quite They don't have free shuttle bus from airport.
Proximity to Airport Accomodations Friendly Staff
How easy it was to get there and to public transportation. The rooms were really clean. Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. There was no small store nearby to by things we forgot (baby items, soap etc)
Proximity to airport, modern, clean, typical Novotel business hotel It's not quite at the airport, no shuttle. You have to take a city bus from the airport to get there and it takes you 15 mins - inconvenient. The internet wasn't working well or at all, which, for a business hotel, is not acceptable.
I think that this hotel should have shuttle to the airport. Breakfast is good but very expensive.
The staff at the front desk and the cleanliness of the room. Bathrooms were well equipped Staff at the bar wasn't too nice and seemed a little overwhelmed with not that many customers
Price for parking is very expensive. Internet connection is very low and poor.
Very good location if you have a very early flight out of Munich. The bus stop was less than 100 meters from the exit and the total bus ride was about 5 minutes to terminal 1. A shuttle would be nice, but the bus comes every 20 minutes. The non smoking room was clean and was more spacious than expected. While this is probably a no-brainer for the seasoned traveler, the 25 euro buffet for dinner was unsatisfactory. In hind-sight we should have ordered room service with the fee, it would have been cheaper and possibly more palatable.
Expensive parking (21 eu p day), close to airport but not AT airport. Need to take bus to get there.
So clean, modern and welcoming all around. Parking is insanely expensive and breakfast at 21 euro per person does seem over the top. On the plus side, the breakfast was good.
Convenient location and helpful and friendly staff Expensive
Nice food. Suggest to increase the Chinese food. The wireless is popular right now. I have travelled in many country with free charge of the internet in hotel. Please consider about this.
It was clean
Staff exceeded expectations.
No restaurant inside the hotel.
We only stayed one night arrived late and the barman stayed late to serve us drinks, the room was first class and incrdibily clean. no
Simple. Clean. Comfortable. I would have loved to see free access to internet (there is by charge access available but still...)
Good continental breakfast. Very convenient to the airport. Single rooms are very small.
Too expensive for what you are getting. Also they charge you for airport shuttles...
Great location, minutes from the airport. Departure screens in the lobby keep you updated on flights and gates. Love that breakfast starts as early as 4 am for those early fliers and they put out free evening food when you get in late. Lots of families and seniors there when I came through as it is very good value for the money and extremely convenient. Clean and modern rooms; everything you need. Did not like that the wifi did not work in my room during my stay ... had to do calls and mail from the lobby. Problem with their authentication local staff could not fix.
Location Location Location cost of parking
Bfrekfast at 4 am. is really nice idea. There was some problem with my reservation from booking, but finally hotel was quiet empty so I got room.
The hotel can supply it's customer with no charge parking
Very convenient to airport, quiet, comfortable bed.
Nice clean hotel with excellent cuisine Sound isolation of the room
very nice rooms and quite large as well. excellent restaurant, good food and service. I think when you are located far from the airport the transportation to and from the airport should be provided for free in principle. WiFi signal is not that strong in all rooms.
we only stayed one night but we enjoyed our room very much. it was very clean and comfortable. we have tea and coffe in the room. we ate at the restorant and the food was very tasty.
Rooms tastefully decorated and all amenities extremely helpful. We had previously stayed at the Munich Vier Jahreszeiten, which was excellent, but for small pleasant details, the Moevenpick was more imaginative. Breakfast was outstanding--a gourmet delight. We liked everything.
Easy access from/to Airport, large rooms, clean bathroom. We had a room that smelling terrible from the previous smoking guest. We had to open the door for 2 hours with outside temperature in 6oC.
Unfortunately we stayed only one night, but enjoyed very much the hours we spent there, most important for us was the easy and very short time to get to the airport. I would'nt change anything.
The pay per view films were not working.
I had a long layover in Munich and need a place to rest overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the airport was most convienent.
Excellent value for a hotel in this area. Highly recommend for anyone. The hotel is very convenient to the Munich Airport. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bathrooms were warm and have all of the extras. The kitchen is excellent, serving a number of local German dishes at very reasonable prices. Breakfast was fresh, great choices and plentiful. The staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating The hotel airport shuttle costs EU 8 for each way.
