I Liked the size of the rooms and bathroom facilities. The dinner was poor and the breakfast.
The staff were very friendly. The rooftop pool was larger than others I,ve experienced and the food was ok.
Comfortable spacious room. Excellent location close to beach and restaurants. Short distance from Malaga/Nerga.
We had a large clean room; atmosphere is luxurious. Pool was already closed despite outside temerature around 25 degrees (October). Breakfast is very very minimal, even for spanish standards. We stayed only 2 nights, and if we stayed longer we certainly would have to have breakfast elsewhere.
Air condition was working but inadequate
It was incredible value for money No
relaxing atmosphere nice food friendly staff clean rooms very helpful spacious rooms
Pleasant hotel staff. quiet rooms. central for Torre Del Mar and its facilities.
The views from our balcony were fabulous, & its proximity to the beach is convenient. The buffet breakfast is also great. The room was a little smaller than the one we stayed in last year, & there was no minibar.
It was pretty much what I was expecting for the price Although equipped with a good machine, one evening at 11 pm the bar girl would not provide a coffee when we returned after a meal out, as she had cleaned it for the night! This seemed strange as it is the time most Spanish go out for the evening
The hotel in itself is fine. I did not like the location of the hotel. You need to keep your curtains closed during the stay because you are too close to other buildings. The nighttime is very noisey.I suggest the rooms need to be doubled glazed better.
We really enjoyed the rooftop entertainment area, with the jacuzzi, sunbeds etc.The hotel staff were all friendly and the room was clean and good size with bathtub and balcony. Location was also excellent, one street back from the beach, which was still close enough to put you in the thick of the action (restaurants, shops etc)
Comfortable room & good food A lot of noise travelled up the open stair well. The addition of a kettle & hospitality tray in the room would be good.
good weather, having a balcony, receptionists very helpful one in particular sp0ke very good english and was very pleasant bed not very comfortable mattress a bit hard
Great sunroof with jacuzzi baths, central location, friendly and helpful staff. The quality of the breakfast is sub-standard compared to the rest of the services. Somewhat overpriced.
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The beds were not comfortable and the coffee was dreadful.
Very central. Muy cerca para todo
Clear rooms, comfortable beds. Food was not good - the plates and glasses at breakfast were dirty. Exact same offer every morning.
Beautiful setting. excellent swimming pool facilities. The hotel is not clearly sign posted. Even with GPS, had trouble finding my way.
This is supposed to be a luxury hotel. They certainly charge luxury prices especially at the weekend when we found the price doubled. The hotel boasts 2 luxurious buffet restaurants but says that both restaurants are only open during peak season. It does not mention that the à la carte restaurant is closed unless they have 80% occupancy so you end up with buffet every night which is very average to say the least. In fact most of the hotel facilities are closed unless they have 80% occupancy. It’s as if they decide that it’s not worth making the effort unless they are 80% full which with the Spanish currently in recession will not be easy. To say that this hotel is big is an understatement. I’ve stayed at smaller hotels in Vegas. The 2 ice machines were broken. It advertises air-conditioned rooms but we went at the beginning of May and they hadn’t turned it on. It was hot! The hotel is designed as a castle square with two outdoors pool arrangements. The one inside the hotel walls is a huge labyrinth of themed pools which kids will love. Outside to the back of the hotel is one of the best looking infinity pools I’ve seen. The problem with the infinity pool is the bar is closed unless 80% full. You have to long walk back through the hotel and out to the only bar which is open. The daytime or evening entertainment is non existent unless it’s 80% full unless you count bingo as entertainment! Oh and you really will have trouble finding it even with satnav.
beautiful pools and garden
The staff were happy and very willing to help with even the smallest of problems . Very relaxed atmosphere for me and my family . I do not have any complaints my stay was thoroughly enjoyable .
The best for us was the large out-door pool. The hotel name indicates spa and Luxury and we expected a quite, comfortable and wellnes oriented hotel. But we missed all of it. It might be a perfect hotel for large families which looks for "all inclusive" and likes to enjoy (and make) loud noise - not only by children. Unflexable stuff, Mini Save only available against 4,30 Euor per day made our stay not very enjoyable.
The room was good and the swimming pools and surrounds were very good. There were only buffet restaurants open and no opportunity for a light meal.
The infinity pool and the landscapping even thou all the fountains were switched off and the position of the hotel the room was nice and well equiped.but laking in toiletries for 4 star. The dinning room and the food was not nice and the plates were not washed properly chipped glasses and cracked cups sloppy run operation it let down the hotel , for that reason I would not go again, our saving grace was the Calaballo Restaurante below ,the hotel
Sit on the balcony and see the sea. Sound travels
very clean well decorated throughout my room had beautiful tiled bathroom, good sized balcony, wifi and lift. Great unrestricted sea view and good staff. This hotel gives a high level of quality better than some 4 star hotels. my room had a T fall that meant that if had been with my wife she would have to shrink to 1.5 meters which is not indicated by description.
The location is superb, parking was not difficult. The recption was excellent and the room was very clean and well appointed. Overall a very good hotel.
Difficult to find the hotel as name is not easily seen from thr road outside the hotel.
