10.0 Excellent
Pros: Mathieu and Jean were wonderful hosts; great to communicate, extremely welcoming and so helpful with advice on places to visit and restaurants for dinner. The townhouse itself is a little gem, so unique. A beautiful property so tastefully decorated, immaculately clean with lovely features. Breakfast under the shade of the mulberry trees on the terrace is a memory we will treasure. Free street parking arrangement is a huge advantage. We very much look forward to returning. Thank you Mathieu, Jean and all at L’Hostalet for a magnifient stay.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing we did not like about L’Hostalet.

Pros: Great welcome from Mathieu. As we had to park a short distance from the hotel, he came on a bicycle fitted with a box to take our luggage up and even placed it in front of the door. The patio on the village place is a great place to have something to drink and unwind. Unfortunately, we did not have breakfast, but enjoyed our coffee on the beautiful patio, Lots of attention to detail from the owners who were really wonderful!!! Thank YOU,

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property in an old chateau. Very large comfortable room in a picturesque quiet village within easy reach of points of interest. Beautiful terrace breakfast venue. Lovely croissants.
Cons: Hard to find anything we didn't like, however, there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, a kettle was provided on request, but no crockery etc. No restaurants within walking distance.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Charming, helpful hosts. Wonderful views across to the Pyrenees.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing at all.
Cons: Where do I start. The room was small cramped and bedroom was accessed via the bathroom which was part of the entrance. Toilet was in a cupboard. But what I expect from a ‘’chateau’’. Was this ever misnamed. Hotel was too dark. No grounds as I would expect in a chateau. Situated in the middle of town surrounded by other properties. Just awful.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Alain and Michelle were the perfect hosts. They gave us fantastic recommendations for places to see and restaurants. The view from our room and the terrace was breathtaking and the whole place had immense charm.
Cons: My only slight criticism was the late check in although when we contacted Alain they did say we could come earlier.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Firstly, Alain and Michelle were delightful hosts - friendly, helpful and kind. While the town is not a tourist place in itself, it was the perfect base to explore the Pyrenees-Orientales. We visited the Pyrenees, northern Spain, Collioure, Castelnou, Villefranche-de-Conflent, Carcassonne, etc. These places were spectacular - the area was much more than I imagined and I think it is my favourite area in France. Chateau d'Ortaffa is beautiful!!! The room was so comfortable, the terrace for breakfast and drinks overlooked the town and the Pyrenees - what more could you ask for? BTW Charles de Gaulle stayed in Chateau d'Ortaffa!
Cons: Nothing - it really was a wonderful place.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts, Michelle and Alain, were extremely warm and welcoming. The Château is spectacular as is the view from the terrace where we had wine at sunset and a sumptuous breakfast in the morning. It is a perfect place to stay to explore this part of France. Our room was incredibly beautiful filled with art and antiques and had a large bathroom with both a shower and a luxurious bathtub, and of course, the beautiful view. Highly recommend this stunning place.
Cons: Would have liked to check in a little earlier. I’m sure if I had called ahead they would have been able to accommodate.
9.2 Excellent

Pros: Fantastic hosts, made us feel really welcome and catered for everything we needed. Lovely breakfast and fantastic home made yoghurt!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: This beautiful historic Château is in the small medieval town of Ortaffa. Stunning rooms that boasts character and was designed with love, you can tell. The property is filled with antiques and the owners are super friendly and helpful. The lovely breakfast and homemade apple puree on the terrace was a nice touch. Looking out over the town and mountains in the background is definitely a way to start your day.

Pros: Our hosts Rodney and Gil were amazing. The house is beautifully furnished and their attentive service and help was greatly appreciated. Rodney speaks excellent English making it a very easy stay. We would have loved to stay longer as this is a great base to explore The surrounding area. Ceret (wonderful Sat market) Collioure and a trip across into Spain to visit the Dalí Museum in Figueres is easily done from here. All highly recommended. Thank you Rodney and Gil-you absolutely made our stay in Sorède. Nothing was too much trouble — the breakfast was delicious and served in their beautiful garden. We had a lovely room upstairs and were welcomed to use the downstairs lounge and dining area also. Easy drive to Collioure and Port-Vendres to explore the old ports. Hosts very obliging. Lovely, secure property.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A country setting in a very nice villa with romantic atmosphere. Romain was a delightful host and attentive.

