Pros: Excellent food, gorgeous private villas, very helpful and friendly staff.
Cons: Honestly there is nothing that I didnt like about Eratap.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was beyond our expectations, the service, friendly helpful staff, beautiful unit, excellant facilities, excellant food. Loved our stay.
Cons: When it rained hahaha.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is relaxed unpretentious luxury in an amazing location. Friendly staff and very good food. Absolutely loved our stay!!
Cons: Nothing negative to report the only thing we would change is that we’d stay longer next time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were amazing. The location was spectacular. The rooms had heaps of privacy, you felt like you had the island to yourself at times. It wasn’t crowded, there was nice snorkelling off the beach and you could eat meals with your feet in the sand, or have the same food brought to your villa. The outdoor huts are amazing, great spot to read and watch the world go by. The sound of waves was just perfection. You could do as much or little as you wanted.
Cons: Really hard to fault this place. It’s expensive, but worth it. A real gem.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Having to come home
4.3 Okay
Cons: The road into the resort was in the most terrible condition km of bumps and ditches the thought of leaving the resort after you got to it just made you feel like couldn’t do it the cab drivers in town won’t take you home because of the road so you can’t go out unless you go on the resort van to town and it returns after 1 hour so it not enough time Fix the road for goodness sake
6.8 Good
Pros: Outstanding staff. Thanks to Pascale, Angela, Georgia, Robert, Ciel, Paulo and the rest of the team!
Cons: Nothing I can think of!
Paradise Cove Resort - Port Vila - Pool
2
9.5 Excellent (100 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our stay at Paradise Cove was outstanding. Marc and Constance have thought of everything and they both make an effort to socialise with all the guests which makes the experience a lot more personal. Constance and Marc also helped us in recommending tours and even organised them for us which was so helpful. The villa was beautiful and had everything we needed in it (coffee, fruit, air con, towels, books, shower essentials etc) - we were so relaxed there. The food is also very good and plenty choice on the menu to try each night. The staff were exceptional (special shout out to Esther who went above and beyond with us and really had a laugh). We would absolutely love to return and will be recommending to anyone/everyone! Absolutely fabulous!!
Cons: Wish we stayed longer!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great experience!!! Our family has lived for a week and is very happy stay in Paradise Cove Resort! The best place to dive, you can see a large number of fish. All diving equipment, bicycles and kayak are available free to charge. Not only is the scenery beautiful, but also the services are really perfect!! Do not miss this resort!
Cons: None
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Small but perfectly formed! The snorkelling straight off the jetty into the coral is amazing.
Cons: its a bit of a pain to get into town with the buses, but to be honest thats part of the attraction to being remote
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Perfect place to relax and unwind. Small but beautiful boutique resort. Excellent service and the owners were very welcoming and helpful
Cons: Food is a bit pricy.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful grounds, peaceful & quiet, stunning reef and incredible range of colourful fish and marine life right straight off the jetty, very helpful, friendly and attentive staff, lovely management- again attentive, helpful and friendly. Food at restaurant was of a high standard, but also have the option of self catering which is useful if staying more than a couple of days, villas well set up with all you need. All in all a fabulous experience. Highly recommend it!
Cons: Can’t think of a thing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the fact that the villa was close to the water and that there was great snorkelling at the resort
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and showed genuine affection towards our son. The facilities are excellent and snorkelling right of the beach was magical. Most of all, we loved spending time in the Nakamal playing games and enjoying the exceptional food. Constance and Marc were fabulous hosts and we would have no hesitation in recommending a stay.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome
Cons: Problem with hot water but was fixed promptly
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Paradise cove is beautiful, everything is perfect! But what makes it more is the staff! They are the best! So kind, and welcoming with beaming smiles. will help you in anyway! Will guide you in anything you want to do in Vanuatu...
Cons: Breakfast! From all our travelling we are used to eggs or bacon options being on the menu in the breakfast included. We got a bit over bread and croissants after a few days. We had to watch our budget so stuck by this most days. This is a small negative in regards to how much we loved our stay here!
The Moso Vanuatu - Port Vila - Bedroom

