Pros: Modern Bathroom. Good dinner.
Cons: Pretty old and worn furniture.
Cons: Would be nice to have a kettle at our room to make our own tea. I went to the reception to order two tea. The electrical was switched on and the rest I had to do myself. That cost me almost 7 euro! Take your own kettle to Norway!
Pros: It was very qint, clean, and warm with country feel atomosphere. The owner was very friendly. Breakfast was great!
Pros: We visited Storestollen Fjellstugu during the shoulder season so there was still some snow on the ground and all the surrounding cabins were still closed up from the winter. Nonetheless, our host was very kind and hospitable, made us dinner on short notice upon our arrival and delicious breakfasts each morning. The dining room has lovely views and there is, at this time of year at least, a quiet stark peace over the mountains and lake. We took several strolls/hikes as weather permitted to take in the unique area.
Pros: Hotel owner was very welcoming and helpful. The food was excellent with very generous portions. Rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. Hotel is really clean and well decorated throughout.
Offering closeness to nature, Birkelund is set in a mountain area 17 km from Geilo town centre. It offers basic cottages with a patio and shared bathroom facilities. All cottages at Camping Birkelund have a kitchenette with a fridge, cooking plates and a coffee maker. Each cottage has a seating area and wooden floors. Guests can relax in the sauna or enjoy a dip in the seasonal swimming pool. Children will enjoy the on-site playground with trampoline. Bicycles can be rented for free. A snack bar is located on site. Barbecue facilities are also provided. Popular activities in the area include hiking. Fishers will enjoy River Storåni and Lake Hovsfjorden, both within 500 metres of the property.
Pros: Pleasant location, amenities, and host, good value for the price. Sauna was a great bonus. I was enjoying 5 days here and got used to everything, so I felt sad to leave :)
Cons: With warm temperature, everything started to melt and paths became very slippery and with puddles. Would be really nice if hosts accounted for such conditions and used some anti-slip materials. Also, would be very nice if things like soap and paper towels were checked and refilled daily. The Internet was kind of working but rather slowly and with other difficulties, for example, VPN connection did not work. But these are all minor issues.
Pros: Nice little cottages in very peaceful surroundings, with a lot of facilities on the camping grounds. The campsite seems to be family run and everything here is made with love, so you feel really at home (even if you are in a public area like the kitchen). There is a sauna (which is free), a ping pong table, a grill area, table games in the kitchen and what not.
Cons: Nice place to stay
Pros: Nice place, but extremely unfriendly owner!
Cons: Got kicked out because of Coronavirus lockdown. Owner told me to leave as fast as possible, I should be out within maximum 30 minutes but clean up all the Cabin. As I had a lot of stuff to pack I could not do a perfect cleaning, but of course I cleaned. The man was so hysteric telling me to leave so I thought its better if I go, he will have to desinfect everything anyway personally because of all this Coronavirus panic. As I did not know where to go for that night, I just checked news on my phone about what was going on outside the camping. Then I got a message on my phone by the owner of the camping that I´ll have to pay a fee because I did not clean properly. So I went back in and asked what he wanted me to do, leave or clean? I can clean now if he wants and gives me proper desinfectant, but he insisted on me paying 400NOK fee and started to shout he would call the police if I would not pay his fine immediately and leave... So i payed the fee and drove all night to get to the very last ferry to Denmark next morning... What a disgusting way to earn some extra 400NOK in a situation like that!
Pros: Nice camping site in the wilds of Norway. Cabin was close to the facilities, which was good because it rained a lot.
Cons: No washbasin in the cabin.
Pros: The place is simple but have everything inside ! It have public facilities like kitchen and bathroom which are clean and spacious. The cabin itself is great ! warm and cosy
Cons: you have to pay 5 NOK per 5 Min in order to have a shower.
