Good Design and room quality, nice view of the mountains and countryside... Price is very reasonable and staff is very kind and professional. Breakfast is very, very poor and not buffet... TV on the room is LCD, but could be larger... There is no indications to the hotel and only had chance to find it because checked in internet maps previously.
Nice room, good value for money The receptionists were not welcoming. Location, dificult to find.
nice location, clean and modern the restaurant was closed in the evening
Modern, clean and confortable hotel very few minutes from El Espinar.Good to stop by one night over you journey.Good value for money. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. A car is an absolute must
A good combined location to visit Segovia and all of the palaces to the north of Madrid without paying city prices. Free (but not secure) internet Wifi. I'd recommend this as a cheap 3 star because of location. We stayed an extra night because of it's convenient location. The restaurant is never open. The cafeteria food is poor quality and deservedly cheap but staff mostly friendly. The breakfast is skimpy, poor variety and the breakfast service staff very surly. Not worth paying higher prices for.
This hotel is well placed for visiting Avila,Segovia, Salamanca and El Escorial. The hotel is modern, quiet, and there is generous parking and a lively restaurant bar. Our booking included breakfast but when we arrived in the breakfast salon 45 minutes before the latest time we found little orange juice, bread, cereals and lukewarm coffee. A little more attention to detail is required here!
friendly staff, reasonable breakfast. extremely quiet/peaceful. very remote, short drive to nearest village. the bathroom was not very clean. take a torch if using the underground carpark at night! ...very Twin Peaks?
The hotel needs refurbishment. Paint peeling. The furnishings were shabby and the toilet did not work. Air conditioning was extremely poor. Hours of swimming pool were restricted - not open until 5pm on saturday and not at all sunday afternoon. Swimming cap compulsory but not provided free of charge. Nowhere to sit outside. Pool remained covered even though outside temperature was 28 degrees
It was a comfortable and relaxing hotel, the hotel staff was more than accomodating. That I was not informed that the hotel was not in short distance of the town I was visiting but rather 22km away.
Hotel was conveniently located to Motorway, Free Wi-Fi In a strange gated community - somewhat run down. Hotel rooms very tired. Breakfast Buffet looked like it had been out for hoiurs.
Excellent service and delicious dinner at the restaurant. Very efficient and friendly check-in/check-out staff. The location was convenient for visiting El Escorial and the surrounding area, well-situated for accessing the highway system. The room, while not spacious, was clean, modern and quiet, with a pleasant view of the hills. A nice value!
staff was good , rooms were excellent , good location near freeway breakfast buffet was lacking
The staff were very accommodating, and the hotel was modern and clean. The location was perfectly situated outside of Madrid with access to many to many surrounding side trips.
very modern and new hotel, excellent and high quality furniture
A good value hotel, pleasant and helpful staff, dinner restaurant had a good choice Breakfast just consisted of juice, bread, croisant & coffee. The direction map on the website requires improving
I worked in my bedroom. Breakfast didn't open early enough.
It is very clean and smells like flowers ( good for people who like flower smelling places) It is in the middle of nowhere so have a car. The water is constantly cold even when you put it on the hot setting. The rooms are warm but the bathrooms are arctic temperatures as well as the lobby and hallways. Bring a kettle to get your hot water.
Price reasonable and buffet breakfast with good variety... Old style room decoration, noisy climatization system...
Cleanliness. Damaged furniture in the room. Something out of the day menu has add-on price.
Friendly staff, nice rooms. Room was too hot and was too close to the main road to open the windows.
The hotel staff in the morning excuses itself for poor service and make me a 10%discount which partially compensate the inconvenience The air conditioning did not work , the tv did not work, the hairdrier did not work.
Nothing was good. Very far from station, no limousine service. Very far room from stairs,
The breakfast included
They had an unexpectedly good interenet connection The television was not working properly
the food was very good, and we had a very good peaceful nights sleep. we did find the beds a bit hard.
The kindness of the staf The indications on the road. Without GPS I think it would be a bit difficult to find
Excellent bathroom and comfortable room overall. Staff pleaseant and I was glad to have the use of the Hotel garage for the security of my car The Hotel Location is good as a base, but its surroundings were a surprise and not good - amongst car dealerships.! The double glazing did not block out the sound from the motorway, nor the noise from the teenage revellers from a club that emptied at 3.00am. The breafast lacked any fresh fruit, but was otherwise generous. The evening meal we had was bady rushed.
It is conveniently situated near Euroforum, where i was attending a medical meeting The room was rather small for 2 persons.
optional Breakfast was poor value
Very, very close to the old city and the monastry The breakfast offers little choice
Free wifi Breakfast is starts late.
The location couldn't have been better to see the Monastery. The wifi was very good The walls are so thin you could hear your neighbors talk and laugh. It wasn't too funny at 1:30 in the morning.
Ideal situation for the Valley of the Fallen and the Monastery of El Escorial, in fact the hotel is opposite and some rooms have excellent views. Staff are very helpful and the rooms large and comfortable. Parking is difficult. Some Pay and display spaces are available opposite.
Proximity to El Escorial. Minibar was locked and we were not given a key. No free tea and coffee available as stated in the brochure.
The hotel was nice & clean & nice little town. Easy walk to everything.
Conveniently close to the City centre and 10mins from the Palace.
The room was really nice, everything was clean and comfortable . Breakfast was good with lots of choices and the staff was friendly. The hotel is located only a couple of hundred meters from the bus station and close to the famous monastery of San Lorenzo. Some of the staff, even receptionists spoke only Spanish, which is a bit strange since they welcome people from all over the world and have a natural heritage on their doorstep, attracting a lot of different visitors.