9.6 Excellent (39 reviews)

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is located on a private island where there is only this resort so you have to share that paradise with only few people
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location with friendly staff and great snorkelling Good food
Cons: More people
10.0 Excellent
Pros: PARADISE, I am lost for words about how amazing this place is. From as soon as we landed in Port Vila to the journey back to the airport we were looked after beyond belief. The Moso is truly a place shut off from the world and relax. Joel and Antoun have built something very special on a island which is very unique. The rooms are beautifully designed and very roomy. All the staff are so friendly, helpful and full of laughter. There are 4 beautiful dogs who follow you around and like to be with you and accompany you to the beaches. Snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking are right on your doorstep... incredible reefs and lots of colorful sea life to see! Now the food!! 10/10!! - Each day it is prepared fresh with local catches, Jay the chef creates an executive menu everyday and it is divine! Thanks to all the staff here who made our stay here memorable, I had a few tears waving goodbye to Helen, Mike and Clifford as our boat departed to head to the airport. WE WILL BE BACK SOON!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful remote location, large villa with stylish island decoration, very Eco-oriented but still with hot water! Very good small but healthy and tasty menu changing every day, with lovely friendly staff. Only a handful of villas so always quiet, and mainly couples.
Cons: All excursions off or around the island were expensive, even transfers to the mainland 10 mins by boat away, and especially the transfers to/from the airport (15,000VT each way!) so factor this in to overall expenses as seems unavoidable. If you are an experienced snorkeller do NOT do the Turtle Reef Snorkel Adventure trip - it's a family 'fun' trip and only went to one spot with ok coral and fish but not much better than that off Moso. Moso Resort should take it off their list as its not at all appropriate for the type of guest who would choose to stay there. Also the food at Wahoo Bar is not as good as, and more expensive than on Moso (unless you crave chips!)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, great views, food overall is generally good quality and fresh, walks to visit secluded beach and discovering local villages on the island is a highlight.
Cons: Rustic accommodation means you need to leave your villa to the bistro for wifi, to make a cup of tea, for cold drinks etc. Bistro can feel a little awkward at times. A suggestion is chalk board in bistro for menus and islands activities instead of printing menu's at last minute. If staying for many nights food, drinks, transfers and activities can get a little expensive.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location of the hotel was amazing. Secluded and quiet. We particularly enjoyed walking to the private beach on the other side of the island, recently acquired by the hotel. The private beach was stunning -great snorkelling and not a soul in sight. Most of the food was delicious.
Cons: Some aspects of the hotel were a little rundown (e.g. holes in the insect screens in the room) and the food was very expensive.
4.3 Okay
Pros: nothing thats why we will never stay there again
Cons: they ran out of basic food . for a relatively new place to many things were broken . basic things like salt @pepper and sugar were put on the table
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent breakfast of local fruit and breads, included in the price.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Moso offers a beautiful location, friendly staff, amazing food and great service. We are so glad we booked this resort, and we will definitely be back! Do yourself a favour, stop researching and just book it, you will not be disappointed.
Cons: We didn't stay longer...
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Stunning beachfront, a quick walk across the island and the beach was even more spectacular with snorkeling right off the beach.
Cons: Breakfast was a bit basic.

Pros: Great view from the room and easy access to the beach. Comfy bed and good bathroom. The restaurant had an extensive menu and the food was great ! Also a large wine list (Not all available though). Airport transfers were good value also.

Pros: Beautiful and very relaxing atmosphere
Cons: L
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great for us. Accommodations were beautiful. Staff was very attentive.
Cons: We received towels that were stained, they need to replace. Also, the restaurant got very loud one night due to a private party, and it went on until 1am. Very difficult to sleep for those of us close to the restaurant which usually closed at 9.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing rooms and location was beautiful. Food was also spectacular!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, close to the city Service excellent- they really went out of their way to help us, service us, make bookings for us, were flexible and very informative about the different services out there. The staff really helped us.
Cons: This is nitpicking at best but the bathroom door had to be slammed shut to properly close, apart from that there is nothing else as we were happy
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fatumaru is a perfect accomodation on the waters edge, close to the town centre. The staff are professional, helpful and will do everything to make your stay perfect. Hello to Jennifer,Julie,Mary and Rae! The rooms are large and well stocked with kitchenware ,the gardens and pool are maintained very well. It is peaceful and the views from the balcony are lovely. The breakfast is delicious too. I recommend Fatumaru without hesitation.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It is very handy for town visiting staff are great and has good breakfast.
Cons: Located in a no swim area.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the 2 BR Efate suite which was enormous, a real bonus on the couple of wet days. Huge balcony with pleasant filtered views out to the bay. Staff were really helpful. Beds could be a little more comfortable. Full kitchen and enormous shower. Short walk to town and many good restaurants.
Cons: Very little, being extra picky we would have liked 4 SUP's so whole family could go out together and more comfortable mattress would be great.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: well appointed and very comfortable, well built. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: We had plenty of space in our two bedroom apartment. Appreciated the well-stocked kitchenette with double burner, microwave and fridge. We enjoyed using the canoes and paddleboards on the lagoon. It is a decent walk into the centre of Vila, but it was great being so close to the wonderful French bakery.
Cons: Location is a little bit out of the way. Breakfast was expensive so we self-catered. Wifi was a bit hit-and-miss, though certainly better than the other places we have stayed in Vanuatu.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I loved the location of the property being within walking distance to the main street including restaurants and shops. Loved the staff, they were friendly and really helpful.
Cons: I didnt fully look at the layout of the property, we had a studio as well as a family room and I thought the family room would've been closer to the studio however I didnt realise they were separate
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and romantic setting right on the sea. Lovely studio - you can feel a lot of thought was put in every detail. The staff is very warm and helpful.
The Terraces Boutique Apartments - Port Vila - Building

