9.6 Excellent
Pros: Location, food, staff all wonderful
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was spectacular. We chose to experience a romantic dinner on the beach, the pier and a private BBQ cooked by the chef at our Villa. Such a beautiful beach, great entertainment and friendly staff. We stayed in the Deluxe Waterfront Villa which was very private and luxurious with an amazing view of the water.

Pros: Excellent outstanding service from staff, amazing food and just a great spot . Made friends with staff and showed me out and about at night
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all so friendly and seemed like one bit family, that after a few days we felt a part of as guests also. They went out of their way to look after us and make sure our stay was perfect for our honeymoon. Nothing was too difficult! James, Ann and Rinnet in particular were just wonderful! Can’t thank them enough. Beautiful waterfront rooms in paradise! We didn’t want to leave. Rooms were clean and the special touches and attention to detail when turning down our room at night etc made it even more special. We made good use of the massages and cocktails! Beautiful weather for SUPs everyday and picnics. The food was AMAZING! we can’t wait to visit again for our 5 year anniversary!
Cons: Would love in future when we visit for there to be a small sort of gym with a treadmill and some work out equipment, however, there was a tennis court for those who have enough energy.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: There was nothing not to like, the location is perfect, the ease of getting to the resort is unparalleled (40 minutes drive from the airport), every villa has sea view, the food is exceptional, especially considering you are on an island in the pacific, the staff.....they display a genuineness to serve the guests and make their stay special. Every guest is King. Plenty of activities, snorkeling from the beach, kayaking in the lagoon a nice swim or simply do nothing. Note.....there are rarely more then 30 people at a time in the resort, the feel of exclusivity is real :-)
Cons: The stay was too short.....

Pros: The setting was spectacular. The resort offered options for both peaceful relaxation, hammocks in the shade and massages on site, and exploration of the natural wonders, with snorkels, kayaks and bicycles for guests to use. The staff were always happy and helpful. The food was outstanding. The owner ensured that every aspect of our stay was of the highest standard, quietly stepping in to make sure our needs were always met. We would recommend this stay to all our friends who were travelling with children to Vanuatu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was the best thing about this resort, it was quiet and the property surrounding was beautiful. The water was calm & perfect for snorkeling. The kitchenette in villa was perfect to make snacks and simple meals.
Cons: The restaurant menu was great but it would be great if there were a couple of more basic options, such as burgers or basic salad.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Intimate, friendly yet very family friendly oasis.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff, Constance and Mark, and the food were all great. Constance handled my booking for a Tanna experience very last minute and it was awesome! The location is off nice water but a little further from town but it is an easy 10-15mins to town. The bungalows were very cute, cozy and spacious, kitchenette, living room, bedroom.
Cons: I enjoyed everything.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Probably the most kindly and friendly staffs ever seen. they were very helpfull and kind. thanks a lot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, atmosphere, building (lodge), staff, comfort,,,,all very nice. A room I stayed was sea front, nice view and very relaxing. The self-constrained room was clean and well equipped. Also, mosquito coils were provided, very useful. Another thing I liked was a safety box which was very straight forward to use (as I hardly come across proper security boxes like this)
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The front desk staff were amazing - Jenny and Julie were incredible, you made us feel very welcome, thank you!
Cons: The lock to our room didn't work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location on the water & close enough to town and restaurants. Staff were really helpful and friendly and the facilities like kayaks were just an added bonus.
Cons: We loved everything
7.9 Good
Pros: A very warm welcome and a staff who is there for you for any need. The appartments itself are very nice.
Cons: Unfortunately there is no word about the water quality in Port Vila bay area. Since August 2018 it is absolutely not recommended to swim there due to bacterial contamination. Fatumaru Lodge states that it is still safe to enjoy other watersport activities. However other sources state that any contact should be avoided. Wish we had knew this before.

