Pros: Remote & Quiet. Large Shared Terrace. Rooms very clean. Food excellent. Special mention for Irene who looks after guests with joyful enthusiasm. You’ll need very basic schoolboy Spanish or plenty of patience. Brilliant area for walking / cycling / motorcycling.
Cons: All good. One night not enough to really relax into this place - try to book 2 nights if you want to chill properly!
Pros: Incredibly nice place to stay. We could have stayed there for many days but unfortunately were scheduled only one night. Great view to the surrounding countryside, very friendly stuff, very cosy, large beautiful rooms well cleaned. The dinner served by Julio was excellent, we felt like we were really welcomed customers (and the price - never eaten so well at such a low cost!). The breakfast was also excellent, country-style. Nice porch to spend time outside the room. Roses in the front yard!
Cons: The noise that came from other rooms' bathrooms was really annoying.
Pros: Food & service was excellent
Pros: La Cuba is set up in an isolated area that guarantees spectacular star-watching, if you arrive on a new moon night, don´t miss it. ¡ Dinner was in an intimate setting, the breakfast was generous. The hotel had the nicest lady welcoming guests.
Pros: We had a warm welcome, the staff was truly kind and friendly. Got good tips about the Maestrazgo region. Don't forget to visit Mortella, it's just a 20-minute drive away! The room was clean, beautifully furnished and romantic. Breakfast was delicious and more than enough, with local products and fresh fruits. On the evening we had a 4-course dinner with local wine at the restaurant, for only 15 euros, highly recommended.
Pros: Food was extremely good and the staff were exceptionally friendly and good.
Cons: Rooms are rather small and basic. Facilities, other than the restaurant, are limited.
Pros: Location is beautiful. Outside the lovely village of LaMula worth visiting. Food is great Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was not big but very comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast starts at 9am.

Pros: A fabulous place to stay with a lot of character and it’s very quiet Great Choice at breakfast . I made a mistake and wrote the wrong review for this hotel earlier....so sorry.
Pros: An excellent range of foods for breakfast with even a choice of where to eat it....upstairs or downstairs! The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was very good. A bottle of water and a chocolate tube sweet in the room was a nice touch.

Pros: A wonderful experience !
Pros: The hotel is beautiful. The attention to detail of the fixtures and fittings and the gardens are perfect. Staff could not be more helpful and food very good.
Cons: It was all just lovely
Pros: Excellent locations.
Cons: No mattress protectors! Very hot and sticky.
Pros: The village is in a remote part of Spain. That was what we wanted. Tourists who don't speak Spanish should come prepared with a good translation program on their smart phone, if they have one. The hotel has convenient access to parking and to the village. The staff allowed us to prepare our own breakfast at 8:00, although the cafeteria does not officially open until 9:00. Fruit and yogurt and sponge cake and bread for toasting were made available for us, as well as the facility to make our own coffee or tea. It was a simple, adequate breakfast buffet.
Cons: The supper hour of 9:00 PM is a bit late for the habits of many tourists, although perfectly normal for Spain. The breakfast hour is also rather late for people who want to get out hiking in the mountains. However, the hotel staff allowed us to serve ourselves earlier than the appointed hour, so this was no problem. There was one communication problem. Our reservation was changed from an apartment to two separate bedrooms, in an effort to satisfy our original request for rooms with twin beds. The change was good, because it gave us two bathrooms instead of one for four people. However, we weren't notified of the change, so we had made our plans expecting to have a kitchen. We did learn of the change, but only because we had rung up to double check. We really should have been notified. The only fault here was communication. The booking and the service were good in themselves.
Pros: The room was lovely and the view. The shower was large with plenty of hot water.
Cons: We arrived after a 6 hour drive, hot, tired, hungry and thirsty.... Our Spanish is not bad but the Spanish host spoke very quickly even when we said we did not understand, she continued in the same manner, which was not helpful. The room she slowed us was lovely. With a balcony and a stunning mountain view however she proceeded to tell us we were the only guests so the chef was asleep but the restaurant opened at 9 pm. She did not offer us any drinks, there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room and the mini bar was empty, not even a bottle of water was in the fridge, which was on but empty. We had two hours until the restaurant opened so we showered, in a good spacious shower and changed for dinner. We decided to walk down to the village and get a pre dinner drink. Many places were closed, one place would only serve residents and a very popular Spanish bar did serve us nice cold draught beer but when we asked for food they refused even though there was a pizza menu and they were bringing out plates of tapas to other tables. We returned to the hotel for 9pm. The sign on the door reassured us the restaurant was due to open at 9 which confirmed our understanding of what we had been told but despite waiting the restaurant did not open, it remained in darkness. We had not eaten since breakfast so as you can imagine we were not impressed. We think that they did not open because we were the only guests and they could not be bothered? However at breakfast we saw a menu for the evening meal with the previous days date so they had intended to open. We have never felt so unwelcome, thirsty and hungry in a hotel......

