Hostal San Juan

We found the hotel to be very conveniently located and easily accessible from Alicante, friendly staff, nice swimming pool, quiet, good room service,

The restaurant in the hotel was great and people were very friendly. Moreover, it is right in front of the beach of San Juan. We were not allow to borrow the beach towel and there is no air conditioning.

The staff were excellent, especially reception. Very relaxed feel. Best fo all super location. Breakfast was ok but could be improved.

The hotel is just a few steps from a very nice beach away. City center (station Mercado) 20 minutes with a tram, every 30 minutes. From Mercado every 20 minutes bus connection to the Alicante airport. Simple breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m., but what you can await for 4 Euro only. Nice supermarket about 10 minutes by walk.The cleaning stuff was friendly an willing. The pool was clean and quite big and deep. There is not aircondition, fridge or TV in room. The hostal doesn't have a lift, so if you get a room on third floor in old building, you can have a problems. For example with a suitcase, because the stairs are steep and thin. The rooms in new part (next to the pool) looks better, with new furniture. Some of the reception staff is not really friendly, you go arround and they just ignoring everybody. When I checked out she just took they key and said nothing. Even goodbye.

As I only used Hotel for sleeping I found it very comfortable The 54 stairs up to third floor, after a long day walking it was a bit of a struggle,