Pros: Everything was done on our terms with no pressure do anything we didn't want to. Information was provided in the room as well as from direct communications plus they catered for our short notice questions and requests. The staff really make his place amazing with their smiles and attention to detail. Plus their humour and eagerness to do what they can for you. Amazing location, great quality accommodation and facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely helpful. I hit some snags in my proposal to my partner and they were extremely accommodating throughout the process and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy not only the start of our trip but the start of our lives. I can not recommend them more!
Cons: Absolutely nothing
7.9 Good
Pros: Facilities were great. Beautiful, well-appointed rooms. Lovely restaurant with delicious food.
Cons: Unfortunately we were there during bad weather so we weren’t able to make the most of the beach and pool. That can’t be helped though. The shuttles to Port Vila could be more regular.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, and roomy, stylish villas. Restaurant was excellent, and staff very friendly and helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Basically everything
Cons: One staff called Shuplene or probably another spelling , anyways , it start with SH, she was in the 16’s night shift and 17 morning shift, she basically worked in the restaurant. She was absolutely a very rude lady, we asked for sharing plates and she rolled her eyes twice. Me and my friend, we are highly understanding and tolerated people, we understand she is tired or probably isn’t happy about we asked for the sharing plates. Anyways, what she behaved was just not right. The others, brilliant!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic modern comfortable villa with ‘to die for’ waterfront views with beautifully kept grounds. The staff were fantastic and we commend and thank Jane and Team at the restaurant and Nicholas, all the drivers and all staff who made our wedding anniversary so memorable
Cons: n/a
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great food, great rooms loved waking up to the sound of the waves each morning. Very relaxed feel
Cons: Quite far from town (30 min drive) and chef was a super angry little man
Erakor Island Resort & Spa - Port Vila - Bedroom

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. For a surcharge, guests may use a roundtrip airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and a cruise ship terminal shuttle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff where amazing and always smiling which was refreshing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location and friendly staff
Cons: The bathroom looked a bit old
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The island is a bit like you expect of the paradises of the South Pacific, and is stunning and nice to walk around. Food is mostly excellent, breakfast is great and staff is friendly and helpful. You can easy stroll around the island, which even has some small patches of rain forest left. The main beach is beautiful, and it's easy to snorkel around in the vicinity. The free kayaks are also extra plus. And the feeling of relaxing in you Jacuzzi on the balcony in the sunset is hard to beat!
Cons: It's more expansive than I imagined. The prices are pretty much like in Sydney. Because the island is surrounded by reefs, it also means that there are a lot of hard corals sweeping up on the beach. We also had a lot of broken glass on the beach in front of the bungalow, probably sweeped in from the sea. The island is also pretty exposed to the weather, so if it's raining or windy there's is not much to do. The tide is also affecting the experience a bit, in low tide it's hard to snorkel and kayaking, for example.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: So we had a problem with the pump and being woken up etc. And when I told the resort staff, the lovely manager moved us. She also gave us a Complimentary massage (wonderful!) and for our last night we were moved into a villa. Which was such a treat and going above and beyond. Thank you Sarah! It was exactly what I thought I'd booked back in NZ. Beautiful. We were so thrilled and know now to book a beachfront villa!! Ots with the additional cost. The other great thing was the location. On an island. But 2 minutes boat ride from shore and a 24 hour ferry. Taxi Van's waiting. You can get into town...go out to dinner elsewhere...come back. so easy. Theres another resort near the jetty if you fancy being somewhere else for a day that's nice with a pool. Food great. Beds comfy. Staff lovely.
Cons: I made a mistake, I googled the accommodation and it looked like they were all villa-like and so booked the NZ250 a night garden room. But the garden rooms are all a big long unit like a motel block. Small rooms. Right nextdoor to others with only glass louvres at the front so you could hear other people and the light came through. If the rooms had been $90 a night I'd have thought 'fine" but it was meant to be our luxury 4 days together and I was so disappointed. And the first morning we were woken at 6am by a baby through the wall. And at 8am the maintenance team arrived and started digging out a sewage pump in front of our door. The staff shifted us and were amasing (read below). Also FYI the snorkeling was not good and I'm a mad keen snorkeler and diver. Its lovely to get wet but the snorkeling is wonderful in other locations in Vanuatu. Id imagined snorkeling off my room....but no. I could swim and it was clean but I wouldn't term it a place to go snorkeling. And the dugongs weren't in residence. Apparently not there for 2 months I was told on arrival. Which is nothing to do with the Resort...but I was so looking forward to seeing them and that was why I'd chosen Erakor. So if you're going for them - check first or realise they aren't great all the time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staff were exceptional especially Kevin and Blanca and Sarah. Lots to do and grounds are beautifully maintained. We stayed for a week and loved it would absolutely go again, our favourite place to stay on Vanuatu now (we have tried 5 different places) Activities and ease of access to them was excellent, fun evening activities too. Quality of food and choices excellent
Cons: Food a little on the pricey side and drinks definitely expensive but quality very very good
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: food and staff were excellant

