The breakfast was better than average. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. It was over a kilometer's walk to the area where all the restaurants were. The dinner in the hotel restaurant was good but there was quite a lot of food and we wanted to try something else the 2nd night. The wine bar didn't appear to have a large variety of wine.
Hospitality, very good breakfast and free WiFi in the room Nothing, I prefer this Hotel already 15 years
nice place to stay and breakfast is nice. not easy to arrive for people without a car.
Hotel Staff were very friendly. The wireless internet was not working in my room all the time.
Great breakfast Nice clean modern rooms No quad rooms, which is a bit of a nuicance with kids
There was a fault with the plumbing in the bathroom which made very loud vibrating noises thoughout the night. When we complained we were only given a 5 Euro discount - pretty poor compensation for having had virtually no sleep.
Only there 1 night, but staff were pleasant and efficient. No complaints at all.
quit environment and good hotel
The proximity of the woods, since we were travelling with a dog. The vacuum cleaning of the room - there wasn't any. Since we had a dog, and walked every day in the woods, the room could have been hoovered during our stay.
Convenient for car access to H/V park
The serenity not really
Quiet, forest location
Comfortable hotel with excellent staff. Ideal for a relaxed stop not far from the motorway.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful and the room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. The proximity to Amsterdam. It might be helpful to provide some sort of shuttle to/from the train stations so that a guest doesn't have to worry about the infrequent taxis.
The location of this hotel is great. Not too far from the Kroller Muller Museum and the national park. They have bicycles to rent if you wish. Breakfast was acceptable. The toilet was running during most of our stay (2 days). The staff worked to repair it, but it wasn't fully fixed before we left. Not an issue for us, but would have been a problem if we stayed longer.
Clean, nice location. Room was a bit uninviting.
The internet cafe, breakfast and friendly staff. Shower not working in the first room - changed quickly by staff to another room. No adaptor plugs available.
free Inernet on computer cigar in ashtray of bath room, dirty
pleasant hotel, with modern decor. slightly difficult to find after dark
Great accomodating helpful staff
Lack of a system to pick up room keys after front desk closing time
close to downtown and easy access to national park by bus it was very smokey, the receptionist was crabby, the hotel was very noisey
Kindness of staff.
Helpful staff. Close to town centre. Good value.
Near my work It was below standard, very old fashionned, expensive for what it was
breakfast quite ok, no soft boiled eggs, no bacon, bad (instant) coffee
Very good location. Otherwise fair. Room was dirty and certain places obviously not cleaned for 'ages'. Staff did try to clean after complaints. Hotel is not really geared towards international vitistors.
The room was comfy and the breakfast, included in the price of the room, was excellent. The hotel is not a 3 minute walk from the train station as suggested on the description.
The room was neat and clean, and the staff was friendly. None
The location is excellent Do not stay in the "basement" it is terrible
quiet location in the forest.nice swimming pool
A lovely relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings. Nice walks and very close to Oosterbeek.
The food wasn't too good (almost cold upon arrival) and too expensive
A really good hotel in a nice quiet location amongst woodlands, very large and comfortable bedroom
The location, and the facilities available to enjoy the location. Nothing
the reception was friendly and good organised, the room was nice, the breakfast very good, price OK We are very satisfied also about thesite of booking.com
very nice surrounding we came in the dark and it was not easy to find it.
This is a perfect place to have a relaxing weekend. Good location in the forest; good facilities (small swimming pool and sauna) and large selection in the breakfast buffet.
Access to 2nd war sites
The hotel was excellent, as were the staff. The situation, in a quiet wooded area, was very pleasant and restful. The catering, especially breakfast facitities and food quality was very good, although busy. We left an article of clothing in our room and it was returned to us in the UK. What better service? We would use this hotel again. Central heating regulator had been broken and was not 'spotted' by staff.
Quiet pleasant country location and surrounding nature park. The outdoor dining and relaxing areas with possibility of bicycle rental add enjoyment to the stay. Liked everything to a greater or lesser degree.
Excellent surroundings, staff and comfort. Would like to be able to see news programmes eg bbc World or Sky,or at the least cnn in English.
I have stayed there for the past 4 years at the same time and now i have found this web site i will be recommend it to my frends and will be using this web site for all my hols
The surrounding of the hotel The room has no mini-bar, no water cooker and not providing facility for hot drinks (e.g. coffee or tea), while it claims to be a 4 stars hotel.