Pros: The staff
Cons: The food
Pros: Todos The food was muy bueno and the lady who runs this place is a legend
Cons: That we had to leave
Pros: It's a great place with an astoundingly beautiful setting in a remote area. A long drive to reach it over switchback roads but completely worth it. Paquita, the host is just brilliant and couldn't be more welcoming. Food was great, everyone else around really friendly. A rustic gem in the best sense. The photo shows the view from the bathroom and should give an idea of what you will meet.

Pros: Stunning location. Quiet rural setting with fabulous views. Friendly staff who worked hard to communicate with me despite my limited Spanish. Excellent restaurant. Comfortable room.

Pros: If you're passing this way, it's a good, clean, efficient place to stay. Good value, we paid 54 euro Inc breakfast.
Cons: Table in the room
Pros: I loved that someone was there to welcome us as it was in a back street ..high on the hill. So thankful someone opened for us as we hadn't said what time we'd arrive. Lady showed us secure parking which we were thankful for. A bit tricky to park but secure and garaged. Eventhough nobody understood English all was good and we understood each other. Everything was clean.
Cons: The air conditioner didn't work and there was noone manning the desk at reception to tell anyone. There outside temp was 35 degrees Celsius and there was no window to the outside to even get a breeze throughout the evening. The Internet didn't work in our room, only in breakfast room the next morning. So we couldn't book our accommodation for next day until the morning. It was a village in the middle of nowhere so maybe I expected too much. Coffee was great at breakfast but fruit was old.
Pros: Good sized room, secure parking, good breakfast, lift. Excellent value
Cons: Alcorisa itself has little going for it but is fine for an overnight stop
Pros: Friendly staff very little English but we made a do and google translate helps. Breakfast was good the bar restaurant next door serves food which is ok. Alcorisa is a very quiet town with basic facilities.

Pros: Excellent value with typical simple but good local food
Cons: Breakfast was basic but good and in line with the very good value costs.
Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful. Bar & restaurant on site.
Cons: May be a bit remote for some. The only bar / restaurant in the village. Bed a little hard for our liking.
Pros: Very remote area but pleasantly suprised with good clean room, very friendly owner/staff and nice authentic country meal in the evening. I liked this place but there is nothing else in the village to see. Four miles up the road the medieval village of Mirambar should not be missed a visit.
Cons: No options but this place to stay and eat but made very welcome. Limited breakfast. Room can get a bit warm and there is no air con.

Pros: We we’re motorcycling through Spain chose this Hostel de la Trucha as it looked like a good road and within our daily target range or travel distance. We were the only ones staying but made to feel very welcome. Food was plain but wholesome
Cons: Food could have been better but considering we were the only guests that night we can’t complain really the fact we got fed was a bonus.
Pros: An amazing experience. The location is very beautiful and the drive in down the hill is amazing. Some people may see this location as remote but this is a plus as far as I am concerned.
Cons: Not much.
Pros: The hostal staff were so welcoming, got us some diesel and made sure we had a great stay even though we only stayed one night. The building's history is fascinating and the setting is awesome. Our dog loved it! Comfy beds, great shower. Buffet breakfast was great but the evening meal was unbelievably good, particularly the trout. Their concern for us driving off in the snow was heartfelt, we would thoroughly recommend and hope to return. Go visit!
Cons: Nothing to dislike, very enjoyable stay.
Pros: Hotel was great, didn't look too inviting when we arrived (6 motorcycles). One hell of a nice shock when I booked in. Absolutely lovely, great rooms. They phone the hostel and the lovely lady reopened the door for me. No complaints, just smiles. It was comfy basic room, but everything I needed.
Cons: The breakfast was included, but limited to crispbreads and jam/cheese and lots of meat, plus a coffee. Unfortunately I don't eat meat so the host graciously brought me some cake.
