9.5 Excellent
Pros: What a gem of a place! Everything looks fresh and new. The room we got had a good-sized sitting room and bedroom. The shower was great (once you figured out how to operate it thanks to the helpful labels). Our friends got the 2-bedroom apartment and it was big enough and well appointed for a long-term stay. Bed was comfortable and the place was very quiet. So much value at such low price is hard to come by. We paid at check-in while we were in the reception building and check-out was as easy as dropping the keys in the mailbox. The town of Belmonte is beautiful with its castle and windmills; highly recommended. If we ever find ourselves in the vicinity again we would definitely return to this hotel. Again, this is one of the best value hotels we have ever stayed in.
Cons: Nitpicking actually, but rooms have a coffeemaker (good thing!) and there are packed madeleines for breakfast, and there is no savory option. Again, this is nothing as there are plenty of bars around where you can get your own breakfast and a large spread of options cannot be expected at this price point. If getting there by gps, plug in the actual address of the reception building, not the name as there have multiple buildings in town. You get the key to the front door and to the room, entrance/exit is self catered.

Pros: Everything!! The owners were super friendly and waited especially for us to arrive. They gave us a tour of our rooms and a local map, which was super useful. We booked two roons and both were homely, comfortable and lovely. There was a selection of breakfast things, coffee, tea, juice and milk laid out for us. This was a lovely suprise as we weren't expecting breakfast. It was really good value for money too. This is a lovely place to anyone who is needing a place to stay near or in Belmonte.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loads of character, friendly and helpful staff. Provided a domestic plug so I could add a some charge to the car (2 kW, 10amp). Clean tidy large Aircon rooms. Bar and restaurant. Check timing of restaurant as it was closed the day we arrived, Monday. Found a Pizzeria Dalex a few km away.
Cons: Didn't realise how off the beaten track, my fault for not checking, but great for a real feel of rural Spain.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building well converted with many original features. Friendly staff. Good local craft beer.
Cons: I chose to stay the night of the fiesta patronal so there was loud music till 4am - not the hotel's fault.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good position in town with safe off road parking. Breakfast.
Cons: Bed a little too firm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Village was miles from anywhere and couldn't get more authentic Spanish than here. Biggest attraction in this Don Quixoti part of the world is the absolutely splendid Belmonte castle which is a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Hotel has adequate free private parking. Very good breakfast.
Cons: Maybe because it was off season the hotel had no evening restaurant, only serving morning breakfast. Only one decent restaurant in the sleepy village that was open. Church bells ring on the hour through the night.

Pros: Lots of history in this hotel, stunning restaurant and food was excellent and so was the waiter, we let him choose our wine which was a local red, Very reasonable prices. Beautiful gardens with swimming pool. Exceptional receptionist, nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building itself was amazing. Unfortunately we were only there for a short time and don’t know Anything of its history, but it’s theme was all about wine making. The temperature outside was up to 39 degrees but the building , bar, cafeteria and restaurant were kept cool. We had two very good quality meals accompanied by excellent wines at reasonable prices. The room was perfectly clean and there were adequate toiletries. The bed was very comfortable. We had a problem with the air conditioning in our room but it was remedied as soon as we mentioned it. When we arrived Maria noticed that I have a slight disability and offered to change our allocated first floor room to a ground floor room. I was very grateful for that. The waiter, I didn’t get his name, responded to my request for help in choosing wine to go with our meal and we really enjoyed his recommendation. A good outside car park with some shelter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious accommodation and public areas, with excellent furnishing and high level of cleanliness.
Cons: Small amount of road noise and no tea making facilities in room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The evening meal was great, in their restaurant. My kids enjoyed the pool, even though it was heavily chlorinated. The room was comfy, but quite a walk anywhere. A great stop-off, heading south.
