Le Virage is in a great location - convenient to everything in the old part of the city. The price was acceptable for the size of the apartment, and the lack of hotel staff. Breakfast at the Bishop's Mill was a plus - great place and convenient. The location, though great, is deceiving. It looks like a quiet and tranquil place, but in fact is very noisy until well after midnight. With all the street noise, it was difficult to get any sleep until about 3 a.m. I would also recommend that the Bishop's Mill be informed of guests who will be having breakfast there. We showed up on Sunday at 0830, and they were closed. A delivery man informed one of the bakers that we were outside and he let us in, but we nearly left since the notice on the door stated that they would not open until 1100 on Sundays.
good size room and great location. room had a lounge area and fridge with tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast not available until 8.30 which was a problem as I was on a business trip. bed was a little small if 2 people were sharing but great for 1!
Nothing. The disco opposite to the hotel was so noisy that I didn't sleep half of the night. The bed was too short and old (pit in the middle). Decoration was dated, remote control not working. Rooms were gloomy. And lthe last downside: the hotel offers no breakfast.
Covenient location Some of the bar/restaurant staff atthe time not very attentative
a little bit noisy, but very clean room. Man at the reception was nice. Very good value & location for the price. the disco in front of the hotel until 5am but you don't go there for sleeping at 11pm
Romwas small, but cosy ad clean. Shel in bathroom was rusting heavily. Only thing wrong.
Good location Bathroom very very small
The location and the staff were great The walls were paper thin and the hotel was extremely noisy
Excellent choice (location, menu, beer selection, comfort) for the given reasonable price. Free European style breakfast. Beautiful interior in the restaurant. Terrace with the view to teh markt. Pretty noisy in the morning both from the street (the windows are not isolated) and the neibours (this is an old building).
Great location Bathroom very cramped and a bit obtrusive in the room, though perfectly functional.
Small, quiet, placed in the central place, Nederland typical building , cosy, despite of it's narrow stairs
The staff was friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is great!
Excellent central location A scuffy run down hotel, with cramped accommodation. Very steep and narrow stairs. Outside noise.
It was more than OK for the price. I didn't have high expectations, but it was better than I thought it would be. Breakfast was simple, but more than OK. When you walk out of the hotel you're in the most crowded street right away, that's both pleasant and noisy, but we didn't mind the noise at night! Warm water at the sink and the heater both didn't work in our room didn't work, but the warm water knob of the sink was damaged. Although the heater didn't work, it was warm enough in the room (sunny days too). Sometimes it smelled a little bit bad in the room.
We liked the very central location. The heating was continually turned off during our stay and we had to complain to staff almost every day to turn it back on, one day the room had not been cleaned or beds made, the staff did not speak very good English which was unusual for the area
Heat did not work in room,
Le Bistro is located in the center of the tourist area of the town. Offerings include free internet and free breakfast.
It is quite OK (especially when you count it is maybe one of the cheapest in this town - at least we couldn't find cheaper one in all booking sistems). The room is confortable. The breakfast was also good. There is smell of mold on the stairs but we found it quite charming, like beeing in an old house. It is on the main street, just in the center of the town. The bathroom smelled a bit.
The location was good - right on the main thoroughfare They did not have any record of our booking.com reservation. The room we were given was not particularly clean and had no towels. Breakfast was miserable. The barman/receptionist tried his best to sell me a parking ticket which he new was not good value for us. The place smelt of mold and mildew and needs a good renovation. There wsa no internet as advertised on Booking.com. For 60 Euro for a double it was overpriced but then again the whole town of Valkenburg is overpriced - but very nice for an eveming's wining and dining.
The hotel is perfectly placed in the town centre The staff were not very helpful, the heating went off every day and we had to complain every day to have it put back on, the cleaning of the rooms was not very good
