Very nice lady (owner I suppose) at the reception, and serving breakfast, etc. Nice old building, very clean rooms, all looked in good shape. To come to the hotel you drive through a lovely village, but you will find that the hotel is close to the motorway. This means you hear traffic 24 hours a day, when you open the windows in the room. Please note the restaurant is not open on Monday. I had to go into the village to a restaurant but this was not far and a good recommendation by the hotel.
nice large comfortable room, very nice dinner
Room was big & comfy, breakfast was ok, receptionist was wonderful and very helpful. Great for a weekend away from it all maybe apart from the trains & motorway. Roads to hotel are single lane farm tracks not well maintained. Main line to Brussells and Motorway run behind so constant rumble in background but not loud unless you open the window. Restaurant not open on Mondays/Tuesdays, food ok but to my taste & a bit expensive
The atmosphere. Difficult to find
The building was tastefully renovated creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Ideal for weekend cycling.
The hostellerie has much potential. The building has everything to be a good holiday location. Our room was nice and comfortably big. This is a missed opportunity. The reception is closed between 12:00 and 18:00 (we missed that in the confirmation e-mail, so had to wait two hours before we could check in). During that time, there really is no-one present from the staff. Everything is closed shut. There is also no restaurant anymore. The owner drove us to a restaurant the nearby down and came to pick us up again. That was really kind. Unfortunately, he speaks only French and no English. The toilet in our room had not been cleaned and we found some finger or toe nails on the floor. As we only stayed one night and our French isn't good enough, we didn't complain about this, but there was enough reason to.
Very dedicated front desk employee, walking you up to the room. Spacey room, but very basic. The menu in the restaurant was quite appealing, hope to return there once to enjoy the kitchen. Located in the country side, yet still close to Brussels. Very basic breakfast buffet. Good enough for a short business trip. Uncomfortable shower access under a slanting roof. TV remote control didn't work (not very convenient when watching the tele from your bed)
The atmosphere and calmness around is just perfect for those who is tired from city noise and hurry
Charming bed & breakfast with good owners. Comfortable beds and coffee in the room are excellent incentives for return customers. We really enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace. Power plugs should be better accessible.
Clean, friendly room with excellent Internet access, tv etc. Parking right outside the door to the room, so no 'dragging around the luggage'. This is a small b&b in an annex to the family home of the owners but with perfect privacy if you want. Not sure if it really is a "bad" point, but staying here effectively requires access to a car or use of a taxi, as no restaurants etc. are in walking distance. Was no problem for me though.
Well situated, peaceful, nice and safe. Baeutiful house. None that I can think of.
The hotel is cute. The room was clean. It was a fair price. Although we did not dine their, it did seem like they had a up-scale dining facility. Service was not good. We arrived at 2:30 in the afternoon. All the lights were off in the reception area and no one was there. We walked around in the kitchen and the first floor but could not find anyone. Rang the bell but no one answered. We left to go eat (carrying 4 pieces of luggage) and came back at 4pm. There was still no one there. Had to go find the cleaning lady on the 3rd floor. She came to the reception desk but could not help us. Another employee finally arrived about 4:15pm. There were other guests waiting to check in as well. We booked through bookings.com but they did not have our name on their register, just our booking number. The free wi-fi did not work. Bed sheet had a tear in it. Coffee was $4 per cup. No free breakfast
Food was well prepared and good value for money
Good stay - second time and would stay again
The outside of the building Room atmosphere
Staff and food are excellent Internet was not working in the room however it worked fine in the reception
Internet worked well. Room was clean and comfortable. No breakfast included. Free parking was not on the premises. Very impersonal, staff not very friendly, it was like my visit was a big inconvenience to them.
Quiet, clean and comfortable room Shower room a bit of a disaster area as fat too small. Breakfast poor and overpriced. Check out completely disorganised
Friendly staff, good restaurant. Only 20 km from Brusselles, but much cheaper than a similar quality hotel in the capital. Sometimes we found parking place only blocks away from the hotel. (But the neighborhood seems to be safe, there weren't any problem with the car.) There's no staff permanently at the reception desk, check out recommended in the previous evening if you want to leave the hotel early morning.
Staff were friendly. The fitness facility is extremely limited and not well thought-out. The location is on the edge of an industrial estate. Not within walking distance of other amenities.
