10 min walk from center in quiet residential area at harbour. Nothing special, but the right thing to go to if you end up in Itea. everything OK
Very nice hotel, I was very satisfied Some problems with wifi
Clean, comfortable hotel with courteous staff on a quiet stretch of beach with good swimming. Breakfast had cold eggs and overall not very appealing. Central town with choice of restaurants is a 10 - 15 minute walk with not many choices in the immediate vicinity of hotel.
we liked the hotel in total.Luxurius hotel for 65 Euros, breakfast including, absolutely by the sea.Very polite and helpful staff. there was a minor problem with the bed springs.we could feel them...when in bed.
Verry nice hotel with excellent value for money. There is a stone mine facing the hotel on the other cost and it starts working early in the morning so if you leave you terace door opened it will most certanly wake you up verry early
The location of the hotel was very good & picturesque. Also very centrally located in the heart of the little town facing the sea.
Good design of the lobby, spacious balkony, clean bathroom Bad arrangement of the closet.you could hit your head standing up at night
Staff very friendly and eficient. Very good location the sea is two steps reach and is quiet None
Efficient staff, clean, nice location Not a bad point, but breakfast did not have a big variety.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Quiet location.
Excellent hotel with comfortable rooms and a great pool. We had a room with a seaview which I recommend to anybody staying here, as not only do you get fabulous views over the Gulf of Corinth, but you also avoid traffic noise which could be a problem at the front of the hotel. Our only complaint concerns the location of the hotel. We expected the hotel to be in Galaxidi, but it is about 2 miles from the town on the main road to Itea. This meant using the car to get to the local tavernas in Galaxidi in the evening when we would have preferred to be able to walk.
Very friendly Family business, nice setting with pool giving to see and rooms with balconies. Very good value for money.
I stayed here for only a night but the experience is extremely positive. Like many small greek hotels, Porto Lourba is run by a family - helpful and friendly people. This is a beach hotel but has the family warmth of a ski chalet. Our room is very clean, comfortable and comes with a balcony which looks out to the cottage garden and the sea .. illuminated by the full moon that night. Satisfying breakfast at the spotlessly clean garden patio looking out to olive trees, lemon trees and other mediterranean features. I would love to come back in late spring for a longer stay. Driving to Galaxidi after sunset is a very challenging task with hardly any light along the long winding mountain roads. Luckily, this hotel puts up a big sign by the road which makes it easy to spot. It is situated about 2km from the porto town of Galaxidi where there are sea-fronting restaurants.
Sea view, breakfast
Very nice tidy hotel by the sea, but not the most ideal for swimming in the sea. A lovely pool available The hotel is 4km out of the gorgeous village of Galaxidi.
Personal touches at the hotel, both in the furnishings, the delicious breakfast - including home made lemon butter on lemon cake, assistance from staff, and the village feel to Galaxidi.
Pretty and inside a quiet stret close to Galaxidi harbour. There was also a very nice restaurant around the corner. The floors and doors are old type made of wood so every noise from inside the room or from the corridor can pass.
The hotel, a very familial and cosy pension, is Situated at a walking distance of the lovely port of Galaxidi. The breakfast is unbelievably gorgeous.
First, the Galaxidi location, a perfect place for Delphi and the Gulf without the hub-bub of some neighboring towns and also beautiful in itself. Great seafood at the small port, great homemade jams etc. for breakfast at the Ganimede, and a few little beaches nearby if that's also on the agenda.
Very beautiful B&B, very clean. Great breakfast. The owner is extremely polite.
everything...beautiful old house, very quiet, good bathroom, breakfast with homemade jams etc, wonderful place to stay in a lovely part of greece
very comfortable establishment with considerable charm, a lovely garden, nice breakfast, courteous staff, central location
Personal service by the owner, hospitality, quiet location with a great view. n/a
The owner of this hotel went out of her way to assist me. I needed a doctor, pharmacy, & somwhere to eat and she offered to take me without hesitation. She also called me several days later after the visit to the doctor to see how I was. This impressed me very much, a very thoughtful thing to do. Location is approximately 10 km out of town, and the views are fantastic.