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Liked the large bed which was very comfortable. Also liked the infinity pool
Cons: The food in the restaurant was disappointing and seemed to be overpriced. What was served did not always match what was on the menu (eg lentil beetroot and bean salad was actually lettuce beetroot and feta salad).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was wonderful having the private plunge pool with the added bonus of an impressive view over Erakor Lagoon! Also the apartment was beautifully decorated, spacious and well equipped, so it was very easy to feel very comfortable and relaxed. Staff at the adjoining resort Mangoes, were very friendly and helpful too
Cons: N/A
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The furnishings were beautiful and made the Terrace feel so comfortable! The view from the whole Terrace both inside and outside plus upstairs and downstairs! Privacy was done fairly well for each Terraces plunge pool. Perfect for couples. Very central location.
Cons: The noisy wooden stairs in each Terrace! I was so paranoid I was disturbing the neighbors each time I walked up or down the stairs because I knew I could hear them. The lack of assistance with our luggage to/from the Terrace. With the amount of stairs, it’s the last thing you want to be doing after just arriving or leaving in the muggy weather. Definitely would have been nice to have this arranged, without requesting it as the information book suggested.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Well equipped and appointed apartment, comfy bed and furniture, friendly staff and management. Plunge pool was terrific with great views over lagoon, lovely breezes. Proximity to Mangoes restaurant, supermarket and town. Overall a fabulous self contained apartment.
Cons: Could have done with a small outdoor table setting on plunge pool deck instead of the two chunky chairs and tiny coffee table and no outdoor chairs on upper balcony.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone including management were so friendly and accommodating. The apartments were spectacular and very spacious.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff great..facilities great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The appartment i stay in was exceptional on so many levels. Firstly because of the immense size of the booking, i think it was around 152 square metres. Now most hotels range between 16-28 square meters. This was equipped with a really modern kitchen area, huge lounge room & dinning space that opens up onto the infinity style pool on the (bottom level)veranda , yes upstairs has one also.. two toilets one downstairs & the other upstairs in the master bedroom suite along with a large shower & lovely bathtub! The bathroom also has plenty of room for storing toiletries for 2-3 people. The suite also has a very very big walk in wardrobe enough room for your whole suitcase. Even a iron board is stores in the cupboard . the upstairs bed looks out over the neighboring Lagoons from up on the hill side.
Cons: The hot water took extremely long to come through the shower, although that’s expected in a country like Vanuatu , the kingbed that says in the description is actually just two king singles next to each other so if you are sleeping in the middle you will fall down between the two mattresses...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: beautiful view, private pool and spacious room for relaxation, staff are friendly and helpful. reception has a tourist desk for booking excursions, and a list of taxi prices for destinations eg. 2000VT (around A$25) to airport - very thoughtful.
Cons: not 10 minutes walking distance to the city center as claimed; in particular it's an unpleasant walk in hot humid weather - more like a brisk 20-25 minutes walk
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Arrived at midnight and were picked up at the airport by transfers organised by The Terraces. We were delivered to the property where we were met by the nightwatchman and let into our 1 bedroom, 2 level apartment. Beds were comfortable and the apartment had a large bathroom with walk-in shower, bath and toilet, with a 2nd toilet downstairs. The apartment had a full kitchen with dishwasher, full size fridge, oven and microwave - if you wanted to cook your own meals (though we only used the microwave for breakfast) - along with pots, pans, and crockery. On our private deck we could lounge next to our own plunge pool while enjoying the weather with a view over Erakor lagoon. Mangoes next door has a restaurant which also provides room service to The Terraces for no delivery charge and with smiling Ni Van (native Vanuatan) staff. It is a relatively easy 10 minute walk into town (though beware of holes in the pavement - where there is pavement) but you can catch a bus for about 20c per person (just hail them on the road) or a taxi for about $6 per car load. The apartments were a great choice for us and lived up to our expectations but it is the staff that were the icing on the cake. From the time of arrival until the time you check out, they are more than helpful, extremely friendly and can't do enough for you. No wonder they have been voted the happiest people in the world!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great view, the size of the apartment’ room service didn’t cost anything extra, staff were very happy & accommodating
Cons: Can’t think of anything!

Pros: The room was amazing!!! The staff learnt and used your name immediately and it felt like family. The food a d views were glorious a d the grounds all well kept.
Cons: Nothing! Oh actually, no Pepsi ha ha that's it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing. The staff were all so friendly. We stayed for 4 days and absolutely loved every minute
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice staff, nice bungalows, good facilities
Cons: During low tide there is not really anything to do because the water level is so low you can’t swim, snorkel or go by kayak. You can snorkel by high tide but there is not much to see and water us not not that good here. It is totally overpriced, you can get far better places for the money we spent for the two nights there.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The Breakfast and location were great, staff perfect, there was only 1 hiccup which was resolved without concern within a couple of minutes by the General Manager, who we call Madam President (of Vanuatu), she is a perfect role model and friend to the staff. The hiccup was something I have done myself on regular occasions, wrong day, right location etc. In all everything was perfect. My friend Peter, had the best time and really enjoyed the warmth and humour of the staff, especially Blanca, Donald, Paul and the dining room staff, Donna and Anna were very helpful also and the young ladies in the office, they certainly knew how to handle Peter - (Peter Rabbit).
Cons: Nothing!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic local staff. Truely representative of Vanuatu - relaxed, very well educated, extremely friendly and not in your face.
Cons: The restaurant was OK, but if they paid more attention to upscaling the bar and restaurant it would become a destination food and beverage experience too - not simply a brilliant location, stunning beach resort.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The place was amazing for our honeymoon. Blanca provided us with exceptionally good service, always going out of her way to make sure we were happy and having a good time. She set us up with a great day trip. We would love to go back here.
Cons: Erakor was really lovely. The staff were friendly and the room delivery service was great. One evening, we sat at the restaurant waiting to order dinner and we waited so long for someone to take our order that we ended up asking for room service. This was a once-off though. The other times we went to the restaurant, staff were lovely and really helpful and friendly.