Rooms and restaurant Choise in minibar is too small
very clean very comfortable well appointed room interesting design (central glass lift) location was too isolated, no shops for a long distance by foot staff did not speak English well enough, I needed to find shops but the girl did not explain it to me precisely (did not know 'left' from 'right') and I got lost Shuttle bus should be included in the price and it was not easy to find it at the airport, there was no signpost at the bus complex Hotel should offer all-inclusive deal at a good price, it does not Breakfast did not have any hot food, only cold meats, cheese, eggs, cereals, etc, compared to same hotel in Zurich airport the breakfast was not as good Hotel should offer a small kiosk with basic provisions plus telephone vouchers for making fixed line calls and a normal fixed line instead of the expensive phone you have there - it is a waste of time and money. Instead I will just use my cell phone. I prefer Zurich Aìrport Movenpick where I get a fixed line normal phone in the lobby.
large size of the room, good quality fittings
The hotel was very centrally located in garching, Just next to the S bhan station entrance only 20 mins to Munich central station or oktoberfest, Lovely hotel, with excellent variety in breakfast, Though expensive due to oktoberfest but should be good value for money otherwise The entrance to the hotel is a bit confusing if you come by a car guided by GPS, you have to enter through their Letoon restuarnt
Liked easy access from airport. We stayed at this hotel during an overnight layover......was perfect. Liked having food and beverage available as we arrived late. Friendly staff.
Spacious suite, very accommodating staff, comparable to Aloft or Element-type hotels in US No restaurant, only self-service "grab-n-go" food
We left the car at Vogel Parking garage Munchen Airport and spent last night before the flight at Moxy. Hotel is directly connected to a parking garage therefore we left our luggage in a car, pick it up in the morning and use a (free of charge) shuttle bus to Airport. Hotel staff was very kind, room was peaceful and they have everything what you need if you are hungry or thirsty. Shuttle bus should be included in a price
Very much a big problem this smoking . I was in a hall before the manager with the child. All smoked in a hall. And it not probably to accept. Therefore we have changed hotel. It is necessary to forbid smoking in hotel. For smoking there should be special places
Your staff was very helpful. The reception desk helped a great deal and should be commended.
Location Exagerated rate which did not equal to the offered service
The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms clean and modern. The facilites were conventient for the Munich airport. No issues--all was fine.
Nothing, thankfully it was an over night stay and an early flight out in the morning. The 18 Euros breakfast as advertised on the web site included an abundance of house flies in the dining area!!
Thourghly enjoyable stay. Dining was superb and staff only too happy to help. Would definitely stay with this company and in this hotel again
Relative cheap price; early bird breakfast; nice room The noice from the corridores came in to the room.
Location near the airport is excellent, clean room, very nice staff and organised well The cost of breakfast was high - 21 Euros for some cereal!! also the shuttle to the airport - 8 Euros - cheaper to take a taxi
nice hotel , with nice reciption non
Proximity to the airport, shuttle bus service although considered a bit expensive and very pleasant and attentive front desk staff Nothing disliked thank you for a pleasent stay on 2 occasions.
wellness facilities are great
Very overpriced relative to other local hotels. It's not really near the airport (20 min drive) so expect a 25 Euro cab fare. My room was clean visually but had a strong mildew smell. I didn't eat at the restaurant or have breakfast so I can't really comment on the food, but for $200 bucks you're much better off staying either in downtown Munich or closer to the airport, depending on your needs.
the hotel is good for familly
Great Marriott facility, convenient to Muenchen airport.
It's location. It is a few miles from the airport, but easily accessible bu bus and much closer than Munich. It is in the charming small town of Freising.
The bed and pillows Long wait for service for dinner, even by European standards, the head waiter was apologetic and I had not even made a complaint, breakfast too expensive
Emergency response by staff during a citywide power blackout.
Comfortable, clean and access to the international air port.