Cons: In the morning, we were hoping for breakfast, but nothing was laid out and there was nobody to ask. It was all a bit strange, maybe information in the room, might help. Finally, I found someone in the bar, but we handed our keys in and left, to get breakfast elsewhere.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Coming from Murcia on the N301 it was very easy, you can see the big H sign from the roadside and you just turn right and you are there, loads of undercover parking, plenty of space to walk your dog, you have to go to the gates and press the buzzer to go through to the hotel if you have a dog as otherwise you are going through the bar area, there are no stairs so everything is on the ground floor, good size room and bathroom, everywhere was clean, people were complaining about it being dark in the hotel but it's the same in any large hotel, they have lights on the wall all the way down the corridors that you can press, the restaurant is massive but we decided to eat at the bar, a chicken sandwich and some KFC like chicken, 7 small beers, glass of red wine, and a gin & tonic was €27. For breakfast we had tostada. There is a large secure and private sandy children's area with swings etc, just slide open the double gates in the car park and past the green hut. Checking in and out was very easy. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a pit stop.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This old bodega has been turned into a characterful and spacious hotel and superb restaurant. The photos do not do it justice. It was spotlessly clean and excellent value for money.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: The bed was nice and comfy. We had a menu del dia for 10 euros at restaurant acapulco about 10 min walk away. People were very friendly.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: If you are on a long drive and need to stop to shower and sleep it’s perfect. Cheap clean comfortable quiet. A very good pit stop for the night. Secure parking too
Cons: The food for dinner was human fuel ... edible but all out of a packet and microwaved would be my guess. But at least you can eat and not have to bother to go out if you are literally there as a pit stop.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We used the hotel as a stop over when travelling across Spain. it was clean and comfortable. a good choice, especially as there was a Medieval Festival going on in the town. the secure garage was a bonus for us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, modern hotel with a large spotlessly clean room. perfectly located for us in the centre of town and half way to Madrid from Alicante. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent value at 3.50 euros each and good quality. They have free, covered and secure parking right next door.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and a good location.
Cons: No restaurant open over the weekend so unable to get a meal after a very long journey.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was spacious and beds were wonderful. We had no noise from other rooms. We loved the memory foam beds. We ate dinner at the hotel and had the inclusive meal. The food was fine, we appreciated the included wine and water. There is a park across from the hotel if you need a quick breath of air. The locked parking (included with the room) was excellent for us since we were traveling with a lot of luggage. Staff were polite and professional. There are other restaurants nearby if you don't want to eat at the hotel. The Italian restaurant half a block from the hotel looked really nice and affordable.
Cons: All was fine.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The Hotel building is fabulous, the renovation is terrific and the main lounge stunning,
Cons: Access to and from the hotel is terrible, badly signposted and not fit for modern traffic. the town is run down and dreary, the hotel offered no lunch or dinner or room service. There was a do called gala dinner at 9.30 pm, not great when you are hungry at lunchtime. Its pathetic a 4 star hotel can't provide food for its guests. The staff didn't seem to care. The bar staff in the terrace weren't interested in serving drinks, but engrossed in polishing glasses 4 hours before dinner. The fridge in the room was warm and no tea or coffee facilities. I'd like a refund, poor value for money, despite great Building.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views of the castle
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: An outstandingly beautiful hotel. Amazing the way that the ruins of a 13th-14th century palace has been incorporated into a modern hotel. (The architects must have loved this project.) The hotel is like a museum filled with all kinds of historical details and artifacts. The rooms are huge and comfortable with great views. The beds are extremely comfortable. The staff were always present and very helpful. THE CAFETERIA STAFF IN THE EVENING WERE SUPERB and we had wonderful tapas and drinks. Belmonte Castle is 20mintes walking away and should not be missed. So much history and well documented with the video guide. Also take a walk around the town of Belmonte, although small, is filled with history and very good basic restaurants. Ask for a map from the reception staff.