4.2 Okay
Pros: Nothing much because it’s like you can pay but you can’t use!!! Example jacuzzi!!!
Cons: The swimming pool was dirty and quite small. The coffee was awful like socks juice. The breakfast was poor, no hot food!! Industrial viennoiseries! They stole my weed my bathsuit and my sunglasses!

Pros: Thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, incredible surroundings, very quiet and peaceful, the owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make everything top class, very energy efficient too...
4.2 Okay
Pros: Owner speaks English. Location near town.
Cons: Waited for half an hour behind the gate, no one answered the phone or doorbell. No toilet in the room, just a shower. Asked the owner to turn on the aircon several times, in the morning was 26°C unbearable hot in the room(economy?). Pool dirty and smells bad. Breakfast very poor. Bikes for rent were in garbidge, tires empty and as the owner said- not well. Worse experience of the whole vacation.

Pros: Free parking in the property yard.
Cons: It seems that is used as a retirement facility, many very old folks. The smell and the atmosphere give you a hint when you go in. Does not feel like an apartment hotel. It shouldn't be sold like a hotel for tourists.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, very neat and tidy flat with maid service every day. Two minutes to the beach
Cons: I think people would be a bit surprised that it is actually an old persons home! Some of the residents are very elderly! There is nothing in the neighbourhood to do; you would need a car to access nightlife etc
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable apartment. Friendly staff. Good location.
Cons: No WiFi, even though it was advertised. There was no mention at all that it is an old persons retirement home.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location straight out onto the beach, the large apartment with air conditioning was very comfortable.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel location is excellent - only under 10min walk from bus stop (if catching one from/to air port, no6). There is bus stop outside the hotel which is also convenient when connecting to train station. It is walking distance to any popular Perpignan tourist attraction. On the other side of the street there’s lovely park - great view of trees if the room windows facing main street. We stayed in superior double room for 3 nights and it was spacious enough for two of us. The windows had great noise isolation so even with the cars driving past we couldn’t hear anything! The bed was super comfy, air con worked great and shower was super. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfast choice was ok for continental. They stored our luggage for few hours after check out so we could venture about before catching the flight. We would definitely stay there again if ever in Perpignan!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Very helpful with parking.
Cons: Only one night difficult to provide a better estimate on overall quality. However, for just one night the hotel provided a very good service.
6.7 Good
Pros: X
Cons: Lack of parking when the hotel was specifically chosen for this. And the staff requiring my vehicle to be moved late in the evening after they knew I had been drinking alcohol in their restaurant.

Pros: I am very please
Cons: You don’t offer the dinner that you promotes
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Decent sized bedroom and large shower/toilet room. Nice breakfast

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, tranquil hotel perfect get away for couples, friendly staff, relaxing spa area highly recommend the hammam spa treatment.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This was the fourth visit made by my wife and I. This is a small high class hotel in a residential area. Parking was excellent, within the grounds in a secure area- an oasis of calm. The pool area was popular. I noticed that the water was regularly checked by a technician.
Cons: The breakfasts are the one area of weakness. The menu offers a reasonable selection of both hot and cold dishes, but the bias favours the continental style. Although this is fundamentally a 'room only' accommodation with the flexible option of taking a breakfast on an ad hoc basis, the actual cost of the meal is not the best of value.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room and the grounds were stunning! The staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I will definitely return.
Cons: There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this property.
10.0 Excellent