Lovely hotel in a great position over looking the promenade and very close to bars and restaurants
I enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the view of the promenade from the hotel front door. .I didn't have a room with a view of the beach. The room was rather small and cold in the evening. I was disappointed and surprised there were no tea and coffee-making facilities in the room.
excellent location, friendly helpful staff, 24 hr access would like tea/coffee making facility in room
Well placed, sea views, easy parking nearby. Free internet. Friendly staff
convenient for beach and town nothing is perfect and I waqs there to enjoy myself not nitpick
clean, friendly and excellent value for money, really enjoyable stay, would highly recommend this hotel. there ws nothing not to like
The staff were very friendly and helpful, it felt very comfortable being there. The towels were extremely thin and felt like sandpaper.
We liked the construction, decoration and location. The staff were very friendly
It's a tranquil place away from the beach front and up on a hill, so there's always a little breeze. Very nice pool. Although the view is nice, the immediate surroundings aren't particularly pretty.
A most agreeable stay, friendly staff, clean. The new proprieters are making a good job of looking after guests. Some of the old reviews don't reflect the effort that is now being made by them!
Close to the beach, good value for money.
It was not far from the beach, wiev from the room is beautiful. Room was clean. Beakfast was not so good... Limited parking place. The beds were not comfortable.
I did speak to your office on Tuesday 20th January as I am not happy that on the web page for the hotel it say’s In the evening, relax and unwind with a cool drink and some locally caught, grilled sardines – Santa Rosa’s specialty. I can confirm that for the duration of the stay the hotel did not supply evening meals or serve cool drinks.
Beautiful sea view; nice, friendly staff; clean room; proper breakfast
Beach, relaxing, eating out No tea or coffee in room
Basic hotel, poor service on bar, poor english by personnel but very friendly, great location for beach, very basic breakfast but for the price it's oke. see above
excellent location; good breakfast included; great value for money.
As guests of the Santa Rosa Hotel we thought the cleanliness of the room was very good, and the staff were very helpful at reception. 1) The holder for the shower head was broken. 2) The shower curtains could do with being renewed. 3) There was no remote control for the air conditioning unit.
Nice, spacious room. The hotel is right on the beach. Free parking. Breakfast is OK. No direct access from the waterfront of the hotel to the beach.
good location, good staff. too noisy during the day.
Hotel Las Americas is an excellent choice for a beach and town holiday in Torre del Mar,. It is very near the seaside and there are plenty of good shops and restaurants close at hand. I enjoyed walking along the promenade which will be even better soon due to a complete renovation project presently in progress. The hotel was very clean, my room was comfortable and the staff were exceptionally helpful. The lady in charge even offered to carry my rather bulky luggage upstairs for me ! The seaview from my balcony was really superb. Altogether I was very pleased with this great value hotel booking.
Good sea views No lift and very noisy. Breakfast a bit of a fiasco as you had to go to another hotel a few minutes walk away. The only member of staff on duty in Las Americas did not know the breakfast times and there was no information in the bedroom. We had to explain who we were at the other hotel who misunderstood us at first.A slip of paper to be handed in would have been preferable.
excellent value for money, staff very friendly and helpfull,
Very friendly and accommodating staff Can be a bit noisy on Fridays and Saturdays due to location.
The food at the hotel in which we ate La Torremar , it would seem that we were the only people staying in Las Americas The room was very small, could only open half the wardrobe because there was a bedside table jammed right up to the second half. There, could not use the drawers at all. The bed was extremely uncomfortable ans only one very small thin pillow.
The room was fairly large and spacious. The hotel had character. The location was great, could see the beach from the balcony. Clean towels and beds made every day. Only complaint would be the reception opening hours, but the hotel is very close to where you can collect/drop off your keys.
breakfast was pleasant. room was bright with a nice view of sea and boats. no room to relax in other than bedroom just a b and b rather than hotel.
uncrowded, quiet, pleasant staff, practically on the beach, relaxed not really, maybe the beds could be a little more comfortable
playing golf at baviera
Great value for money
The convenience and general position. Good facilities, lovely view from the room. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast adequate.
Well situated littele hotel. Nice view over the bay of caleta. But it was cold, when we where there and the heating did not work.
good and clean but brkfast completely unimaginative and served by those of the staff least able to do so, which spoiled an otherwise good stay see above
Staff were very cool and nice, If we needed anything we just had to ask (it was kind of a family business). You guys better choose the seaside room, you pay 20Euro extra, but at least you'll have the sea view, and that will spare you the car noise. the room we picked was facing the main road, so it was quite noisy
The food at the restaurant was excellent and a great value. The WiFi did not work at all during our stay.
My sister and I found this an excelent place to stay, the family at the hotel were very kind and helpful.
Friendly and very clean. There was no faciliity to get any drink aty all and we had been travelling many hours - not even a drink of water could we get.
Used it before so knew it was suitable for our needs and stay, staff very helpful and friendly. Not a 'dislike' but tea/coffee making facilities would be useful.
Very friendly family run hotel, good value for money, and accessible to both coast and hills for walking It's location in village on through road makes it it very noisy throughout the night at weekends with cars and motor cycles going up and down outside the hotel
The restaurant food was very good and hotel was quaint. Bad location
Family run. Elegant rooms, recently refurbished - centrally located in the old part of Torrox. A pleasant alternative to the anonymous hotels on the Costa.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Village is pretty Car park is a long way away. We were not given Hotel rooms, but an Apartment 100metres away, which didn't have WiFi or aircon.
Small and friendly, quiet village location.