A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place to snorkel and kayak (free use) close to Vila. Great value breakfast
Cons: Dinner of average quality and very overpriced. Strongly recommend other restaurants close by.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We loved the way the staff at the resort interacted with our family, cutting up coconuts and other fruit, giving us a lift in the minibus into Port Vila (waiting while we shopped), delivering pizzas to our bungalow as it was too windy in the indoor/outdoor restaurant, baking muffins for our early-morning trip to the airport and telling us all about their little slice of paradise. Nothing was too much trouble. The bungalows (we had two as we are a family of six) were pristine and comfortable, with all the essentials. Once they have re-built the restaurant that was destroyed by Cyclone Pam, it will be even better.
Cons: No complaints at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right on the beach good food, great staff
Cons: No shopping nearby but staff are super useful and accommodating
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff here are just amazing and the rock pool rambles with kids are unbeatable!
Cons: There is limited wifi in the bedrooms (I see this as a bonus but some people may not prefer this).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying here. It was so relaxing, which is exactly what we needed. Loved being able to snorkel straight in front of our bungalow. Wearing our wetsuits meant we could stay out longer and protected us from the shallow parts of the reef. Staff are fantastic and always there to help you with booking trips or going to the fire show (which is excellent by the way) or anything we needed. We miss them all and we will be back.
Cons: It was a little difficult to get the shower to behave.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at Blue Bay go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing. Eric and his team should be highly commended for a great resort!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The friendly welcome and fabulous arrival drink ( a non-alcoholic fruit cocktail) were great. Pickup and drop-off to airport were timely and exactly as promised, even at 4am! The transfers to Port Vila, about 20 min away, were inexpensive and helpful. Much cheaper than a taxi. Zero traffic noise, a bonus when flying early. Airport was halfway between Blue Bay and Port Vila town. Watched movie for first time in 2 months of travel. Nice home comforts, spacious bathroom and privacy between two sleeping areas.
Cons: The weather was windy and unpleasant, so we never saw the beautiful, sheltered Blue Bay in the sunshine- however I can imagine canoeing out to the sandy fringing reef would be glorious on a better day. In the prevailing wind, the open style restaurant was a bit bleak, but Graeme's friendly warmth made up for that. The open plan indicates to me that it is seldom so chilly at Blue Bay. I would go again.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The bungalows are very comfortable; a nice lounge with comfy chairs and couch and even a tv and a possibility to watch movies from the usb. Amazing bed and the included breakfast was the best we had so far in all Vanuatu (Eggs your way, pancakes, fruit and cereal. We got two slices of bread with jam at most other places) The staff and owner are amazing: incredibly friendly, speak great English and are just overall super nice. They arrange very affordable transport to town, which is highly recommended. Even made two extra stops for us, which we really appreciated. Thanks for everything!
Cons: Wifi works well, but it was a bit of an hassle to get on there as there is a maximum to the number of users. But we managed after a while so all good. As we came from incredible white beaches with crystal clear water in Santo, we didn’t think this bay was all that blue ;) but that might also had to do something with the grey cloudy and rainy weather. Nearby beach is black sand
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Peace and quiet great place to relax and do nothing

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, love listening to the waves at night and went for a nice walk along the beach. Staff were awesome.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Beachfront location and apartment was spacious and clean.
Cons: Wasn’t told about the electric gate at the front and was not given the access key, so on our first day there we went out into port villa and returned around 7pm to a locked gate. After talking to local kids on bicycles they told us we could walk around the beach and gain access from the beachfront. Was not happy walking around in the dark especially as it was our first night and did not know the area. Could of been avoided with simple communication when we checked in.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, gorgeous pool and views, great food, excellent prices. Great room set up with fantastic facilities. Highly recommend!
Cons: First transfer to the hotel didnt show, the transfer to the airport only showed because I rang the number on the side of the van as they were 20 minutes late.

Pros: Amazing place to stay. Great staff, great location, food okay.
Cons: Internet is horrible. (Only thing wrong with this place.) If you need high speed bring it yourself. Lol
7.0 Good
Pros: The space and facilities in the units were great. The option to swim in the sea or the excellent pool was a bonus. And the staff were very responsive and helpful.
Cons: Our spacious apartment was on the waters edge with a great views but this was also the issue for us. The strength of the winds meant it was not possible to utilise the outside space or open the folder doors onto the balcony. The unit is also a little tired