Cons: I absolutely loved staying at this beautiful hotel. But unfortunately there was no fresh fruit at breakfast. There was an incredibly large and unappealing abundance of rather stale and tasteless pastries. There was however a good selection of hot items and lots of very good coffee. Also the afternoon staff person at the cafeteria was rather surly and would not serve us things that were obviously on offer. So we went into town and had a wonderful meal and cancelled our dinner reservations. THE CAFETERIA STAFF IN THE EVENING WERE SUPERB and we had wonderful tapas and drinks.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Room was very spacious and king size bed extremely comfortable. And all very quiet. We also loved the combination of historical stones with modern design. Ideal for couples.
Cons: The pool a bit tiny
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Stunning location in a brilliantly restored medieval palace. Excellent restaurant all located in delightful Man of La Mancha country en route from Valencia to Madrid.
Cons: Hot water was a little intermittent and bed a bit firm for our preference.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Rooms have good facilities.
Cons: Big hotel is lacking atmosphere, it's sterile. Hardly any hotel guests. Staff: Poor command of English. Waitress for terrace was not at all interested in hotel clients. Drinks were served in dirty glasses. Very loud music, not softened after request. Poor service.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic, just what we needed, right outside the Cathedral. All the staff were exceptional, with a happy smile.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel -really clean. Photos don’t do it justice really.

Casa de Los Acacio - San Clemente - Building
8
8.6 Excellent (140 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The charming rural hotel Casa De Los Acacio is housed in a beautiful historic palace of the 17th century. It is located in the small town of San Clemente in La Mancha, just a few steps away from historic attractions such as the 16th century town hall, the 16th century House of Culture, the extraordinary 15th century Church of St. James or the Old Tower. The city of Cuenca is about 110 km away. The palace was completely restored and converted into a small rural hotel, maintaining its original structure where possible. The patio and the rest of the building feature antique furnishings from various generations. The cosy and elegantly appointed rooms offer modern amenities such as hot and cold air-conditioning, complimentary WIFI and TV with DTT. Other features include a lovely green garden area with outdoor pool and dance floor as well as a meeting room. An enchanting hotel, ideal for those looking for unique accommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and the property
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Even though I arrived very late, the owner was very friendly and helpful. He even carried my bag to my room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely old spanish hotel, beautiful interior and garden space. The pool is a bonus and parasol, chairs and pool towels all provided. Home made breakfast of toast, tomatoe, cakes, jam, coffee and juice. Very friendly hosts.
Cons: The restaurant we went to last year and liked had changed hands so tried a different one this year which was a wine bar. The wine bar was ok but a little bit fast foody.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I stayed here for the first time last week. San Clemente is a small town, but this casa is well located near the centre. There is street parking all around, but the casa has a small courtyard for a few vehicles and many motorcycles. The house itself is 17th century. It is delightfully quirky, and has been in the family for many years. It has been maintained in character, and is very clean. The owners are extraordinarily helpful, and speak excellent English. The rooms are surprisingly large with good en suite bathrooms. WiFi is fairly quick given the thick walls, and there is a television too. Rooms also include a minibar and air conditioning. Outside there is a private garden with swimming pool and a barbecue area for the warm months of the year. As expected, it is very quiet at night. A comprehensive breakfast with local and homemade produce is available between 9 am and midday. In the evening, I went to Saboreate in the centre of town. Although it looks like a delicatessen shop, it serves local food, and is delightful. Interesting beers and wine are available. (Owner speaks good English). I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful historic home, lovingly restored and cared for by descendants of the original owner. Hosts were charming and gracious. There's a really nice backyard that would be awesome to use in the summer. It's a short walk to the small town which is very cute.
Palacio Buenavista Hospederia - Belmonte - Building
9
8.5 Excellent (741 reviews)
Overview Reviews
This comfortable hotel can be found in Mota del Cuervo. The accommodation consists of 35 guests rooms. Pets are not allowed at Palacio Buenavista Hospederia.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient location from which to explore Belmont; a short walk from the bus station to the hotel, and from the hotel to the castle. (My room also had a view of the castle). I was pleasantly surprised by how large, clean, and modern the room was given the low price. There was even a small, elevated sitting area with a skylight. Additionally, the hotel offered a strong internet connection, piping hot shower, comfy bed, and a decent breakfast.