It was close to the train station, Friesling's city center, free breakfast was good, decor was nice and the beds and room were very comfortable. The staff at the desk were very nice and helpful. There was a shuttle for a reasonable price to the airport which is what we needed. They did not clean out the garbages and ash trays outside of the elevators so it stunk when you got off the elevator, the hotel had a pool party the first day so you couldn't swim that day and they were very unfriendly. They promised food and there was none to be seen.
Great staff and very comfortable. Nice little town with a good train service to Munich. It's not that close to the airport - around 15 mins drive, although there is a bus service.
Staff was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable Room became very hot in the middle of the night, but nothing that couldn't be fixed by opening the window.
Breakfast was delicious and versatile. Service Personnel at breakfast very professional as actually most of the stuff too. Very harmony like business hotel.
Compact but very good room planning
Very nice staff. Easy access to hotels, train, and the airport.
the service was great and the care for detail was really noticeable, hence the feng shui name.
Staff very very nice. They helped me for everything I needed. the position of the hotel very near to the center, station, restaurants. the possibility to have breackfast 24 hours per day no babybed avalaible. One 4 stars hotel without bar/eating isn't possible (bar service only in sommer or better....by summer wethear!!! )
Hotel decor was attractive. Bed was covered with a duvet intsead of a bed spread, making it easier to provide a clean bed for each new guest. Breakfast buffet included a variety of fresh foods and hot entres and the coffee was freshly brewed. Two minor things. There was no coffee pot or hot water pot in the room, and only one English language TV channel. I was there in June and the weather was cool, but in late summer, the lack of AC might be a factor to consider before booking.
The Reception and Restaurant staff were very obliging and helpful with a pleasing personality.
The staff was excellent, accommodating and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is also excellent - it is an easy walk to the university, to the downtown area with bakeries and restaurants, and also to some of the sights of Freising. the room didn't have air conditioning and it was quite stuffy on several warm days, but was relatively easy to cool off at night with the open window and the fan. As a business traveler, I also prefer staying in a hotel with a gym, but I didn't look for/check on this before hand, so this was my own problem. That said, there are some nearby trails where you can go walk/exercise, which is probably even nicer than a gym, anyway.
It is classified as an airport hotel, and Booking.com labels it as 6.3km away from the airport, in fact it is more than 10km away; also, the offer called "Park, Sleep & Fly Offer - Double Room" included an airport transfert for one person only and a charge of €18 for the other person, which is exactly the price for a taxi ride, so we eventually paid for the transfer of both of us, which can't be considered fair practice!
not liked at all. I sent a complaint email to the hotel, they sent a rude reply letter. This is so unhappy to see a service-sector company at 2010, they are running the hotel with an ancient mentaility and not customer oriented.
Great location. Good breakfast. No elevator. No alarm clock. Very noisy at night with drunken people in the street between 12:30 am - 3:30 am all three nights. Side note about village. No shops or resaturants accepted USA credit cards. (Hotel accepted credit cards) Brewery Tour cancelled. Terrible Gift shop at Brewery. No free tastings. Traveled 4,000 miles. Stayed in Freising for that reason.
Decent breakfast, they were on holiday so the bar and restaurant were closed on busy street
Friendly and helpfull stuf, beer served after midnight, welcomed even when we arrived after midnight Internet access only in restaurant, not in the room
Food, staff frendliness, wirelsss connection dificulties, no TV on English
Staff very accommodating. I asked for a taxi in the morning and got a free lift to Eichenried golf course instead The room floor was dirty and the carpet discoloured and old. The hairdryer did not work. Otherwise basic, but value for money!
is location they take more mony for exstra bad
Nice and clean, quaint town....altho hotel was 17 km from airport, owner drives shuttle to airport for a fee, very friendly.
country feel very much soo
Wrap-around shower curtain; breakfast selection; attendant stayed up to meet us despite our being late. Street noise.
Rooms are very clean and comfortable I arrived to the hotel around 10.00 pm, I asked something to eat, but they said kitchen is closed. I asked some bread to eat. They gave me 3 slice and charged to me. :) exciting..