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and laundry facilities. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: All good, great extras, good snorkeling
Cons: Rough access road to the Resort
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, a really pleasant island relaxed arrangement, with plenty of food - nice local fresh fruit, pancakes and eggs. We liked the property's quietness and distance from Port Vila. The access road was very poor once we got off the main road around the island.
Cons: The hot water was either extremely burning or non existent so needs to be improved. The lighting in the room could be a little better.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely local hosts Spaceous bungalo right at the waterfront Many possibilities to sit and relax Free Kayaks and nice to snorkel right in front of resort Good beds Good breakfast The resort is a bit off port vila but there was always a possibility of transportation for a good price
Cons: Internet was not very good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved EVERYTHING about the property. The location was away from the city (yet close enough to get to if wanted), so it was very relaxing. The views, the facilities, food, tours on offer etc were all fabulous but by far our favourite thing was the people who run Blue Bay. Eric, Christine and the rest of the team we’re wonderful. So friendly and accomodating. We felt like part of the family
Cons: We loved everything. It made for a wonderful relaxing holiday
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a quiet simple accomodation 20 mins out of port vila with excellent hosts who will try to assist you in any way. The price is very affordable, place was very clean and includes breakfast in the price. Eric and his team did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Snorkeling out the front on the reef was great and he provided shuttle services into town and up to Mele Cascades. Tops marks!
Cons: N/A
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. Location right on the water.
Cons: The lack or miss communication between staff about airport pick up. Price of food and drinks on the pricey side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely and the apartments were beautiful, and very clean. My apartment was spotlessly cleaned every day. The breakfast was yummy - my favourite were the banana pancakes and the beautiful fresh local fruit. Blue Bay is around a 25min drive from the centre of town but it's nice to be out of the business and it feels very relaxing. The owners will take you to the town any time you want to go and charge a very minimal fare for doing so. I had a lovely time just relaxing, taking out a kayak, going snorkelling and exploring the area.
Cons: Wifi could be better, but I didn't come on holiday to be attached to the internet. Snorkels are a bit old and damaged so could do with updating, but again these are very minor details that didn't impact the enjoyment of my trip.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely , quiet beach location. The staff were superb, so friendly and helpful. Listening to the waves lapping the beach throughout the night. Great plentiful breakfast.
Cons: Shower pressure was a bit low.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food was wonderful, very fresh and well prepared. The snorkel diving at the resort is amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Thank so much to Eric and his team for an awesome time, we look forward to our next visit.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Tranquility Island Resort - Moso Island - Outdoors view

9.1 Excellent (59 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Tranquility Island Resort in Moso Island, you'll be on the beach and 10.8 mi (17.4 km) from Mele Cascades. Featured amenities include luggage storage and a safe deposit box at the front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available on request).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is awesome. I came here to recharge my batteries and disconnect with the world...and that's exactly what I did. Jenni and Hunter and all of the other staff are lovely - they've got this chilled and laid back outlook to their work, but you can also tell so much goes on behind the scenes and they cater to your needs really well. As a female lone traveller I'd highly recommend this place, a great balance of a small intimate group of other guests but plenty of your own space if you want it. The island is beautiful, Boots and Socks were my fav. I'd love to come back.
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved our stay at Tranquility Island resort in September 2019. After booking and reading reviews in anticipation we were concerned that it was going to be a waste of money. We were blown away by our stay! The beach hut was such a cool experience and chatting with the other islanders at meal times was definitely a highlight. The snorkelling was incredible and just a short walk or right off the beach in front of the hut (We even got to see a turtle). The meals were all delicious and we personally enjoyed the endless Tea and Coffee supplied throughout the day. Would definitely come back here for a longer time and learn how to dive!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This was a really nice relaxing experience. The accommodation is secluded & right on the beach. Plenty of opportunities to go snorkelling (or diving if that’s your thing) either straight off the beaches or out on the boat trips. There are also some bush walks to secluded caves & beaches and you can visit the sanctuary where they are raising turtles to be released into the wild. The managers Jenni & Hunter and all the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Thanks! I’d love to go back one day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Jenni and Hunter were amazing! Plus all the other staff too where just gold. Food was great, activities were fab and generally have nothing that we didn't love about it. You must stay here on your trip to Vanuatu... It was the highlight of our trip!!!
Cons: Nothing... Everything was perfect!!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Tranquillity Island Eco Resort is not a luxurious 5* resort with all the mod-cons. If that's what you are looking for, then this is not the place for you. I was seeking the opposite. Relaxation, peace and quiet, intimacy with nature, and head space to focus on some study, work and down time. Tranquillity Island Resort really is just that. Tranquil. The fares are basic but perfectly equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean each night gave me some of the best night sleeps I've had in a long time. The resort managers, Jenni and Hunter, are awesome. They make you feel at home from the moment you set foot on the island. They run the place in a professional but friendly manner, and nothing is too much trouble. The resort staff are equally as friendly and accommodating. The 3 daily meals are more than substantial to get you through a day of bushwalking, diving or hammock napping and are cooked with love by the team in the kitchen. The diving was good and we had some great visibility and a good number of sites to choose from. The turtle sanctuary is a great initiative and it was great to be able to provide some technical input, and also participate in a beach clean up. I really had a great time.
Cons: Nothing. I really had a great time. It was the perfect combination of rustic, low-key and friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Management were great and there was a different menu every day. You could have your room serviced every day if required. Nothing was any trouble for the friendly staff. Was lucky enough to release a Turtle - that was awesome.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Tranquility Island is exactly what it’s name says
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: the manager Thomas was very nice and helpful when my husband got food poisoning
Cons: lack of cleanliness, restaurant food ok but no choices