9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is very stylish and knows how to make you feel like you are in a luxury hotel. The staff was extremely professional and they have their hospitality skills well covered. The room is impeccable and comfortable. The rooftop offered great views and the pool was nice. Dining at the restaurants Michelin star restaurant was incredible, too.
Cons: It got a bit windy in the afternoon but that is not the hotel's fault.
5.8 Okay
Pros: A good location
Cons: The breakfast was non existent warm food ran out not replaced no orange juice order forgotten twice Sockets hanging off in the room with children in room Towels not replaced and when they were by manager Holes in the towels For two nights no availability in the restaurant In all my years of staying at hotels it’s the first time I would like my money back not 5stars
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very luxe hotel for a reasonable price
7.1 Good
Pros: Reception staff made efforts to secure a table for us in the restaurant at the last minute but not without having to push them initially. I've always believed the squeaky wheel gets the grease but I would have hoped not to have to here. The room looked nice and I slept well; pretty important in a hotel.
Cons: An old hotel building refurbished to look modern but badly. The finish is rough and not at all what one would expect of a R&C location. The food at L'Almandin was great but the service was weak and let the team down; missing cutlery, chipped glasses, self-service wine for example.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed.
Cons: Not friendly at out arrival Impossible to eat to the restaurant a Friday night at 9pm after 5hours travel by road. Spa s pool at not looking recent. Cold water. Steam room out of service. Expensive for the provided service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff, location, food, spa, swimming pool.
Cons: not a lot but would suggest it's at the lower end of a 5 star rating. What the staff lacked in sophistication and finesse was more than made up by their friendliness and enthusiasm
4.2 Okay
Pros: The check in staff (chap with moustache) was great. We also liked the boat ride to the beach.
Cons: The rooms are small and quite run down. Our shower leaked and there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. When the sink tap was on the shower water dropped to a drizzle. We had cockroaches on the terrace and bats flapping over our heads.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Its not cheap, but its one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. The staff bent over backwards the rooms were big and well cared for and the restaurant is a must.iew I have said before that I will only review exceptional (bad our good) because reviews on websites are getting meaningless. This is exceptionally good
Cons: Not much really

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Personnel very friendly & helpful. Nice environment. Food excellent but high price.

Pros: This is our 2nd time staying in this hotel and it was even better the second time. In fact we love it so much I asked my partner to marry me in the restaurant- and she said yes! A special thanks to Magalie, Petter and Celine for helping me with the surprise. The hotel is beautiful, the food was one of the nicest meals we have had and everyone is so helpful and friendly. Such a relaxing time (after the proposal was out of the way!) and we will definitely be back.
Cons: Nothing - everything wonderful

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Stunning building, set in green natural surroundings, all was peace and calm, without being stuffy! Staff were lovely, rooms beautiful, food was excellent, highly reccomend it. They even found a book for my mum in English when she had forgotton hers, hows that for service ! We were only there for one night, to celebrate my mums birthday, everything was perfect and I couldn't have wished for a nicer stay.
Cons: Honestly can't fault it.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: A lovely hotel, very comfortable and prettily decorated with lovely garden and small pool. Delicious breakfast which you could eat in the garden and very nice helpful hosts.
Cons: It took us ages to find the hotel as it is on its own lane parallel to the major road but you cannot get off where you need to.. get off at junction 12 for Valmy chateau. Our room looked on to the motorway so we had to sleep with air con on but not too bad with the window shut.. Our towels were not even folded when the room done. The dinner which was very delicious if expensive took exactly two hours from when we arrived in the dining room til we had eaten our main course. We couldn’t wait any longer so declined pudding. The time put us off having dinner there the second night.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely and the food was excellent. It is a very relaxing place to stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Book a room with pool view. The hotel is very close to a main road coming out of Argeles, although in the country - I don't know if rooms without pool view look towards this road... We loved this place. Big room with huge bed, lovely view over the pool, hotel gardens, vineyards and mountains. Superb food - and wine cellar. Service excellent.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Set in a great location to access the some of the nicest part of the beach in Argeles Sur Mer. Good size pool. Very enjoyable evening meals always with a choice of meat or fish, delicious cheeses and deserts. Lovely spacious room overlooking the pool with a view of the mountains. Couldn't fault it.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Hotel close to the beach. High quality of food. For dinner, the starter was sometime too light. Variety of desserts very good, but not enough season fruits.
Cons: This hotel would have been a nice place to stay, if the bed mattress was comfortable, if the bedroom was soundproofed, if the staff in the restaurant was smiling and cool. Mr Impeccable 1&2 should lead smoothly his staff.