This village hotel is a family-run business. Pleasing their clients is a priority. It's close proximity to Erding enables one to visit the fabulous local thermal baths or to conveniently catch a train for Munich. If you enjoy mingling with the local Bavarian crowd, you'll enjoy this hotel. Being located on the main thoroughfare was the only downside. My recommendation it to request a room facing the backyard.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful thus making our stay very comfortable. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast hours were very long, allowing for recovery from jet lag. There were many items provided at the breakfast meal. Close to subway and a 20 minute walk to the city center.
really geared towards people flying out of Munich Airport. Excellent and reasonably priced shuttle service.
Nice rooms, freindly staff especially those of the shhuttle service to the airport. Excellent pick-up service from the airport as well
The restaurant is right there on the grounds and had good food and service. The reception area was interesting and not "average." Family- run and it was clear that the family had their own life as well. Getting there was a complete hassle. I saw the address was on the train station just before the airport, so I got off there. big mistake! There is no "station" in fact, just a platform in the middle of no where. It was dark and they were building a road past there, so I had to walk, carrying my suitcase down to a road, where I was able to flag a taxi after a wait. 12€ to the hotel. Then they charge 6 for their shuttle in morning. I will not go back unless I am driving...probably stay at a hotel with free shuttle and go to the airport. Breakfast is not included.
I liked that the resteraunt was very close and was available at my liesure to eat breakfast and dinner. The snacks in the fridge wasnt a good idea. I assumed they were free with my room. Dinner could have been better with a little more options to choose from on the menu.
Cleanliness Facility was not proper. There was no tea/coffee maker in room. Atleast a water heater is reqd for drinking hot water.
Quiet. Nice diningroom for both dinner and breakfast.
Very nice décor. Very clean facilities. The widest selection of breakfast items on our whole trip.
Very nice and helpfull staff and Bavarian feeling.
The friendly service from a caring staff made our brief stay comfortable. Our visit was too short.
clean and tidy toilet was outside on the corridor.
Personnel and breakfast were very good for the price I payed :) The WIFI internet was not available in my room.
Clean, well kept, personal, free wireless that really works well. Breakfast with home made scrambled real eggs as you rarely see anymore. A pleasure to stay. What I needed was there. Taxidriver at airport did not know the hotel and needed 5 minutes more to locate it, while being close. The hotel is of course not to blame for that.
The breakfast was fantastic every morning. The hotel was good quality and even had a bar downstairs with free wi-fi and a TV. Also, the rooms were relatively comfortable and the hotel staff was very nice and responsive. The rooms were overpriced for the days we stayed there, most likely due to Oktoberfest. However the hotel was in a good location and a short walk from the train station.
The staff was very friendly, the room was roomy, clean and comfortable. It was located near the train to the inner city of Munich. Very practical.
Free internet Bed not very comfortable
Friendly staff, nice and quiet setting, there was no shower curtain in the bath so you got the floor all wet no matter how careful you tried not to. You could tell the room was previously occupied by heavy smokers.
This was our second time staying at Hotel Zur Post and we will definitely stay again. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming, and curteous. The hotel itself is very well kept and always comfortable. The free parking and free breakfast are a bonus as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
the room was very clean and nice. We liked a lot the bathroom and also the room was very big
The personal working at the hotel were very nice, always trying to help us as much as possible. Also the rooms were amazing, and the toilets incredibly clean and organized. The location of the hotel could be a negative aspect. Although is perfectly connected to Munchen with the SBahn S8 (which directly takes to to the Munchen Airport), it is half an hour or more from Muchen. In any case, it is easy to get there and the town where the hotel is located is very nice.
Outstanding staff. Convenient access to airport and downtown (Munich) by public transportation. Good nearby shopping. Free above-ground parking. (I've stayed there before, 2005, and expect to be there again when I'm using Munich as a base, certainly if I have a rental car.) Wireless internet access is a bit pricey at 12 Euro per 24-hour day. (They're not in the T-Mobile group.)
location, food n/a
This hotel is situation in a very friendly and delightful village. We enjoyed feeling part of the local community very much. It's a shame there is no air conditioning as the traffic noise is a bit of a pain when it's hot and essential to open the windows.