New and very clean hotel. Lots of parking and a good restaurant. The room needs a reading lamp as the fixed lighting is not bright enough for working. Also the wireless is weak if you have a room on the ends.
Hotel was clean, modern and the room was a good size and bathroom facilities were excellent. Food at restaurant was good and staff were helpful.
The room was spacious, we could choose twin beds and the location was convenient. The breakfast staff and service was sub-par on the weekend.
I really liked the functionality of the room Matrass a bit too soft
Please write at least 15 words First of all location - totally ridiculous, far from everything except some cargo areas, even navigation system was confused. This is really basic hotel. Exercise room is just a normal room with rowing, bicycle machine and something else - even in my block we had better exercise room. My feeling was more like I'm staying in a motel and definitely not 3 star. It was clean but for the money I would expect more .In the room there was small electric kettle and some coffee. There is bar but not manned and you need to look for somebody to get a beer. I did not try restaurant except the breakfast - nice little buffet - nothing special but you can live with it. Staff at the reception desk very friendly and helpful, communicate in English - not the thing you'll take for granted in Belgium.
Even if it is in the countryside, it is a little bit noisy: many trucks are passing close to it and you can hear easily from the room (mine was at the first floor).
more facilities for women in the room. I.E mirrors plugs etc for makeup and hair No mirrors or plugs in room for makeup and hair
comfortable beds , nice shower position in middle of industrial estate
Nice situation Restaurant not open Friday night
Clean, warm, spacious rooms with an efficient complimentary WiFi connection. Good restaurant, little pricy.
The rooms were well laid out. The location is close to the centre of town, but next to a large park with a stately home and famous gardens. So on one side the location feels quite rural, the town side is on a quiet road and separated from its neighbours.
Comfortable and very clean rooms. Nice breakfast, excellent location, very quiet. Welcoming and helpful owners.
Room was good, roomy with a desk and table. Free internet connection (once you get a ticket from reception), food was always good and sometimes very good. The town has large stunning gardens next to the hotel. The town is well placed, near a major road and with a rail link that takes you to the centre of Brussels in half an hour
My group were in vintage cars, and the hotel had kindly ensured the parking area had been kept free for us, a thoughtful gesture. The rooms were first class, clean and appeared to be brand new. our two dinners very very tasty, with good helping for hungry travellers. The atrium made a pleasant location for breakfast.I would definitely recommend the hotel to my friends i have no bad comments to make.
Very pretty location in a park area near the town Chateau, which was set in a lovely garden with lakes etc. We were not offered the Menu du Jour, which looked quite good value and I thought was perhaps only for lunch, but later on reading the room literature, it said it was applicable for all hotel residents. Our meal was good but expensive (also due to the poor exchange rate of £sterling to Euro of course)
Quiet, friendly hotel with indoor swimming pool What little noise there was easily penetrated the thin walls.
staff were friendly and polite! there was a bad mouldy smell all over the hotel.
The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, including a fantastic castle close by. No
Good village , central Could do with a kettle for hot water in the rooms - however a small point which did not ruin a good experience
Kindness and the smile of the staff, the restaurant and the variety of plates, the cosy and comfortable side. Walls are really thin, you can hear your neighbours' chats through. Beds are not especially comfortable.
This hotel is situated in an attractive village, which has several bars, restaurants and an excellent deli. It has the look and feel of an alpine resort, with a pool and sauna. The rooms could possibly do with some refurbishment, but this could spoil its character. Very friendly and helpful staff.
very friendly and efficient staff; free parking; spacious, cleanly room; nice bathroom; as a whole very silent; free, good wi-fi connection; beautiful village and countryside the room could have used more (make-up) mirrors and double curtains. Location is a 45 min drive from downtown Brussels.
Calm, cleanliness, comfort, location, 5 minutes from the place where the wedding reception took place.
A hotel that is transformed into a disco at night without any respect for the other guest, especially not by the staff.
the brakfast and nice farming surroundings it's not a hotel ! it's b&b
Very service oriented staff, clean and nice rooms, free access to internet
Good services and hearty reception.
Very friendly and comfortable
friendliness and easy atmosphere
The most friendly personnell for a long time. Helpfulness. They seem to care about their customers.Quiet and spacious room. Food was nice. Make sure to order/ask about food as there is no real restaurant. The breakfast could have been a bit more generous.
A really lovely welcome on arrival. Friendly, helpful, family run hotel, I just wish I'd booked an evening meal. Breakfast was excellent. English speaking.
