The owner/manager was very welcoming. Breakfast was adequate, a croissant each with our cup of coffee was brought to our table by a very friendly lady. The buffet was the usual fare, fruit juice, yoghurt, cheese and ham.
Cons: We did not have much luggage, but some people with heavy cases might struggle with the fact that there is no lift. My personal preference for breakfast is for baguette bread, but more and more hotels seem to offer brioche type bread.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: A modern hotel in a traditional space....loved it! Location near the town squares and shopping a real plus.
Cons: It was a little difficult to find.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very spacious and modern, breakfast good, superb restaurant next door. Loved the décor, pictures etc
Cons: Rather hard to find, the hotel is tucked away in a courtyard. We were caught in heavy traffic and only spotted the hotel because I recognised the name of the restaurant next door. It was a bit disconcerting to find the hotel locked up - because it is small it is not staffed all the time and we had to phone the manager to let us in.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was excellent. Their link with the restaurant La Coupole was perfect as their service, food and value for money was superb. The receptionist voluntarily carried our bags up to our room. It doesn't have an elevator and the stairs were quite demanding for my wife so they switched us from a second floor room to a first floor room on the second day without any hassle. It was good to see that the owner was very hands on through every part of the hotel and restaurant. Arras and surrounding area are full of history especially re. WW1 and WW2.
Cons: An elevator but I understand the issues with converting an existing building.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Breakfast was expensive for what you got
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is ideal close to the town centre with plenty options around for eating & socialising. Beautifully clean, smart well appointed hotel.
Cons: The hotel suffered several power outages whilst I was there. I don't know if this was a regular occurence or just a coincidental one off. The hotel doesn't have a lift so may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Herve and Xavier were excellent hosts, giving a warm welcome. A colourful and individual apartment, very private and use of a courtyard garden though we were too busy to take the opportunity to sit in it. Plentiful fresh croissants, bread and fruit for breakfast. We were given lots of useful information about Arras. The location was just perfect for us; free parking in plentiful supply nearby. A very good location for anyone researching WW1 sites in the vicinity. We really enjoyed our stay. Easy walking distance to the Grand Place and Place des Heros with their amazing architecture and abundant restaurants and bars.

Pros: Location was excellent and there was a wide range of places to eat . Our hosts were superb , informative and friendly
Cons: Very little to say here. Only one tiny piece of feedback we can give and it is minor would be to have a shower head holder further up the wall as it was quite low whilst having a shower but we understand it was more a bath than shower

Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: We stayed in the caravan: very clean, nice decor, fabulous bed. The garden is lovely.
Cons: Frosty reception by the hostess who led us to the room, and left. No information, no interaction in either English or French. No wifi outside the main building. Dinner cooked to disintegration. We asked for breakfast at 9.00; it was delivered at 8.30 and left on the open porch, despite the rain. How nice it would have been to eat in the main building in such weather, but we were not offered the option. Kettle provided in the room, but no mugs (?! as per previous comments). No hairdryer. We left feeling we had somehow trespassed, rather than we were paying customers. Of all the places we stayed on this trip, our only negative experience. Of all the places we stayed, the only one we will not revisit. If you work in hospitality, it is good to be hospitable. Our experience was so different from other reviews, I can only imagine she was going through a bad time...
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice location, large spacious garden and close to the centre of Arras, which is also worth a visit. Rooms were very large and comfortable, very friendly hostess

9.3 Excellent (117 reviews)
7.9 Good
Pros: First we liked many things about the accommodation. The location is very central, parking was easy as was booking in. The house in terms of historical interest and decor was lovely. We really enjoyed the breakfast, the bed was comfortable, good levels of cleanliness and the relaxed approach.
Cons: The main issue we had was the lack of information about the really narrow stairs and the fact that there would be difficulty getting up such narrow, steep and small stairs up to the attic. This needs to be described well in the information. My husband found it very hard to deal with.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly welcome. Good room and breakfast. Great location.
Cons: The neighbours had a noisy party.

Cons: Stairs were narrow and steep. Squeaky wood so we were concerned about disturbing others.

Pros: The breakfast was good. The staff were friendly, but this place was hard to find ; and when we did, it was through a bar, where the person in charge didn't speak English.
Cons: The room was two floors up with dangerous stairs. Our bags were carried up, but not down. This is not a suitable place for older travellers.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Lovely friendly staff who coped with our French-Italian hybrid requests. Wonderful location, beautiful square - a location that is on the way up - and just a short work from the major squares and restaurants. A superb little town.
Cons: The restaurant was closed on Monday, but the hotel only told us when we were on our way. However, it was serendipitous as it made us walk into the centre which was spectacular in moonlight.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked everything. The owner Isabelle was charming and upgraded us to a room with a/c She felt the room we had been allocated, would be too hot for us, as it didn’t have a/c. Nothing was too much trouble. We ll definitely go back

Cons: Nothing to not like!

