Located in the heart of the charming town, this rustic hotel boasts a history of anis production and has delightful features such as wooden beams and hunting trophies decorating the walls. Feel at home in the cosy interiors of the Castrejon. Admire the careful decoration which celebrates the original features of the building as well as its fascinating history. The Castrejon was once involved in the distillation of Cebreros’s famous anis production. You will notice artefacts such as ceramics and forge pottery which are reminders of its colourful past. Relax in the lounge with beautiful tiled floors, rustic-style furniture and pretty ceramic tiles. Here, you can read the newspaper or chat with friends and other guests of the Castrejon. Later, enjoy regional cuisine in the à la carte restaurant and then finish off the evening with a relaxing drink in the elegant bar. Soak up the fresh air on the pleasant, outdoor terrace where you can admire both the pretty planting and the smart architecture of the Castrejon Hotel.
Pros: They invited us for breakfast
Cons: Very secluded area
Pros: The location and the town was beautiful . The people were very welcoming and the lady on reception was lovely
Pros: big room and comfortable bathroom, towels
Located in El Tiemblo, Hotel Rural Don Burguillo is a 2-minute drive from Iruelas Valley Nature Reserve and 9 minutes from Museo de Adolfo Suarez y la Transicion. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Hotel receptionist was a nice person.
Cons: Lonesome hotel, no proper car park, long and steep staircase to get to reception, no lift to first floor, bedroom window overlooked an untidy wilderness and derelict properties, outside the hotel other abandoned and derelict properties, no dinner available in hotel, local town of El Tiemblo had no decent restaurants open, the only restaurant open serving overpriced food heated up in microwave; next morning breakfast in the hotel a complete disgrace, the coffee was OK, but there was no fruit juice and the bread and cereals were stale.
Pros: The hotel manager was friendly and helpful, the hotel was Rural as described and very close to the beautiful burguillo reservoir.
Cons: It took us a while to find it it was 4 kilometers from El Tiemblo
Pros: The area is beautiful, amazing forests, overlooking the dam. Great small villages nearby to have great tapas and nice local wine. The hotel is brand new renovated with great facilities. They cooked beautiful meals. But the best of all is the staff. They are super helpful, they will make you feel like home and give you lots of great tips. Thank you for an amazing weekend.
Pros: Location was lovely, hotel itself basic but traditional Staff very friendly and we enjoyed the swimming pool
Pros: Staff so wonderfully friendly and really helpful and informative about the beautiful area. Couldnt reccommend this hotel highly enough. A special gracias to Estela! Hasta la proxima ☺
Hotel Toros de Guisando offers spacious rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi and a private terrace. It is in the small rural area of El Tiemblo, Ávila. The hotel’s name comes from the famous Guisando Bulls, a series of sculptures from the 1st and 2nd Century BC. These are located a short walk away on the hill of Guisando. Rooms all include a work desk, air conditioning and heating. Hotel Toros de Guisando has a traditional restaurant. Specials include Ávila meat dishes.
Pros: Spacious bright room
Cons: Soap dispenser in bathroom
Pros: The room was very large, clean, warm and close to the lift. The bathroom was just as large and was well equipped including facilities for the disabled. The bedroom had glass doors opening on to a balcony with table and chairs. The staff were great and nothing was to much trouble. I am considering changing my route home so I can visit again.
Cons: I cannot think of anything I did not like and will definitely stay again in the future but for more nights.
Pros: Room was extremely spacious and spotlessly clean. Large and comfortable beds in our twin room. Air con in room was easily understood and worked perfectly. Decent sized tv. Plenty of storage space.
Cons: Breakfast is served in the adjoining bar restaurant as opposed to a separate dining room and consists of a drink with a pastry or toast. Not a major problem as Booking.com had this as breakfast not included and maybe the reason why.
Pros: Comfy bed, large room with balcony and nice view, good hot shower, typical Spanish breakfast of good coffee, tomato toast and freshly squeezed juice
Cons: Restaurant not open in evening, room needed more furnishings
Cons: Staff did not speak English. No refrigerator in the room while it cost 100$/night at an area far from big city.
Pros: location and parking was good
Cons: nobody answer reception calls / No bath robes

Featured amenities include luggage storage and a library. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
Cons: Fairly remote and although there was a menu, there was no one to cook the food (gone to Madrid shopping, apparently).
Pros: Location and wifi connection
Cons: No restaurant available there and we had always to take the car to go to eat in the close villages
With a stay at El Rondon in Cebreros, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Museo de Adolfo Suarez y la Transicion and Bulls of Guisando. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Beautiful landscapes near the village. Cozy hotel in quiet neighborhood, easy to find. Personal was very helpful. Hotel restaurant is very good. Basic breakfast. Perfect for the price.
Cons: Only cold water was in the morning. Nothing special.
Pros: Lunch and dinner. Good cook
Cons: Breakfast poor and scarce. Wedding guests using all hotel as playground until after midnight.
Cons: Waiter was rude.
Pros: They also run a pilgrim hostel, which would have been a better choice for us (but unfortunately this was not shown on the booking.com site).
Cons: The receptionist did not speak English, and had difficulty understanding that we had booked in to the hotel rather than the pilgrim hostel - surely they should have records. The restaurant was closed most evenings, including the one we were there, and breakfast not served unti 9:00 which is too late for walkers.