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location of the property with its outlook was great. A little bit of a walk from Port Villa but getting there is easy by bus. Rooms are very spacious we had a one bedroom apartment with pool. Very clean, great breakfast everyday. Best of all the Staff were all very helpful and attentive, especially Fabiola with booking trips. Highly recommend
Cons: Nothing.
7.0 Good
Pros: The view from apartments was amazing, and we got a lovely breeze being up so high (ideal for a humid place and kept the mosquitoes away). Spacious apartment, awesome to have a private pool and pretty easy to get into town walking or by taxi (bus). Manager was very welcoming on arrival!
Cons: Room wasn’t as clean as we would have liked - the bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly (found hair and stains in the toilet upon arrival) and there were ants in the kitchen. However we had a really nice stay, it was a great getaway for the two of us.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The furnishings were beautiful and made the Terrace feel so comfortable! The view from the whole Terrace both inside and outside plus upstairs and downstairs! Privacy was done fairly well for each Terraces plunge pool. Perfect for couples. Very central location.
Cons: The noisy wooden stairs in each Terrace! I was so paranoid I was disturbing the neighbors each time I walked up or down the stairs because I knew I could hear them. The lack of assistance with our luggage to/from the Terrace. With the amount of stairs, it’s the last thing you want to be doing after just arriving or leaving in the muggy weather. Definitely would have been nice to have this arranged, without requesting it as the information book suggested.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff great..facilities great
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The appartment i stay in was exceptional on so many levels. Firstly because of the immense size of the booking, i think it was around 152 square metres. Now most hotels range between 16-28 square meters. This was equipped with a really modern kitchen area, huge lounge room & dinning space that opens up onto the infinity style pool on the (bottom level)veranda , yes upstairs has one also.. two toilets one downstairs & the other upstairs in the master bedroom suite along with a large shower & lovely bathtub! The bathroom also has plenty of room for storing toiletries for 2-3 people. The suite also has a very very big walk in wardrobe enough room for your whole suitcase. Even a iron board is stores in the cupboard . the upstairs bed looks out over the neighboring Lagoons from up on the hill side.
Cons: The hot water took extremely long to come through the shower, although that’s expected in a country like Vanuatu , the kingbed that says in the description is actually just two king singles next to each other so if you are sleeping in the middle you will fall down between the two mattresses...

Pros: Amazing place to stay. Great staff, great location, food okay.
Cons: Internet is horrible. (Only thing wrong with this place.) If you need high speed bring it yourself. Lol
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful
Cons: A bit of a windy location but didn’t stop us having a great time.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly. The starter pack in the kitchen was so helpful to start cooking with.
Cons: Extra seat for the table for 3 people to sit down.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Whole resort well maintained and clean. Great view from room. Excellent snorkelling.
Cons: Wifi only accessible from balcony and public areas. DVD selection was terrible so bring your own entertainment for evenings. Only relevant for rainy nights though. Listing gave the impression there was an adults pool but there isn’t. Lots of screaming kids in the pool. Don’t expect peace there. Can be found down on the beach though.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, very nice room and amazing view, Short trip into town. Nice and quiet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: All meals were excellent
Cons: It was perfect
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff, very comfortable room. Nice pool and beach. We also had a fantastic massage. It was a very quiet and relaxed resort.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities where fanatsic and the staff more then accommodating.
Cons: Only issue was that our food got mixed up at the resturant. Nothing serious.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Pretty convenient located, close to Port Vila. The rooms are pretty high standard, equipped with what you need. The beach is okay, but maybe not what to expect from a paradise island. The pools is also nice. The food in the café is excellent! And the staff are helpful in arranging tours.
Cons: It's not the most charming place, and the pricing of food in the café is really high (even though it also is excellent). The outdoor gym was broken (three out of four machines, which otherwise would have been a nice adding). I also think that snorkeling equipment could have been included in the price.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice large room, comfortable bed, beautiful pool, restaurant is excellent. Staff were adequate but certainly not hugely friendly. The gardener was super friendly though. And security guards.
Cons: No hot water for 3 days till they moved us to a new room, TV was broken and had to be replaced, DVD player also had to be replaced as it didnt work either and I seem to have contracted Tinea on my feet from the shower. Also very windy the whole time we were there so we couldn't swim in the ocean.