Pros: Nice view. Great helpful staff. Easy access into Port Vila with buses always outside and 150 vatu one way. Lovely restaurant with excellent food. Nice pool and lovely loungers. Great snorkelling. Erakor Island across from Nasama was just a 15 min walk to the ferry and was an excellent day trip. Would highly recommend. The rooms are well equipped with full fridge and freezer and kitchen equipment.
Cons: Extremely windy as that part of the island is like a wind tunnel. No sun in the rooms due to the positioning of the rooms. The bar and restaurant are on the road side so no nice dining with a pool or beach view. A short walk to Breakas Resort and they have a beautiful beach and pool dining area. Tiny part of the beach to swim as the rest is rocky. I would recommend staying on the other side of Pango where it is much less windy and the water is a lot less choppy so more fun when kayaking and paddle boarding. On the other side of Pango you also get beautiful sunsets and afternoon sun. WIFI was terrible and doesn’t work in the rooms. Only on the balcony or by the pool.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was exactly what we hoped for. We rented 3 studio apartments. For us and out 2 adult children and one baby. Cot was provided. Rooms were cleaned every day. We were able to cook our dinners which was very nice as we wanted to sit around and talk and our one and 1/2 Year old could go to bed when tired without feeling hassled. Enough cooking utensils, good fridge. Great markets and big supermarket all easy to get to with the busses that pick you up for 150 vatus from the front. Good snorkeling and coral in front. This resort has waves and surfing is possible close by at Pango Point. Highly recommend this place for families with kids.
Cons: Nothing really. Maybe pool water good be heated. Internet could be a bit stronger inside the cottages.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay. With the convenience of kitchen. Pool is great a a small beach with snorkelling area straight out front. Friendly staff. Everything you need for a great stay in Port Villa.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous helpful staff, great restaurant and food, fantastic small private beach and swimming hole, quiet, highly recommend.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were wonderful, the food at Cafe Vila was delicious and the grounds were beautiful.
Cons: I paid extra for a seaview room as it was a very special occasion but there was only a garden view. The room did not reflect the photos linked to the seaview room and it did not have a lovely private balcony. I felt this was not honest.
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff were lovely and our room overlooked the water - we could hear the waves crashing which was amazing.
Cons: The one restaurant had good options and the wait staff were lovely but they regularly got our orders wrong. We had a couple of very long waits for food and with a young baby, it made it hard. We made some extra requests, such as a fan for the baby’s bedroom. The first response was essentially - not sure but we’ll see (with no follow up). The second response was yes, but no fan arrived. Finally after the third request, we got the fan.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was relatively quiet with privacy and good views. Good flexible room servicing.
Cons: Weak WIFI connection. Pushy local bus drivers.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The facilities where fanatsic and the staff more then accommodating.
Cons: Only issue was that our food got mixed up at the resturant. Nothing serious.

5.8 Okay
Pros: Only the couple who runs the business; both John & Janette were nice & helpful
Cons: It’s too far from the city center & isolated area; the closest ATM is 10 minutes drive. The Devil Rd is extremely rough, not good if you have back or neck problems. You need to have a car to stay in this area
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very great place to go.
Cons: Not availability of Wifi
5.5 Okay
Pros: The ocean view from our room and from the resort generally was very beautiful. Our bungalow was delightful in a simple way which we were quite happy with. The continental breakfast is nicely served.
Cons: There is not really a sandy beach and snorkeling is hazardous due to shallow depth and strong windward tides. You need to hire a car if you want to see the island at your own pace. The dinner service is random and overpriced.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Hosts are very personable and accommodating. The dinners with them were a highlight particularly the sauces and desserts that John makes. Breakfast down on the beach was very nice also. We liked the fact it was out of town so it was very quiet and peaceful.
Cons: Not really any wifi although I believe that’s a problem throughout the island and not an issue for us as it’s a beach holiday so who needs internet?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast in the beach hut was a great way to start the day and the hosts were amazing. They cook great meals that are really worth experiencing for their guests for dinner and they have many interesting stories about Vanuatu to listen to. They really go above and beyond.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: So close to the beach
Cons: A lot of bus drivers didn't know where it was.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and home cooked dinners were outstanding
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful, lovely staff , home away from home
9.5 Excellent
Pros: John and Janette were amazing hosts, they picked u sup from the airport, helped us booked trips to other islands and helped out wherever they could. We had dinner with them a couple of times and they are amazing home cooks as well. All in all a more than pleasant stay and we can only recommend waves on bukura to anyone!!
Cons: They only slightly negative is the location. It is handy to have your own transportation however John and Janette were very helpful giving lifts to town whenever required
7.5 Good
Pros: The food so great

