I liked the hospitality from the owners, the modern design, attention to detail and overall cleanliness
Friendly and comfortable
This is a small and quiet guest house in a Johannesburg suburb. The two lady owners are both helpful and pleasant. They tended well to all our needs. Room facilities are good but lacking telephones but this was not a priority for us. Bed and Breakfast only. But, they will arrange to have food delivered in if you are a late arrival. We visited during the world cup and paid a premium price, which if applied normally would not be justified.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and well decorated. The hosts were very kind and the stay was quite pleasant.
the price of the shuttle is way to expensive
Nice place, safe environment, homely treatment, wonderful people to look after you Nothing
Great location not far from the airport and close to all main roads if you need to drive around. Good meals, good service, very friendly. Very good value for money.
Clean, comfortable room
The staff was very attentive and wonderful. Wifi in my room was not working
The staff was top notch. Most went above and beyond to assist. The room was comfortable and accommodating. They made me feel welcome and made it easy to relax after a couple of very busy weeks of travel. Strong WIFI, nice business services area. I'd stay there again. Thank you! The bar was a disappointment and a stark contrast to the rest of the hotel. I waited about 5 minutes before I finally had to get someone's attention to take my order (even though there were 2 workers behind the bar the whole time). The layout is not conducive to starting conversations among others at the bar and neither was the staff. I felt like I was inconveniencing them. Also, restaurant staff came to the bar and talked about dining patrons right in front of the guests at the bar. Not professional.
Clean, friendly, easy
Great location for someone arriving Johannesburg one day and leaving the next. Hotel is 3-minute walk from Airport, which has luggage carts you can push over there and leave. Bellman will take you to ticket counter for check-in the next day. Great staff, genuinely pleased that you are there. Excellent food. Soundproof, no airport noise. I normally stay at Sandton Hilton near my business partners' office, but when staying overnight to connect a flight the next day, the added cost of this hotel is absolutely worth while. I shall return. Cannot think of anything I did not like.
The breakfast buffet was grand The rate and size of rooms. Was a little expensive for rooms of that size
Staff is excellent, very friendly
Clean rooms, nice bed, good restaurants nearby and great breakfast. Shuttle service back and forth to the airport was excellent. Older rooms, staff is okay and hotel a bit pricey
The security no.
Very nice hotel and casino, luxury rooms and amazing breakfast I had a squeaking pipe in my room and it was hard to sleep bacuse of the noise
Liked the restauruants in the complex and level of security Just too far from Joburg centre
Check your bill!!!
Quality of room and restaurant were nice, as well as location close to casino. Ordered wake-up call - never came, lucky to have woken up on my own. Ad said international outlets were in the room - they were not. Airport shuttle bus had a schedule, arrived on time, but then didn't depart for 15 minutes.
two bathrooms, bed was comfy Room service answering telephone was very rude to me, food was poor, lights in bathroom didnt work. very expensive for the time I had
I never had better service
The staff and owner were very nice . The rooms are clean and decent sized. The break fast is made to order . I stayed alone in the hotel which was very scaring considering the crimes in s/a despite the area is considered to be well secured. The bath room was not connected to my room was one of the inconvinent factor.
The staff went through great length to make things easy and comfortable for us.
Warm welcome, homely atmosphere, spacious comfortable rooms, convenient for airport (with good transfers), very helpful owners, good value. Having to leave!! If I have to be picky, the cooked part of the otherwise very nice breakfast was a warm-through rather than freshly cooked, but that really didn't bother me.
I loved that the guest house was situated in a safe area of Johannesburg and you could walk on the streets at night and feel safe. We even walked to the restaurants and where picked up by the staff after the main gates were locked to the suburb. They organised pick-up and drop off for the airport and were able to organise a guided tour of Soweto and the city.
Very friendly staff, who go out of their way to help and accommodate their guests. The guesthouse is very close to the airport, in a secure complex, and is walking distance to major shops, pharmacy, banks ect. The price of the rooms represents excellent value for money - I thoroughly recommend it.