4.6 Okay
Pros: The ladies who who cleaned and served our breakfast were lovely and helpful. Reception was closed so they had to do everything
Cons: Uncomfortable beds. Dirty quilt. Basic and dreary room. Glad we were only there one night. Outdoor furnishings were old tatty and faded. If it wasn’t for the fire show next door we would have had a terrible stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money and everything was above our expectations hired a car but could have managed easily without for what we wanted to do. Drink prices great and facilities more than adequate would definitely go again.

Cons: The bar closed too early

Pros: We had an amazing stay at the beachfront apartments! There were heaps of free facilities such as kayaks, bikes and badminton to keep us entertained. The staff were super nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend beachfront apartments. It was a bit out of the main Port Vila town which was good for us as it was nice and quiet and chill.

7.9 Good
Pros: John is a great host and the property is on the beach and very close to the top tourist spots.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Only the couple who runs the business; both John & Janette were nice & helpful
Cons: It’s too far from the city center & isolated area; the closest ATM is 10 minutes drive. The Devil Rd is extremely rough, not good if you have back or neck problems. You need to have a car to stay in this area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hosts - so helpful and friendly
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very great place to go.
Cons: Not availability of Wifi
5.4 Okay
Pros: The ocean view from our room and from the resort generally was very beautiful. Our bungalow was delightful in a simple way which we were quite happy with. The continental breakfast is nicely served.
Cons: There is not really a sandy beach and snorkeling is hazardous due to shallow depth and strong windward tides. You need to hire a car if you want to see the island at your own pace. The dinner service is random and overpriced.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Hosts are very personable and accommodating. The dinners with them were a highlight particularly the sauces and desserts that John makes. Breakfast down on the beach was very nice also. We liked the fact it was out of town so it was very quiet and peaceful.
Cons: Not really any wifi although I believe that’s a problem throughout the island and not an issue for us as it’s a beach holiday so who needs internet?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast in the beach hut was a great way to start the day and the hosts were amazing. They cook great meals that are really worth experiencing for their guests for dinner and they have many interesting stories about Vanuatu to listen to. They really go above and beyond.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, lovely staff , home away from home

Featured amenities include a computer station, express check-out, and dry cleaning/laundry services. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great (an easy 6km walk to town, or a cheap ride in a 'bus'), fantastic surroundings, no WiFi or TV in room so we spent time talking, playing cards and reading instead of having our device's strapped to our faces. Very easy to spend a whole day chilling at the resort, sunning and snorkeling. Buffet breakfast was great and generous (cereal, toast, pastries, fruits, cheese, meat, eggs, bacon). Restaurant had phenomenal Italian food (thanks to the Italian head chef!). Very friendly staff, always felt safe. Really enjoyed everything.
Cons: If I had to identify one issue, it would be that the sink needed some draino, but that was the only minor issue, and only noticeable when spitting out toothpaste.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A extraordinary location matched by first rate staff and service .I simply cannot wait to go back.
Cons: I was simply impressed.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Relaxed yet well run
9.2 Excellent
Pros: I loved the staff, they were incredibly friendly. Everything was clean and well looked after. The location was good, only a 10 minute drive to Port Vila. We ate at the hotel every night and the food was AMAZING! We didn’t want to eat anywhere else, we got involved in the Melanesian Feast night and also had the Paella on Paella night which was so delicious... and French night... omg... the best Chicken Fracasse ever served anywhere. The pool was beautiful an well maintained. The beach was a little disappointing because we could only swim at high tide because the reef is so shallow and high tide was very early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The bar was great and the staff very accommodating, especially at happy hour which was the busiest time. There was music or entertainment every night. The check in and checkout procedure was effortless. The concierge was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
Cons: The bathrooms could be a little more up market for my liking, however I appreciate they are in keeping with the Melanesian theme of the resort. The shower was luke warm and very little pressure, not the end of the work and this would not prevent me from staying there again because the whole place was fantastic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The serenity and location. If you want to do nothing but nurture yourself this is the resort. Fab pool, private beach and lovely hammocks around the resort. The staff were very generous and caring.
Cons: Everything was lovely. Perfect alternative to larger resorts.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The set up of the hotel is great! perfect way to unplug from busy life. Most of the staff is really nice and always happy to help.
Cons: some nigh entertainment got canceled due to low numbers. This was disappointing as we planned our nights accordingly.