Pros: Superb location and view. Friendly, helpful managment.
Cons: No wifi in the room only in public areas .
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice apartment overlooking the lagoon very close to the centre, but still quiet. Hosts were very nice
7.5 Good
Pros: Owner is very helpfull
Cons: its a sports bar with accommodation. there is no reception and no staff till 10am
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The best hotel in Port Vila, probably in Vanuatu. Hot water, nice view from the room, comfortable, calm location. Dan is a very nice and welcoming host. The restaurant is very pleasant. I loved everything, would not hesitate to stay again. If you don’t want to walk 20 minutes, buses to the center are available all the time.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great base for exploring Port Vila and accessing various tours/trips/sight seeing. In a quiet part of town, close to the museum and only a short walk to the centre. Friendly and accommodating staff who are more than happy to provide advice/information to visitors.
Cons: Would have liked an indoor communal table and chairs next to the shared kitchenette. More convenient for eating breakfast and a focal point for meeting/talking to other guests.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: -They waited for me even though I arrived after midnight! -Simple but good breakfast incl. -2000 VT by taxi, 300 by minibus from/to the airport
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good welcome from the hosts. Rooms are basic and simple - but the views from rooms 1 & 2 (and maybe others) are spectacular, they have a really good feel. Rooms 4 & 5 (and maybe others) are monastic cells with virtually no daylight - good for a place to sleep but only if arriving late and leaving early. Shared bathrooms are very good - excellent showers.
Cons: Breakfast is hit & miss. The host showed me where it was left in the fridge the previous evening: fruit, juice, bread for toasting, tea/coffee - looked great, but it was all gone when I woke up! The solution is to walk to the Port Vila wharf with many great cafes (or wake up early). "Seaside" Retreat is a little misleading - yes there is water and great views of the inlet but no beach.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful and beautiful location. Good wifi (better than more business oriented hotels in Port Vila). Clean pool. Relaxed, friendly owners. Quiet after 10pm
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Peace & quiet, amazing view, no restrictions on pool use (hours) so we could swim early before work. Spacious room & bathroom plus outdoor seating with the room with a great view over the lagoon. Owners so friendly & helpful, yet totally unobtrusive so a great place to relax and make your own. Good internet.
Cons: Smoking in the bar/restaurant, but this seems common everywhere in Port Vila!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nicely placed not far from the main center, great view. Awesome guys working there, very friendly, thanks a lot to Dan for accommodation! Bar with good choice of food and beverages.
Cons: Bath facilities are not in the room - I haven't really paid attention to it while booking but of course it's mentioned that shower & toilets are shared.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The staff were friendly and the location was stunning.
Cons: The fittings and fixtures need attention. The toilet didn’t work at all, zero water/flush and the bathroom sink tap was falling off. Would have been five star accomadation 15 years ago but hasn’t been maintained.
6.8 Good
Pros: Location is amazing
Cons: Rooms were nothing special and were falling apart a bit
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was an excellent continental style. All you can eat buffet with a good range of options. Location is excellent. Hideaway Island is a wonderful haven for water sports. Snorkelling is very easy with a reef and abundant fish just a few metres of the beach.
Cons: We booked a Beach Lodge, which has shared facilities. The bathrooms were not particularly clean, seemed to only be cleaned once per day which is not enough when used by a number of lodges. Our lodge was in poor condition inside. They seem to be renovating them and we got the last one that has not been renovated yet. The one next to us was in much better condition and was empty for the whole of our stay. We booked the Melanesian Banquet evening on Thursday. Having done something similar in Hawaii, we expected a veritable feast and an entertainment extravaganza. We were disappointed on both counts. The food consisted of some strange dishes so were not sure what we were eating. Nothing on the buffet that we felt we wanted to go back for a second helping of. Which was just as well because they cleared it all away while we were eating. The entertainment consisted of the resort staff singing and dancing around a fire. The meal and entertainment were all over within an hour, which seemed quite brief given the cost of the event.
7.5 Good
Pros: Amazing snorkelling with an abundance of fish - totally incredible - food was nice and service friendly - we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend anyone to stay or visit just for the day!
Cons: Villa could be cleaner and more mosquito proof - I’m probably a bit overly worried about this but there were gaps in doors - made me a bit paranoid at night! Also boat tour nearly ran over my kids which was a bit scary - would recommend not snorkelling when they are active which wasn’t very often anyway
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The snorkeling right out front was calm and good, feel worlds away on the island but your not! So very affordable and they gave many of us our own cabin!
Cons: Explanation of what to do when dropped At the jetty not just left ! Was easy once I knew.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place, having a separate island to yourself. Getting there is not a problem with regularly operating ferry. Very friendly and helpful personal. Pleasant snorkelling place.
Cons: Dinner is pretty expensive, but on the other side you have Beach Bar as alternative with more various menu and slightly lower costs. Dorm lavatories were ok but could've been a bit better.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The super-friendly staff who made us feel so welcome and at home, especially the wonderful Stella in Reception, Josh, Veronique, Richard and all the other staff in the kitchen and behind the bar, Roy on the ferry and Brian and Greg in the Dive shop, plus all the other happy friendly staff who's names I didn't catch. The fish we could see snorkelling just off shore were spectacular and we even saw a couple of turtles! The included glass bottomed boat tour, snorkel safari and the use of snorkel equipment, kayaks and stand-up-paddleboards meant we were never bored and spent so much time in or on the water. Stella's village walk is a must if you have the time. It really helped us to appreciate the struggles the local villagers have endured especially since cyclone Pam. That we could walk to the Cascades from the ferry was a bonus too!
Cons: Don't forget to bring reef shoes.....the coral on the beach is sharp!!!
5.4 Okay
Pros: I've seen this resort passing by and it looks very nice.
Cons: Had to cancel my reservation a week before my reservation but couldn't get my money back. To be fair, this is clearly stated in their policy. I just wish they were a bit more forgiving.
7.0 Good
Pros: Amazing snorkeling spot! Good sunset spot. Safe place.
Cons: Aging hotel... Not as good as I taught it will be for the price... Not the best wifi I had in Vanuatu..
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Loved Hideaway Island. The pool vila was wonderful with all of its outside features. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The restaurant staff was not very friendly or eager to help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved everything above Hideaway Island. We stayed in a beach villa which exceeded our expectations by far. It was perfect for our family (two boys). We loved the freedom the children had to play on the beach especially while we were waiting for our beautiful evening meals. The coconut curry was superb! Our boys (4 and 6) loved waking up and heading out for a kayak then a snorkel. The staff are fabulous, super friendly and great with kids. We loved our stay and highly recommend it to other families. Don’t forget your reef shoes, they are a must!!!