It was very relaxing to go back to our hotel. We had a beautiful stay in 3 very nice rooms that were adjoined almost like a house. The kitchen was nice to cook in and our entire family loved to sit on the patio in the evenings and look at the view of the ocean and mountains that surrounded us. Every morning our hostess served us a wonderful and filling breakfast that everyone eagerly awaited and always enjoyed.
This was like being welcomed into someone's home - a really personal experience.
Fantastic view- stylish furniture-nice little village-i loved the huge window with the mountain view in the shower-the goodmorning smile of mrs vassiliki
The place - a quiet mountain village, away from the city. It's no so easy to find the location. The lack of air condition.
Not easy to find but then the village is very nice, the hotel is different and very unique. You fill like being with a family.
The relax and the astonishing landscape, We were out of crowd places but only at a few minutes of distance
Well located, in a charming small village with a most beautiful view. The house itself is charming and the welcome is most friendly and nice.
Arhontiko Gerofoti is a pleasant, quiet hotel, ideal for a relaxing weekend or a longer stay.
We arrived at the hotel and found out that the hotel was fully shut down. luckily the manager was in the vicinity and informed about the closure. no signs on the door --nothing.
It was clean and quiet. Breakfast was poor
Position of hotel on water's edge. Rooms very modern and ours extremely spacious. Too far out of galaxidi- no where to eat nearby within walking distance.
Enjoyed the swimming pool - hotel did not have many clients - as such we largely had big pool to ourselves They could have done more - i.e. sold ice-creams around the pool.
Everything! The room was large, comfortable and modern with a big bathroom. A nice balcony with a great view over the pool and the sea (all rooms seem to have a sea view). The pool is fantastic and the sea is right behind and is safe for swimming. They served a set menu because a group was staying, but it was good food and they offered more of every course. Only 30 mins drive from Delphi Meal was a set menu with no choice. The hotel is nowhere near the town or amenities.
We stayed at the Europa Beach on our way back to Athens. The hotel has magnificent views across the bay - I'm just sorry we didn't have time to spend at least one extra day there.
the swiming pool is very large the breakfast is not at the right level of this type of hotel, very poor for a 4 stars confort
the location and the view from the room, close to the sea. -the swimming pool -
Spacious, spotless and splendid. Lovely pool and stunning views from the balcony. Very relaxing. No restaurant. After driving 550 miles that day the last thing I wanted to do was get into the car to find a restaurant. I was offered chicken sandwiches but I'd already had that for lunch.and would have really loved to have a meal where all I had to do was go upstairs afterwards to bed.
fantastic staff and service. Splendid view and facilities
the friendlyness and eagerness of the staff/owners to satisfy our every need/wish...
Me and my family had a great time in this boutique hotel with the friendly warm atmosphere. The breakfast was homemade and delicious and our room was spacious, clean and decorated in good taste. The bed mattress was exceptional and into the room there was an additional bed sofa with very comfortable mattress as well. The bathroom was very clean and into the shower there was plenty room for two. Actually we were so excited that we asked from the owners to show us the other rooms of the hotel in order to know which one to book in our next visit. Each one of them was beyond our expectations but the best of all was the suite "Kosmima" (Jewel). Honestly I have stayed in many Greek hotels but this one is certainly one of the best. None
Nice looking familty hotel with large rooms, recently refreshed and with all standard facilities. Owners didn't really speak english. Breakfast was a bit poor and the coffee really bad. Didn't test the espresso machine though. We also had to pay when arriving instead of when leaving. My Visa credit card was refused when working antwhere else. But the one from my wife did work, curious.
We where well recieved. The hotel looked very new. Everything impeccably clean. The hotel was dfficult to find. In the village of Galaxidi noboddy seemed to know it. The address of the hotel did not appear on our TomTom so the manager had to come and get us from a central location in town. We asked for a good restaurant and got a referral to a mediocre and expensive restaurant at the harbour. All in all the price €120, was to high. Th price should have been in the €70-€90 range.
The staff is fantastic, and more than willing to tend to your every need. This hotel made me feel at home, and it is located in the beautiful, relaxed town of Galaxidi.