Cons: The only negative was thing the restaurant. I had hoped to try some of the food highlighted in the photos on the hotel's Booking ad, but when I went to the restaurant they told me that they were finished accepting reservations. I hadn't been told during check-in, or when I visited the restaurant earlier to ask about their dinner hours, that reservations were required. In a town with extremely limited dining/grocery options, this was a great inconvenience. I ended up having a tiny, overpriced hamburger at a nearby hotel. Some simple solutions would be to ask patrons if they would like to reserve a table when they check in, or to utilize tables in the breakfast room, bar, or patio when the hotel is full.
6.3 Good
Pros: Amazing authentic old building. Beautiful lounge to relax in and a super location. The staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The rooms were a little austere and there was nowhere to sit comfortably in the bedroom.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: An old traditional property with rooms surrounding a central courtyard. The building has been updated over the years to include modern facilities such as individually controlled air conditioning and Wi-Fi. but retains many original features. Simply decorated and furnished bedroom with comfortable bed and fully equipped en suite bathroom. The buffet continental style breakfast was adequate with a limited choice of meats/cheeses/bread and cereals etc, but at least fresh orange was available (a hobby horse of mine), together with fresh coffee and tea The staff were friendly and helpful but it should be noted that little English was spoken.
Cons: One of the reasons for booking this guesthouse was that it had a restaurant - and a very well reviewed one at that. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, we presume, for the winter period. This is perfectly understandable given that our visit was in November and for at least 1 night we were the only guests and although Belmonte is a charming and historic town, it is hardly a tourist mecca. However when describing facilities available to the visitor, accuracy is important and any seasonal changes must be made clear. The lack of restaurant didn't spoil our visit but it was disappointing. Although parking in an adjacent street was fine for our visit, I think it could be a problem in the busier summer months
7.0 Good
Pros: Lovely authentic building with central patio. Good continental breakfast. Our room had a view of Belmonte Castle.
Cons: Belmonte is a town with many small narrow one way streets and limited access roads which made getting in and out of the town difficult even with a Satnav.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very friendly, location perfect to reach by car, free parking inside was very convenient and in comparison to the most expensive hotel in Belmonte this hotel was very accomodating as well. Price quality great! Wifi signal perfect as well!
Cons: Would love more healthy options at breakfast like pan intergral instead of only white bread, yogurt without sugar instead of only yogurt with sugar options and the coffee was absolutely better from the bar itself. I didn´t ask for yogurt without sugar but I´m sure they would have added it as the staff was very helpful.
7.5 Good
Pros: Everything was great and the staff helpful. Th food was very nice.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: former palace so internal design was a treat. Now (may 2018) under new management and the owner was excellent host - he is renovating the restaurant and rooms and when finished this has the potential to be a truly exceptional hotel.
Cons: without GPS it would be difficult to find amongst the narrow village streets
8.8 Excellent
Pros: location and friendl staff
Cons: coffee and breakfast fair but could be better
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good , we had an evening meal which was very good. Staff were very attentative!
Cons: In our room the shower fitting on the wall was broken and poor pressure from the taps.

Pros: The location is very good when travlling Algarve to Barcelona & Back being about half-way. Rooms spacious and comfortable. White wine excellent at €3.99 a bottle.
