Reasonably priced hotel. The standard of rooms were good. Parking was also useful. The breakfast was very basic.
Room & balcony, quality old style fittings, spacious comfortable surroundings, centre of town with secure parking N/A
Easily found, good welcoming reception, secure garaging for motorbike, helpful restaurant staff, comfortable bedroom.
Comfortable, reasonable price. Disco, awful noise and our table in the restaurant was vibrating. Basic breakfast in a smokey bar, parking needed to pay 6 euros for hotel parking.
Made us very welcome on arrival. Staff & service excellent ,nothing to much bother. Good food & plenty in the restaurant & for breakfast.Drink at the bar cheap compared to UK. All in all very satisfied. No
It had character TV programmes lacking, coulnt even get Spanish news. Breakfast was terrible, coffee and a pastry if you were lucky in the cafeteria
The dearest hotel on our trip and the least enjoyable. Breakfast was really poor, served in a public bar, poor quality food and people smoking next to you. Would not recommend the hotel.
Hotel staff very helpful, good location for stopover on way to Santander. Good value dinner menu ( house wine included in the price). Breakfast not great
We thought the staff were extremely pleasant and polite and the service and food in the restaurant was excellent.
Outstanding area, beautiful views, gorgeous food, and helpfull staff
The views and setting are stunning. Good restaurant though prices are high. Bedrooms are roomy and comfortable The decor is a bit tired
It´s the second time I stayed at the hotel and enjoyed it very much. I would like to suggest that the woden floor in my room 305 was a bit noisy.
Huge comfortable rooms with great bathrooms. Wonderful views of the mountains. Most of the staff helpful except reception. The were surly and unhelpful, was it because we arrived on motorcycles ?The food was good.
The setting was superb! Beautiful views! Hotel is a long way from the village and the restaurant was expensive. Noisy floorboards and plumbing in the rooms.
Impressive Parador in the Picos de Europa. -------------------------------------------------------
location in countryside adjacent village limited opportunities for evening meal thus tying you to the expensive hotel restaurant
Room and bathroom were very spacious - classifying as a suite. Views from all sides of the hotel were very scenic and dining room staff particularly attentive.
location, size of room, view from balcony Institional feel, lack of warmth on reception, cost of breakfast, cost of dinner, prices of cafe and room service, unchanging menu, lack of quality of food from restaurant, lack of soundproofing between floors and rooms, noisy wooden flooring and bathrooms.
The spectacular view - exceptional as the sun went down As we are light sleepers we found the noise from the creaking floorboards in the room above disturbing - at bed time and during the night.
The location and the breakfast are good and the area around the hotel is very claen. You must pay for the pool inside, outdoor pool is not kept clean properly,no chairs on the balcon of the room. Rooms are small.
Wonderful location and landscapes. The hotel is environment-friendly and very nice. The outdoor swimming pool only opens at 11.00.
This was a very expensive stay as we had mistaken the cost per room for the total cost of the hotel and when we checked out the total cost was therefore double what we had budgeted to pay. It cost us £600 for a 2 room 2 night stay!! What annoyed us most was the fact that this did not include breakfast or use of the indoor pool or Spa - everything was chargeable on top. We felt that we had been completely "ripped off". Whilst this was a nice hotel, it was no better than any of the other 4 star hotels we had stayed in this holiday which had averaged out at 60 euros per room per night, one even including a super breakfast. We would not recommend this hotel or stay there again because of this.
The staff were very welcoming, the rooms clean and the hotel very well designed The bar did not open (but we did not ask).
The hotel is a very tasteful refurbishment of the barns / sheds attached to the monastery. It looked and felt good and the court yard was lovely with a range of fruit trees. The staff when we checked in were professional, helpful and friendly. Although the hotel in its literature made much of its culinary restaurant and wine cellar (and the a la carte menu that was on display looked delicious). Unfortunately the menu turned out not to be available that evening and we were not told when we booked into the restuarant. The menu del dai was good value but very basic and came with either red or white wine but no choice within that. Also, although there was a resident's bar that was unmanned for the 2 hours prior to dinner.
Situated in a very historic building Our bed as on top of the bathroom in the roof space.with steep stairs for access. No air conditioning would make it unbearable in the hot weather. Get a room with the bed on the floor

The hotel is very professionally run and the staff are charming and helpful. The rooms and the bathrooms are small, but very tasteful. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
IT was oinly an overnight stop - and was fit for purpose
The hotel is in a converted monastery, in a wonderful old building and is full of atmosphere. The restaurant was excellent - the menu del dia is excellent value giving an imaginative 3 course meal plus wine and water for 15 euros. Because of the hotel design, it is not a good idea to stay here in the height of summer when the sleeping area could become uncomfortably warm.
Very good conversion of 16c building attached to restored monastery. Nice public areas including bar and lounge. Helpful staff. Restaurant closed on day we stayed (Sunday) but no problem in finding meal in interesting old town. We tried hard to like this hotel, but the bathrooms and sleeping areas in the bedrooms are so cramped and uncomfortable that we wouldn't stay again.
Very friendly and helpful staff. good atmosphere and clean. easy walking distance of town centre. Not applicable
The staff were the friendliest Spanish People I have ever come across and the buffet dining at €10 per head was excellent value for money and included a bottle of wine between 2 and also a bottle of still water. The accommodation was quaint but very comfortable and clean.
My wife and I had a very pleasant stay with a good choice of Menu at the Hotel in this very Historic Town/Region.The Duplex rooms were small but comfortable and adequate for a short stay.