This hotel is not a four stars hotel. I like very much the locality where it's placed, but the hotel disappointed us.In my opinion,it is neccesary to make some new investments there.
It was not expensive, but not four stars! small room and not a comfortable chair and no free internet acces
Ease of getting about. All transport is between 50metres &300 metres from the hotel door only that the Sauna was still being re-furbished. We never got the use of it
24 h check in/out, good buffet breakfast, and nice rooms.
visited munich city
Nice, big room. Very modern. No air conditioning
When I checked out I realized that I could have saved money by booking direct with the hotel. My colleague booked direct and room incl Breakfast was 80 euros. My room was 90 euros and breakfast was an extra 13 euros. For this reason I won't use Active Hotels again, but will always check the price of a direct booking.
Great hotel with easy connection to airport. Large, airy room, quiet neighborhood. Restaurant excellent and breakfast buffet super. It is not a hotel for extended stay unless you don't mind taking the u Bahn into Munich which takes about 40 minutes. Will stay again next time I am in Munich, the night before departure.
The hotel, as well as the town it was in, is beautiful; the staff was friendly and the food and service at the restaurant / beer garden was excellent; and it is close to public transportation so it is easy to travel to both Munich and the airport.
the rural character.......easy access to public transport....close to munich and airport and still very quiet
Venue attached to hotel for lunch and dinner was great. Great food. Room was simple and clean. Staff a little unfriendly. Internet connection was a little costly. Also, a bit too far away from the city.
We chose the hotel for its location, which is a 5 minute walk from the S-bahn which links the airport and Munich city centre, so very handy for late/early flights. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, with a pleasant outside restaurant and beer garden.
I stayed this hotel during Oktoberfest with friends and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is only 5 min away from S bahn station which directly links to the airport and also Munich city centre. We could have a relaxing time at the swiming pool and sauna in the hotel after the crazy time at Oktoberfest, which was really good :)
dry warm and quite nice surroundings The staff don't make much effort if you are not a German local
Our stay at Hotel zur Muhle far exceeded our expectations for a family hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the pool area beautifully maintained, the rooms were clean and well equipped, the location to Munich was excellent, the rustic decor was very pleasant, and the food at the hotel's restaurant was superb. Our family and friends are looking forward to another visit at the hotel in the near future.
Hotel was very charming and within walking distance of the train to the airport and to Munich. Good breakfast buffet with lots of choices. It was available very early which we needed to make our flight. Incredible pool and sauna. I have never seen one like it. Ample parking. We were sorry that our stay was so short.
great breakfast, excellent location very expensive during Oktoberfest
Excellent swimming/spa and restaurant facilities. 4-bed room somewhat cramped.
The hotel is comfortable, room was calm (windows to the yard). Good service during the breakfast.
close to the train station to munich close to the rent a motorhome site not too expensive good meals the room close to the main road was noisy
Good value for money. Nice room, very clean. Shower didn't have a door/curtain. The bathroom was flooded after I took a shower.
Great staff - professional but family atmosphere, free wifi, nice breakfast, very close to the u-bahn, quiet. Lack of a lift, odd entrance.
Hotel was located in a quiet neighbourhood, facing a park. But still right next to the Garching train station We had difficulty finding the enterance of the hotel and the worst is that there its no elevator. Carrying heavy luggage to the 2nd floor was not pleasant. There is no seperation at the bathroom so after shower all bathroom was wet.
absolute great for going into Munich by Underground, close to city centre for dining out WLAN did not work
I really enjoyed staying there! clean, next to U6 and perfect breakfast Outside appearence does not reflect the hotel.
The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly, helpful, and the breakfast was good.
Apart from I was given to stay in a very low ceiling room, it is very quite which is good and it is very clean. It is very good value for money and I will certainly come back to the sme hotel again. My room has very low ceiling and it can be quite warm, but that is during the summer.
The room was big and really comfortable. The Hotel is perfectly located in the city centre and next to the Underground station to Munich There are no lift although the staff is always offering you to help with the baggage.
Good breakfast, very helpful staff.