Cons: The language barrier in the restuarant made it difficult to understand what was being said. Chairs uncomfortable, and please change the lighbulbs for ones with a lower colour temperature. The bar was lacking furniture and we were told it didn't open til 8.00 p.m. We felt that the attention was being given to setting up for the next day's big event, so our stay may have been unfortunate.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and setting, friendly and helpful staff . All in all a good stay over, we did not get a chance to sample wine or have dinner - however looked very interesting and we would do so on our return.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Driving through a rather scruffy Villarobledo I was not looking forward to finding my overnight accommodation at all. But what a lovely surprise it was to turn the corner and see Plaza Ramon y Cajal with its huge church, lovely two-storey arcaded ajuntamiento and selection of bars and restaurants. I parked my car in the Plaza underground public car park and walked to the hotel. I booked in and walked my case and bags from the car and via the small lift into my room on the third floor which was very comfortable with a terrace looking onto the side street. There is an exterior terrace with tables and chairs on the third floor with a magnificent view over the Plaza. The hotel has a smart, rather formal, ground floor bar and exterior terrace with excellent service which I was told served snacks and where I had my coffee and croissant the next morning. I was not able to have dinner there (not sure whether there is actually a restaurant or whether it was just closed) so I had a lovely meal in a restaurant in the plaza. With the hotel’s discount, parking under the plaza was just 6€ (it is not private parking as was indicated in the Booking.com description). I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay here and would certainly recommend the hotel to others.
Cons: Strangely, the shower had a habit of running hot then cold. Manageable once you got used to it.
9.5 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: What made this great was the location. San Clemente is a lovely town...a great square, floodlit church, lovely bars and restaurants and the people were really friendly. I even found a free concert in the bull ring. The hotel itself is attached to a restaurant and was shut when I arrived but one of the staff came and opened up and let me in...get the impression I was the only one there or it could just have been quiet. The rom was basic but clean and comfortable and had air conditioning albeit noisy. In the morning there was no one around so I just left the keys. But a great little place I would love to go back to.
Cons: Bit strange there not being anyone n the desk to give keys to but the member of staff I met when I first arrived was really helpful and the restaurant staff were very friendly.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was located in a real, genuine old Spanish town, deep in the middle with narrow roads and mixed in with houses and little merchants - just what we were hoping to see lots of on our trip. Please don't let the comments below imply that we did not enjoy our stay - we did - very much.
Cons: The instructions into the location left much to be desired! We had to stop many times within a couple blocks of the locations to get directions from folks who spoke no English at all. The staff, while very courteous and pleasant, had NO English speaking people - this was truly a little town business dealing with locals. A lot of pointing, smiling, grunting, laughing and a phone based translation app got us what we needed. When we awoke on Sunday (the next morning) we were the ONLY people in the hotel/restaurant. We locked up behind ourselves and left.
7.5 Good
Pros: Very good internet, good clean room with good facilities and friendly staff. Recommended!
Cons: Nothing

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Room
Cons: The breakfast
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well situated in bright and noisy town centre, restaurants around and masses of children enjoying themselves.
Cons: Ask for a room away from the noise of the Friday night disco
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The only thing I liked was the location
Cons: It was dirty, noisy, there was a boiler in the room which is very strange for a hotel room, it was very noisy, you could hear music going on till 5 a.m. The room was full of dust and dirt, not a very pleasant stay at all.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, pet friendly without extra charges, good price quality relation, recently renovated so felt fresh and new. Spacious rooms.
Cons: Breakfast consisted just of dry pastries full of sugar and some toast. No self service so we had to wait for coffee and the toast because there was only one woman doing everything and obviously she could not serve everyone at once. The shower screen was too short so water ended up on the floor and the sink was tiny. No hair dryer.

5.0 Okay
Pros: We could not fault the staff or the food, both evening meal and breakfast. Water dispenser in the hotel corridor with cold AND hot water.
Cons: No food available outside lunch and dinner (8.30pm). Hotel and restaurant were separate. Hotel was an old building and looked very run down. Modernisation inside to some extent but not in keeping with typical Spanish hotels. Some lights not working, and the bed light almost hanging off the wall. Bed was very uncomfortable and the pillow brick hard. Good shower but tiny!