Pros: We liked the location, friendly staff and clean environment. The room facility was very good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the relaxed island feel
Cons: Need a proper fridge in room
6.8 Good
Pros: LOCATION
Cons: we wrote our visa card numbers on a paper upon our arrival and they keep it after our stay, they don't have a machine to take a credit card impression. The paiement is not safe in this hotel. Why they keep such confidential information after our living ? The breakfast very poor ,the bread not good, they don't clean tables at the breakfast ,you eat on a very dirty table left by the customer before you. Even the floor never clean,so many flies compare to other hotels .The bathroom are mouldiness.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Overpriced food and drinks. Food quality pretty poor. No water supplied yet told you shouldn’t drink tap water! Nowhere to buy incidentals like advertised.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great room with comfortable beds, good view and a really lovely balcony.
Cons: The pool restaurant was terrible and both my husband and I got food poising during our stay. The resort also had major problems with the water when we were there, there was no water during a whole evening and our toilet didn't work the next day. We understand that things can happen, but we didn't get very much information when it happened.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The resort itself was breathtaking, the facilities and the rooms were just as depicted on the photos, and the view from the island is beautiful!
Cons: Not all staff is fluent in both English and French. They could work a bit more in the reception of guests, as we didn’t receive an appropriate greeting until we told them that we were overnight guests. Internet was terrible on the property.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: All of the above. Our room was excellent and the house keeping staff were excellent .the infinity bar and pool was excellent .
Cons: Some of the facilities were looking a bit tired. The sunset bar and pool area was not the best and could do with a revamp particularly the bar and food area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything sooooo fantastic
Cons: None
5.5 Okay
Pros: The ground, pool and staff were lovely.
Cons: The over the water bungalows faced Port Villa and have a noise issue. We booked an over the water bungalow and on the Wednesday and Friday nights the noise form the night club across the water in Port Villa was so loud that we were unable to sleep. This went on until 2.30 - 3 am in the morning. We had friend in the next bungalow and they actually had ear plugs and were still able to hear the noise. If you have already booked an over the water bungalow I suggest that you try and change it to a room at the back of the island facing away from Port Villa, if you are unable to do so I suggest that you take good quality ear plugs. This is extremely disappointing given the prices charged for these bungalows.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and nice quiet time for me and my partner
Cons: Casino

Pros: The view of the lagoon was lovely. The staff friendly, bed was comfortable.

6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast was lovely
Cons: We had a very late check in, security guards Took us to our room, there was an air conditioner but we could not find the remote control & had no one to speak to. I then read the fine print which said additional cost for air con which we would of paid if I’d seen it

Overall, amenities were great- rooms were comfortable, prices reasonable and the buggy service everytime we needed to get room our room-reception- perfect.

Pros: The comfiest bed we have ever slept on!!! The staff were just gorgeous. So friendly and lovely. Really nice pool and man-made beach area. Happy hour was half price drinks which was great value. Food in the restaurant was great. Only a 15/20 min walk to centre of Port Vila. Had a fantastic time.
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t the best, but still always found things we liked to fill up. Very hilly but the buggies accommodate that so not an issue!

Pros: Average location was great
Cons: Lack of whole fresh fruit
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location beautiful & close enough to walk into town.
Cons: Food often served warm( not great value when it is so expensive). Had called for assistance with getting TV to work, was told twice someone would come immediately, waited several hours. Not great when we had to stay in the room with a sleeping baby & wanted to take that opportunity to watch a movie.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location good beds
Cons: Staff were very unhappy within the workplace due to the number of complaints by guests staying. Internet, tv & phones were down the while time of our stay. Guest facilities around the pool very dirty. Would not stay here ever again. Checked out a day early staff didn’t seem to care at all didn’t even ask why we were leaving early. Property smelt of raw sewage when entering our room. Bag assistance was not available had to walk up a large hill to get to reception bag staff took 4 hours to deliver bags after several requests. We didn’t bother even asking for assistance on check out. Would not recommend anyone to stay here there are much better properties to stay in Port Vila.

