Pros: Very beautiful place and landscapes.
Pros: Location, beauty and quietnes + nice breakfast outside.
Cons: When we came to pay, it took a very long time to find the two rooms we had booked (one directly by phone). I paid the price she told me to pay, which seemed right, but when the woman in the reception found out that I had paid NOK 230 less than I should, she called me back and make me feel that I had made a mistake. Not a nice experience; she did not even say sorry. In my opinion it should be her responsibility to tell the visitors the right price. We have stayed at Baldersnes several times, an still love it.
Pros: Beautiful location by lake. Helpful staff - restaurant was closed on day we arrived and hotel both emailed and phoned before our arrival to ensure we were aware. Grand old building.
Cons: Building is slightly tired, but decoration appears to be underway. Reception closed at 4pm so good we arrived before then. (There was a phone number to ring if we had arrived later, so probably wouldn't have been a problem)
Pros: Good vegetarian food! Not only vegetables, like st many places, but tasty oumph!
Cons: The restaurant was closed when we atrived (a Monday). The hotel was dark and deserted. It did not feel welcoming at all...
Pros: Lovely old manor in a somewhat remote location, with a wonderful, enormous park, full of huge old trees and walkways, a little beach by the lake with a beachhouse and a sauna, a little gazebo and benches in the forrest, the room was charming, good sized and very clean, private parking for our motorcyles in front of the hotel, very friendly personnel, very good breakfast with a great selection, we would have loved to stay longer. The countryside around the hotel is beautiful with perfect roads for motorcycling, we would come back anytime. We were there at the end of the season, so it was very quiet and relaxed. In front of the hotel is a sort of summer location with restaurants and shops It might be quite busy in the high season.
Cons: We had very high expectations for the three course dinner, that were not fulfilled completely. The main dining room was occupied by a bus group so we sat upstairs in a second dining room. The room is also very nice, but the food, especially the soup was not really hot. All in all the food was not quite as outstanding as we had expected from the homepage. Good thing we had a very charming waiter, that made up for the little flaws.
Pros: The stay was beyond my imagination. It's hard to describe the setting--it is so peaceful, serene and private. Add to that delicious food that was thoughtfully prepared and served. What really put it over the top were the caring individuals who worked there. They went above and beyond to make our stay very special--they really looked for every oppotunity to make things memorable for us. One of my favorite stays ever.
Cons: Everything was perfect.
Pros: I think surroundings very nice , but since I am a little disabled I noticed some handles were missing in the steps all around as well in the main building as doen to the new houses !
Cons: Ithink the shower soap in the room very heavy to get opened ! But due to my small handyman set we managed to get it opened ! Ithink as well the consultant choosing showerset and glassdoors in baathroom ias not a very practical person , since the doors scrambled very much and the water were flowing very much outside shower area. But architects are not always the person they were meant to be ! Another thing I would point out as bad , was the breakfast area in the main building ! As we entered the area all the meat on the table were crouded withh a lot of non appetite big flies ! This was due to lacking of all plastic shield boxes to prevent these flies ! The only shield was on scrambed egg and bacon ! S
Pros: Nice place but poorly managed.
Cons: Had not registered our mail confirming dinner and one person with gluten intolerance Got a handicap room with no picktures on the walls. No place to set soap in the shower. etc
When you stay at Hotell Dalsland in Ed, you'll be by the sea and within a 5-minute drive of Dalslands Moose Ranch. This apartment has 2 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Good location with perfect views
Pros: The Breakfast was basic but pleasant.
Cons: Microwave didn't seem to work and not many channels on the tv like there was on the more expensive villa I stayed in the year before.
Pros: The spacious apartment!
Cons: Fresh towels on the third day.
Pros: The location was convenient for our needs with a great view of the little lake. We had a glass enclosed sun room in addition to an outdoor patio. The sun room was great for the cool days encountered while we were there. It was a roomy little apartment that was tastefully furnished and comfortable.