Pros: Very nice location to stay if you intend to visit the nearby WW-1 memorials (or other sites of interest). The hosts are very helpful and cook a great breakfast. Photos are from 'Notre Dame de Lorette', the Canadian National Vimy Memorial' and the German memorial at Neuville-Saint-Vaas.

Pros: The hosts Elisabeth and Irek were superb they were very welcoming and friendly couple. They were always attentive and wanted to do as much as they could to make our stay as pleasant and comfortable as possible . The room was superb and is self contained with a hall leading to our own bathroom and then to the bedroom. Making a very private area for guests. The breakfast was excellent with a huge choice of food and everything fresh!Again Elisabeth and Irek were very attentive . Got to say our overnight stay was great and set us up for the next days long drive. Thank you to Elisabeth and Irek we will see you again . Lou and Marie
Cons: All great

Pros: Delicious breakfast (with fresh strawberries from a nearby farm!) and very welcoming hosts. They went out of their way to help me with an issue with my rental car. Thank you!

Pros: Breakfast was great and the hosts were delightful!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room is large and impeccably clean as is the bathroom which is the size of a small Paris apartment. There is no tub, but it has a great shower with plenty of hot water. The listing says that the bath is "separate", but is just outside the bedroom door in a little private hallway that has a sliding door separating it from the rest of the house. The other door leads out to the veranda and can be closed and shuttered for complete privacy. There are more extras than I can list here. The room comes with a Bosch coffee maker and a dizzying variety of coffee capsules to choose from. There is also an electric kettle and several different teas. There is a small fridge that serves as a mini bar. The prices for the mini bar offerings are barely more than you would pay at the supermarket. The hosts are obsessive about providing for your every whim. We brought home some pizzas one night, and the hosts immediately set the dining table on the sun porch with plates, silverware, napkins and wine glasses. The breakfast is copious. There are lots of breads, cheeses and preserves as well as various yogurts and sliced ham. The hosts offered eggs and bacon if we wanted it. We usually choose to stay in an historic home, but this one is a typical suburban house de Provence in a subdivision not far from Arras. While it may lack the ambience of an 18th chateau, the accommodations are better than you would find in all but the most expensive hotels.
Cons: While the hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly, their cat Tchi-tcha clearly voted "no" at the family meeting where they decided to offer a room for rent. Not only did she disdain any attempt we made to entice her to come over and get scratched behind the ear, she literally refused to even look at us during our entire stay. It was really quite comical.

Pros: Friendly family and amazingly helpful given we arrived close to 12.

Pros: What a find! We wanted just an overnight stay on our way back home from the South of France. This was great, easy to find from the A26, and then just an hour and a half away from Calais the next day. Mélanie, the hostess, could not have been more welcoming, and the dinner she prepared for us (we’d pre-ordered a meal) was superb; homemade, fresh ingredients, all local, some from her own garden. It was restaurant standard and delicious. The best meal we’d had all holiday, to be honest! Our room was clean, beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was just as good as dinner had been - far too much food for us, but excellent quality and all in all, wonderful value for money. We intend to go back next time we visit France.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for one night at L'Heure Bleue. It was a perfect location for an overnight stop on our journey and to visit the Vimy Canadian Memorial. We were received with a warm welcome and shown to our room, we found everything very comfortable and spotless. The bed and bed linen was extremely comfortable and cosy, the bathroom roomy with a good powerful shower. The room was a very good size with plenty of space and storage. The breakfast was fresh, copious and very nicely laid out. L'Heure Bleue is an ancienne ferme à cour and the renovations are exceptional with a beautiful garden. We had dinner a short distance away at the Pizzeria Zodiaco, which we also recommend. We would defiantly visit again, recommended.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Generally nice accommodation, fairly large room with use of kitchen/dining room.
Cons: Parking on public road which had to be crossed to reach accommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good size bedroom and bathroom comfy bed Kitchen and dining overlooking the lovely garden. Good selection for breakfast more than you could eat.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, comfortable and clean country lodging near some important World War One sites. Gracious, kind and welcoming hosts, lovely room and for our purposes, a good location for touring, and close enough to Arras, Lille and even southern Belgium for a half-day or day trip with a car. Breakfast was fine and typical for the bed and breakfasts in the region. Host was kind enough to meet a special dietary need, which was much appreciated. Highly recommended!
Cons: We liked everything!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything was lovely. The accommodations perfect and the beds were comfy. My only ask or recommendation would be to provide a fan for the upstairs bedrooms as the airflow was minimal. That aside, I would completely recommend this quaint little gem of a gite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: It was very clean, comfortable and close to Canadian Vimy Memorial. Host was very friendly.
Cons: No where close to eat for supper. Host does speak some English we wish she spoke more as we don’t speak any other languages.