Cons: Everything was amazing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: great breakfast although could have been kept hotter
Cons: next time I would request a balcony room as the ground floor units very open to passersby when sitting outside room.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Room was immaculate, bed extremely comfortable, and balcony overlooking the lagoon was nice. We really appreciated the kitchen facilities over our week stay. Kayak use included in room price was also a nice touch. The beach fire show on the Friday Night was unexpected but amazing, would definitely ask the staff if this is happening while you’re staying.
Cons: About a 30 min walk to town which isn’t actually too bad except. especially when a bus can be flagged down for a lift into town for only 150 vatu. Couldn’t have asked for much more from our stay.

Pros: The owner Ian, was fabulous from the time we arrived to departure. Helping with any difficulties, ie hacksawing off my disfunctional digital lock; to providing more airtight containers for leftovers, etc etc, the list goes on. Nothing was a trouble for him. He is also very gracious socially, joining in & contributing if the occasion arises. Oli in the reception greeted every enquiry with a smile & an answer. The cleaning staff were more than willing to please & do that little bit extra. Location, location, location ! Waterfront Chalet with jetty at the bottom of a beautiful garden & set away from other properties was privacy plus. Great sunrise vistas & watching the local outriggers going to market. Kayaks available & great wifi free !! Fabulous for romantic couples or large family group as loft has extra beds. Property is easy walking distance to shops, market, cafe & town. Or easy to jump in a passing bus. ~ While away the time going with the flow ~ Thank you all at Sea Change for a lovely stay.
Cons: Not mentioned in description - steep descent to bungalow down many narrow dimly lit garden steps or driveway. But Ian helped with lifts in his car when possible.

Pros: Very clean and comfortable accommodation, had everything we needed. Walking distance to shopping centre. Friendly hosts and very helpful. Loved our stay. Will be back for longer stay next time.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Had a lovely 3 night stay there recently. Ian and Oli were incredibly welcoming and they promptly accommodated my date changes rather last minute. Ian even drove my boyfriend and I into town on a Sunday as it's often quieter and slightly more difficult to get a bus into town. We spent an evening kayaking in the lagoon and it was perfect.
Cons: Biting insects! I found the lagoon side of Vila to have more biting insects than other places we'd spent time in in Efate and Tanna. We got bitten quite a bit while out kayaking and hanging around outside in the evenings but nothing a bit of insect repellent can't do.

Pros: Everything was brilliant, staff, food, etc. We would have no hesitation in recommending Poppy’s to anybody.
Cons: Loved everything.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Poppy’s is located close enough to town to access all the excitement of the other bars/restaurants but also far enough away to feel like you are on your own personal island. The resort staff are incredible and give Vanuatu itself a wonderful name. The gardens are outstanding and we spent hours walking the property. As a young family, we found having our own kitchen and space very accommodating. We will definitely be back.
Cons: Lighting in the bathrooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great with the little beach by the lagoon. Kids went jet biking and loved it. Pool was great but needed more lounge chairs as lots of families there. Food was good, staff very friendly and the cocktails were yummy. Only here 2 nights as been in Vanuatu 12 days and this was a relaxing end to our holiday. The security guards kindly carried all our bags up to the car at 4.30am for us. Thanks guys
Cons: We had a 3 bed villa so thought there would be clothes washing facilities or at least a guest laundry to use. Need to pay the ladies to wash the clothes which would be expensive if staying there for extended period of time especially with kids. Need more staff on at breakfast as had to wait nearly 20 minutes for plates and then another 20 minutes for food/coffee to be restocked.
7.5 Good
Pros: Family friendly
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly comfy beds and great location
Cons: Breakfast was a bit slow and there could have been more variety
8.0 Excellent

7.0 Good
Pros: Location to town, easy walk. Culture shock between resort and town. Feel very privileged to have grown up in Australia. Bed was comfortable, not as large as appeared in photos. It was a queen, looked like king, but again, was comfortable. Thick pillows. We always byo but FYI for other travellers. Quite spacious. Small wardrobe, no draws. 4 night stay would have been nice to unpack. Air conditioning was valued. Overall good room, lovely view, good light with balcony doors open. Quite clean. Information folder in the room was one of the best I've ever seen. Comprehensive, well presented, up to date and useful! Some movies available at reception ( in the event of a rain,y day). Sport hut was disappointing in terms of snorkelling gear and reef shoes. Would suggest byo. Continental breakfast was Adequate. Restaurant is in great location on beach. Spotlessly clean. First time in port villa. I think it was one of the nicer 3 star hotels. And while it's a 15 minute walk into town, there isn't lots to do in town so retreating to a nice resort after exploring PV was good. Didn't discover any great restaurants in town so were happy to eat dinner here and not walk in the dark. Just one negative. There seemed to be a bit of noise from barking dogs throughout the night. We love dogs but it got a bit annoying. Not Poppy's fault. Would recommend this property.
Cons: Shower screen needs replacing (mould and soap scum build up. Barking dogs through the night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place, kind helpful staff, kids loved it ans so did us - parents!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Marie, Allan and the team were excellent! Our family felt like we were part of their family! It was the perfect place to relax, go for a paddle, read a book or chat with family and friends in between the amazing tours organised by Marie!
Cons: Nothing. Wifi was available if you wanted it, but it was also really great for those who wanted to disconnect and just soak up the sounds of the birds and geckos in the gardens
4.5 Okay
Pros: Some of the staff were nice the road needs repairing we would not go back their