Cons: We asked about a laundry in the area when we checked in. The clerk said they had a facility on site and gave me a card key for access. The facility was bad. Two washing machines, one of which left the clothes as wet as if there hadn't been a spin cycle and the other which was better, but only marginally. Another guest was using the dryer and had her clothes in it for hours. I finally took them out, put one load of ours in, and ran it at high temperature for about 90 minutes; they were maybe half dry at that point. We took them to the room and hung them everywhere, but the cold nights didn't allow for much additional drying. My wife talked to the manager at 8:00 a.m. the next day, he gave her access to the hotel's commercial dryer and we had our clothes done in an hour. If the washing facility is so poor they shouldn't be saying they have one, or, at the very least explain the issues you will face up front.
Pros: Hotell Dalsland was exactly what we were hoping for. We had plenty of room. The owners were very helpful and friendly. WiFi was very good. We were able to visit with guests easily in our cottage. It was was an excellent value.
Pros: Good breakfast and very quiet location
Cons: Property and facilities are all run down. Need total renovation. Ed is in the middle of nowhere far from major city
Pros: Beautiful views close to town
Pros: It was a truly gem! On arrival I guess we were greeted by what I think were the owners or managers, they were both extremely kind and friendly, check in took moments and as we were two couple we paid in SKE whilst the other paid in EUR, quite convenient. The apartments are a stone throw from the main lobby, ours were spacious with a lovely view over the lake which was very relaxing, depending on the weather the terraces are quite big and there are chairs and table outside. Amenities were plenty, except maybe a can opener there was everything you need (to include an oven, but no microwave though). Furniture were adequate, it is not The Ritz obviously, bed was comfy and so was the big sofa' in the living room area. Activities wise there is a lot to do from walk in the beautiful woods, Dalsland Aktiviteter which is only 15 minutes driving away or what we did is using Canodal which is nearby for a two days canoeing and camping on the Store Lee lake, an amazing experience. Breakfast was good, however the first two days was good but with slightly limited options, on the Sunday being a very busy day there were more hot items, maybe we would have appreciated to have some bacon and eggs on the first two days too as you can still cook them even with less people around, the option were good nevertheless. You have only one wall sharing with another flat, there is no one below or on top so they were extremely quiet!
Kanalvillan has a garden, shared lounge, a private beach area and terrace in Dals Långed. Guests can enjoy garden views. All rooms at the guest house are fitted with a seating area. A buffet breakfast is available each morning at Kanalvillan.
Cons: Not good good value for money.
Pros: Charming villa in a wonderful location Friendly staff
Cons: Lack of any kind of blinds or curtains
Pros: We had a nice big room.
Cons: They charge €10pp for sheets, this makes the accomodation rather expensive. If your room is on the second floor you have to go to the first floor for a shower.
Pros: Location and the host is really Nice ! Thank you

Cons: Bar stops serving at 9.30pm and closes altogether at 10pm!
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Room was really warm and didn’t cool down with windows open. Would have liked a fan or air conditioning.
Pros: The fresh fruit and berries on the breakfast plus the pancakes
Cons: The Wifi was really bad. The juice was all watery from lying in a big container of ice.
Pros: Perfect location. Perfect service. Super place.
Cons: The House is very very old, as is the kitchen. The matrasses were also ancient and extraordinarily uncomfortable.
Pros: Great value in beautiful surrounds. Comfortable bed and nice room.
Cons: Check in times a little inconvenient - so check you arrive at the right time.
Pros: Breakfast was great! There was plenty of choice with different types of cereal, yoghurt, milk, bread, cheese, ham and other things. The view from the top of the hill is amazing and you can wander through the other historical buildings in the grounds at any time. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a living area with a TV. Annika, the manager, is very friendly and helpful.
Pros: The location of this hostel is next / part of to the Gammelgården museum ground and a really beautiful piece of Swedish history - definitely worth a visit! There is a cafeteria in the back of the museum shop, with a beautiful view. Cute breakfast room with simple but good buffet. There are beautiful hiking trails departing straight from the hostel.
Cons: The hostess was very friendly but a heavy smoker. Although she smoked outside, during reception hours the cigarette smell was present in the entry hall way (where e.g. the toilets are).
Pros: Big good surprise was a free open air museum :) 100m from frontdoor and gesthouse was on top of nice hill!