Pros: Hostel manager Dan and all his employees made us feel very welcome and they all did everything they could to make our stay the best for us. We were a big group traveling together and we all got rooms next to each other. Dan was always around being cheerful and sweet. He answered all our questions about the place and gave us suggestions about what to do and where to go. The hostel is close to Port Vila and it's easy to get around from there. This is good value for money. I would recommend this place to people traveling to Efate!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were very good as there were plenty of choices available.
Cons: I would have preferred if there was a much wider choice of coffee.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful gardens and surroundings. Access to many facilities and things to do on the island. Staff were great
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very accomodating especially Marlon and Moana. Everything is spread out. The kid’s facilities were at one end and the pool bar at the other end for the adults without children. Water front room was awesome and with paying a bit more for. Great resort would highly recommend a stay.
Cons: Lack of transportation to get around the island. More choices of snack food at the pool bar. Island needs a small shop for snacks and drinks
7.9 Good
Pros: The staff were fantastic and are the highlight of the resort. They were very helpful, friendly and nothing felt like it was too much trouble. Our spa experience was so relaxing - you can find cheaper options in the city but you do get your value for money. We were able to take out the catamaran on our last day and the guys in the water sports area were awesome - super helpful.
Cons: As far as the atmosphere of the resort, it felt like a cruise ship. Maybe this suits some travellers but we wanted a more authentic/less commercial Vanuatu feel. The bungalows don’t feel traditional and the island is crowded with them, it’s hard to find open space. We wouldn’t recommend the food in the restaurants - this isn’t a criticism against the chefs, as they are definitely doing their best, but it’s the supplier of the produce and meat that is low quality for the price, compared to the other dining options in Port Vila. We were hoping for a more authentic feeling island experience, as we had at our previous accommodation at Coco Beach, but Iririki almost felt like an over-priced theme park.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely and very helpful. Beautiful views from the infinity pool and rooms. Rooms were quiet and comfortable.
Cons: Luke warm water in the rooms - was disappointing to not have a hot shower the whole trip! The food across the island was pretty terrible and not what you’d expect for the location and price (we ate at all of the restaurants).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great holiday room , food and service was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Where do I even start? This was our first time to visit this beautiful country which is home to our Melanesian wantoks. We visited from Brisbane, AU. Travelled with my mum and sister. Stayed from the 1st of Nov to the 5th. From the airport transfer, getting on the ferry from the mainland to checking in- everything in between was done smoothly. I opted for the Ocean view room- and wow! I’m glad I did! The room was clean, had a spacious bathroom and the views across Mele bay were to die for! In addition to this, the apartment has all the amenities required to make our 5 day stay enjoyable. My sister and I particularly enjoyed the hot tub on the balcony- such a nice addition! Absolutely loved the resort’s location- close to the mainland and everything but still felt like your own secluded pocket of paradise. The resort grounds were immaculately kept- as an avid plant lover, the variety of tropical plants adorning the resort’s grounds was a feast for my eyes
Cons: Would’ve loved to see the swim up bar in the sunset pool area in action, but seems like maybe there was a low occupancy rate or we may have visited in the off- peak season. Other than that, couldn’t really fault anything else!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The villa was well appointed and had hotel quality white bed linen and towels were excellent quality and fluffy. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need to cook, toaster, kettle, frying pans and pots. The location is oceanfront and you can hear the waves crashing. The thing that sets this property apart has to be the people, Gerry is professional and available and her team of gardeners, housekeepers and drivers take the time to make your stay really special. You will have the chance to meet local people at this resort and that is what makes this Island so special. It is walking distance to Zipline and Mele Cascades. Close to Mele beach Bar and Hideaway island which both worth a visit!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Island Magic was the perfect location for relaxing and rest. The location has it's pros and cons. It is 20 minutes from town and the last 5 minutes is along a 2km dirt road which was very bumpy until it was graded in the last 2 days. But, it is away from all the hustle and bustle and right by the water (not the lagoon) and if the wind is down the snorkelling out the front of the jetty is pretty good (warning the wind is down early in the morning, so be prepared to get up around 6am). Gerry is a great manager who is great with the guests and only too happy to help with anything. The restaurant is better than the average resort hotel with many many tasty dishes and one Sunday we had the Indonesian Feast which was amazing. If you don't hire a car be prepared to pay a driver 400 vatu each person, but Nono is the most beautiful person, a great driver and is worth every cent and more. He is ever reliable too which is important. He got up at 4am to drive us to the airport. Also being self contained you save on eating out, which is not as cheap as you would expect, basically being around Aussie prices.
Cons: 20 minute ride to town was less than ideal but it also had it's advantages. You just have to factor that into the cost. We had two kids who we ended up staying at home (which was fine by them) to cut down the costs. Also the wifi was average at best but that is not uncommon in Vanuatu. My wife was happy as it kept me and the kids off the net.
7.1 Good
Pros: Coral reef was pretty good. You can hear the waves right from your Boongala. Fully equipped kitchen
Cons: All kitchen cabinets is old and smiley. Needs renovation. When we checked in the shower heads in both bathrooms was leaking everywhere, but been chenged then we completed.
7.9 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast, lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Pretty, peaceful location, but furthur from town than I expected, so transport could be costly.
7.9 Good
Pros: Access to snorkeling
Cons: Management could be more polite to the staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quiet location on a marine reserve section of the harbour. Well kept gardens and staff very friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: AMAZING, fantastic snorkelling like previous reviews! However what made our stay was the team... THANK YOU Gerry, Joe, Lonnie, Fare, Helen, Monica, Giovanni :) fantastic place to stay, highly recommend & can't wait to book our next trip.
Cons: Nothing, was all fantastic.

