Beautiful Castle in the middle of a vineyard. The hotel staff was great and the people of Edesheim are extremely kind and friendly!
We have been there before, beautiful hotel in the wine region. The venue is beautiful and attracks a lot of events. We couldn't access the premises before 18h and were advised to park outside. The kitchen was closed on Sunday without proper upfront notice. The menu was far from the normal standard. Check if there's anything special going on before you book, to prevent from a disappointment which should not be neccesary if the staff would address this properly.
It was so relaxing and we also found many restaurants nearby that were great...except hotel was still the best. Wine tasting galor within walking distance! They need to put more effort it the grounds upkeep!
The location was beautiful as was the hotel (castle) which is nestled in a lovely village and surrounded by a vineyard. The staff were incredibly friendly too, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable and the food was delicious. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to stay. We will definitely stay here again when we are next in Germany. N/A
very large room (suite) in the annex, with access to a large garden area. Quiet location in a busy village. Good location relative to the wine route. the garden directly outside the window was a jungle of creepers, not cut back for a year. Strange when the vineyard was so well kept.
Agreeable surroundings, interesting building. Nice room and breakfast Arrived at 9pm and restaurant was closed already. No lifts to 3rd floor
We received an upgrade to the beautiful tower suite, which has a fantastic view over the region in all 4 directions. The entire castle is nicely decorated and is very quiet, in a marvellous region. We definitely come back!
The breakfast was excellent and the coffee superb! Our room, although not in the main "castle" was lovely and large. Signeage to find the hotel was difficult and only visible from one side of the road. The room could have done with an airconditioner. The room wasn't cleaned for 2 days!
The first impression wasn't great...but everything was excellent. It's a kind of place everybody want to be there. Lovely and cozy.... My husband and I stayed only one night there and we fell in love with the "Villa Delange." Someday I want to be there with my kids again. Karen and John (the owners) were very nice and kind and two lovely twin boys were so adorable. It was the best hotel in my life.
Great stopover stay , lovely old world architecture , warm family atmosphere , good value , highly recommended
We found the hotel well beyond our expectations. The room we were given was charming and full of character. The owners were very friendly and work very hard to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible.
very warm welcome at the breakfast table; ideal for passing through from austria to belgium. sat tv didn't work properly.
The family atmosphere in a small village
The staff was extremely helpful and attentive, restaurant was truly outstanding. Room was small but immaculate...fine for my needs. Facility lent itself to relaxation--very quiet. If I'm ever in the area again, this is where I will stay!
Excellent breakfast (which was included in the reasonable room price) and a great restaurant downstairs. Comfortable room. Unstable WiFi connection.
The hotel room was excellent as was the food in the restaurant, which is sourced locally. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. From our point of view there were no bad points during our stay.
rooms are very good
Quiet surroundings, comfortable beds, clean room and bathroom, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff, English speaking staff, free parking inside enclosure and close to room, good breakfast, efficiently run establishment. Many other cheerful guests, mainly OAPs for some reason, didn't ask. Recommended. Compared to other hotels on this trip, slightly overpriced for type and size of room. Decent without being luxurious. Good experience overall though.
Bed & Restaurant
perfect hotel, near to A65. Used it on way to CH.
The selection of local specialilties in the restaurant was excellent. NOt only food, but the aromatized vinegar was quite a new experience. For some reason I did not get authorization to the wlan, but was too lazy/tired to contact reception to ask as I found no clear (english) info about how to connect.
the room, bed, shower, lighting, window shutter, electric controls, breakfast, restaurant my room television could not get CNN
Good food and wine in the restaurant. The room was comfortable and a good size. We did not expect it to be on a main road in a fairly built up area. The description on the website did not really explain this.
ease and comfort
Very nice location in the center of an old style village which is filled with wine tasting houses and surrounded by vineyards. If you like wine you should definitely visit St. Martin. Chalet Raabe has stylish interior design and nice guest rooms. Breakfast was also very good. It was not possible to pay with Visa and hotel staff did not mention about this when we registered. At this price & comfort level Visa card really should be accepted.
It is a very comfortable hotel in an excellent location. Parking is onsite which is very convenient.
High quality of accommodation and amenities, relaxed atmosphere, good food (also the inclusive breakfast). On arrival, the receptionist was not particularly helpful when it turned out that check-in time was 1 hour later than advised in the booking confirmation. The picture shown on the booking site is not from pension Dalberg, but from a nearby building (no problem, just odd).
Old, small, cosy and historical hotel. Modern rooms. Focus on wine, history, culture. We arrived on a "Ruhe Tag". The hotel seemed closed. The reception and restaurant area was a little bit too dark. Parking facilites were OK, but hard to find (narrow streets).
Very good location in the center of St. Martin. Staff were a bit on the cold side, which was unusual for this very friendly town. Do not accept Visa -- cash or local bank cards only.