Pros: Entry and exit procedures gave us ultimate flexibility of time of arrival, ideal! Will remember the standard of this one for a long time!!! Location easy for motorway, excellent breakfast, secure parking and a good evening meal close by. For an overnight stop what more could you ask?
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very lovely room with excellent attention to the decor . Very nice over night stay on route to Disney land Paris . The entry system was a code which was easy to use no key .
Cons: Maybe a list of local amenities like the local shop and bakery and there was a park for children about a 10 minute walk away but would not have known if we hadn’t gone for a wander but all in all room was excellent
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice building, garden, rooms, bathroom
Cons: All ok
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and luxurious... good breakfast. Nice beds and a lovely bar/bistro a 5 min walk away at the golf club (L’Infini)
Cons: Not enough parking (got blocked in by 2 French cars in the morning).... address is confusing as there is also the same named street in the centre of Arras. No one there to meet & greet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Comfortable bed. Good security. Fabulous coffee. Comfortable chairs
Cons: It was perfect for an overnight stay. Will use it next year both ways! Sadly could not find extra coffee pods in the local supermarkets
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were comfortable and each was uniquely decorated. Bed was comfortable and quiet even with the windows open. Outdoor courtyard was nice. Property small but you couldn’t hear the other guests.
Cons: Coffee maker was temperamental and would have liked small kettle as tea tastes like coffee in the machine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Excellent.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Interesting decor....but good bedding and facilities and breakfast excellent. All done by text so didn’t meet any staff.
Cons: No instructions for coffee machine which was frustrating
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Secure parking, A very comfortable bed, the best we had slept in on a 2 week trip through France and around northern Italy. Breakfast very tasty and was delivered as promised.
Cons: It was a bit strange not having contact with a ‘real person’. To eat we had to drive back into Arras ( 10 mins) , the golf club restaurant was closed despite information to the contrary in the room.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: very adequate fresh breakfast in pleasant surroundings very friendly staff very comfortable bed very responsive heating in room lovely hot water/excellent shower excellent food in restaurant just across the car park easy access to all routes for travelling by car
Cons: would have liked a kettle in our room would have liked better fruit for breakfast / why not have some wonderful local apples instead of Golden Delicious ?
6.3 Good
Pros: cleanliness of the room
Cons: except for the cleanliness of the room, all the rest below expectations
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our third stay here and did not disappoint! We like the quality of the decoration in the room, the comfortable bed and the cleanliness in the bathroom. The breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate with boil your own egg, ham, cheese cereals, frui,t yogurts and croissants etc. The staff were efficient and friendly. The Poivre Rouge next door was open on a Sunday night for a tasty meal.
Cons: Nothing to dislike!
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast available from 06:00 - 11:00 and unusually includes an egg-boiling device. Standard of rooms and secure parking is common to Ace Hotels and makes them good value at the price. Wi-fi scored 52 mbps with strong signal - as good as it gets, and free! TV includes DW and some other English-language channels, but not France24, alas. Good food, wine and service at restaurant on adjacent site.
Cons: Supply of some breakfast items, ie croissants, is limited - first come ..... small baguettes particularly poor quality. Coffee is from a machine that grinds beans as it goes - acceptable but not desirable; not great value for 7 euros. Bring your own kettle/tea/coffee if you care enough. Card-reader for payments is so slow that transactions time-out and get declined - 3rd attempt was lucky!
7.0 Good
Pros: Great thing about Ace Hotel is the consistent good standard, secure parking and smooth management. This was another good stay, made even better by good restaurant nearby for dinner (Ace hotels offer breakfast only).
Cons: Breakfast at 7 Euros each is not such good value as the rooms in our view, though we liked the Ace usual facility for boiling our eggs. The card payment system is so slow that the transaction failed twice by timing out - this is not uncommon in French hotels/restaurants and is a statement about internet technology, and not about Ace in particular. Annoying, nd perhaps explains why they want payment on arrival rather than departure.