Pros: Breakfast was great. Location was exceptional.
Cons: Make sure the fans work properly and plenty of toilet paper. Everything else was great.

7.1 Good
Pros: Nice villas and pool area.
Cons: Location is a bit far from town, free internet in restaurant was not working during our stay.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for 2 nights and we were really pleased with the service we got. The staff was very helpful arranging a rental car, booking a seafood restaurant, and offering a late check out (free of charge). Pool / Room service is free of charge as well. Great value for money!
Cons: I would have liked the 'light' breakfast that was included in the room rate a bit bigger (bowl of muesli, or fruit salad with small yogurt, or 2 mini croissants + juice + plunger coffee/tea), but it is definitely still better than nothing :) Wifi was only free in the restaurant (but didn't work for half of the time), which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you are there to relax and disconnect.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean, quiet, comfortable furnishings.
Cons: Limited utensils etc to prepare even a snack in the room. Charge for internet, seriously!?. Charge for using a credit card excessive.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The standard bungalow was brilliant. It was much larger than we expected with almost a separate living space next to a mini kitchenette. The resort facilities are great with multiple pools dotted around the grounds and vegetation to give privacy when sunbathing. Food prices are really reasonable too compared to other resorts we'd stayed in. Very friendly and accommodating staff members.
Cons: We had a continental breakfast included in the price of the room which was nice but the portions were small. I ordered the muesli and fruit salad and luckily a side of natural yogurt as there was no other accompaniment to the muesli! My friend has poached egg on toast; the toast was cold and the eggs were a little hard. The toasted sandwiches and wedges we had for lunch were excellent though!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff, very pleasant setting ,quality restaurant and ready access to transport.
Cons: The should be wholemeal toast with breakfast.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay. The bures are large and well appointed. Staff are great, especially the massage hut, and Fabi is hugely helpful in recommending and booking tours.
Cons: The restaurant is lovely but quite pricey.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The sun beds The restaurant The appearance of the property was beautiful
Cons: The lack of wardrobe space