Visited El Escorial
Central position of hotel Entrance to car park very narrow. No restaurant/bar open at night, nothing to say breakfast times.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Restaurant is good and not too expensive (I had for dinner a huge dish full of grilled vegetables, a big salad with letice, tomato, sweet corn, tuna, eggs and sparragus plus a cup of tea, all for 20 euros VAT included. It was enough for two). Most important: This hotel has its own parking (I only recommend it for small cars. But There is a big public parking very close in next street)
Excellent value for money, plenty of typically spanish restaurants closeby, nice room and bathroom with whirpool in the bathtube. Very honest breakfast. The restaurant is closed on Monday. Easy to park the car. nothing
They need to have the availability for late check out if applicable for the traveller...
location small room
Very friendly and attentive staff. Good restaurant. Room was comfortable and warm.Plenty of space. We had a bit of trouble finding it, but staff were very helpful when we phoned them to say we were lost.
Friendly and helpful staff, quiet peaceful surroundings, a short walk (10m) to shops and restaurants. Very good value for money. The window didn't open very far which might affect the air circulation in the room: it was a little bit hot. Then again, it was the middle of August so maybe that's a better explanation. The fans in the room work well and keep the room fresh.
Location. Nice room The Hotel was satisfactory. The non smoking policy is not adhered to. We had to have breakfast in the bar area which was a smoking area.
reception staff very friendly. Rooms comfortable. Good location for travelling around the area Breakfast was pretty basic and not the best. Hotel restaurant very over priced and the rooms were dated and needed re painting.
Flexibility of hotel staff; services; cleanliness of your room
Very helpful and friendly staff. Extremely good value for money. A large comfortable room. Achoice of tapas or formal restaurant both reasonably priced. Ideal for exploring Segovia, Avila and Escorial area. A short car journey to Vilaalba for the train to Madrid
The balcony and view was marvellous A Wedding party on the second night meant we couldn't use the lounge and they were noisy until 3am going to bed. Room a bit cold. Noisy at front of hotel from road (no double glazing).
Comfort and cleanliness. An elevator would be good for heavy luggage
clean, nice rooms. friendly staff. music from nearby bar lat in evening.
The hotel was clean and the staff were very nice. The shutters were all pulled down and not able to open them (we arrived quite late and tried, but were very noisy and did not want to disturb other guests. We tried again in the morning, but the would not raise). There was also no air conditioning in the rooms and because we could not open the shutters & doors, it was stifling. The room was also booked as a triple, which turned out to be a standard double (two twin beds) with a roll-away cot pushed in.
The location near the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains. The hotel has potential to be nice, but it is badly in need of some maintenance (for example, the parquet in the floors was loose and popped up when we walked across the room). There is a large and completely open center staircase. All the noise from the bar and lobby funneled straight up through that opening to our rooms on the top floor. At 1:00 a.m., after trying to sleep through the noise for hours, I went downstairs and asked the front desk to please turn off the loud music and break up the party going on in the lobby. They did it, but it was a very frustrating experience. I wouldn't stay there again because it's just too loud.
Comfortable room, good value for money, especially with buffet breakfast included.
I enjoyed my stay. The staff was very helpful and nice. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family!
location the hotel could use a facelift
Nice hotel in Nordic style with very big and clean rooms for a very affordable price
The view Restaurant
Very friendly and helpful staff, easy access from Madrid, Pool, access to mountains, lively social scene in nearby Navacerrada No air conditioning - but in fairness it was cooler here in mountains
Location and easy access
Large warm comfortable room with a fantastic view. A complementary "ski pack" full of goodies. Heated indoor pool and games room. Very friendly staff. Very short drive into Navacerrada and restaurants. Athough the breakfast was good the evening meal menu del dia was appalling. The food was cold and tasteless.
The area and the view from balcony were beautiful!! The town was deserted, must have been off season.
Location and view We could not acess to the swimimg pool during the stay because the vigilant did not work at Sunday and Monday... poor activities for childreen
I liked the location and views in the mountains, but easy to find and reach by public transport, as a contrast to the city environment of Madrid, and the room / facilities were good value for money. We were poorly received on arrival. The receptionist, who had not been working there for long (as she later told us), failed to check / remind us that we had booked the Romantic Offer for 2 including dinner, and gave us a negative response when we asked if coffee or tea was available in the room. As a result we went down to the village to look for something to eat and missed having the dinner at the hotel that was included with our booking but which we had forgotten about at the time we checked in (early evening). However the next day the management agreed to give us a free lunch instead. So we left more or less happy with our stay.
The facilities in the hotel are good, snooker, ping-pong, indoor and outdoor swimming-pool. Large bedrooms. Good for kids. Employees are nice. The Restaurant served the worst possible dinner on Valentine's Day. The hotel is quite old faction. The beds are very uncomfortable.
good sized room, clenliness ,convenient for visiting monestry, goodlocationfor town center, bars and resturants, interesting visit. very modern furnishings but not comfortable to sit in for long, bed very hard but overall ok
great breakfast with lots of variety
Our visit to the Escorial, my husband had never been there. I thought a refund to my credit card would probably be impossible, since they had charged us in July. But I asked them if they could give me a voucher for another one of their hotels in order to avoid a total loss. I was told no.
Decoration rather modern. Hotel is clean and breakfast more than acceptable. Ideally located at the center of the city. Definitely, no sound isolation between rooms and very poor quality of the matresses. Water pressure was not constant and shifting from very cold to very warm constantly. As usually with this kind of "negociated" prices, we were directed to a very small room above the hotel bar. This makes you think you belong to second zone clients. No parking within the hotel except the public one that charges 0,80 euros per hour.
