The building is in a colonial style with rooms set just off a beautiful, verdant courtyard. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the local area, including restaurants, cenotes, Mayan ruins, local wildlife, etc. The hotel is family run with the help of a few employees. Everyone we met was so nice and very helpful.
Pros: The staff was so helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and an asset to this hotel. We would have had a very enjoyable experience even without their help, but having their experience and knowledge at our disposal was invaluable. Absolutely exemplary.
Cons: You can't put toilet paper in the toilet, but hey, welcome to Mexico.

Cons: Although the man who checked us in was friendly, he seemed unfamiliar with his job; perhaps he was new. Forgot to leave us the key, didn't know how to unlock our safe (which we were never able to use), couldn't process our credit card.
Pros: Such a beautiful boutique hotel in a great location. The staff went above and beyond to help us with whatever we needed. Daily breakfast was excellent and make sure to ask about the liquor the hotel owners produce. We will stay again for sure.

Pros: This place was perfectly located in the center of town, and two blocks from the bus terminal. The staff was great and super helpful. Their included breakfast even offered omelettes! Make sure you rent bikes and visit some of the cenotes, Sumbalá was beautiful.
Cons: It's a youth hostel, so it includes the requisite half-naked, barefoot stoners, but they have private rooms.

Cons: Although in town, it is a bit of a walk to restaurants mostly because of the lack of decent sidewalks and walkways. Breakfast, as they tell you is just coffee, fresh fruit and toast. The toast is commercial pre-toasted toast so, hard and tasteless. They should get fresh bread from a local bakery. Fresh cut fruit was delicious.

Pros: This facility is attractive and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful, particularly the owners, husband and wife, who are exceptionally good at making their guests feel welcome and at home. The food - both breakfast and dinner - was good, and for the two non-vegans in our party of three the dishes and recipes very interesting, worth the experience.