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Owner provided an excellent breakfast and was no cut off time for it so could have a long sleep in if I wanted to. Very personal touch with the owner being your host, and a very easy person to get alone with. Glenn couldn't do enough for you. The coral reef and beautiful fish that is in your front yard is amazing snorkeling.
Cons: It was a bit far out of Port Villa, but was pretty easy to get a bus at a very reasonable price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Teouma Reef Resort was just perfect! Glenn is an amazing host. He showed us around the area, drove us to the main road or to a nearby restaurant and made sure we had everything we needed. He offered us snorkeling gear free of charge and the corals right next to the resort are the most beautiful I have seen so far. Glenn has an amazing eye for details that make guests welcome and cared for (flowers on the tables, almond and soy milk for breakfast,...). We would definitely come again.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The resort was so lovely. It's secluded, peaceful and relaxing. It is a few steps from the beach and has the best snorkeling area. The villa was spacious and clean. Glen is so kind, helpful and has so much food available for breakfast.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Glenn is excellent and works hard to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. The rooms are clean and tidy with all required conveniences. Glenn is generous with facilities and providing a great place to stay. Snorkeling on the reef is awesome!
Cons: It’s a good 20 min drive out of town with cash being hard to come by and transport is needed to get places. Just minor inconveniences
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a lovely peaceful location in a garden setting with its own private beach. Glenn was very helpful and generally all round nice guy. Cabin was private, secure, clean, comfortable, spacious and great value for money.
Cons: Having to leave :(
7.9 Good
Pros: We were away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It was quite rural and we met up with many fabulous local people from the nearby village. Glenn our host was a real gem!
Cons: Having to use bottled water to clean our teeth. Unsealed roads.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Glenn is an amazing host, and he really created a lovely paradise right on the bay. Even though the weather wasn’t all that, we had an amazing time in the comfortable, spacious studio (with the best view!) There is a kitchenette with basic supplies to cook up a simple meal. Breakfast is included, and has the most varieties of cereals that I have ever seen haha! Also fresh fruit and bread and spreads to choose from. The turtle sanctuary next door is small but cute (we saw tiny turtles that are less than a week old!) Thanks Glenn for the great stay!
Cons: I was hoping to get some work done, but the WiFi wasn’t strong enough for that (Haven’t found a place in Vanuatu yet that HAS strong enough WiFi, so it’s not a big downside at all) The only thing to be aware of is that there are no restaurants within walking distance so bring your own groceries (or be prepared to take transport) We knew this in advance so it wasn’t a problem for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Teouma Reef Resort was such a relaxing break even though I stayed just one night. The atmosphere is so peaceful, the reef corals gorgeous and the rooms perfectly self contained for a longer stay. Breakfast variety was abundant and Glenn so very helpful, nothing was too difficult. I would definitely recommend this resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful. Location right on the reef. Amazing corals.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Glen, Smiley and the fact that it was literally located on the shore. Easy to jump in the water and enjoy the corals and its fishes. Glen was the best host I have ever seen. Always kind, patient, ready to help, give advice and give us anything he could to make us enjoy our stay. He got breakfast every morning ready for us, with freshly cut organic fruits. He used his good relations and knowledge to show us things that we couldn't have seen in the classic tourist places. I couldn't recommend more to go in his little paradise. My wife and I couldn't dream of a better honeymoon. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you, Glen! ;)

When you stay at Hideaway Island Resort in Hideaway Island, you'll be on the waterfront, a 3-minute drive from Mele Cascades and 9 minutes from Iririki Island. Featured amenities include luggage storage, laundry facilities, and a library. A ferry terminal shuttle is provided at no charge, and free self parking is available onsite.
6.7 Good
Pros: Awesome place on a beautiful little island. Staff is super welcoming and at night all you hear are the waves on the beach nearby. The boat transfer is quick and goes all the time from the island to the mainland, no matter what time of day/night, and it's free. Try their free snorkelling excursion too.
Cons: Transfer: Don't bother with their transfer. Mine never turned up. The excuse was that the driver probably had something else to do. Regular local minibuses on the main road cost only about Vt 300, so it will save you a bunch too. School groups: Be aware that Hideaway Island takes school groups. While I was there a school group started playing volleyball at 6am right in front of my room.
7.9 Good
Pros: Great location, with great snorkelling, free activities if you stay there with them. Staff were friendly.
5.0 Okay
Pros: berkkie was continental and basic - great coffee
Cons: the hard bed
5.4 Okay
Pros: I've seen this resort passing by and it looks very nice.
Cons: Had to cancel my reservation a week before my reservation but couldn't get my money back. To be fair, this is clearly stated in their policy. I just wish they were a bit more forgiving.
7.9 Good
Pros: Staff are fantastic. They were able to accommodate my request fo a certain room number at short notice, which was very much appreciated. I'd come and stay again if it weren't for the school groups they take, which makes the place noisy.
Cons: Don't book their transfers, as they won't turn up anyway. Get a local minibus instead, or grab a taxi which will cost just as much or less if you barter. School groups can spoil the otherwise quiet atmosphere.
7.9 Good
Pros: The snorkeling right out front was calm and good, feel worlds away on the island but your not! So very affordable and they gave many of us our own cabin!
Cons: Explanation of what to do when dropped At the jetty not just left ! Was easy once I knew.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Rooms are private. Possible to snorkel straight off the beach.
6.7 Good
Pros: Glass bottom boat was wonderful and included with the accomodation
6.0 Good
Pros: Liked the snorkelling, the wildlife.
Cons: Cost of food. Cost of any trips to other locations. Not the fault of the resort, just that every beach, waterfall etc has a charge to visit, and some seem a bit steep, when you are family of 4.
