Pros: Having travelled to this area over the past 45 years and some 25 trips and with my family hailing from this seaside village, I can tell you that this is the finest hotel - as well as the priciest hotel - within a 15 to 25 mile radius of this area. Exceptional views of the plytra bay and modern rooms with western style showers and amenities. Hotel is 2 years old with nice linens and bedding. Rooms are over 600 square feet with large balconies. Views from rooms are awesome. Wind protected hotel perched on a steep rocky areas overlooking the entire bay.
Pool Bar served great cocktails.
Cons: Food at the restaurant was not good by most Greek standards. I prefer to eat at the taverns along the beach for more traditional Greek cuisine with better quality ingredients and dishes.
Service was good but not great when compared to chains like the four seasons, mandarin oriental etc.

We had two rooms, each with a double bed and a single bed. They required walking up the mildly sloping hill from the entrance tunnel, and were at the end of the 'village' which is a collection of hotels, shops and restaurants in the lower section of Monemvasia. But it was worth it! We swam in the sea, ate a lovely meal overlooking the mediterranean, and slept like babes.
Pros: It's the most amazing location, below the old castle walls, itself walled in and sitting right on the sea.
Cons: The ac did not reach well to the lower part of our room, so our daughter was a bit too warm.

Pros: Good amenities (nice, big shower, clean bathroom of very comfortable size, powerful AC, mini fridge, pretty good bed).
The location was really lovely. We loved the olive trees that surrounded the home, the old liotrivi house that hosted the restaurant , the staff. The restaurant on the premises was also very good. Do use it! We loved staying here because it was remote and away from the busy, touristy towns, that have motorcycles, lots of traffic etc. the location was good for accessing different beaches and villages near Velies, as well as Monemvasia of course...we would definitely stay here again...we also loved the story behind the house, a location that has hosted famous poet Yiannis Ritsos...
Cons: The owner should put a handle on the door...we stayed in the first house and it locks with a key, but it sure is hard to close and open s door just with a key...our only complaint!
Pros: Large comfortable room with all facilities, stunning views from the balcony. Unique location - the old olive press 'museum' is a one off.
Pros: The setting, quality and historical significance of the main building plus the restaurant food was good.
Cons: The accommodation was in a separate 2 floor block which was not stone built.
Pros: 5 separate studios and a restaurant surrounded with olive trees and vine. The restaurant is located in an old oil mill and provides local food based on quality products from the village. It is worth a visit even if you don't stay in the studios. A variety of good beaches can be reached in 20-30 minutes by car (Gefyra, Plytra, Achangelos).
Cons: No WiFi. No pool. AC complicated to operate. Breakfast is simple.
Pros: the staff was very helpful- gave us 2 rooms instead of a quadruple since they had rooms to spare and our kids are older. also the surroundings are very pleasant, good for leisurely country stay though you'll need to get your meals yourselves.
Cons: the location is hard to find. no internet available. quite overpriced for its location.
Pros: The breakfast staff is good, and the location is pleasant. The rooms are very new, though without much charm.
Cons: No one was present to greet us on our arrival. When we finally tracked the owner down, she claimed our reservation had been canceled, though it hadn't been. We had no hot water that night, the air conditioning malfunctioned, and the Internet service was non-existent (though claimed by the hotel). Badly overpriced.
Pros: Everything was wonderful during our two night stay. Highly recommend the taverna for dinner. Breakfasts were great. Comfortable and easily accesible to some of the prettiest and nontouristy parts of the Peloponese. Brought home the apricot jam and olives - best ever. wish we brought more home.