It was nice and quiet, set in a nice place. For the purpose of this trip it was to far from my daily destination. It wasn't convenient from the train station as we had no other means of transportation other than walking.
Visit World War II sites in the area. They were excellent. Enjoyed food and the Bilderberg and Bilderberg Wolfheze. Nothing. It was excellent.
Very good restaurant
Private balcony , friendly staff No room service after 2100hrs. Overpriced French restuarant
Super location, great landscape, The single rooms are extremely dark (I have seen two of them), due to very small windows there is a need of light on even during the sunny day!!! Furniture and TV sets (14 inches) are from the past decade must be replaced. Very bad insulation so I couldn’t sleep because somebody had shover at 4;50 am I heard every drop of water. Very expensive Internet 10 Euro per hour. For two hours of bicycle rental I paid 6 Euros and I didn’t get any invoice. By the way the procedure to rent a bike was more complicated than a car rental in many places. Two days ago at other hotel in Germany I used bike and it was no bike rental fee no documents to sign. And finally for a medium size glass of local beer called Brand it was necessary to pay 5,50 Euro what is really pretty pricy.
The staff was very friendly and most helpful. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed, but the staff directed us to a delightful French restaurant.
our stay at the hotel was great! the room was good, so was the breakfast. there is not that much we didn't like..the only thing was that it was a bit difficult to find because the center was 'carfree'.
the kindess of the staff, the interior, the bed The shower was a bit strange. It stood in a corner without any glass protection around. The whole bathroom was soaking wet after a shower
Atmosphere, friendliness of staff
The area is very quite and clean, it was like Switzerland. The Hotel stuff is very frindly, threat the guests like family members. It was the best Hotel I ever stayed in Holland. If they could let the customers to the computer at night, that would be nice. And also free wifi would be good instead.
Accommodation nice and atmosphere is good, rooms simple but sufficient. Breakfast was nice, with more choice then expected! Would have been nice to have restaurant and busy bar, the facilities are there...
friendly personnel, nice shower, lovely village/surroundings, the price of the room the windows did not open and ventilation was poor, small/too soft single beds
The hotel is located in Lunteren which is a wonderful little town--very picturesque. The area is central to most of Holland. The desk clerks were extremely friendly and obliging. There was an excellent breakfast buffet and an attractive room where one could sit and have tea in the evenings. Parking was free which is not always the case in some European hotels. We really enjoyed our stay. For where it was the hotel was a bit expensive. The rooms were comfortable but very basic.
A very enjoyable stay. Great location with friendly & helpful staff. The only issue i had was that the hotel bar had very little to offer - however this meant that a i did try the local spirit!
Nice and quiet place, friendly hotel staff Limited parking place, dark room
The hotel was very nice, and the staff was very helpful.
Nice and friendly staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, a relaxed atmosphere. Great place to withdraw after a hectic traveling work day. None
design of the room/bathroom shower - the water did not flow off, one simply ended up standing in water when taking a shower (yuk)
perfect location, attentive staff, wonderful breakfasts, beautiful hotel
Its excellent restaurant with intelligent wine list and very good served breakfast (wonderful, no buffet) in the centre of a town with good shops. The noise from the kitchen's extractor fans, I imagine a room at the front would have avoided this. For one night this was ok, for a longer stay it might have been problematic.
The location was excellent for the "city" of Wageningen; there was an espresso machine in the room; the room was huge. For my taste it has the best croissants outside of France. My colleague and I had both rooms on floor 1 and 2 at the far end of the hotel floor, for "good" reasons: a constant rumbling and humming noise from the exhaust system, this was annoying, not easy to find sleep, the statement of the front desk that "this will stop in an hour" was a lie, it never stopped. Next, the bathroom has no heating: I got cold feet while in the warm shower. The free spring water provided in a bottle is a fake. The fact that it was filled to maximum, but the cap was already opened before I touched it, indicates a possible cheap refill with tab water (seems to be a standard procedure in many hotels). The rooms are huge and empty, hence not very cosy, overall a cold design. Question of personal preference, however.
The espresso machine in our room No atmosphere, arrogant staff, " too much ado about nothing".
Service was absolutely forst-class. Restaurant was amazing - breakfast roo/bar is very nice with a lot of Dutch ambiance
Nice rooms and coffee machine
I liked the furnishings, the shower, the heating and the food. Also the service. I did smell some cigarette smoke, despite this being a non-smoking hotel
Very good service and exceptionally good breakfast bar.