Fredom and positive attudes of all members Very little
This guest house was in one the safest locations I travelled to in South Africa as the suburb was enclosed in secure location with security guards and cameras protecting the people entering the area. We even walked to the restaurants at night feeling safe the whole time. The guest house was able to arrange airport transfers and the same driver gave us a guided tour of Soweto, the city of Johannesburg and the museums. He knew a lot about the history of the area and took us to safe areas where we could walk around and meet the locals, getting to hear about the history first hand. They even welcomed us into their homes.
full featured facility, close to airport and road, friendliness, internet connection none
the staff is very friendly and there's a good breakfast. The villa is near the airport. I'll reccommend this house.
access to the airport/ friendly staff/ good breakfast
The breakfast buffet Staff were rude and service poor
convenient Transit hotel close to airport, with reliable shuttle, reasonable rooms, nice breakfast and easy access to range of restaraunts. Price was hiked due to World Cup
This hotel does not justify the 3000 rands that we paid for a one night stay. It was the little things that let the room down - stains on the duvet cover and towel, no bath robes, hot and cold taps the wrong way around in the shower. However it was the rest of the hotel that was the real let down. Corridors full of detritus, and worst was the lack of restaurant. The staff directed us to the adjoining casino which was full of family restaurants - offering plenty of selection but nothing of quality. Breakfast in the hotel was diabolical with piles of limp egg and bacon that seemed to have been cooked hours before. I don't mind a hotel of dubious quality but not if I'm paying 3000 rands a night.
Plenty of food choices and entertainment Getaroom.com screwed up the booking and there was no record of it with the Hotel. Mondior accommodated me though and were very helpful
We stayed here twice and found it to be the perfect place for an overnight near JNB. Airport transfers were seamless and the family atmosphere at the guesthouse was warm and inviting. Highly recommended!
Family atmosphere and warm welcoming on both occassions. Great place owned by great, friendly and helpful people.
Very nice stay. Extremely good value. Near to airport with free shuttle service an pleasant welcome at airport arrivals. Very helpful and nice staff. Nothing - all good!
Owners were very friendly, helpful and accomodating.
The hotel is beautiful, quiet and neat. Not known
Great Staff Far from the city and overpriced en relation with the quality of the hotel
Arthur was very friendly and the place seemed totally secure.
staff willing to assist with tour options/suggestions, friendly atmosphere
The staff was great... the receptionist was friendly, went out of her way to accommodate us, and was able to answer our questions. The shuttle drivers were funny and we always felt safe in the car. We were the only guests on the property and the staff left at 9p... we were completely alone in a strange city, and had no one around. The room was tiny, and hot, with only a floor fan. The receptionist also pointed out the emergency light, in case power goes out! So weird. We ended up cancelling the second part of our stay for a regular hotel.
The friendly and homely atmosphere created by the staff on our arrival and departure no
I enjoyed my stay. It was close to the airport and a comfortable place to stay. A quiet haven away from the bustle of the city. I did find it a little difficult to find initially, but once in the area fine. Also food service at breakfast was pretty slow.
good hospitality expensive
The facilities were lovely, the staff helpful and breakfast was great.
Very good hotel. Friendly! good service the first time don't smell good....
Good, friendly service, nice rooms, great breakfast buffet. Room for one night was a bit expensive (during World Cup). Bed was a little hard.
Close to airport, clean, very comfortable I do not like TVs hanging high up on the wall
I enjoyed the hospitality of the manager, and well trained staff. the atmosphere, the layout of the rooms, the breakfast area, all neat & clean. I am going back again next year and highly recomend it to my friends. N/A
Very friendly staff, excellent service, very nice breakfast, comfortable rooms. Diner was also very good (is not included in the standard room rate). Highly recommended. Safe area. Kempton Park is not a very exciting location. However, it is easy to make day trips to the most important sights in Johannesburg. The staff will help you with this.
My boyfriend and I found all the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was delightful and very comfortable. It was definitely good value for money. Breakfast was very good too. Overall we had no complaints at all apart from the fact we only spent one night there as a stopover before our flight back to the UK and so didn't have any time to explore Johannesburg.