It was by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The staff were all lovely and all spoke English in varying degrees. The location was lovely, very peaceful. Ideal for a very relaxed stay. It was quiet while we were there and we were the only ones using the pool. Like our own private pool. Rooms very comfortable.. Lovely comfy bed. Good selection at breakfast.. Need I go on? The only thing I would say is, it is out of Arnhem and if you want to explore in town, you need transport or a taxi.
Good qulaity of food
The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We could hear noise from the hallway which was a problem when trying to sleep.
Very pretty, wooded area. Close (by car) to the Kroller-Muller museum. They must have been short staffed that morning as they could not keep up with the breakfast guests.
Clean comfortable room in a quiet setting. Breakfast buffet was nice. We had a room in front with slider out to small deck that was very nice.
Everything was very good! the room, the facilities, the swimming pool great for kids! and the restaurant from the hotel really nice. none
This is a lovely idyllic hotel set in a forested area. Although we didn't eat in the 1 star restaurant on site, the hotel food was of equal value. The breakfast is superb. We were delighted by everything.
Helpfulness of staff. Modern surroundings. Fantastic breakfast. Good value for money
I was there before, everything was OK. No
Located in a very nice area. Insufficient heating.
The food in the restaurant was very good. Lack of english language news channel on TV/radio
the staff was very friendly, the breakfast buffet was abundant
good location, good restaurant, fine room, internet
Nice local hotel in forest setting with clean rooms and good beds. Hot and cold breakfast served in nice spacious dining room. Quiet surroundings. The hotel closes at midnight, if you arrive late its difficult to check in
The surroundings. *Evening reception said there was not iron board available at the hotel and left us waiting at the reception for half an hour. In the morning there was a iron board. *The room was not locked after cleaning the first day. *Room was not made up the second day and no clean towels were left. *Not worth a four star rating
We liked the location, excellent and very friendly service; rooms clean and very convenient. We had a warm feeling and felt very relaxed. The buffet breakfast was very good. We will certainly return when we visit Holland again. We cannot think of anything. We liked our stay so much that we decided to stay 2 more nights.
The only statisfaction I had in this hotel was when I arrived. The person was gentle and tried to help. A lot to say: room too small, very noisy, lights from the road straight on my bed, a weak wifi signal, and Internet not usable (too slow). Breakfast was poor and finally they wanted me to pay full reservation when I checked out the next morning! I did already say in the evening that I would leave the next morning. Everything is in Deutch, but hopefully they speak decent English. Run away!
The location is fabulous - right in the middle of the woods! The beds and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever had in a hotel anywhere too!
Quite surroundings and very nice area for walking. Choice of food on menu could be extended
I have drunk the most expensive beer ever (8 Euros). It is to much and my only complaint.
Very good food No foreign tv (For example TV5 Monde)
The staff very friendly and helpful, Location very peaceful and quite. Small room and bathroom.
The natural surrounding
value for money
The hotel was very comfortable, quiet and in lovely surroundings
Location in a beautiful forest and at the same time very closed to the city.
The personal approach of the friendly staff
Friendly staff This was a business trip. Was placed in alternate facility that was difficult to access and it was without WiFi INternet access and no immediate laundry facilities. This hampered my ability to conduct business.
had grreat time be back same time next yea bar was shut on a sat night
It is very convenient to walk to all downtown ameneties and it is very close to the bus station.
comfortable room very heavy doors of lifts
The recepcionist was very friendly
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the hotel breakfast which was included with my stay was delicious.
The rooms breathed new and for Dutch standards they were also spacious enough - there's even a small living-room space. The decoration was simple (practically 100% ikea) and very pleasant. Fortunately for me this hotel did not have many things that I dislike in typical Dutch hotels such as carpets in the rooms, old blankets, and old wall-paper. The staff was heterogeneous - some very friendly, others not that much. Overall this hotel is a good, positive surprise! The mattresses and pillows were not good. The breakfast service was rather poor. Although poor breakfasts are usual in the Netherlands, this one suffered from disorganized service (few people attending the guests, too dark environment), disposition of food/drinks and labelling not clear.
The guests are European and non-European attending either training or workshop in a friendly atmosphere; and the staff interact well and are helpful to the guests. The hotel also includes very good breakfast. The internet service in the hotel is charging relatively higher fee.
The central location. The facilities available, and the friendly staff. The single room I stayed in was very small even by European standards, and there was limited wardrobe space. The bathroom was tiny as well. There was no clock radio.
central to town having to go to main hotel for breakfast
